Evening All,

<3HAPPY BIRTHDAY GILL <3 That was good that your mum turned up and must have been a bit of a surprise. Shame about the zoo though. I'm like you and want to know what the weather will be like before I book things. It's usually the theatre and if I will be too hot! That's quite an extension they are doing next door to you. I'd forgotten about the permitted development allowed now, since this spurt on building lots of houses.

I noticed the 'hoarder's' house in the village that the council cleared several years ago has been sold now. It seems to have been empty since the council cleared it and the windows were boarded up. I bet the inside is in a state, but that won't matter if they gut it. It is a large semi and I always felt sorry for the neighbour. They must be chuffed now!

I slept much better last night but had to be up early for beading. We had some great entertainment there with the Squirrels, 3 of them today and which are so well fed from the bird feeders they are quite fat! lol. They are also very tame and didn't move when my friend's hubby went in the garden. Some apples from their trees had been left in a bowl under a chair with a dustbin lid on to keep them out, but as happens with Squirrels they had managed to push it off. One was grabbing an apple from the bowl and carrying it high up one of the trees and leaving it there, then coming back down to do the same again. It was just like he was putting the apples back on the tree! The birds don't bother about the Squirrels at all and they are side by side on the feeders. I was thinking of Frank's video he sent as I was watching them. It should be a nice get together for you on Sunday. We looked at the transfer of married women's allowance when it came out but it's no good to us as I already pay tax myself!

I think you did better than me with your moon pictures Mel. I love the one with the twigs in front of it. Are the angels finished now? Thanks for mentioning the rechargeable batteries...........it sounds a good idea!

Frank I think you are right about Carolyn struggling. John is going to have to do more if she can't drive. He doesn't seem to think of anyone else. That's a good tax saving for you and better in your pocket! Sadly I already pay tax so it wouldn't help us.

That was a pity with your new washer Mandy. You wouldn't see it till it was all in place either. Hopefully the replacement will be with you quickly and be ok. :-)

Jane Report 23 Nov 2018 19:26

This will be my last post now until later on Sunday.
How disappointing Mandy to find the drawer broken on your new washing machine
:-S. At least they are on the ball and you will get your new one tomorrow :-D Fingers crossed no defects with this one :-)

Ann Squirrels are so funny to watch.Apples are quite big arent they for them to carry and then get them up in the tree . I just loved that video clip Frank sent.It is one email I will keep so I can watch it again and again :-D

So Mum turned up Gill :-D.That must have been really nice and so good for Sandra too.. I bet the lights are on the tree now twinkling away :-D. Happy birthday again.
Glad you liked the card . I just spotted it and thought it was so funny :-D

I must go now as dinner is on the go and I need to sort that out .I have said to Chris I am not putting my hands in any washing up as I have just done my nails :-D

Wish me luck for tomorrow :-D :-D.Its going to be quite a day.!!!!!!

Good Luck for tomorrow Jane! :-D It should be a good laugh. Not too much jigging with that hip of yours though.......remember it has to get you home on Sunday. :-D Look forward to hearing about it when you get back!

Have fun Jane ,looking forward to hearing all about it and may be seeing a few photo's too .

Did you get any beading done Ann ? i think i would have spent the while morning just watching the Squirrels , they dart about so quickly they are fun to watch ,we haven't seen our Squirrel in the tree at all this year ,but then i said that last year and he suddenly turned up .

It was a shame about the washer but it wasn't until i pulled the draw out that you could see it wasn't right ,the whole front of the draw just wasn't attached at the bottom and just flapped about ,i must admit my heart sank a bit as i hate having to sort things out ,son had ordered it for us so he came and sorted it out sending photo's and an e mail ,we don't know what we'd do with out him at times he's so good to us ,mind you we do make it right with him .

For those that like Kirstie Allsopp her Christmas Craft programme starts on Thursday channel 4 about eight o'clock .

Annx Report 23 Nov 2018 21:36

Thanks for the Kirstie tip off Mandy, I hadn't noticed it starting again. This week we have been watching some of the old ones.......yes WE. He's been watching them with me as he likes how upbeat the programme is! lol.

It was probably best your son sorted the washer out as he ordered it, so he could answer any questions. I think my heart would have sunk as well and I would have imagined the washing pile growing till it was sorted. It works well both ways how you do things to help each other. I meant to ask did Lewis's beanie turn out well?

No I didn't get much beading done today. We were in a silly mood and the girls were talking about some of their dating agency experiences years ago. I happened to say I thought it was quite difficult finding someone, as I fancied very few men 'in that way'. I then said that 'things could grow between you though' and that set them off in raucous laughter where they couldn't speak so they didn't get a lot done either. :-D

Good luck tomorrow Jane and I hope you have a great fun time.

Laughed at your comments Ann.

I have finished the four Angels. Not sure whether to put them on a string or not.

I have been thinking that Kirstie may do her show again this year. I have enjoyed some of the things she does on there.

Morning all

Dull and damp here today, the foundations are in for the footings and the bricks and blocks were delivered today for next doors extension, they took all the mud away that was on the front garden last night so that has made room for the new materials. OH put the rotten fence they had put up against our new fence in the skip, although he's going to brake it in half tonight so it sits flat or they might take it back out again.

