Evening all,

It's been raining off and on here all day and so dark and dreary too that we haven't felt like doing much at all ,i see we're in for wet and windy weather on saturday now.
I thought of some thing the other day that i would put on here now for the life of me i carn't think what it was !!! must be my age :-S

Sounds as if you enjoyed your holiday Anne and had some good nights sleep , you must have been nice and relaxed , i see Ruby had a friend to play with too.

Ann i had to smile when you said about OH trying to put the Hare's leg back together :-0 :-D his face must have been a picture , i bet they had the CCTV cameras on that Hare watching people picking it up and gingerly putting it back before anyone see's them :-D :-D

Jane that was a close call with the window cleaner :-0 :-D

Evening All,

Glad you had a great week away Anne and slept so well. Ruby must have loved having a playmate! :-) It's good your dad's old shop is still there and amazing it still has the same name, so many get swept away in redevelopment these days.

Gill I'm glad the Macmillan nurses have been good with your BIL as our experience with MIL was not good. One came and was glued to her laptop making no eye contact and we never saw or heard from them again. Most unlike OH, he will not donate anything to them now. It is very hard watching someone change and look older and see the effect of the chemo. His wife is being very supportive to have her own hair cut off. I do hope the chemo is working. I hope your throat and cough are soon better.

Frank you won't be having one of those fish pies again! There are some good tv progs on if you search around. I wish they would put all the plus + channels next to the ordinary channel as I have a job to find them sometimes!

I hope you soon feel a bit better Mel. Which tablets do you think are causing it?

We went to the garden centre as planned this morning. My word the restaurant is huge and really nice!! You order at the top then there is a wide carpeted path down the middle the full length with tables and chairs along each side and in nooks and crannies. Down the side we sat there were 2 big freestanding log fires with 4 glass sides each and a chimney that went up to the ceiling like a pillar. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and OH is already talking about going back in a few more weeks. The display of the Trees and decorations was up to their usual impressive standard. New things I saw were water spinners which are christmassy scenes in lanterns or a see through oblong box that are lit up and battery operated keeping the glitter swirling around. One was in a large alarm clock body. Some of the baubles were almost football size! They had lovely advent calendars and wreaths and a long ornament with the words 'The Twelve Days of Christmas and each number had what it represented entwined eg 3 french hens. I would have got one only it was about £100!! They had a Halloween section too that even had black, cobweb style tablecloths!

Don't these dark nights make it seem later. I can see me trotting off to bed early.

Ann the nights are really drawing in now at an alarming rate. I have to watch it as sometimes I am doing something and its nearly dark before I have shut the chickens in and fed the hogs.

We had roast beef tonight and thats the first time I have cooked it for ages. Puds sprouts carrots roast tatoes roast onions and parsnips and stuffing for oh of mushroom nd onion and gravy made with the carrot water and the meat juices. Choc eclairs for dessert so now I am stuffed.

Watched Doc Martin and with dinner we watched a program on Chinese porcelain and the journey it made to get to england. It was very interesting. Someone did a house clearance and they found this vase which sold at auction for 42 million pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-S

The Christmas display of things sounds interesting Ann. Some sifferent things there then. I must go to Homeleigh and see what they are offering this year. They have so much stuff it gives you a eye ache looking at it all. I come out quite dizzy sometimes and find I hav'nt bought a thing.

Morning all,

Had the Error page aain this morning and came in through the Customer Support on that page. I have to click on that go to General Chat Click on my thread and post something to get to the last page.

Its getting ridiculous now as this has been going on for weeks and months.

Dull old day today and its really damp out. There were lots of stars in the sky last night so I left some washing out but its wetter than when I put it on the line.

I have my breast squashing test tomorrow. Hate it hate it hate it.

Morning my little beauties, evening Kim,

Mel I had been trying to get on here for almost half an hour. No matter which way I try to get on the latest page, up comes that "ERROR PAGE" so I go back and try again. I just hope I am able to post this.

