Dullish morning here, the sun is trying to come out but not very successfully! It is very cold though, so we won't be going far today.
Thank you Gill for your email. Oh dear, you do sound poorly! Hopefully today you begin to feel a bit better. Like you, our TV's have Freeview built into them, which was another reason we went for FV.
Good news for us. The surgery rang and OH's PSA test hasn't gone up from September! We see the Urologist in two weeks time, so we can see what the next step is without too much worry. Meanwhile OH is having an ultrasound next Monday for his gallstone problem! Luckily we only have to go to Chippenham for that which is only a 12 mile round trip, going past Sainsbury's door, so we can do some shopping at the same time!!! At some point, I will get an appointment for a final X ray on my hip, so as you see, never a dull moment!!
Unfortunately, Cas got under OH's feet last night when he was getting supper and he trod on her paw!!! This morning she is limping quite badly, and feeling very sorry for herself! I've put on a cold compress and given her a pain killer, so hopefully that and bed rest will do the trick! At least we'll have a peaceful day!! Oh here she comes, limping lilly!!

Its been snowoing that fine stuff for about half an hour now. There's no wind so its just drifting down but it not settleing only on the car roof.

It's snowing here but isn't settling very well, just on the grass and not very thick.

I've woken up feeling worse than ever and now all down my right side is very sore. I think I've pulled some muscles with all the coughing, my throat is really painful and so is my left eye. All in all not a good day. I'm sitting here with a hot water bottle on my side, but it's not making much difference.

OH's appointment came through yesterday for his ultra sound, but it's not until the middle of March. I can't believe how long it's taking to check for stones. All he can do is keep taking the painkillers. He's becoming very grumpy with it all now, which I don't need with feeling unwell myself, but I suppose I can't blame him, he's been so unwell for so long I think anyone would be grumpy in his position.

I haven't read any posts yet, so hope everyone is okay.

Its cold here today and no sun at the moment. We must have had a slight snow shower as there is a very tiny bit on my car. Skies are grey this morn ing though and not nice and blue like they have been lately.

Donkey day again.

Went to bed earlier for me last night and must have dropped off straight away as I don't even remember laying there. Got up once in the night and then woke at 8.45am.

I do hope this cough you have is getting a bit better now. It is going on for an awful long time. Poor Anne, Frank Mandy, Gill and Colin. You'll all feel healthier soon. Sending love and wishes. <3

Its freezing here and I have had the heating off for most of the afternoon. I am just about to turn it back on by Echo.

The fellow who was coming did arrive but he had trouble finding us. Anyway to cut a long story short we only need a new lock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! about £20 so oh is ordering one for us and he will fit it. He had to give us a quote anyway and the quote was for £1,33.78. He was a lovely chap and he had the smallest hands I have ever seen on a man. They were smaller than mine.

New wellies 2 are just great as I can put my feet in them and out of them with out having to touch them. I can just sort of walk them off like I could the old ones.

Not sure Jane!!! Yate (we went to) is nr Chipping Sodbury in South Gloucestershire, about 12/14 miles from us. It's got a huge Tesco's.
Merlin was VERY, pleased to come in tonight, Its certainly a lot colder this evening!

Liz is Yate the Yate near Nailsea? I lived in Nailsea for 3 years after Chris and I married and he did his 3 yrs GP training there. I;m sure Cas's coat will be fine. Better to be a little big rather than too small.

Hannah and James have used it each time they go away now for ages and kept telling us we should do it. It is a worldwide thing.You are in touch with the owners all the way through (if needs be) . This is the second time we will have booked somewhere with Airbnb .

MEL, I had a phone call last night at 10pm (just as I was off to bed) It was Will(our old friend Will and Shani ) in Wales !!!!!!. We had a good old natter for almost an hour !
He sends his love to you and anyone else who might remember him.We had a good laugh ,and put the World to rights.It was really lovely to hear from him :-D.

Well, the Cassie coat arrived with the Postman at midday, and yes it fits, just a little bit big, but she may well fill out as she gets older! like us!!
We've spent most of the afternoon looking for a Humax recorder! J.L in Swindon didn't have the one we wanted, so we had to go all the way to Tesco's in Yate where luckily they had three!! It's a huge shop but they are re-jigging the electrical dept, so a lot of things are not currently in stock, so we were lucky!! I don't know if you can get a Jewellery prog on this system Frank, but I know you can get a lot of the progs that Sky do. I'll let you know when we're up and running!

Guess what? You know I said I did'nt like these wellies I bought for £49.99 like the ones I have had over the past 20 years. Well I have now bought another pair in Mole Valley which are the same style as my old ones and they are Dunlop and they cost me £55.00. So thats over £100 in wellies in a week. I only wish I had'nt worn the other ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I came out of Mole Valley £86 something lighter.

When I went round to feed the big girls this morning on the way back to the house I saw a couple of tiny flakes of snow. I better get out quick I thought incase it comes down. No chance the sun came out and has been out ever since. I also looked at the moors on the way into Hols. but there was no snow on them either.

