Frank they have been delivered and I have put them somewhere and just can't remember where. I usually put all my making stuff in boxes which I have stacked up in the corner of the kitchen but I have been through those many times and they are just not there!!!! I have ordered more of them but they won't arrive until into December. Not being a Christmas thing I thought they would arrive sooner. They are butterflies that you stick on a mirror or the walls but I was going to use them for Angel wings.

Afternoon All
I bet those wings will turn up where you least expect to find them Mel :-DOr maybe they have got sandwiched in between something?
Oh Frank, after you thinking you had escaped the Hastings trip !!!!!. Maybe the sea air will do you good and make you sleep well. When is it you go?
Ann Chris has loads and loads of books all stacked up in the study as there is no more room left on the bookcases. Books arrive every week here. I will look up the Secret Barrister ( I havent heard of it) .It might be something Chris would like. I have told him to STOP getting books now before Xmas. He does this every year and also buys things that would be good presents for one of us to give him. I have got him 2 lovely Merino Wool jumpers.1 purple and 1 really nice blue, and a pair of Moccasin Slippers as his indoor ones have holes in .The jumpers were quite expensive so he wont be getting much more from me :-D.. I am going to be having a new Kindle as my big pressie as the one I have now doesnt always seem to charge up properly and the side of it has a split. I would be so lost without a Kindle now.
No Gill or Mandy today. I hope Gill hasnt had to see the Dr about her poorly Tum,and that Mandys foot is no worse.
David what is Dr G ? I used to love dear old Quincy :-D even the reruns they used to do in the afternoons some years ago.
I went ot TKMax today to get a smaller handbag for the Hen day. Oh my goodness there were hundreds of black bags!!!!. From about £15 right up to about £200. The trouble with there being so many hanging on these silly rails all the straps were getting tangled up and to try and get one out from the back was a nightmare.I ended up at one point with a whole load of bags on the floor so I could untangle them. I did eventually find one I liked just for £20 It is big enough just to have my 2 small purses, phone, perfume, lippy and tissues. I am not taking my big purse as it is too bulky so have 2 small zip purses. One I will put my bank card and train tickets in and the other will be for cash.
Frank you put the wind up me by saying it is exactly 1 month away to the Wedding . Then Hen do is the weekend after this. I am beginning ot get funny feelings in my tummy now :-S
Bubble and Sqeak ,Lemon and Pepper Chicken Breasts and mixed veg tonight.

Evening all,
I'm ok ,i never had a chance to do a post yesterday we went to see Colin's sister and by the time we got home and i sorted out some thing to eat it was getting late . I didn't have a very good nights sleep the night before as we were late because we watched the open heart op then last night it was the knee op so another late night ,we have decided to record tonights op or it would be another late one ,we have enjoyed watching the op's if you can enjoy an op but you know what i mean ,it's been very interesting seeing how they are done .
Getting back to Colin's sister she is doing so well ,now down to one carer coming in in the morning and next week i think she said they will finish altogether as she thinks she can manage now .
Mel that seems a long time to have to wait for the butterfly wings :-0 lets hope the others will turn up ,perhaps when your looking for some thing else :-D
So Hastings is on again Frank :-D you'll just have to bite your tongue and hope he doesn't try to get you all organised like last time . Ros driving to Devon and back over Christmas might be a bit to much for her if she's still not 100 % ,could you not talk nicely to Lewis to see if he could take you ?
So Jackets all done then Jane just the Titfer to get sorted now :-D i carn't believe it's only a month away that time will go so fast .
That's a lot of books for OH Ann ,they will keep him quiet for a while reading that lot :-D
We need to get Max into the vets tomorrow i noticed he has a tiny little pink swelling like a little cyst in the bottom corner of his eye ,hopefully it isn't much and a little cream or some drops will do the trick .
Hope the tummy is better Gill and you didn't need the trip to the doctors <3
Hello David :-D i use to like watching Quincy don't know who DR G is ?

Hi all
Feeling a bit better today, I didn't get to sleep until gone 4am in the morning last night and was awake again by 8am. I've been asleep most of today and not long woken up. Sandra and OH put everything back into Sandra's bedroom while I was asleep and I didn't hear a thing.
I used some bathroom sealant to stick the insulation down that had come away in Sandra's room and it worked a treat, OH painted the room and now Sandra can sleep in there tonight. The front bedroom is back to normal so just the dining room to sort out now then everywhere is sorted then.
The new neighbours move in tomorrow, we still don't know who they are so it'll be nice to see them. The place still has a few bits and bobs in it so the neighbours daughter and grandson have been busy getting rid of everything. I assume they'll be back tonight to finish it all off.
I've not read any posts, so will catch up tomorrow.

