O.K. Mel I will tell her.
It's turned into a filthy afternoon, very fine rain, and the wind is getting up.
Just got to the 12,000 page of my book and it tells me I have read 90% of it.So quite a long book.
I had a bowl of tomato soup for lunch with two slices of bread. I feel full now, so dinner will be later tonight.
Just going to each the news.

Afternoon All I have just got in from a mornings shopping and feel on my knees now. Rushden Lakes was heaving .I really only went to take a top back but came back with loads of shopping. Then I went straight on to Tesco here for cat food and again it was heaving there too.So I am glad to be home and can have a sit down.
I have forwarded that email Frank. Such sad pics :-(
Good job the bank called about that fraudulent payment. Did they say where it was spent? They must have had an idea it wasn't you .Maybe it was somewhere you would never pay anything to .
When I arrived at Tesco Carpark the cyst on my finger popped .I could feel it had been building up again,so my first thing I did was to get a pack of dressings and I opened the pack in the isle and put one on quick.I didnt want to risk leaving it and getting it infected. It does feel more comfortable now more of the stuff has come out.
Its a right old showery afternoon now and the lights are on. Xmas cake cooking in the oven :-D. Chris did that this morning and it is beginning to smell like Xmas :-D :-D I think he might have had a bit of the Brandy last night that he used for the cake :-D I say a bit ,I think maybe a bit more than that LOL He was on about his 'speech' and was beginning to get a bit emotional (ahhh! :-) ) He is worried he won't get through it without crying. But I said he will be fine and he won't be the only one needing a load of tissues :-D I think Gareth might be the worst one. Both sides of the family are right blubbers.
I have just realised it is almost 2.30.I think a bit late for any lunch now. I might just have a Banana to keep me going.

Its turned really windy here and we also have lashing rain I have just had a squirrel on the bird feeder which I took a quick pop shot at. It jumped and went under the box hedge. Had a look out the back door and up the orchard and there it was laughing at me and it ran over the hedge into next door.
Jane has Chris always made the Christmas cake?
I had that chicken in a sandwich for lunch with a mug of soup.
I am now going to do some ironing as I have cleared the board from my craft and moved that lot in the lounge.

Yes Mel, Chris has made the Xmas cake for several years now . Mine were always a disaster :-S. It is to of the oven now and looks really good. Just cooling down before getting it out of the tin. We made a mistake the year before last and took it out too soon and it started falling apart.
The wind is really getting stronger now but no rain yet. So the Squirrel had a lucky escape :-D. I have seen ours around today looking for buried goodies in the lawn.
How is BIL doing Mandy? I hope things are still going well for him. I am going to have a look outside in a minute to see if Mr Thomas is ready to come in fo the night. I had a dreadful nights sleep last night. Was awake at 3 and that was it then. I finished reading a book on my kindle and then watched 3 episodes of Killer on the Lake. I feel quite pooped now :-S

