Hubby says thanks for the get well wishes Frank. Sorry to hear about your sister, it seems to be one thing after another doesn't it? I really hope things improve for her soon <3 How nice to find all those photo's, it sounds like Simon was pleased with the ones you gave him.

Afternoon All Horrible murky day today. I think the lights have been on all day. The window man came at 11.30 and was done by 11.55.Nice easy job for him . He changed both window handles as the style has changed slightly and it wouldn't look right with 2 different styles on the same window. Chris was at the Dentist to have his cracked filling redone. I havent been out at all today. So have got a few jobs done and some more Xmas cards written.
Gill,I do hope that OH will soon feel much better now he has the antibiotics and Steroids. I am sure he will soon be fit enough to go and see his Brother. He cant risk spreading any germs at the moment.
Frank, your poor Sister now having to have the Camera investigation. She has been through an awful lot just lately. That was a lovely idea of yours to forward those family photos to Simon :-D
Ouch Mel your toe sounds painful. Does it feel a bit like a paper cut? That skin in between the toes is quite thin and easliy split.
Lamb Shanks for Chris and I tonight. My favourite Tesco Finest ones. They sit on a bed of lovely juicy Parsnips and Carrots so all the flavour from the Lamb goes right into the veg :-D :-D.. I will just do a few potatoes for Chris .I find this meal so filling that I dont think I could eat any pots tonight. James is not too keen on Lamb so he will have to make do with Southern Fried Chicken Fillets and Sweet Potato Chips.
I ordered a couple more things on line today. A weather station thing for Chris for the garden.I was really struggling to know what to buy that would be a surprise . I have a list of other things that he would like ,but he wont be surprised with them . I have been waiting all day for James to email me details of a jacket that Jess would like so I could order it.But as usual I am still waiting. James promised me he would email me when he got to work this morning !!!
I did my exercises on the lounge floor but my word it was so uncomfortable .I think a little pilow under my head might help. I didn't think I was going to get up LOL. But after heaving myself around onto my knees I pulled myself up by hanging on the side of the armchair.
Chris bought me an Amaryllis yesterday and it is now potted up and on the windowsill. I am always astounded once they start to grow with the speed it happens. We didn't have one last year and I think that must have been the first Christmas ever that we forgot to get one. I think I will wait until the beginning of December to get a Poinsettia . Are they in the garden centres yet?
I said I hadn't been out today. I did. I had a phone call ar 9 am from the Beauty Salon to say she had had just had a cancellation for 10am. That was so lucky as when I rang yesterday she was fully booked until right up to Christmas !!. So I will not have unruly eyebrows for Xmas :-D. Plus the odd whisker on my chinny chin chin have gone too :-D :-D. Left the house at 9.50 and was home again by 10.20 in time for Chris to go to the Dentist . One of us had to be here for when the window man came.
I keep thinking it is Tuesday today for some reason.

Yes Mel I have received your eMails thanks. That was a fair old price to pay for a Christmas Tree. But thinking back ours which you build from a stork, and add the branches from bottom to top, cost over £100.00 a fair few years ago, but goes on and on, year after year, so doesn't owe us anything.
I ordered one of these "fingerlings" for Lara's dight for christmas. but I see the EBAY have withdrawn them from the site. They must have a fault or something. Now to get my money back. I have sent a request to the seller. Next step EBAY.
Ros was a bit disappointed She never lost any weight this week, but Isaid at least you DIDN'T put any on. LOL LOL.
I did myself B Beans and bacon on toast at lunchtime and Ros did the same when she came home. So neither of us feel hungry this evening. Perhaps we will later and have something then. Not a nice evening here, so it's round the tele, after her soaps, nor sure what's on but I will find something on SKY.
Hope everyone is O.K. and enjoyed your day. xxx

What are fingerlings Frank?
Mel I was looking at artificial trees last year and thinking how realistic some of them are now. I had to touch some just to check !. We will still be having a real tree. It will be the same tradition with me and James going to buy one and arguing over which one to get :-D Its all good fun :-S. I pay so I choose :-D :-D Simple :-D

Yes Jane I shall miss the real tree but it is so heavy now its in a huge pot and there's three steps up to get it on the patio and then he has to get it over the step bit of the door. This one is from Balsam trees and its the Norwegian grand fir and has the lights on it. Its in three parts that you put together and has spare bulbs and two pairs of gloves and a bag to keep it all in.
Take a look
https://www.balsamhill.co.uk/p/norwegian-grand-fir-artificial-christmas-tree
Its still at the sale price. Mines the 5ft.