Evening All,
It's been quite warm here and sunny some of the day. I was awake till 3.00am and then could have slept in when I had to get up to go out. It's always the same. We sat up and watched the second operation which was the knee one and found it very interesting too Mandy. Even OH, who is a bit squeamish, thought it was good. We may record tonight's as well, as we have an early start tomorrow. We fetched OH's train tickets for tomorrow and I collected the bedding I ordered so that was good. Now I can get rid of some of the old stuff.
Jane Chris sounds just like OH with his books!! lol. His bookcases mostly have 2 rows of books on each shelf and he has to take books out to see the ones behind. lol He also has a book mountain on the bedside table and two bookcases in the other bedroom! I can see The Night Manager from where I am sitting so I might have a read of that! :-) I see his new pile has Peter Ackroyd's Chaucer and Civil War, Alison Weir's Queens of the Conquest, Simon Schama's Face of Britain, Dan Jones Realm Divided and a couple by Mary Beard. lol. He spends most of Christmas dipping into his new books and they do take him a while to get through Mandy. :-) Frank I suggested a Kindle to him but he hates the idea. He likes the feel of a book and some of the reference type books he has, he likes to dip in and out of here and there and he says you can't do that so easily with a Kindle. He says a book can't go wrong as well!! I couldn't argue with that! When we did a few car boot sales after we moved here years ago he did a roaring trade selling his books there, much to his surprise. Now he takes some to the Charity shops every so often ie when he's run out of space! He never pays full price for any. He either uses vouchers or offers or waits till they have them at knock down prices in places like the Works or finds some in Charity shops. Just after Christmas, when people get rid of their old books or the new ones they didn't want is a good time to look in Charity shops.
It's a good idea to have a new Kindle Jane if your present one isn't 100%. I'm in a similar position with my camera, as it doesn't always seem to respond as quickly as it should, so that's what my present will be..........once I decide which one to get.
Oh Frank and you thought you'd got out of the Hastings trip as well! You will just have to grin and bear it for Ros's sake, but maybe he will be on his best behaviour this time. :-)
Mel what a shame you can't find those wings. It's so frustrating and time wasting all the searching too. They must be with my 'stick' as you say as I have still not found it. Maybe if I do a 'turn out' like Mandy I might find it somewhere like under the bed. It's one of the few places I haven't looked. It's nice you are still getting 'Hog' visits. :-) It would be lovely to see some pics of your garden years ago! You forget how things change don't you.
It's good you are feeling a bit better Gill and that you are almost straight again and managed to get everything stuck down! Sandra will be glad to be back in her room again. We think whoever bought Jean's bungalow up the close must be moving in soon as there was a small furniture storage van parked there this morning.
I hope Max just needs some cream for his eye Mandy. Did you say he likes the vet?
:-D

One day during the war my granny was in the kitchen in Premier Drive cooking up bacon and sausages for my granda and her 6 sons. Lord Haw Haw was on the wireless saying how the people of Belfast were starving. She rushed out with the pan full of food and stuck it up to the wireless "Starvin' are we? Smell that ye ba***ard!"

Morning Mel and Frank, morning all
Dull and damp here today, so staying in and catching up with all the recorded programmes with Sandra. We have lots of Christmas films which Sandra is looking forward to watching.
Have a safe trip Frank, hope the weather isn't to cold for you both.
Have you had your fascinator done yet Jane, I see you have had your jacket done, I'd love to see a pic if you have one
Pleased to hear Max wasn't upset by the dog, hope all goes well for him at the vet. I see you're foot isn't to bad and that you managed to carry on with your sorting Mandy.
It sounds like you're getting there with your tyre and bolts Ann and not a bad price by the looks of it. That's a lot of books you've bought for your OH, that'll keep him busy for a while. Sandra likes book and I've bought her some for Christmas but no where near as many as you've bought. I found the secret seven and thought she might like them.
So you've seen a hog with a white bottom Mel, I've never seen one of those. Glad you have seen some now as I know you were a bit concerned.
Nice to see you posting on here again David.
I might have another go at my family tree today, I'm still plodding through all the Australian ones, not easy to find anything from England, but I'll have a go anyway, I might have a breakthrough today if I'm lucky.

Afternoon All,
It was a bit foggy here this morning when I took OH to the station, then there was a bit of sun, now it's back to dreary. :-S My front tyre that was the spare looked a bit flat when I got home so I took OH's car to beading. I expect it just needs blowing up a bit after standing in the garage a couple of years, but I can't use my foot pump.....#### knees!! It threw my beading buddies as they look out for my white car and one said she sailed straight past this morning. We were where the cats are again this week as the usual lady's hubby had tripped and fallen on their huge screened TV and smashed it, so another was being delivered today.Three of us were making those little stars today and the cats were too busy racing around at top speed and thundering up and down the stairs to bother with us much. They then crashed out on top of their crate next to the window looking over the birdfeeder and watched the squirrel eating the fat balls! The window really is like a large 'cat TV' as the feeder is only a couple of feet away. :-D One lady showed us a fob chain she'd got at a charity shop. It looked like a broken bracelet with a tarnished chain and beads, but when she looked at it closely it had a silver hallmark! People don't realise what they are chucking out do they.
The wedding venue does look a grand old place Jane. Whereabouts is it? Is James all kitted out for the wedding now as well?
I'd better get the washer going now and sort a few things out...............it's easier with OH not here so I have a couple of hubby free hours! :-)

