Morning all and Frank,

Its a beautiful morning here too with plenty of the yellow stuff.

Frank I don't have battery hens I have X Waitrose free range hens from not too far away. If you remember I had 7 not too long ago. I have them whenever they are getting ready to clear out the ones that are about 18 months old. She sells them off for a £1 each and well worth their money they are too. They are nearly always bald in places but they soon feather up with good food and treats. I think its about around August or October. The rest are gassed so I like to think I do my bit and give them a better life than the ones who don't make it. I am not the only person who buys some. Then they have about six weeks to move the big houses and clean up before the new lot come in.

I have to go to Mole Valley today for chickens food and oh wants some mixed washers for the mower decks so not sure what time I will go. May bring fish and chips home so I won't have tocook tonight if I go this morning. Just got to get the washing on the line and another load in, do a few jobs and off I shall go.

See you later.

Frank

Good morning from a very blue sky and bright Northants.

It looks so good out there, I am going to get the steps out and clean the windows. We and the neighbours have been waiting, it seems for ever, for the WINDOW CLEANER. You watch as soon as I do mine the Bu@@er will come. lol lol

Yes Jane, I didn't choose my words for the patients very well did I ??? Naughty Boy. !! I've just smacked my hands and legs. Oh that hurt :-( :-( :-(

I expect Hannah will marry in the little village church. I assume it hasn't changed over the years. A bit of useless information for you, The first VICAR there was a Rev. BIDEFORD. It's where we had Simon Christened and Sarah confirmed. So it has some lovely memories for me.

Last night I looked out and it wasn't raining, so I decided I would walk to the pub. WRONG DECISION. I only got down the bottom of the close when the heavens opened. I walked in the pub like a drowned rat. Maxine got my a towel to dry my hair off. Roa picked me up when the match was over.

We have the date and time of Stephens Cremation. I have told Simon and he is going to try to arrange a days holiday, so he can take us down. It's the 19th April at 11.15 am at Hainault Crematorium. So we will need o leave here around 8.30 am.

Ros is off to "STITCHERY DO" until around 3.00 pm. So I have the day to myself.

Sorry about you loosing another chicken Mel, When do you get your battery hens ??

A December wedding how lovely. I wonder if it will be a WHITE wedding in the snow? I suppose there's always a chance! :-0 Not long to go then, only 8 months to December so you better start looing for a dress and coat and a hat Jane.

It started to rain here again tonight. We never seem to get a full day and night wiothout it lately.

I must go and have a look at Mandy's pm.

Frank Report 4 Apr 2018 19:03

It's all happens to you my dear Jane. Congratulations for the winter wedding, to both of the lovely people. Your poor sister xx It's wonderful how families pull together in a crisis. When this is all over, Janice will need a holiday, if not away, a break with you would be nice.

Lets hope Ian's tests are negative Liz, that's the trouble with pains in that area, they never really know what the cause is. Lets hope also, that you get a clean bill of health when you have your check up on the 13th. It's not a FRIDAY is it ?? lol lol

Dinner was a complete success apart from I did too much veg. We just couldn't manage it all.

I's still raining here. So I will really need Ros to take me to the pub, otherwise I will be siting around in damp trousers, if I walk down there.

I do hope your family are O.K. Jane. I never had the pleasure of making a Brides fathers speech. I assume it was the LODGER of my EX. as I know they weren't married, when Sarah got married. Needless to say I didn't get an invite.

Jane Report 4 Apr 2018 18:45

It has brightened up here now Liz(just a bit). It is good you have a GP who is very thorough.Lets hope that OH's problem can he found and sorted soon. I reckon you will be signed off when you have your next check up. You have done so well with the new hip.I just wish my Sciatica was better like yours is. It is very wearing and depressing :-S.
My Nephew was having trouble weeing which was one of the big worries .But it has been put down to the amount of opiates he is having to take for the pain. Apparently one in particular can affect the sensation that make you feel the need to 'go'.

Oh Mel I am sorry to see you have laost another old Gal
:-(

Gill, doing a bit more research is good for you at the moment (it will stop you doing to much physically LOL ) It all sounds quite complicated !

The Mitts will have been a great thing for some of the many residents at he Nursing home Frank. Inmates LOL !! Some of them might feel they are. I know my Mum felt like that. They can appear to be very depressing places and like Ros many people would not be able to work in these places. I do think though that like your Neighbours Husband some are in their 'own world' which hopefully means they are not in an anxious and distressed state.

Mel I did watch Come Home. One more to go . I think it is good.

Oh Jane those months will go so quickly ,a winter wedding will be lovely ,i suppose you don't now much detail yet ,i wonder if Hannah will come home to get married or will she get married where is is living now .