I got as far as putting the lights on the Christmas tree last night but need to make sure none of them are touching the branches as I noticed with them being so hot one had started sticking to one of the branches and I don't want anything catching fire. I'm still doing my family tree as I've been sent all the information so I'll do it a bit at a time around that as there are almost 400 lights to check and it's very awkward to get to.

I didn't get any moon pics Mel, could you send them to me please, I'd love to see them.

Loved the squirrel video Frank, it was really funny.

Going to get a painkiller I've woken up with a banging headache.

Just have to do the shop today and the egg delivery and then I must do up some more presents as I hav'nt done George's stocking yet. I did Sam's and their parents prests up and I have some crackers to make for them all with their names on. I did order some things for the crackers but they arn't arriving till the begining of December which is a nuisance.

Thanks Mel, the pictures are lovely.

So it's donkey day again, it comes around very quickly doesn't it? I think this year has gone by really fast, I can't believe it's almost Christmas again.

Hope Jane has a great day, can't wait to hear all about it.

Morning Ladies, xxx

Same miserable weather here to, it was raining when we got up. Still damping now, so I don't expect it to improve.

Ros has gone off to meet Martine, I hope she remembered the list.

Carolyn sent JOHN to the Post office this morning for a few 2nd class stamp, He came back with a FULL SHEET. So Ros is going to buy some from her, for all the cards we send out.

Just a chance in a MILLION. When I sent you all my "LIFE STORY" way back. Have anyone still got it on your computers, in the trash or where ever ?? When Conrad transferred all my stuff from my laptop o the E book, he must have lost it. I was looking for it the other day and can't find part one.

The neighbour at the bottom of the garden called round yesterday SAYING the tree the Harvey bought me for a Father's Day present a few years ago. Has poisoning leaves and they have killed all the plants in his flower bed. WHAT A LOAD OF TRASH. Does anyone know of an ornamental tree having poisonous leaves ?? I certainly haven't. I will ask Harvey the name of the tree and look it up. This is the bloke that complains about everything. He would love for me to take the tree down, so thy can nose into our garden.

Simon rang this morning asking what Ros drinks, as she is TEA TOTAL (just like me.) lol lol.She drinks most grape juice's so that's what he will get, When I asked what wine he wanted me to bring, he said NOTHING. It's all sorted. !!! ;-) ;-) ;-) I will take a bottle of RED ANYWAY.

I hoovered all through, and now going to sit and have a read. See you later.

In answer to your kind inquiry Frank, we're doing pretty well! Just a few minor problems post radiotherapy, but nothing we didn't expect, and that will hopefully disappear over time! Our elder granddaughter has been offered an unconditional place at four different universities for next autumn! So we are very pleased and proud of her. She wants to go into the Police Force!! So hopefully all will go well for her. I hope Lewis is doing well at his university too. With all the advantages they have these days , they are lucky young people!! I can see that you and Ros are staying well and warm which is excellent! Enjoy the book!!!!

Meant to say Frank that I may well have your missing episode. I tend to keep that sort of thing as I find/found it very interesting. I will have a good scroll back in my saved e-mails and contact you if I'm successful!

Once again thanks to Mandy I have got my 1st book of my memories back. I have saved it now. I have printed it also, with one hic-cup. It printed from the last page towards the first page. With about 4 pages left to print, the paper jammed, When I try to print those pages it goes and prints from the last page again. HOW DO I PRINT JUST THE PAGES I NEED ?? Also I have lost an icon that said "DADS OLD PC" So can't find my part TWO. Have you got that Mandy ?? or anyone else please.

I have been on here trying to do things for over TWO HOURS. and now getting myself in a right old tizzy, so I am getting off here for a while.

I see West Ham got "HAMMERED" FOUR NIL TO MAN. City.

When I went to Em's today with the eggs she told me the Christmas fayre at the village is on the 6th Dec. I had a look at my stuff and I really don't think I have enough to cover a stall. Its all in a shoe box. I wonder if Ann at the shop is having a stall this year and she will take some stuff for me?

I think I may have lost the confidence to stand behind a stall now after all these years, 21 to be precise.

Bunnyboo

Bunnyboo Report 24 Nov 2018 17:42

Oh that's wonderful Frank! I'm afraid I couldn't locate them and I have a feeling they were on my old laptop which has been binned!! OH did remove the hard drive which we must examine at some stage as there's information on there about my stepfathers time as a POW in the Far East, which I must recover. Very lucky that they've been retrieved for you. Hope you manage to sort it all out!! Have you been watching Gold Rush on channel 5? It's a brilliant programme, a reconstruction about the gold rush in the Klondike 120 years ago. You'd get it on catchup and it's well worth watching for the scenery and old photographs as much as anything else!!!

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 24 Nov 2018 18:21

Found part two Frank !! :-D have emailed it to you , hope you can get the printer sorted .

It's been a dreary old day here ,the washer arrived this morning and i went round it to make sure it was all ok and it was .

What a shame you carn't do the stall Mel , it might be a good idea though to share a stall ,it would give you the confidence being with some one else doing it .

I keep wondering how the hen do is going :-D

Steak was delish tonight.

I shall have to see with Ann at the shop as she sometimes has another girl with her from the village. If not I will ask her if she will take my stuff if not I shall take it to Torrington to the shop there.