I can hear the leccy screwdriver going in the loft so he must be putting more boards down or legs fro the next boards.

I have no heating on and its freezing in here. I may ask him if I can put it on. Thing is it all goes up in the loft!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I can close the kitchen door at least.

Had a toasted bacon and tomato darn for lunch with a coffee. Was tempted to put some cheese in with the bacon, but thought about my waistline lol.

I suppose Cas still needs her run, whatever the weather. I know my old Labs who run for miles if I let them.They never seem to tire out. ONLY ME, even though I was a young man then.

I have just had a "HOT FLUSH" I have had to take my jumper off. The heating is on, but not too high.

We are in favour. BOTH Conrad and Jan phoned today to see how we are. Jan is coming up his way at the weekend to see an old friend over Kettering way, she is also hoping to go to Leeds to visit an Uncle, who visits her in Paignton. She will spend either Friday or Monday with us, so she can go shopping with Ros. "MORE EXPENSE" My poor piggy bank ;-) ;-) ;-)

Suns out again. The conservatory is nice and warm, so I might take my book out there for a while. (IT MIGHT LIKE IT) JOKE. !!!

Beautiful morning here, not sure how long it will last though! The chap came as promised and we've settled for going onto Freeview, which he is going to set up for us on Wednesday. We've got to go out and buy a box probably from John Lewis as they have a better guarantee time, and more choice than Currys. So sorry to hear that you are feeling so rough Gill, I have e-mailed you but if you feel to poorly to reply, I'll understand!
Today the doggy coat is supposed to be being delivered! I'm sure it will be, but you never quite know till it happens!!
Frank you really are going through the mill with this cough, honey and lemon is very soothing. I agree with you about Endeavour, We like it because it's Oxford, but as you said the storyline is a bit weak and the diction a bit muffled!! I think, like Silent Witness, it's just run out of steam and the storyline has become 'boring'!!
Hope all coughs and colds are better today.

Dry here today, I've just cut back a few plants I have in the greenhouse and then used the cuttings to make more plants which are now on my kitchen window sill. the job only took a few minutes so not to bad as I feel awful again today so I won't be doing anything else. My throat is so bad I can hardly speak. I have to whisper anything I want to say. I find drinking plenty is helping, but then I'm on the loo all day.....I can't win :-(

Sorry to hear you're still under the weather Mandy and poor Colin too. It's no joke is it? Good idea to stay in the warmth if it's snowing. We don't have any snow here, just lots of clouds.

So another night up Frank, you must be getting fed up of it now. I hope it all goes well for your appointment on Wednesday and they find the stones so they can be sorted out, then you'll be out of pain.
The mittens sound like a good idea, that'll keep Ros busy for a while.

A lost post Jane, I've only had that happen to me twice and each time was annoying. At least you said what you wanted to in the end. It'll be nice to get away to the cottage in June. Let's hope the weather is better by then. I feel like winter is never going to end at the moment.

Hopefully the fella will turn up about your back door this time Mel. Did he say why he had to cancel the first appointment? He left it a bit late to tell you, didn't he? It sounds like all the Robin's know where to go for a good feed lol.

I didn't bother posting in the night, but I was up as usual. Ros came and got me about 3.30 am. I managed to turn over at 7.30 and dozed until 9.00 am.

No sign of snow here. Just BLUE SKY's as far as the eye can see. If there was a frost, it was before I was up. !!!

We sat and watched D.O.I. then Endeavour . I just couldn't get into the story line, and find his voice difficult to follow. (going deaf) ???? I don't think so. !!!

Jane join the "lost posting" club. If I had a pound for everyone I have lost I would be rich !!! So you are booking a cottage. What is a AIRBNB Cottage ??? It sounds a nice part of the Country. I loved my visit to CHATSWORTH many years ago.

Like most of you, I enjoy nature programmes, and watch NAT,GEO. most afternoon. If I have seen the prog. I flick down to EDEN, and watch David Attenborough. You can always be sure of a good programme with him.

Certainly nothing planned here today. Ros will get on with her knitting. She is making MITTENS with lots of things attached to the backs for people with PARKINSON'S/ ALTZIMERS (sp) The idea is they have things on the mittens to fidget with and keep their hands occupied. Never heard of it myself, but evidently someone in Stitchery do has. Ros has been put in charge of the organising and distribution to the right people, to pass on the those affected. (KEEP HER OUT OF MISCHIEF) lol lol.

Off for my shower and shave. Then I will BUM around for the day. EXCITING LIFE I LEAD, DON'T I ????

Colin still has his cough as do i and i just don't have any energy, this flu seems to take a while to shake off.

I have had 6 Robin's round the back door asking for mealworms and all of them puffing their chests out at each other. They are funny as there is plenty for all of them.

I have a Beef Casserole with Dumplings on top in the oven now . Mashed Potatoes ,smooth as a babies bottom ( I put them through the potato ricer) Spring Greens and Sprouts .
Thomas had his flea treatment earlier and after licking his fur , then having a mouse is now looking very sickly :-S :-S.. I hope we dont have an undigested mouse brought up on the carpet