We had a sunnyish morning then in the afternoon it turned really cloudy and it has rained and its blooming cold out there now.

I finished the bed and oh gave me a hand with the quilt cover as always. Its just too big for me to get the air under it to straighten it out.

O Jane poor Janice. Its just one thing after another for her and Larry. I hope Michael is ok and they can do something for his back. What a terrible Easter they have all had. Sending love and wishes. It must have been so scarey for Rosie and the children. Hav'nt you said before that James has gone all floppy?? <3

Lasagne tonight with chips so nice and easy as its one of Lidl's. I hope its ok.....

Oh dear Jane, your poor family! I do hope your nephew is ok! and your sister not too exhausted and worried.
Lovely. A Christmas wedding! Ian's nephew got married at Christmas two years ago at Beauli Abbey!! Was a bit grand, but absolutely lovely. Yes that speech can be a bit stressful!! Ian did ok though at L's wedding,, so I'm sure Chris will be fine!

OH has just come back from the GP and has to have a series of blood tests as it could be kidney problems or a calcium stone. SO, on we go with our health!! At least our GP is very thorough and extremely nice which is one worry less!! I have to go for my final X ray on my hip on the 13th April; hopefully I'll be discharged and that will be the end of that! My sciatica is much better too, so I'm hopefully back to normal!!
Been a horrible day here, sun came out for a while, but it doesn't look very nice now!!
Hope you're feeling better Frank.

Afternoon All
Well what a day. We will be having a December wedding (this year !!! ) . I was sure they would get married next year. I don't know details really but it will be a fairly relaxed and not too formal from what I can gather. I feel all in a kerfuffle .I told Chris he better start thinking of his Father of the Bride Speech LOL . I think on Saturday when we go to London I will know more.
Then I had a call from Janice to say she was on her way to Hospital with her son Michel for him to have an MRI as he has a dreadful back problem. He had been in Cornwall for the week with his Girlfriend and young William and little James. On Monday evening the pain was so bad they had to ring 999 and the fire brigade turned up (I think they cover some medical emergencies) .At the same time little James suddenly went floppy and so Rosie(the girlfriend ) called 111 and they sent out an ambulance !!!!. Michel was having gas and air and William said" Daddy ,you aren't going to die like my Mummy Jo? " :-( :-( :-(. So James was whisked off to hospital on blue lights with Rosie. Thankfully James recovered and was ok by the next morning.
As Michel was unable to drive home to Cheltenham his Dad (who is normally a sh**) and lives in Plymouth drove down to Falmouth to bring Michel and William home ,while Rosie drove Michel's car with James. You couldn't make this up could you !!!!!
So today Janice has spent 5 hours at he hospital . They were worried that Michel would have to have the same op as Fitz had on his back but that is not the case, thank heavens as it is not the nerves that are affected. Michel can't stand or sit because of the pain so guess who is having to look after William? Yep Janice again lol. She also has Finn and Amelia with it being the holidays and their Mum and Dad are working. There is never a minutes peace for my lovely sister and Larry.

I think I have waffled on enough now, and now it is 6 o'clock !!! I haven't read the posts today yet.

You are having a lot of problems finding these people Gill. Good luck with your efforts. Hope you find what you are looking for. xx

Mel, the way LABS. grow, it's unlikely that collar will fit Max. You will have to get Many to measure his neck !!! I bet he's quite a big boy now.

Just didn't know what to cook for tonight, so did a Chicken Casserole. Plenty of veg in it. It's in the oven so no standing over the cooker. Just the spuds to boil and mash

We have had rain again most of the day, but the sun has just burst through the clouds.I don't expect it will be for long, as the sky is as black as your hat. ;-) ;-)

Roa went out this morning and got her hair soaked just going across the Car Park at B & Q.

The Mittens went down very well, the two women who showed them around the home thanked Ros for all her hard work. They gave 35 out to all the inmates. (Perhaps that's not the right word, but you know what I mean.) The staff up there total 85 over a 24 hour day. I expect the old people need constant looking after and they need feeding. Ros said that most of the people un there JUST sit in a chair and look as though they have no interest in anything that goes on around them. She said it's such a depressing place, and could not work there for "all the tea in China " A neighbours husband is in there. Ros spoke to him, he took no notice of her as he was in conversation with HIMSELF ;-) ;-) ;-) Bless him.

I might get Ros to take me to the pub tonight. Liverpool are playing Manchester City in a cup match. I KNOW HOW INTERESTED YOU ARE. <3 <3 <3

I,m here too Frank. We.ve had lunch. My poor old girl was dead this morning so now I am down to 8 and still have one of my old girls. They are still paddling about in their run and I have tried to make channels to clear the water away but as fast as I get the water moving the chickens tread where I have done it and close the channel up again. Fighting a losing battle comes to mind so I left them to it.