Afternoon all
Very windy here at the moment, I think we have a bit of a storm on the way.
So you're having the lady make you one fascinator, I'd love to see a picture when it's done Jane. Hannah is going to look lovely on the big day with her dress hair and makeup all the way she wants it. Is she getting nervous yet?
It sounds like you have a brilliant bank Frank letting you know about your card, at least it won't be used again. Will the bank reimburse the money? I hope they do and you haven't lost it. I wonder how it happened in the first place, could the bank let you know so you don't use your new card where ever it was.
Did you get all your ironing done Mel? It's a nice feeling when it's all done and out of the way.
I done some more shopping today and filled the freezer properly this time, even buying some things for Christmas. I took two of the three drawer out and it gave me so much extra space. At least I know we won't go hungry, I have enough food in there to feed an army lol. All I need to do now is work out how I can create more room in the fridge for when I do my Christmas baking, I only need the extra room for a short time so I'm sure I'll figure something out.
That poor student Ann, the thing is if she reports him, chances are he'll be a lot worse towards her. I hope someone else says something so it's better for her. It's good your OH is having regular checks, better to be safe than sorry. Between OH and my family I have almost 6000 people on our tree now, mind you I have been building it for over 20 years. I do wonder how many I'll end up with in the end. I can't believe we are related to almost every single one of them.
Yes, it was last night we all went to the Christmas event. Sandra had a great time and took her camera, I took lots of photo's for her including one with her and Santa and one with Minnie and Mickey Mouse. They also had tall singing penguin puppets which I videoed for her, when she looked at all the photos and videos she was thrilled with them.
They didn't have the choir this year but had a brass band instead, they were really good, but I think we preferred the choir. A lot of people were saying the same. They started it earlier this year at 4pm instead of 6pm so by the time we got there just before 5pm there weren't many parking spaces left. With it starting earlier it finished around 8pm rather than 10pm.
I was pleased it finished earlier as it was so crowded a woman knocked into me with her basket so hard it knocked me into another woman, she apologised to me as I did to the other woman but I ended up with a sore back as the basket hit me right in my side, it was really painful so I was pleased to come home so I could have a lie down. I didn't let it spoil the evening though.
When we were there, to our surprise, they let dogs in so long as they were in the trollies and we saw 2 tea cup Chihuahua's, I thought they were puppies but they were 4 and 8 years old. You should of seen them they were so cute and very friendly. Then there was another little dog who was 20 weeks old and a little Yorkshire terrier, all of them so adorable. It seemed that every time we turned around there was another person with a dog in a trolley, Sandra was in her element.
They had lots of new Christmas decoration, rather than their usual stuff, so I bought some lovely little butterflies to hang on the Christmas tree, Sandra is going to have some on her tree to. I took lots of photo's of all the lit up ornaments they had which Sandra loves, so all in all we had a great time.
We then went to the farmers market they had in there and there was a woman who had made her own chocolate, decorating it in such a fantastic way with swirls of colour all over. It looked to good to eat and more like a piece of art. Obviously we did eat some of it when we got home but not before Sandra insisted on me taking photo's of them, I must admit they tasted delicious, we had one orange, one mint and a strawberry one for Sandra.
Just before I go I thought you all might like a bit of a laugh. As you know I bought a bird feeder the other week and put some Vaseline all over the pole to stop the squirrel getting to the food, well today there was a tiny little squirrel who took an interest in the bird food, he mulled around for quite some time trying to work out the best way to get to the food, he tip toed through my smaller pots carefully climbing onto the tallest one he could find, jumped to the pole then promptly slid down to the ground, I must admit it was a very graceful slide down the pole lol :-D :-D Needless to say he didn't try again. I couldn't stop laughing for ages. I did feel a bit sorry for him as he seem to take ages to work out how to do it then his little plan didn't quite go the way he wanted it to. He won't go hungry though as I've put some nuts on the bird table further down the garden which I'm sure he'll eventually find. :-)

Gill you should take a video of the squirrel when he tries again as I am sure he will. Keep the pole well greased!!!!
I did'nt do all the ironing but I did do a lot. I then had to go and do the chickens so I unplugged the iron and hav'nt gone back to it yet.
Hav'nt got anything out for dinner so I am hoping it can be toasted cheese sandwiches and I will have scrambled eggs on toast. We have just had tea and scones and dark choc covered ginger biccies so I think I will get away with it.

Evening all,
Little bit windy here ,it's been quite a nice day really with some nice sun shine at times ,i think we should have a bit of wind and rain over night .
I meant to say yesterday that DIL rang to say she had put a nice piece of pork in her oven to roast and when she went to put the roast potatoes in the oven was only warm ,so off went Colin to pick up the pork so we could finish it off in our oven ,they have the oven covered by insurance and when they rang the lady said she could get some one out on Monday but this morning they rang to say they would come out first thing and as DIL was on the school run they rang to say they would be there in five minutes , so one oven fixed in less than twenty four hours .
So you managed to get the flowers sorted yesterday then Mel ,those chicken breasts sound nice i might have a look for them next time i go to Morrisons . Oh bless Sid and Percy :-D they are names you don't hear very much now .
That was good the bank warning you like that Frank ,you do wonder how these people get your card details don't you .
So you had the nice smell of Christmas cake in the house today Jane , i was going to ask if Chris had made the cake yet . Perhaps if Chris keeps reading the wedding speech out loud each week until the wedding it will get a bit easier for him on the day ,he might want to start by saying i'll just pass the tissues round but save one for me :-D BIL is doing very well Jane thanks ,i have to take him to the surgery on Tuesday to have the staples out , how's Janice doing now ?
Sounds as if you enjoyed the evening out Gill but not so good getting knocked into with the basket ,it's easily done when places get so crowded . It must have been nice to see the little dogs but really with it being so crowded you wouldn't think people would take dogs in there with them . I had to smile about the squirrel trying to climb the pole :-D
Did the ladies manage to get the beads you wanted Ann ? What's the latest make you have on the go ? you made the star is there any other christmasy things to make ? I bet the cats have a field day if any beads are dropped ,i can just see them chasing them round the floor :-D

