So we're all pilling round yours then Frank ;-) ;-) ;-) Hope Ros made it to Devon okay and didn't get stuck in traffic for to long. Good idea to stay in if the weather is cold and like you said you can always listen to the football on the radio.
Good news about Ian Liz, I hope my OH has good news like that when he goes in March.
That's not good having sheds broken into Jane. Let's hope the police catch them soon.
Hope you don't have to much trouble with your electric Mandy, at least it's not taking the TV off and your lights are still working, even if they are flickering. Glad you got my card okay. Hopefully Mel's arrived today too, as I posted them both together.

Still not got into any trouble. !! I just put my nose out the front door. I am not too sure if I will venture to the pub, as I have to walk home too. It seems very cold outside, and I am so snug and warm here. I might just get into my dressing gown and watch something on Tele.
Mandy THE PARTY str when you all arrive. Don't forget a bottle or three. ;-) ;-)
Not good having the "tea leaves" around Jane. This is when it would be nice to have a dog, to warn if anyone is around.
Spoke to Ros earlier. They were stuck in traffic and hadn't moved for 3/4 of an hour at Newton Abbot. Thy stopped on the way and had food, so all being well they are home safe and sound now. <3 <3
Yes I have decided I am staying home tonight. I can hear the match on the radio if I want.

Evening all,
What a lovely sunny day we've had today but the wind had been chilly , we have at last cut the old christmas tree up that we had outside the front door , it was still lovely and green .
Gill the card arrived this morning thank you , we saw that the wind had played havoc with the snow boarders at the Olympics , i did watch some skating this afternoon .
Very good news for Ian Liz ,would he be able to pass the tiny stones ? The marmalade looks good ,all those jars will keep you going for a while .
Not more break ins Jane it doesn't seem that long ago you were saying there were break ins round your way . Well your tasty looking dish will be just the ticket for tomorrow with Fitz coming .
So all on your own then Frank ,you make sure behave yourself don't you dare do any thing silly while Ros is away . What time does the party start ;-) :-D :-D :-D all round to Frank's LOL
Better post this as the electric keeps playing up the lights flick off and on quite quickly but it's not taking the television off :-S Looking on line it's an over head cable that's causing the problem ,lots of homes with no power .

Afternoon All
Good news for Ian then Liz.If there are any tiny minute stones lurking they may just clear without any intervention.
So Frank ,all on your lonesome now for a whole week !!! What on earth will you be doing with yourself. Not getting into any trouble I hope. :-D No getting up ladders or trying to wet and forget the roof !! Both feet on the ground please :-D :-D If you do need a lift or any help at all for anything I can always hop in the car and be over to you . Poor Ros. It must be horrible getting these continual water infections. I expect though that this will keep happening until she gets her operation. It might be worth her asking the Dr for some extra antibiotics just to keep for the next time it happens so she may nothave to go the the GP. She knows the signs now. I hope she has a nice time with Jan down in Devon. As Mel said just think of the peace you will have from all the soaps :-D :-D. It will be BLISS. Has she left you a list of Do's and Dont's LOLOL
Gill I have enjoyed most the Olympics I have seen too. I did hear that some things had to be cancelled because of the weather.
My Neighbour from 2 doors down has just brought Thomas back as he was sitting on the bonnet of next doors sporty car in the front garden. She was on her way here to let us know there has been a speight of shed break ins along our road. Chris juat checked ours down the bottom and all is well. Next door go to Australia for a month this week, another friend and her OH are in New Zealand for a month, then there the elderly lady who died house that is empty and another lady we know is away !!!!! I did notice that locksmiths were next door this morning ,so whether they have had bother or just having extra locks as they are away for so long I dont know. I reckon the thieves are coming up through the back field into the long back gardens as many of the sheds are not so close to the houses. I will have to put my nosy head on and keep a good look out for anything suspicious :-D
Tomorrow we have a guest for the night. It is Fitz !!! His son Tom's friend from Rugby days took his life the other day and Tom wanted to get all the lads together. But not at his place (because of little Ottilie ) so asked if it could be at his Dads.Fitz and Georgette were fine about it but Fitz said he would go and stay in the Travel Lodge !!!!!!! as he didnt really want to be there. Honestly he is as daft as a brush sometimes. So I said he could come here for dinner and stay the night and he has taken me up on the offer. So it was stripping the spare bed today ,not that he would mind sleeping in a bed that me and Thomas had used for a few nights. Its all fresh now. He will bring his own special pillow. For dinner I will get that meal I did the other night out of the freezer ,so will just need to cook rice and maybe some peas.
Mel are you doing anything tomorrow for your Birthday ? Does OH ever cook? I wondered if he might cook up a delicious meal for you what with it being your Birthday and Valentines Day the next day.
Tomorrow will be 13 years since my lovely Mum passed away. :-(
I am waiting to hear from Anne about the Doggy Meet up yesterday :-D :-D