I love the way you said it was like a big cat TV Ann, I bet they love laying there, at least the wildlife are safe with the cats behind the window. I'd love to see a pic of your latest beading when it's finished. I agree with you, you get lots more done when you're on your own. Sandra's been watching the birds on the feeder again today, the position of the feeder is great for her as she can see it from the sofa without having to get up to the window.......It's like a big TV for her to.
What a lovely place for Hannah and Gareth to marry Jane, love the green line lol who put it on the pic? Not long now to the big day, is everyone ready with their outfits now?
Mel is kindly helping me with my family tree again, she is so kind, I don't know where I'd be without her......thanks Mel <3 I've answered your PM.

Afternoon Everyone Foggy day here and that horrible light drizzly stuff. It hasnt cleared all day. There have been JCBs and all sorts digging trenches in the bottoms of the gardens of neighbours and all houses that are selling their land for the new develpoment at the back. We couldnt see what was going on from our place so I rang my friend 2 doors down. She said the trench in her garden was about 9 ft long and 6ft deep. They are checking the soil to do with drainage.
Those cats sounded like they were having great fun tearing up and down the stairs Ann.It must hve sounded like a herd of Elephants :-D Their cages are in just the right place or them to watch all the birds :-D. It is amzing sometimes the things found in Charity shops.I love to see the Antiques road show when someone has spent 50pence on something and it is found to be worth a bomb.
I hope that Max has been a good boy at the Vets and that the trouble with his eye is nothing to worry about.
So our Frank will be in Hastings now.I do hope that John doesn't annoy Frank too much this time and spoil the couple of days. Both Ros and him could do with a nice couple of stress free days.
Ann the Wedding Venue is Stoke Newington Town Hall. It is quite a building isn't it. I hope they have some decent heating :-D Hannah did the green lines Mel with an App on her phone. All clever stuff. Gill I will send a pic when I have all my outfit on. I have noticed that some of the lining on the jacket is pulling a bit on the sleeves and so I shall have to take it back on Tuesday when I go for the fascinator . She will have to unpick something to make it right. It was all going well too :-S James has to take his suit and waistcoat in to the cleaners .He better do it soon.I am quite happy to take it for him (just to make sure its done LOL ) . The ties Gareth has chosen for him ,best man ,ushers and Chris and Gareths Dad is a colour that neither James or Chris like. Its a Yellow /Gold .But I am sure it will be fine.
When I was in Tesco this morning there were people at the ends of the tills with collecting buckets. I thought at first it must be for Children in Need ,but it was in fact for Johnnys Happy Place :-D :-D. I actually felt a bit emotional seeing that.I put a fiver in and said to the lady that Johnny had been James's friend, and that I hoped the buckets would have plenty of money in them at the end of the day.
Thomas has been in for ages.I think he must have not gone far today with all the big machinery on his stomping grounds. He has probably got the huff :-S. I am wondering though now if this him in for the night!!!.
James is off for the weekend later tonight. I hope it isnt going ot be too foggy for driving. I think fog is just the worst conditions to drive in and it always scares the pants off me.
Why is it all the adverts in the afternoons are to do with either taking out funeral plans or writing a will !!!!!. That plus all the Animal Charities showing poor creatures that have been treated in the most dreadful ways. The Donkey with open sores on its back and hooves so over grown it cant walk, Poached Elephants .Rhinos with their tusks hacked off and more. I spend half the time having to leave the room or turning the sound off and not looking at the screen :-S
Children in Need tonight so it will be tissues at the ready :-)
Good job you didnt try and use the foot pump on your tyre Ann,mind you from what you say it would have been impossible .Fingers crossed when you get it pumped up it will be fine .
You were lucky to get washing out today Mel. No chance here.I have a laundry free day for a change :-D

Why did I think you had washing out??? Maybe because you said you had sunshine :-D I will have a load tomorrow,I think we are supposed to have a fair day. Chris is hoping to get out in the garden.I must go and pick up my prescription before 12 as that is when the Chemist shuts at the Surgery. Then I will just pop in to Asda which is nearby for a couple of bits.Salad Cream is top of my list. I forgot to get it today and I like that with lots of things. Mayonnaise is just not the same and i always think it smells eggy.
Gill you have a good one there with Mel to help you with all your queeries for your tree :-D I would be totally useless help :-S. I have had to rely on Mel ,Ann and Mandy in the past to help me out .
Janice had a go at driving to her local Sainsbury the day before yesterday. It is only a few minutes away and her car is Automatic . Larry was with her . She managed it but she said she paid for it afterwards and had to go and lie on the bed to ease her leg. But as I said to her she did it :-D and that is one massive step forward. She is still having so much pain and difficulty with her mobility :-(
