Still having problems Mel? Or have you locked yourself in the girls' new shed? :-D

Althought the error message is a pain I find I get back on very quickly if I click on the Genes Reunited writing at the top of the error message. This takes me back to the homepage and clicking on communities takes me back to the chat board.

Its got really dark and dreary here.

I do that AnninG but Istill get the bl**dy Error Page or it takes me to the first page of the thread and won't take me any further. This time I got in ok by that method but I darenot go back a page to see if anyone else posted before Frank.

What makes me cross is I can go into to other peoples threads ok just not MINE.

Mel, I know it's a pain in the backside, but all we can do is complain. I don't understand why it's only looks like ours is affected. Do you think that over 3,100 pages is the trouble. ??

Ros had four dozen plug plants turn up this morning from QVC. I have been down the greenhouse and filled four dozen small pots with potting compost, and she has planted the lot. I just called her to come inand she is filling her pots ready for her tomato plants when the seeds come through, talk about getting ahead of yourself.

Tonight's dinner will be Pork Chops, Jacket potato, with cheese, sweetcorn or baked beans.

I am promising myself, that I will get to the club tonight, to see the lads, and watch England play their match. I just hope I feel up to it when the time comes.

Last night wasn't a good one. Ros came in just as I was going to bed to read. One and a half hours later, I came back into the lounge, having not been able to sleep. I fancied a bit of French Stick with Cheese. So went into the kitchen and got some, as soon as Ros saw it, she decided she would have some. So there we sat chomping on French Stick and cheese, and me with a beer. In fact Ros went to bed before me, I crept in quietly and didn't disturb her. At 4.00 am I was awake again, and laid until 6.00. Got up had my COT and sat and read.

I am now ready for a few zzzz, but will try not to, then I might sleep better tonight, especially with a pint or three down my neck. lol lol

How's your mouth feeling this afternoon Gill. ?? I hope it's less painful, and the Antibiotics are doing their job. When are you going back to the dentist for your check up. ???

I will make Ros a COT and give her another call. She just might come in then.

I wondered if you had changed your email and perhaps my messages were going to the wrong address.

EDIT. Good, you’ve got it at last. I was about to brag that I never get the error message but I have just had it 3 times on this thread.

It does happen on other threads but more on the long threads. I think that is because it has to open all the thread first and that takes longer so it times out.

Gill, I think if Sandra can see that your visit to the dentist was not scary after all and it has helped you with the pain that can only be a good thing, and you could say that now you will go for a proper check up and maybe she could go along with you(just to observe).

Frank, the meeting last night has just left everyone angry. Apparently there will not even be access for pedestrians or cyclists!!!!!! Nothing so far has been done about the bus route.The bus comes from Thrapston and brings people into Kettering for work ,schools and shopping. No-one along our stretch will even be able just to walk up to the garage for a daily paper.So all in all it is going ot be a flipping nightmare. No to mention delivery people. The closure is to do with Sewerage and Drainage.Everyones petrol consumption is going to increase by a huge amount as just to get to town will be an extra 5 miles or so(one way). Our Water is now due to be turned off again next Wednesday(over night). I don't think it happened the other night.

Chris has been busy today in the garden moving Ferns that have been in stone troughs for 20 odd years .I think they will have a new lease of life now :-D

I must go now as things to do . I will send a pic of part of a costume my Sister is making for a child for a school play in Amelias class. It is a Warthog! It is just the head so far.I think Janice is now wishing she hadnt offered to make it as it is quite a job.But what a great job she has done .I am waiting to see the whole outfit once she has finished.

Wow, what a job your sister has made on the warthog Jane, she's very clever isn't she? Things don't sound to good by you and having to travel 5 miles out of your way to get to the town, how long is it going to be like that? Maybe you could put a claim in for the extra petrol it's going to cost you if it's going to be a long time, petrol isn't cheap is it?

I hope I haven't spoken to soon but I haven't had the error page for the first time in ages. Even when I was posting it came back error even though it had gone through. I had to start all over again to get back on here going all around the mulberry bush and still ended up only being able to use the post date bit, so lets hope it's over now and we can use the thread in the correct way from now on.

Pleased to see you decided to wait for Harvey or Jonathon to put the glass in your greenhouse Frank, I was so worried you were going to have an accident trying to do it on your own. Fancy getting the year wrong for the wedding lol, now all you have to do is remember it. ;-) My mouth is much better now I've been on the antibiotics and isn't as sore as it has been, I had a lovely sausage sandwich for my breakfast, but they were supermarket ones so probably not as nice as yours.

I'm still a bit nervous at going to the dentist Jane, even for a check up so I think having Sandra in there with me might not help if I get upset. I'd try not to but I can't be sure that would happen, so I might just wait a while and then persuade her. She has been before and I go in with her and hold her hand, so hopefully she'll let me do that again for her in the future. I know how she feels so find it's easy for me to calm her down. I'm sure in time we'll all be registered and have regular check ups and treatments when needed.

Our new neighbour has put two signs on the skip asking people not to put their rubbish in there. Oh dear OH put two plants in there last night. The neighbour doesn't know it was him and they didn't take up much room, but after someone else putting in their old fence and a bench I think he's a bit annoyed. The plants we put in were tiny. I thought it was a bit cheeky but it's done now and knowing our luck if OH tries to take them out again he'd probably get caught......how would he explain that lol :-D :-D

That's a long time Jane, surely they can't block the whole road off for that length of time, how are you going to have your bins emptied or what if the emergency services need to go down your road. I always thought they did one side of the road then the other, but then again if they are doing work across the road then that wouldn't be possible would it? I hope it doesn't go on any longer than those dates and it's not to much for you trying to get in and out.

No, I thought 2 tiny plants would be okay as they are only putting in a few bits of cardboard off the kitchen units so probably won't fill the skip anyway. OH was told by a workman the other day that this is the last skip. They plumbed the toilets in today and took the porta loo away and the kitchen fitters said they will be finished tomorrow, so I think, apart from the drive, they are pretty much finished now. Let's hope so anyway.