Evening All,
It's quite windy here now, but at least we only had a bit of drizzle around teatime, not much sunshine though.
We went to the friend with the big cats for beading today as the other friend has next door's cat in the conservatory as they have moved out now and weren't taking her with them. We usually bead in her conservatory but there wasn't any room with all the new cat paraphernalia and she can't let her into the rest of the house yet as she has 2 other cats of her own. I suspect she may keep her if the other cats get on ok with her, otherwise she will find her a home.......I keep being asked! lol She says she is a pretty black and white shorthair with a white moustache and quite timid.
I managed to get a photo of Benji on the dining table today......it's the only one where he wasn't on the move!! He's not allowed on there, but there was no-one in the room to tell him off!! He's getting really long in the body now, but can keep growing till they are 4 years old. He was wearing his Poppy bandana and seems to like laying where he can dangle either his front or back legs over an edge. He's still very laid back and had a tummy and chin tickle, then a paw stroke. :-)
OH was at a meeting at a golf course today, so I went out with my camera later............and got a PUNCTURE!!! A warning light came on so I decided I'd better quickly move away from the country lanes to more main roads. I was about 6 miles from home so my heart was in my mouth driving back in case it went completely flat. It was nearer to get home than to a garage that could repair it so luckily I made it. With it being Friday afternoon the traffic would be awful nearer the city where the tyre place is so I didn't attempt to go there. Now it's as flat as a pancake so I'll call the breakdown people in the morning to see if they will come and put me the spare I bought on so I can get it to the tyre place. :-S
Sandra had a great time didn't she and will have the video and pictures to look at as well. It sounds like your freezer will soon be full Gill. :-)
Frank, the bungalow in the close is sold now, but we haven't seen who the new neighbours might be. We don't see much of what happens up the road unless we hear a lot of noise as our lounge is at the back of the bungalow. That was good the bank picked up that payment and contacted you. At least the lowlife won't be able to use your card again. My word that is a long book you are reading!
The girls got me the fishing line thread I wanted Mel and it was £2 cheaper than buying it on line. I buy it in 300yd spools now as the more you buy the cheaper it is. I like the sound of your chicken and might get some to try. :-) You did a good salvage job with the church flowers and the poppies you made. I gave up on the beaded one I was doing as I couldn't get the shape right.
That cyst must be a nuisance Jane. Will it go now it has burst? Oh fancy Chris getting teary about his speech. He's going to need those tissues when he's doing it for real isn't he. A Christmas Cake baking does make it smell Christmassy doesn't it. I used to like decorating it the best! I haven't made one for ages now though as it lasts too long for us nowadays.
I hope your BIL is doing well at home now Mandy.........just noticed your post and that his staples will be out next week. Yes, we have to watch our beads and the needles!! What sort of things do the other grandchildren want for Christmas? Is there a 'must have' toy this Christmas! lol.
Better send you the pics of Benji I took today now.

I'm awake now too...........a blooming cat keeps triggering the security light opposite! Yes I think Thomas's black and white thick fur make him more handsome too. I don't think I would describe Maine Coons as pretty cats. Benji's appeal is in his sweet laid back nature and interest in people. He's still just a baby though at 7 months. Having had one many years ago, I'm a fan of the old type of Siamese with their short coats and blue eyes. I shudder to think what prey these big cats might drag home if they weren't house cats!
Frank you have started me thinking of funeral songs now! Lol. How about 'Time to say Goodbye?' lol.
This puncture is on my mind now...........there's always something needing sorting! :-S

Morning all,
SORRY about earlier. I just couldn't sleep and the brain started to work.
We disconnected the light outside our bedroom, for the same reason ANN.The cats from next door but one kept setting them off.
I intended to have a lie in this morning, but nature called, and I was up, so stayed up.
Seems quite a fair morning. I know we had a lot of rain and wind last night.
Will catch up later

