My other two parcels arrived today so that's good! Busy morning hoovering, cleaning the bathroom, our bedroom and washing the kitchen floor!! 'L' rang this morning and was on the phone for just over 2 hours!! I've now caught up with all the gossip and more besides!! Also lovely long email from 'M's' partner again full of news. Her son is due home from a year working in Canada, and six months in New Zealand working/ staying with his sister who lives there. He was 21 last November so a party is being planned on his return!!
It's clouded right up here, so think we shall spend the afternoon in!!

I was just reading Franks post when the internet went out.

Its a beautiful day out there and I have scraped the moss off the tarmac down by the bantams. I have just had a coffee with oh as he came to the back door with his tongue hanging out. So still hav'nt got round to the hoovering which I am going to do next. Then I suppose it will be lunchtime so that leaves the afternoon to do the front door.

Mel, I thought you said "A little play with myself" SORRY Girls !!! lol lol

Well I have stuffed the chicken, put it in dish of chopped onions and gravy (I always do it like this) The left over chicken and gravy will go towards the curry tomorrow. I have done Swede and cabbage to go with mashed potato's.

I have spoken to the doctor this morning. I have told her to mark my records that I do not want that nurse touching my body again. She (the doctor) will have a word with the practise manager, who in turn will talk to the nurse, as on going training.

I had another night of discomfort, waking each time I moved onto that side. I am also having to take extra Co-codimol to help with the pain. I know it sounds daft, that an injection can make you feel like this. But I can assure you IT'S NOT NICE. I was awake and up just after SIX this morning, so will be tired later.

I am expecting one or two of my books this morning. I HOPE they turn up, so I have something to read that I know I will enjoy.

Mel, you are certainly getting into the "Spring Cleaning" mode How big is your hallway ?? I expect with the amount of work the mower get through in a season, the OH likes to know it's in top class condition. I must admit, that I only have a small electric rotary mower, and all that get is a brush down round the blade and casing.

Very calm sort of day out. You can hardly see any movement on the bushes. We have lots of small birds showing interest in the bird box's, so hope we get one of them nesting, or maybe more.

All jobs done for me today. Roa has just gone for Shower and hair wash. Then the dreaded HAIR DRYER. ;-) ;-) ;-)

See you later, have a good day. xx

Morning Frank and all,

We have sunshine again but clouds too. Oh is working on the mower deck and I am just going to take my pill.

Another night I could'nt go to sleep and did a Frank by thinking of allsorts of things. thats two nights in a row now. It seems to happen if I start thinking that I am not going to sleep straight away. If I can get in and think black and completely relax from head to foot I go off.

Today I am going to try and finish off the hallway and do the front door inside and out. I have set myself a challenge and may try to get some ironing done too. If I get all that done I shan'nt feel so bad about having a little play with my felt.

Good Morning Sleepy heads, lol

Was all tucked up in bed, when Ros came in, but still awake. I was asleep by the time she came to bed.

I was awake at 6.00 this morning. Laid for a while then got up and made my tea. THREE Large cups later, I am thinking of breakfast.

Spoke with my friend Alan, Jane know's who is is. He is just back from visiting his daughter and family in the U.S.A. His sister who I know has been poorly for at least 40 years, is still going strong (considering) Alan was expecting a phone call with bad news while he was away. He was most surprised when he got home and visited her. She has improved and seems to be enjoying life at 93.

Ros has just come out, so I will go and make her COT.

Frank Report 20 Feb 2018 21:22

Well I am ready for my bed. Thinking of my injection, I think she might have injected me in the small of my back. I am still in a lot of discomfort, and had two lots of extra pain killers. I might well ring the Drs. in the morning to let them know.

Even with Ros out, I haven't found much to watch. I watched Police Intercepters, then turned over to Barnaby. That just didn't get my attention. Not sure what's on now, as I am going to get washed and dive into BED. I will leave a note for Ros.

Nice that Anne has been in contact. Lets hope she is improving. xx

See you in the morning.

Thanks Jane for the photo off Anne, isn't Ruby big now? Lovely photo <3

Just watching The Dog Rescuers, it's quite sad in parts.

It sounds like you've been very busy Mel. I just coloured my hair and watched a bit of TV.

Sorry to hear about your car Jane, at least it was under warrantee so that was good. Yes hair all done and looking much better.

When the neighbours over the back cut their hedge and put it over our fence and then we cut the rest down and got rid of it, there was two branches that fell on top of their hedge, well, today the cheeky things took them off the top of the hedge and put them over our fence nearly breaking some pots I had there. OH moved the pots and between us we put THEIR rubbish back over the fence. No doubt they'll put it back over our fence at some point, but for now they have got their rubbish back. I can't believe how cheeky they are being, but we're not going to get rid of yet more of their rubbish, they can do it themselves this time.

Sorry to hear about your car Mel, that's going to cost a bit to fix. Has Stuart said how long it's going to take to do. How did you do your shopping in the end without a car?