Hi allLiz please to hear that Ian is free from Stones. That's TWO of us. Just needs Glynn and we have a full house !!!
Mel I agree with you Endeavour is a bit difficult to get your head round. It took me ages to get the story line, then it was over.
I see that Chelsa are playing WBA tonight. WBA are at the bottom of the table so should be a walk over for Chelsea. Lewis will be pleased, and no doubt watchng it. I might even take a stroll to the pub to watch it. But must remember I have to walk home as well.
I had to put my book down as my eyes were starting to close, and I don't want to sleep this time of day.
Just had a call from me friend from B.E.N. He is stuck on the M25the M1 and M25 are at a standstill with a nasty accident. He is off to Costa Rica in two weeks and will phone when he gets back to arrange to come and see us,
Clear sky out there now, so expect the frost will arrive with the darkness. Nice frost to wake up too in the morning. See you all soon.xx

But just think Frank you can watch what you like on the tv and don't have to listen to any of the soaps. I hope Ros has a nice rest down in Paignton for the week. Don't forget we are always here for you to talk to.
I can't seem to get into Endeavor this time around. Not enjoyed it like in the past. Sometimes I think we get fed up with the same sort of story lines.
I did enjoy Call the Midwife though.
I have been watching Country File Winter Diaries on catch up and have enjoyed those as they have a bit of everything on there. Frank you could watch those on BBC iplayer on the pc.
Di called in this morning so I hav'nt got anything done. She called with my birthday present and card. I had two more cards in the post today and the one from Di so have a nice pile to open on the day.

Well here I am A BACHELOR BOY. !!! Jan arrived as planned. Had a coffee, and was taking Ros out for some shopping and lunch. While they sat nattering Jan said HOW ABOUT COMING DOWN TO PAIGNTON for a week. I wasn't keen, so I said to Ros YOU GO. it will do you good get get a break, so she packed her case and tablets for a week, and off they went.
They will stop on the way down for food and a break, and will be good company for each other. I will manage on my own. If I want to go to the pub I can, or I can stay at home. There is plenty of meats in the freezer and Veg in the fridge, so I won't go hungry.
We certainly had a blizzard last night. It didn't last long, but left snow and hail all over the garden and the car. I had to clear it off the car for Ros to go to the Drs.
She has another water infection, and this is why she has been feeling down. Another course of Ant- biotics. They should clear it up in a few days.
Yes Gill, I think you deserve a day off today. All work and no play etc. So take it easy and enjoy the Olympics. !!!
I have just gad a plateful of seafood and salad, so I doubt I will want much tonight. I have cold pork in the fridge, so can do something with that, if I want to eat later.
Nice clear sky's but very cold, I have put the bins out for tomorrow morning, so I can sit and read my book in peace and quiet.
I am sure I will be bored out of my brain, before the week is out, so you could be seeing quite a bit of me on here. !!!

Well, we're back from the hospital and no signs of gall stones!! However, as OH is still getting intermittent pain it could be that the stones are too small to be picked up on the scan or that they apparently can be like grains of sand and again undetectable. So he may well have to have an endoscope at some stage to give a more thorough picture. Have to see what the GP says!! Not a bad morning here, so better put on my boots and take Cas.

Morning Frank, Gill and all,
We have sunshine today too. we had hailstoney snow in the night and some of it is still in the garden in places where the sun has reached.
Had the leccy off for a while this morning as oh has done a bit of rewiring in the loft.
I have chucked out a whole plastic box of cleaned jam jars today. They went in the recycling. I used to keep them for jam making but now I don't do too much I thought I would free up one of my plastic storage boxes so I can put something else in it. Now I just have to find the lid!!!!!