Welcome home Anne, so pleased you had a nice break and Ruby had a good time.

Horrible morning here, it looks like a FOG hanging over everything . We must have had rain in the night, as everywhere looks very wet outside.

Ros has done a basket of ironing, that now sits on the airer in the conservatory. If the sun appears it will get aired, if not the heating will come on this evening and that will do the job. We don't need to go out there so no problem.

Ann was this a new Garden Centre you have found ?? It sounds a very nice restaurant, which is nice. Glad you enjoyed your visit.

My digestive system must be in a right old mess, The Belly pork played me up all evening. Even though I stayed up until 11.00 pm. I still had indigestion when I went to bed.

Ros commented this morning WHY when she comes to bed I say "IS THAT YOU". Who the Bl@@dy hell do you think it is, your lady friend ???

Had my shower and when getting dressed I had one of my sneezing bouts. I bet I sneezed 25 times, and my head was swimming. I still have this horrible stuffy head.

Ros rang Jan this morning, she is now over her COLD and steroids . She said she is starting to feel like a WOMAN again. !!!

I can't believe my eyes. THE SUN HAS JUST COME OUT. and I can feel the warmth through the windows.

I trust everyone is well. I will try to pop back later. I was up from 12.30 am till 4.00 this morning, so might catch a bit of shut eye LOL LOL.

Still not been able to get straight on here. ERROR< ERROR< ERROR. They need to get themselves sorted out.

I spoke to soon the morning, as I posted the sun went in, and hasn't returned since.

Ros is going to Val's the afternoon to sort out the song sheets for the choir tonight. So I will have a read, and perhaps forty winks.

Frank if you get the Erroe Page after posting your post does go through. You have repeated yourself three times. Ha ha.

Glad someone has had a LITTLE sun this morning as its as dull as dishwater here and has been all the time so far. Just before we had lunch it started to rain so oh went out and bropught my washing in that had been out all night. I washed a Danimac yesterday on a wool wash and it only spun on 400. It was dripping wet when I hung it on the line. I was frightened to spin it any higher incase it creased it badly and I think the label said no spin and no dryer. I still rung the cord cuffs out twice this morning but now it is havging on the door fram to the lounge in the kitchen

Is Jane away now?

Annx Report 19 Oct 2017 15:11

Afternoon All,

We have the same foggy mist/drizzle here Frank and I got quite wet going out without my coat. It sounds like you need those 40 winks today after a bad night. It looks like that fish pie really upset your tum but belly pork is very fatty which may not have helped if your tum was still a bit delicate. Hopefully you will be ok again now. I was up 4 times in the night for the loo. I did drink a lot in the evening though so maybe that was the reason. I hope so! If that happened every night there would be no time to sleep!!!

At least you can replace the bulbs in the old fairy lights Gill. I still have some up in the loft somewhere. I ought to put them up somewhere this year. I bet Sandra loved getting the stocking for her friend's baby!

What a lovely memory for today Mel when you bought Little Red! He must have been a bright chestnut in colour. How long did you have him?

The garden centre is an old one that they have spent a lot of money on updating it in the last few years Mel. Here's a pic of the restaurant. I hadn't realised it seated 360, but we liked it with just a few in!!

http://www.gatesgardencentre.co.uk/restaurant/

I see the egg production is going up! I've been lucky with the error page, just had a few days where it came up when I tried to post.

Have you remembered the memory you had forgotten Mandy? I expect the grandchildren are starting to get excited with Halloween, Bonfire night then Christmas to follow! :-)

Tidying in the study for me next and keeping an eye open for that stick!

I am still here :-D. Just packed my case and filled a box with tea, coffee, and all the other bits and bobs we will need. As we are eating out tomorrow night and then again Saturday lunch I am just taking some rolls ,ham, bacon a light bite Sat eve and Cereal and bread for toasting for breakfast .Oh and eggs too in case we fancy Bacon and eggs on Sunday. I just have my toilet bag to pack in the morning.