Ros has just gone off to meet Martine with quite a large shopping list. You just don't realise how much food you get through each week, and I am still loosing weight. 12 stone 2 lbs this morning.I feel well for loosing the weight, so I'm not worried.
Carolyn rang this morning. Inviting Ros out on Monday with another friend, to go shopping and lunch out. SO HOME ALONE again.
Not a very interesting match at lunchtime, so I don't think I will bother going out. I will settle down and read my book, after I have showered.
Poor Chris, getting himself all in a tiss over his speech, I am sure by the day he will have it word perfect. I, of course didn't have that pleasure of giving my daughter away. I think it fell to the "LODGER" to do that. In fact, I haven't been to either of my children's weddings.
We haven't made a Christmas Cake for years. Every year we would throw most of it out for the birds.
Pleased to see your BIL is on the mend Mandy. Having the staples out is so comfortable I didn't feel a thing.
My neck, shoulder and right hip are giving me a lot of discomfort.I am doing the exercises the PHYSIO gave me, but doesn't see o be doing much good. I am relying on more pain killers, to keep me out of pain. :-( :-( :-( Which I don't like to do.But needs must. lol lol
That squirrel seems a persistent little blighter, working out how to get up to the food, and not having to tackle the greasy pole. I must admit I did have a little chuckle yo myself.
Still haven't heard from the FAMILY to how my sister is. I suppose it will be down to ring them. I had the same trouble with my brother BILL. If I didn't ring him, I never heard from him. FAMILY EH.
Harvey is having his lounge plastered this morning. He has taken down the old ceiling, and between him, Julia and Lewis have put the plaster boards up, ready for the plasterer to do it today. I expect they will be in a rightly mess.
We asked Lewis what he wants for CHRISTMAS. Money, towards a PRIVATE NUMBER PLATE for his car. Why he would want one of those GAWD only knows.
I trust you got your tyre repaired Ann. They always come when you least expect them. Good job you noticed it, or you could have ruined the tyre completely. It's not cheap to replace tyres these days, is it. ???
No news regarding Val next door. I just don't see Tony to ask. Val did say to Ros that he is out a lot, and leaves her with the TV remote and a glass of water. BIG DEAL.

Morning all you early birds and the other,
Sorry to hear you and Ann had bad nights Frank and I do hope tonight will be better for both of you. Frank I am sure you will have a few zzzz's during the day. I have heard it said you don't need so much sleep when you get older. If its true or not I don't know.
I slept like a log last night. I went to bed earlier than usual and got up once at 6.15am and then slept till 25 past 10 would you beleive!!
Its raining here again today so a miserable day in which I shan't get a lot done. I need to have a good hoover so I expect thats on the cards.
I went into BBC Iplayer the night before last and you now have to sign in. What a performance that was. Had to get oh to do it for me incase I did something wrong. He said its because they want to know more about you same as other sights and it will also tell them who has paid their telly licience etc.

We have a very bright day here. I did see the forecast ,that you were going to get bad weather down your way today.
It won't be long before you can answer the question about not wanting so much sleep. lol lol You certainly had a good night last night.

I've rung the breakdown people and they have just gone. He had to use a mallett and kick with his feet to get the wheel off, but it's done now. He put the spare wheel I got on in it's place. A big screw and washer caused the puncture but the tread is so thin I think it will mean a new tyre anyway. The locking wheel nut broke as well so I need to get another. This car has 6 bolts in each wheel so I must get the tyre place to tighten the last one he couldn't do. Off to the tyre place next for a long wait I expect and MORE EXPENSE Frank!! Hubby nowhere to be seen as he's gone over 80 miles to a match with his pal.
They are holding a 'Walk' near the city football ground this morning to do with the helicopter crash and the breakdown chap had been there moving cars that were in the way before he came to me. I didn't ask, but some folk aren't going to be happy when they find their car isn't where they left it!!
I don't like taking painkillers either Frank but find I am needing them more now. I hope the exercises gradually start to help you. Poor Val must get quite lonely I would think and just being left with a glass of water isn't good. Not the caring type is he.
Better get going now as I think lunchtime might mean less people at the tyre place.

Traffic was all snarled up around the motorway junction and the way I needed to go so I think some must have been going to join the walk at the Stadium.. The tyre place wasn't busy though. :-) I got them to replace the punctured tyre, but they couldn't put it on the front to go with the other new one without the locking wheel nut that broke! Now I can't get any wheels off!! As the nuts are expensive and prone to breaking on my make of car (it happened on my last car too!) I shall replace the locking bolts with ordinary non-locking ones like I did then. The wheels could get pinched, but it's a risk I'll take as I don't want this hassle again. :-S :-S I called at the Co-op in the next village on the way home and had to drive into the car park as there was no room at the roadside. I ended up driving out again as they must have had a real downpour as there was a flooded area completely cutting off the car park from the path to the store.
I got a phone call from old friends of MIL this morning. I think the chap taught OH as a little boy. They wanted to know what room we had at Ullesthorpe Court for OH's parent's funerals as they liked it so much there and were wanting to book the room for a Christmas Lunch and invite their friends. Hopefully the black tablecloths will gt swapped for something more festive! :-)
Gill that little Squirrel must have been like a fireman sliding down the pole. I hope you can get a video. :-D Time to look at some beading now but my eyelids feel very heavy.