Morning all
Bright and sunny here, but very cold.
Sorry to hear Ros isn't very well Frank, hopefully the doctor will give her some antibiotics. Yes it might be better to wait until Ros is home before you have your shower.
I've just had to put a bit of wallpaper paste on the edge of a couple of piece of wallpaper as it had come up, it's all sorted now and OH is changing the kitchen taps over, then we'll make a start on the kitchen doors.
I do need to start stripping the wallpaper off the living room walls at some point, but I've woken up with a bit of a headache so will leave that for another day. I'm not planning on doing to much today as I think I overdone things yesterday which is why I'm not feeling brilliant today.
Just watching the Winter Olympics. I've missed quite a bit so far so I'm just catching bits and pieces of it at the moment. It looks like the weather is causing the athlete's some problems and even stopping play altogether on some events. The bits I've managed to watch I've enjoyed and so has Sandra.

Good morning all, Just a quickie, as Ros is at the Drs. She thinks she has another WATER INFECTION , and Jan is due here in half an hour. I was hoping to get showered and shaved before she got here. I will see if Ros is back from the Drs. before I go in the shower. Don't want to leave Jan on the doorstep. I won't leave the front door unlocked either.!!!!
See you later.

Sorry to hear you're not well with your hip, back and sciatica Jane, it must be getting you down now. Will a hot bath help with some muscle soak?
Fancy James, Hannah, Jess and Gareth bumping into Tom, it's a small world isn't it?
Yes Sandra had her roast dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. She might let us do the kitchen now LOL. Your meal sounded lovely. I hope you have enough logs to keep you going until Friday, I've just seen on the internet that Britain is bracing itself for a BIG FREEZE. I can't say I'm looking forward to that though. How is Thomas now, I hope he's feeling a little better?
I can't believe that within 24 hours the wallpaper has gone from the shop shelf to our bedroom wall. All the bedroom furniture is back so we can sleep in there tonight now. I'm having second thoughts about the wallpaper I bought for the living room as I think it's a bit dark for a North facing room, so Glyn said he would take me to the Range to see what selection of paper they have. I can then use the paper I bought for the living room in the spare bedroom as that is a south facing room.
I'm absolutely shattered after working all day, I think I might of over done things so might have an early night. I wish this cough would go, it's starting to drive me mad now and is hurting my side each time I cough. I wouldn't mind but I don't seem to cough as much when I'm standing up so it hasn't bothered me during the day, it's just started up again now I'm sitting down.
I think I'll watch a bit of the Winter Olympics before bed. I've just finished watching Dancing on Ice with Sandra that I recorded earlier.
See you all tomorrow Night Night

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY <3 <3 <3 <3...... Sorry this is a bit late in the day but we have had a bit of bother with the internet today. I wonder if it might have been to do with the weather. We had one heck of a hail storm earlier with thunder too !!! Some snow also. It was quite stormy, and now looking veryt stormy again. I hope today have been a good one Mandy with nice presents and lots of cards :-D
Gill what along shopping trip you did yesterday . Where on earth did you get the stamina from with still feeling under the weather?? You did so well getting all you needed didnt you. I bet that wallpaper will be up in aflash now LOL.
Oh Frank, I dont think I would fancy a 2 seater plane somehow. But what a lovely offer .You may decide to give it a go (when the weather is good. Just think of the view you will get over our county.
Massive snowflakes here now!!!!!. It was blue sky a little while ago. Thomas is in. I dont think he is feeling 100% as he was sick again this morning. Maybe he has found a batch of dodgy mice :-SHe has hardly been out at all much today.
Mel we were talking about our flat roof over the garage the other day as it has to be about 20 years now since we had it re felted .I dont think there are any leaks but it wont be long before something happens.Lets hope your flat roof is still ok and you dont have to fork a shed load of money.
Did Sandra get her Roast Dinner today Gill? :-D :-D
I wonder how Ruby and Anne got on today at the Boston Terrier Meet. I have no idea what the weather was today down in Hove today.
Yesterday when James Hannah Jess and Gareth were at the indoor Crazy golf and Bar they spotted Fitz's son Tom !!! He was with work Colleagues having fun. Tom bought my lot a round of drinks on his companys Bar Tab :-D What a small world though .Of all the places to bump into Tom. James said that after the Golf they had a really lovely meal at some Greek Restaurant. So a good day out for them all. Gareth won the Crazy Golf.
Roast Beef here tonight. My Roast Potatoes look amazing :-D :-D :-D. The Beef seems very tender.I cooked that this morning and sliced it ,covered it with gravy so it just needs reheating now. Carrots,Parsnips,Leeks in Roasting so it is all looking good so far.
I have not had a brilliant day with my hip/back/sciatica. I was awake a lot in the night because of it . Even my heat patch hasnt done much good today. I tend not to take 2 Codeine and Paracetamol tablets as the codeine does have the unfortunate effect of constipation. So I take one with the codeine and a normal Paracetamol .Plus Ibuprofen.
We are trying to eke out our logs now. Should be ok until thursday and then the next load delivered on Friday.. My next door neighbour mowed her lawn today !!!!!!. I thought she must have lost the plot LOL .It must have been so wet and she was struggling with the mower.
I see an email from Liz about Marmalde :-D