Mel that looks a lovely tree :-D.. It looks like you have got yourself a really great bargain there. We only had one artificial tree and that was just when we had Chester when he was little tinker of a pup.I was worried about real pine needles getting in his paws. Thomas is now the one to keep an eye on.He batted several baubles off the tree and at one point tried to climb it :-S.. I think I sent a video clip the first Xmas we had him having a go at the baubles ! :-D :-D
We had the most lovely thankyou card from Matthew and Kelsey today. Chris heard me saying Ahh ! Oh Ahh!....he said you aren't going to cry are you? ...Yes I was. After thanking us for being there for the wedding and the gift Matthew then said Thank you for always being there for my Mum and Dad.It makes me so happy that you Aunty Jane and my Mum are so close and are always there for each other . I thought that was so lovely and really heart felt .Made me blub . Just a little :-)

Evening All,
Your poor sister Frank, now more investigations to have. I bet she enjoyed her trip out in the wheelchair though. I bet Ros was wishing she hadn't had that pudding you made the other day when she saw the scales! I think it is common that your weight stalls after 2-3 weeks so next week's weigh in should be better.
I know our tree was over £100 in the sales a few years ago. It is like Mel's, prelit and in 3 sections, but is narrower as I wanted one that I could stand the stool closer to to decorate the top! The previous one was like Frank's that had the trunk then conifer type branches that you attached. We had that one nearly 40 years and I doubt this one will last as long as some of the branches are beginning to be a bit crushed looking now.
I hope your OH soon recovers now he has antibiotics and steroids Gill. He must have been feeling really poorly with the chest infection. I know I was this time last year. The tablets soon work though.
I have been off the pace the past 2 days and didn't sleep much last night. My tum just feels unsettled and a bit grim, probably a tummy bug. I decided and let them know I wouldn't be coming to the hospital meeting tomorrow. It was going to be a bit of a rush anyway as we have to be up at 6.00am tomorrow to sort the beds out as the mattress could be delivered anytime after 7.00am!! It is very firm so I might be having another restless night tomorrow!
It's horrid when something rubs between toes like that Mel, really sore. I'm always slipping shoes off to waggle the seams on my socks elsewhere to make them more comfy. I think I am going to have trouble with some new burgundy coloured shoes. The soles don't bend so my heel tends to slip in the heel of the shoe as I walk. I must see if I can get some heel grips for them and see if that helps.
I hope all is well with Anne.

Morning All,
I was awake from 3.30am and couldn't go back to sleep so no trouble getting up at 6.00am. So here I am, showered, old mattress in the lounge for collection and with everything, pictures, ornaments etc all cleared out of the way for the delivery men. Now it's just that awful waiting game. :-S I must check today's weather to see if it's worth washing the bedding to put out, otherwise I've no excuse for not sorting the mountain of paperwork in here. :-)
That was nice of Matthew to say those lovely things Jane. :-)

Morning Ann and All
Crumbs you will need a lie down on your new mattress for a kip as soon as it arrives after being awake for so long :-D.. Have you a time slot for when it should be delivered? It looks like a nice morning so I think I might manage to get some washing out today and not have to rely on the tumble drier. Chris will be busy clearing leaves from the front. The whole of the gravel is covered and the pavement.
Just off for a shower now.

M orning Ann and Jane and all,
Arn't you all earlier birds this monring. The sun has got its hat on today and there has been a bit of a frost I think but it was very mild out when I turned the outside light off last night. Perhaps is just a heavy dew that the sun is burning off as I can see steam rising from the back field and trees.
I have to go out this morning so won't be around till later on.
Tell Chris he can come and clear our leaves up too please Jane.

The shop said they couldn't even specify if it was am or pm Jane, but the delivery men rang me to say it would be this morning and they've now been and the bed is all made up again........it does seem quite hard compared to the other which was also an orthopaedic one and it is higher too. Tonight will be a test! lol. The chap who is collecting the old one has texted to say he will be here before 11.30am so that will be great and we can nip out for lunch after! We have both said if we got up this early most mornings we'd get loads done! The leaves look lovely but they do make a mess. At my old house I would be knee deep in them in our drive and they were all from next door's tall lilac trees down the side of the drive. Some years he would come and sweep them up while I was at work which was good as we couldn't open the garage doors when they were deep.
Sun's out here now so the washing should dry.
I can't work out what fingerlings are either?? :-S

Well good morning you early birds, and all, evening Kim,
Ann, that is so good to have your new mattress and the bed all made ready for tonight. I thought ours was "HARD" but what a comfortable sleep we have. Neither of us roll to the middle. there is space between us for another person LOL LOL. Each morning it's just smoothing the bottom sheet and making the bed. NO TROUBLE.
I didn't have anything to eat yesterday apart from those Beans and Bacon. I have had three Weetabix so far, this morning and will get a Sausage and bacon later. Ros had a bowl of Pasta. I think with her on this diet, I am not cooking a main dinner at night. So will have to make a few changes.
How nice was that "Thank You Letter" I can just see you standing there with teas running down your cheek. You old softy xxx
Now that the cherry tree has gone, we don't have the leaf problem. Thank goodness !!
I see on the news last night that there is a PET KILLER around the South East. Bedfordshire has had over 250 pets killed and left in the owners gardens on display. A rabbit had it's legs cut off as well as it's head, and laid in the flower bed in the back garden. I know what I would do if I caught him/them.
I haven't been out yet, but it looks very cold with a good North wind. So if you are out and about, wrap up warm. xx

