Morning all
Another cold day, I don't need to go out so that's good as all the paths are slippy.
Did anyone have problems with their Genes tree loading last night, I was on a roll then all of a sudden the tree stopped working. Luckily it seems back to normal this morning. I hope it stays that way as I'd like to take another look at it today.
Hope everyone had a good nights sleep. What are you all up to today?
I'm looking forward to hearing all about Jane's time with her brother.

Spoke to soon, my tree is playing up again, so that's put paid to me carrying on with it today. I'll have to make a note of what I find now, then add it to my tree when it's working again. Hope Genes can sort it out tomorrow, I doubt it'll be sorted today with it being Sunday.

Morning Gill and all,
Glad you liked Ziggy Wiggy. The minuet I saw the pink wig I asked Em to email me a picture because I knew andra would love it.
We have frost here again this morning but the suns out so it should soon melt away. Sky is bklue with streaks of light grey cloud out the front to the north but I can't see to the south as I am in the kitchen.

Yes, Mel, Sandra thought it was great seeing a snow woman with pink hair. She couldn't make any snowmen here as it was more ice than fluffy snow. When you walk on it, it crunches under your feet, so it wasn't suitable for building snowmen.
Just been in the garden feeding the birds and boy is it cold, the sun is out but I doubt it'll melt much of the frozen snow away, it's still white in our garden, apart from right down the bottom, where the sun has been on it for a few days, but even that still has patches of icy snow on it.
No workmen again today, so more peace and quiet. I could get used to this lol :-D :-D
Going to watch 60 minute makeover with Sandra and OH now, we record a few of them on a Sunday morning, along with "The Gladiators". Does anyone remember the Gladiators, from way back?

My eldest brother disliked eggs - boiled, scrambled or fried.
In his youth, he wouldn't even sit at the same table if any of the rest in the family were eating eggs.
And no - he never grew out of this odd behaviour. :-|

Morning all, Hi, to Dermot,
Very cold frosty morning here, I am just out of the shower, Ros CLING FILMS my dressings, so It doesn't get wet. It'd marvellous how nice it makes you feel afterwards. All shaved as well.
Yes Mel, Ros thought the film was very good, but didn't seen to be on very long, just a couple of hours. These old Royalty epics seem to go on for ever.
Had a fall out with a Delivery Chinese last night. They advertise HOME DELIVERY with and EXTRS £1.00 for delivery over 3 miles. we are just over 4 so expected to pay the extra. When I phoned in the order they said they didn't deliver outside a FOUR MILE RADIUS, as we are 4.6 miles they won't deliver. Carolyn and John were also going to place a order, so they missed out on orders over £40.00. Never mind, we ordered from another with no delivery charge.
Roast Pork for tonight. I have done all the veg, and got the apple sauce from the freezer. Just the Yorkshire and CHEESE sauce to make.
Well I had better get dressed, then I will have a read. GREAT LIFE,
;-) ;-) ;-)

Afternoon All
What a lovely sunny day it is. Chilly out of the sun but I sat on the bench on the patio just now for a bit and I felt really quite warm. We still have some frozen snow on the back lawn. Its all in the middle.
Frank you sound chipper today :-D. All tickety boo as they say. Shame about the Chinese last night but at least you managed to get one from another place and with no delivery charge either.
Hi Dermot. My Son is just the same with eggs. He has never eaten them since I gave him a boiled egg and soldiers when he was a baby. He is fine with eggs in things like cakes but he will not touch any kind of cooked eggs at all . He is 33 now so will never change. My daughter on the other hand eats so many eggs. She is the Omelette Queen and makes some cracking ones for us when she comes ot stay.
I loved Ziggy Wiggy Mel :-D.. What a lovely pic of Em and the Boys .
I remember the Gladiators well Gill. James and I would watch it together at the weekends. Am I right in thinking it is coming back ? Is this a new series you are watching?
Well yesterday was a really good day.I got to St Pancras about 20 minutes before Peter and Paula, and as it was really chilly just standing about waiting I went into the Booking Office Bar(Its part of the Renaissance Hotel) and it is just the most beautiful place. Difficult to describe but well worth googling it just to see the amazing architecture .I mananged to get seats which was lucky as it gets very busy. It was great to see them both again. There were huge hugs from Peter.I thought I was going to be crushed ! We stayed in there for a good couple of hours and then we were all starving so it was time to find somehwere to eat. I had booked a restaurant but cancelled it early yesterday morning as Peter had seen the menu and I knew he wasn't struck with the menu.He was right as I had another look and realised there was a lot of things with many SPICES in. So we were going to go to Carluccios the Italian but it was so busy.Instead Paula suggested we went to the Brasserie which was a great choice. We stayed there and enjoyed our meal and wines until it was time for my train at 5.45. So basically all we did was sit eat and drink and talk :-D :-D. Perfect. They have both piled on the weight (as I must have since we last saw each other) . I think the reason Peter has got heavier is because he is not working out on the Oil Rigs as a scaffolder any more and is more office based. He is quite a loud person and can swear like a trooper which I have to say I do find a bit embarrasing at times. But as he says he is who he is. His sense of humour is such that some people think he is being rude but he really isnt. Anyway we had a great time and have said we really mustn't leave it another 5 years or more to meet up again. I will sens a couple of pics from yesterday :-D
I had to go and get a new deeper litter tray this morning as I am getting fed up with Thomas over missing the mark when he wees in the tray he has now. :-S :-S
I must tell you that when the train came in to Kettering yesterday I was to platform 1 and there is a very large gap!!!. There was no way I could have got on without the help of a very good looking man :-D. It was quite a high step to do too without the blooming gap adding problems. Did I feel a twerp :-S. Having short legs don't help in these situations I can tell you !!!!!. Ann you would have been the same as me LOL .I managed to throw my self forward and grab the rail just inside the door and the man gave me a bit of a heave. It was all so unladylike like :-| :-| And I am a lady :-D :-D ;-)