I have stripped the bed and got half of it remade. The mattress is so heavy and dos'nt bend much and having a top and bottom of the bed in wood there's not much room for my little hands to get the sheets down.

I want to wash my hair too this afternoon but am not getting on as well as I thought.

Gillx Report 4 Apr 2018 14:49

I'm still here Frank.
Oh dear that's a lot of sneezes no wonder you were left with the shakes and your head all over the place, hope you are feeling better now.

Well, I was right, I was looking in the wrong area for my rellies, they moved to YORKSHIRE of all places. I only came across them by chance when looking for the mother, and found her living with her daughter who had a different surname. That was strange in itself as I found them together in the 1939 register but the daughter didn't marry until 1945 so why she was using her future husband's surname is beyond me. I thought it might of been because she had a child by him and he was away at war, but I couldn't find any children. I also couldn't find her sister, but after looking further it looks like she passed away age 17 also in Yorkshire.

I'm now trying to find the daughter's husband's birth and death details, but without a year of birth or area of birth it's proving quite difficult. I have found someone with the same name being born and died in the Yorkshire area so assume it's him. Although I would like more proof to be certain it's definitely him. I'm also having problems trying to find the death of the daughter's father.

I found the death of the daughter and her probate, no mention of a husband though, so maybe he had already passed away which would fit in with the possible death date I have for him. On her probate it did mention that her dead body was found the day after her being seen alive, so I assume she lived on her own and had someone going round to check on her each day. I have two possible death dates for her now as no one can be certain when she actually died.

:-S Talk about confusing, at least it's keeping me out of mischief :-D :-D

Well, I'll go and see what else I can find. See you all later.

Good morning to you all,

Another day in paradise (NOT) Raining when I got up. Have had breakfast and my shower. Will shave a little later, I have to rest in-between shower and shave now.

:-| :-|

Ros has popped out with Carole down the road to take these muffs to a nursing home. Ros isn't too happy about it. As she would have preferred them to go to those who might need them more. There are some NHS homes for people who can't afford little luxuries like these, where as people in PAYING Nursing homes can.

I feel a total wreck this morning. I have had one of my sneezing bouts. I sneezed 30 times straight off. It sends my head all over the place. :-0 :-0 :-0 Thank goodness it's stopped now, but has left me with the shakes. I am going to have a lie on the bed for a while.

See you later.

Morning all

Dry here today but there is still a lot of water laying around the garden.

I managed to get on here first time, so that's an improvement on yesterday.

Just like to say congratulations to Hannah on her engagement, the ring was beautiful Jane :-) Is she back from Paris yet?

Hope you find out when Stephen's funeral is Frank and Simon can get time off work to take you.

It sounds like you have a busy week ahead Mel, hope the weather is kind to you when you're out. I've not been watching that programme, but Sandra has on her TV and seems to like it.

I needed to sort my garden out this morning Liz, which wasn't pleasant in all the water, but some of our pots were standing in the rain water so had to be moved as they were getting to wet. It's all done now and hopefully the plants will be okay on dry land. I didn't realise I had holes in the bottom of my gardening shoes, so they have gone in the bin and I'm now using another pair I had laying around......talk about soggy feet lol.

Nothing planned for today so I think I'll take a look at my family tree. I tried to do a bit over the weekend as Ancestry had their British records open for free, but didn't get very far with feeling unwell. Unfortunately they're not open now. I was stuck on one family in particular so could of done with being able to search further.......bad luck being ill I suppose :-(.

Never mind I did find a bit of the problem which is now sorted so it wasn't all bad. I just need to try and find some death dates, but need to find their marriages first. I had a bit of a look yesterday, but again didn't get very far. I'm starting to think they may of moved out of the area they were born in.
Going to take another look now, wish me luck ;-)

I had trouble getting on yesterday so gave up!! This morning I've leap frogged through the numbers at about 600 at a time, which is a pain but usually works!
We watched Bomber Boys yesterday on catchup. It was well worth seeing and something I know you'd enjoy Frank if you haven't already viewed it.
Another gloomy day so we shall probably go shopping and pickle about! We both need to get onto the garden, but it's just too wet. M rang this morning for a chat which has set us up for the day!

Morning all,

Taken me ages to get on here. I have been to Customer Support again and got in through there. Sent them a message again and then went to General Chat and clicked on the thread where I got the first page. Scrolled down the pages and clicked then a few more pages and clicked and then to the 2000 odd and clicked and then got on here by clicking on the last page.

We have sunshine and clouds today and they are grey ones. I have an eye test booked for Friday and I need to go to Holsworthy for chicken food tomorrow so its out on Thursday and Friday to Bideford.