What a filthy day. I took Thomas to the Cattery at 9 and it was thick fog and heavy drizzle .Not a pleasant journey on the A14 . :-S No sun at all today and it is now drizzling again . At the Cattery there are a couple of BIG Ducks that just wander around. I asked if any of the eggs had hatched that had been layed when I was there last time. None hatched. The lady said that there had been 19 laid. One duck was missing and apparently it drowned in the pond!!!. :-(.. I have not heard of a Duck drowning before.

I have done that Meatloaf again for dinner. I hope it is as nice as my first one.

So I will say tatty bye for now and will be joining you all again on Sunday Eve.
:-D..Be good (Frank) and if you can't be good be careful :-D :-D

Evening all

A dull wet day today so we all mucked in and gave this place a bit of a spring clean. Sandra lost the back of her earring the other day so she wouldn't let me hoover. MIL had some spares and gave her one so I've been able to do the hoovering today, I've also changed the bedding and the kitchen and bathroom have had a good going over. The windows need cleaning but with it raining I decided to leave them for another day. Then when all that was done I had a lovely bath and fell asleep on the sofa, I've not long woken up. I've still got my sore throat and cough and haven't slept very well lately so I was shattered this afternoon.

When we went to the garden centre the other day we saw those water spinners Ann, they're really nice aren't they and small enough to pop on the fireplace. The restaurant sounds lovely and very posh with the carpet down the middle, is it RED lol ;-) :-D

Enjoy your time away Jane, hope the weather isn't to wet for you. I've never heard of a duck drowning either......very strange :-S

I got the error page when I tried to get on here just now. It sounds like you've had a day of it Frank trying to get here. I noticed your post came through three times.

I'm going to post this now and hope it lets it go through. Maybe if I keep it short it should go through okay.

The weather has been very miserable all day but I did manage to take Ruby out but it then started to rain and she put her brakes on, so not a very long walk.
Sainsburys delivered not long after we got back it was a little earlier than planned so we were back in time thanks to Ruby.

Gill it sounds like you have all been working your socks off today no wonder you fell asleep afterwards,

Hopefully your digestion is better now Frank,

I hope Jane enjoys her break away and the weather is kind to her..

Just watching Back in Time for Dinner it's a repeat but still interesting to watch then later on it's Paul O'Grady.

Just heard Marilyn my SIL, the widow of Peter's youngest brother Ronald who died aged 28 has suddenly passed away. We didn't see or hear much from her after she moved back to Norwich. She and Ronald had two daughters and a son the youngest daughter was born about 6 weeks after his death which was on Peter's birthday. He had bowel cancer a very sad time for the family.

Morning Mandy and Mel, morning all

We haven't got any sun today it's damp and look like we've had some rain in the night.

Something strange happened this morning, when we got up it felt rather warm which I couldn't work out as we didn't have our heating on, when I felt the radiator it was warm so it looks like the timer came on even though it was on off. We did notice last night that the timer light was going on and off for a short time so we think there maybe a problem with the timer. At least the heating is coming on rather than staying off but if it keeps doing that our bills are going to be through the roof. We'll have to keep an eye on it and if it's faulty get someone in to sort it out.

I've re-potted another plant today, for some reason I left it in it's original pot that I started the cuttings in rather than potting it up, so that's done now and is in the greenhouse along with the other 4 plants, they are all salvia's and don't like cold weather so rather than losing them I thought it best to pop them in a slightly warmer place now the nights are getting colder. I can keep an eye on them as well.

Sorry to hear about your SIL Mandy, I'm thinking of you.

Are you going somewhere nice today Mel? Hope the weather stays sunny for you.

Going to take a look at OH's family tree now, I only put one person on yesterday so a disappointing day, hopefully I'll find more peeps today :-)