The bedroom's finished now Frank, so I'll give it an hour or so to dry and put the furniture back in. At least we won't be sleeping on the sofa's. OH was having a joke with Sandra before when she asked where we were going to sleep and he said your mum and I will pile into your bed. You can imagine what she said....bless her. I just sang "There were three in a bed and the little one said roll over" LOL
I remember those wallpaper books Mandy, can't say I've seen any recently as everything's online now. I prefer to see the paper properly as the pictures online don't do the wallpaper justice. So Max has worn himself out, bless him. I can imagine him running around with excitement. I do miss having a pet, this place can be so quiet sometimes.
Going to get a cuppa now, I think I've earned one ;-) ;-)

Simon rang earlier. They were at "FOXTON LOCKS" a flight of SEVENTEEN LOCKS, which have been drained for repairs. He says it's only the 2nd time in their history. So a sight be be seen for sure. Sally is in training for her Marathon walk in May. She walked 15 miles let Thursday, and is hoping to get it up to the full 26 miles over the coming weeks.
Mea is in the oven, and the oil is heading for the roasts. Cali and broccoli in a dish with cheese sauce ready to be heard through later. Just the brussels, peas and carrots to boil. The Yorkshire will go in shortly. Then it's all systems go for dinner.
Glad you have had a nice day Mandy. Back to normal tomorrow !!!!.
You certainly don't let the grass grow do you Gill. Will you finish it tonight. ??

Yes i'm sure it will be here tomorrow Gill . So your getting on well, i'd be no good at paper hanging ,i don't like painting either i tried it once and got loads of runs so i leave that to Colin now . It's surprising how just doing one wall with wallpaper can make the whole room look so different ,there's some lovely wall papers now ,i can remember when mum and dad use to get the wallpaper books and have to pick paper to order ,we use to have a paper frieze too i think it went under the picture rail ,then they called them borders .
Just having a nice cuppa ,Max is curled up on Colin's feet he's worn out with getting excited with all the visitors LOL

It sounds like you had a house full Mandy, how lovely. Pleased to hear it was just a tummy bug and nothing to serious. I hope all goes well for Neil it must be a worry for the family at the moment. It's amazing what the doctors can do nowadays though, so it sounds like he's in safe hands. I posted your card with Mel's on Friday so hopefully you'll receive it tomorrow. Sorry it's a bit late.
No I don't let the grass grow, I love being on the go all the time so was quite frustrated when I couldn't do much for a few days with being ill. It's nice to be back working again now though. Just another 2 pieces of wallpaper to put up then the bedroom will be finished. The last piece will need cutting in half length wise so that will take a little longer than the rest of them, but not long now and it'll all be done. I have to keep stopping as my side is still a bit sore from all the coughing when I pulled the muscles, so it's taking me a bit longer than it normally would.
We've had a mixture of sunshine and hail showers, one minute it's bright where I'm working and then it's so dull I have to put the light on. I wish the weather would make it's mind up :-S
Well, I'd better get back to it, see you all later.