Morning all
New mattress Ann, how lovely. You'll be needing a nap on it this afternoon with being awake so early this morning. ;-) Sorry to hear your tum isn't very good, hope you're feeling better soon <3
What a lovely letter Jane, I don't blame you for having a few tears. Is your window all fixed now? Your plant sounds nice and a poinsettia to look forward to, in time for Christmas. I realised today that it's less than 40 days to Christmas, Sandra is really excited now, bless her.
How awful for those poor pet owners Frank. I hope they catch who ever is doing it soon. I've noticed that we don't have as many leaves in our garden this year with taking the fruit trees out. The apple tree was quite large so there was always lots of leaves coming of it. We're still getting a few leaves off the neighbours oak trees though.
How is your toe today Mel, any better? <3 <3

Toes is a little better thank you Gill. I think it was the socks I was wearing and the bit of fluff I found between the toes that caused the problem. How's hubby today? Is he a bit better now he is on the meds?
Did my appointment with the solicitors and went round the shops. They have changed a few shops in Holsworthy. There's a nice big pet shop now where the old pet and garden and househod shop was. A nice young couple in there. They had a tiny shop in the arcadey bit and not very well stocked but now they have loads of stuff in the new shop. I bought a rabbit hay rack for the bantams to put their green stuff in and I am hoping it works.
Must go and corn them all now.

Have sent you an EM Jane.
Well, we got back from lunch to find we had missed a parcel delivery! I'm now waiting for an email to tell me where to collect it from.
The SOLD sign has been taken down for the bungalow opposite so they must be moving soon. They left just after 6.00am to go to look after the grandchildren this morning so we never see them now.
I see the papers are full of what happened to that young girl they found in the back of the car when those 2 men crashed into a motorbike the other side of the village a few months ago. It's worrying how many seem to think it's ok to drive after taking drugs.
Frank I don't think there will be any rolling anywhere with this mattress either!! lol Could you not freeze half of some of your dinners you cook so you could have them another time? Some pets have been killed in the past for their fur, but how awful to just kill and leave them in the gardens. It's as if the person wanted the owners to know what had happened.
Thanks for the link Mel. The hay rack sounds ideal for the greenstuff.

Found my Wilkinsons scissors day before yesterday and now I have just FOUND MY SILVER RING!!!!!!!!!!!! I also know where the stone is now too so I should be able to get it put back together again when I find a good jewelers. We had a smashing jewelers in Holsworthy and we knew the fellow well but he unfortunately died young.
Maybe Ann will now find her stick.

Mel, It's nice to see a young couple having a success with their Business. It is encouraging for others to try. xx That Hay Rack sounds just the job. I use to hang the cabbages from the roof of the run, so it didn't get dirty.
Ann, there's nothing worse than having to go to the Post Office Depot to pick up a parcel. Ours is a good 10 miles away, and when I got thee it was only a Christmas Icard with NO POSTAGE. That was some years ago. !! I don't tend to freeze meals. I have cooked tonight with loads of VEG for Madam.
It's Thursday. So tonight I can have what I want on T.V. from 7.00 pm when Ros goes to choir. for THREE HOURS. There will be no soaps. I have recored them, so she can watch them when I go to BED.
This afternoon it turned to rain, I had to put the lights on at 2.00 pm as it was so dark. I'm glad it's not me going out tonight. Grrrrr.

Have replied Ann :-D
I hope no-one spots Thomas with his lovely fur. I hear of this happening too often these days and it is just so terrible. Sick people .
I remember you telling us Ann about the body in the back of the car(somewhere near you I think) I have seen it in the news today. Just shocking and sad.
Frank you must make sure you eat properly with Ros on her diet. Good idea of Ann to make meals up and freeze. You will be getting all light headed and wobbly if you dont eat properly and we dont want to hear of any tumbles because of not eating enough !!
Chris had ot go and buy a new leave blower/sucker this morning as he couldnt find the old one ..then realised he had to ditch it last year when it stopped working. I dont think he is feeling 100% today. He went to lie down a couple of hours ago and doesnt seem quite himself. Says his tummy is feeling a bit gurgly :-S.. Maybe the kind of thing you had Ann. I think there are all sorts of bugs and colds going around here. I hope your OH is beginning to feel better now Gill.
I took some trousers back to Tesco this morning and got a few food bits. As I was putting my things on the belt some poor chap collapsed over his big trolley. His friend was desperately trying to hold him up. I heard a lady say Heart Attack !. Then staff arrived and an ambulance was called. I must say he didn't look too clever at all :-(. As i was coming out of the car park the Ambulance came racing in. I do hope he is going ot be ok.
Bangers and Mash here tonight.