So OH and Cass have had a nice sleep Liz. I bet it was nice and quiet ;-)

So it will be tomorrow when I get the car.I am just thankful my car is still under warrantee .

Ouch! Frank, your poor btm sounds very painful. Lets hope next months injection will much better.

Hair all done now Gill? I know it takes hours LOL I bet you feel better now it looks good :-D

Iv'e got quite used to the way they talk. My first hubby had a friend at work who was a scot and he could never understand Jock but I could. I think he was from Glasgow.

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Feb 2018 18:39

Well I got on well this morning hoovered the bedroom and his study and found loads of socks in there so I dusted in there a bit with those then did half the hall. Oh let the loft hatch down for me so I could give that a good hoover as there were cobwebs on it and then I washed it all down inside and out so that was a good job done. Then I had to faff around with the car after oh put the battery on and that was after lunch. I was going to have a wash of the front door inside and out but that did'nt get done. Went up the shop and got a bit of shopping like milk and bread a nice big gammon steak for an easy dinner tomorrow and some ciggies and salad stuff and a couple of yoghurts so we are ok for a couple of days till I get the car back. I have plenty of cider for him so I should get through to next week now.

Now there server or whatever its called for Echo is having maintainance so thats off for about an hour so I can't turn the kitchen diner light on!! I am sitting here typing by a very small table lamp.

Bunnyboo Report 20 Feb 2018 17:55

Oh dear,.from what you were saying it sounded like that! I had this happen once when I use to need my car for work!! Luckily I could always take OH's in those days if I had to, but it was a right pain! These days with only one car we have to rely on our garage lending us one when disaster strikes!! I expect you'll be mobile again soon as ordered parts usually come pretty quickly.
OH and Cas have woken up !!! Yes of course, Shetland tonight! Mind you OH likes it better than me, as I find bit a bit gloomy and the dialect at times difficult to follow! But I shall persevere!!

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Feb 2018 17:43

Its my alternater and the car is now up Stewart's and he has ordered the part. MORE EXPENSE.

Bunnyboo Report 20 Feb 2018 17:12

Hope its good news Mel! The table mats have arrived and they do look nice! I'm sorry to see my other ones go though as they belonged to my parents and were around when I was a child!!! I shall put them away on the top shelf in the spare room, as I haven't the heart to throw them out!
OH went out with the Bassett Hounds this afternoon with Cas! They have both walked miles and are fast asleep!! Don't worry, they didn't even see a hare, and even if they had, Bassetts have such little legs I don't think any hare would have been in danger!!
Casserole in the oven and dumplings waiting to be steamed! Not a bad evening though it's clouding up now!

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Feb 2018 16:41

Frank its Shetland tonight but you must see the first one first.

Just going to corn the chickens and I will tell you about the car.

Frank

Frank Report 20 Feb 2018 13:11

Like you Liz and Mel, Not a lot happening here.

Ros has caught up with the ironing. I got myself a coffee and Ham and pickle sandwich, which I haven't had for a long time. Roa has got herself a bowl of soup and a cheese and onion sandwich.

Sun is streaming into the conservatory, so it will be warm out there. I might take my book out there later.

Mothers club tonight, so I will record her soaps, so she can watch them when I've gone to bed. What will I watch tonight. ?? decisions, decisions. I'm sure I will find something to interest me.

I have won the SIX BOOKS for £2.00. they will keep me busy for a few weeks, together with the others that I bought.

Whenever I have bought from Amazon I have always got free Postage. But I don't buy that much from them. I use eBay more than them.

My buttock is still very sore. (MUM MY BUMS NUMB) that came from nowhere !!!

Bunnyboo

Bunnyboo Report 20 Feb 2018 12:41

Oh yes Mel you do have to check on postage!! If you buy things to the value of £20 the postage is usually free, but you do have to check! We've bought some table mats, table napkins and two pairs of overalls for OH, which will be coming in the next day or two! Like you I buy quite a bit, but usually try to do a job lot so to speak!
I ended up taking Cas as OH was busy welding!! She had a lovely time in the big field opposite. We can go in there till they plough it which will be any day soon :-(
Soup for lunch, then not much else today!

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Feb 2018 11:46

I order lots of things from Amazon, nearly every week. I must warn you that when you buy things on there look out to see what the postage is if there is any as I nearly ordered some plastic test tubes for about a fiver and the postage was £14. I could'nt believe it! :-0

No I can't take oh's car as its full to the brim with his fishing gear plus the fact as he dos't use it now I don't think it has road tax. I may be wrong but I would'nt use it anyway as it only crawls along. Mines bad enough but at least my tax is cheaper than when I had the old Rover but I do miss her sometimes when I am going up a hill and we have plenty of those around here.

Think I will go and hoover as oh is outside cleaning up the mower deck with the wire brush so I can get on while he is out.