Love the word Twonk :-D :-D. I have used that many times :-D Another one I say is Buggerlugs :-D. Peter's wife said it yesterday and she is the first person other than me that I have heard use that expression for years :-D Dirty OH making a mess with the Ketchup :-S I hope he cleared it up himself :-D I had a look down the garden just now to see how far the Daffs have grown . They still look off a fair way before flowering ,just a few inches of shoots so far. I think the Snowdrops have had it now .
Anne did you find out what the road closure was all about? I hope it wasn't anything too serious .

I didn't know the Gladiators were making a come back, I've just Googled it and it looks like it's the American one. I couldn't find out when it's starting again, but will keep an eye out. Not sure if it'll be as good as the British one though, as I find the Americans a bit over the top in things they do and they are very loud, but will watch it if and when it comes on to see if it's any good. The one's we're watching are repeats on, I think, Challenge on Sky. It's only on, on a Sunday morning at I think 9am. I have a film on pause so I'll check it later for you Jane. It sounds like you've had a great time with your brother, love the pictures, you do look alike don't you?
Pleased to see you are feeling a bit better now Frank, a nice shower does make you feel like that. Fancy the takeaway not delivering to you, what silly people as it was't that much more distance to your place than the cut off distance, never mind their loss and at least you found somewhere else with no delivery charge.....bonus.
I smiled when I heard you'd called your OH a Twonk Mel, I've never heard that saying before, but it does sound funny. :-D

Meant to say the "Great British Sewing Bee" is back on Tuesday 12th February 9pm BBC. 2 and if anyone is interested "Masterchef" is back on the day before 11th February BBC.1 at 9pm. I've only Googled it, not actually seen the start dates advertised on TV, so will still keep an eye out for them incase they're different, but I should imagine they're right or very close to the start dates. Sandra and I are looking forward to them.

It must be from the Mothers side as we had different Fathers. We do have exactly the same coloured eyes. I was trying to get him to tell me a bit about his childhood . Something he doesn't like to go into much. But he did say when he was about 5 or 6 he was sleeping on a ZBed in the kitchen of the flat and his Dad (I think Dad) was having a bit of a party and he came to the kitchen for more drinks with a chap and it was Ronnie Kray !!!!!. How I would loved to be fly on the wall in Peters life. It was a tough one :-(
So it is an American Gladiators prog not a British one coming back. I keep trying to think of the names of our old Gladiators but they escape me. Was one Zodiac? Thomas has christened the new litter tray. He sat beside it and looked for a while then did a wee. No wee over the side :-D So a good buy today :-D
We have Alexa playing Smooth Jazz and I really like it. Chris put it on .Its quite soothing .

Evening All,
A sharp frost this morning but OH's car screen was clear by the time we went out.
We were told Zen would be appearing at 12.00pm at the carvery and didn't realise who they meant till an older chap who used to be a chef there appeared, but he arrived after we had been served. He is a lovely person, always cheerful asking how you are each week and cutting all the fat off my meat for me. They said he would be there again, so, as the lady who is usually in charge of the kitchen hasn't been there for a couple of weeks we wonder if she isn't well or something has happened and he has been asked to stand in. I imagine he had retired but he is the sort of person who would have been glad to help them out. I will ask next week! It sounds like you had a nice time Jane and I agree with Mel about you and your brother being alike. I had a chuckle and could just picture your performance getting on the train! I would be the same as you say, maybe even worse with my left knee now, but trust you to find a good looking man to help!!! lol. :-)
Wasn't it Frank who used to call Shirl 'buggerlugs' or maybe it was the other way round??
Thanks for the reminder about the Great Sewing Bee Gill, I must make sure I record it as I really enjoy it. I remember the Gladiators and wishing I had a figure like theirs. I've had trouble trying to load my tree lately so I wonder why? Also the dreaded 'error' message a few times.
I managed to sort through half a wardrobe this afternoon and actually found some things I'd packed away I'd forgotten that I can wear so that was good.
Last episode of Les Mis tonight.

Yes last one tonight and I have been enjoying it as I have never seen it before on anything so it was all new to me.
When I fed the big girls this morning they still had all the snow in their run. They eat it!!!
Tonight when I shut them in it was all gone, not a scrap of snow anywhere in the run. I had to defrost the bird bath today and cleaned that out. Then I had 9 female pheasents down here asking for grub, which they got but oh told me not to feed them. They keep coming up on the patio if we leave the gate open and mess and then we tread in it and bring it in!!!!! Not nice and it stinks.
Arn't the night drawing out now? I keep thinking it quite early when in actual fact its later than I thought. Now its 7.17 and time to get tea.

Morning Ann, morning all
Same here weather wise Ann and we can finally see the grass now all the snow and ice has melted away. The roofers are back, but they said they have other jobs so they're only coming here every now and then when they can fit in next doors roof, so how long it'll take to finish is anyone's guess. The plasterers were going to make a start on the rendering but they're not there now, so I guess the boss has put them on another job. At this rate the poor neighbours won't be moving in until the summer. So much for them moving in, in 10 days. I knew they wouldn't be in this month.
Going to have a bath now. I'll catch up with the posts later. Hope everyone has a good day. It looks like Genes have sorted the tree loading problem out, so I might take a look at my tree when I've done all the washing.
