Well, we're back from the hospital and no signs of gall stones!! However, as OH is still getting intermittent pain it could be that the stones are too small to be picked up on the scan or that they apparently can be like grains of sand and again undetectable. So he may well have to have an endoscope at some stage to give a more thorough picture. Have to see what the GP says!! Not a bad morning here, so better put on my boots and take Cas.

Morning Frank, Gill and all,
We have sunshine today too. we had hailstoney snow in the night and some of it is still in the garden in places where the sun has reached.
Had the leccy off for a while this morning as oh has done a bit of rewiring in the loft.
I have chucked out a whole plastic box of cleaned jam jars today. They went in the recycling. I used to keep them for jam making but now I don't do too much I thought I would free up one of my plastic storage boxes so I can put something else in it. Now I just have to find the lid!!!!!

Morning all
Bright and sunny here, but very cold.
Sorry to hear Ros isn't very well Frank, hopefully the doctor will give her some antibiotics. Yes it might be better to wait until Ros is home before you have your shower.
I've just had to put a bit of wallpaper paste on the edge of a couple of piece of wallpaper as it had come up, it's all sorted now and OH is changing the kitchen taps over, then we'll make a start on the kitchen doors.
I do need to start stripping the wallpaper off the living room walls at some point, but I've woken up with a bit of a headache so will leave that for another day. I'm not planning on doing to much today as I think I overdone things yesterday which is why I'm not feeling brilliant today.
Just watching the Winter Olympics. I've missed quite a bit so far so I'm just catching bits and pieces of it at the moment. It looks like the weather is causing the athlete's some problems and even stopping play altogether on some events. The bits I've managed to watch I've enjoyed and so has Sandra.

Good morning all, Just a quickie, as Ros is at the Drs. She thinks she has another WATER INFECTION , and Jan is due here in half an hour. I was hoping to get showered and shaved before she got here. I will see if Ros is back from the Drs. before I go in the shower. Don't want to leave Jan on the doorstep. I won't leave the front door unlocked either.!!!!
See you later.

Sorry to hear you're not well with your hip, back and sciatica Jane, it must be getting you down now. Will a hot bath help with some muscle soak?
Fancy James, Hannah, Jess and Gareth bumping into Tom, it's a small world isn't it?
Yes Sandra had her roast dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. She might let us do the kitchen now LOL. Your meal sounded lovely. I hope you have enough logs to keep you going until Friday, I've just seen on the internet that Britain is bracing itself for a BIG FREEZE. I can't say I'm looking forward to that though. How is Thomas now, I hope he's feeling a little better?
I can't believe that within 24 hours the wallpaper has gone from the shop shelf to our bedroom wall. All the bedroom furniture is back so we can sleep in there tonight now. I'm having second thoughts about the wallpaper I bought for the living room as I think it's a bit dark for a North facing room, so Glyn said he would take me to the Range to see what selection of paper they have. I can then use the paper I bought for the living room in the spare bedroom as that is a south facing room.
I'm absolutely shattered after working all day, I think I might of over done things so might have an early night. I wish this cough would go, it's starting to drive me mad now and is hurting my side each time I cough. I wouldn't mind but I don't seem to cough as much when I'm standing up so it hasn't bothered me during the day, it's just started up again now I'm sitting down.
I think I'll watch a bit of the Winter Olympics before bed. I've just finished watching Dancing on Ice with Sandra that I recorded earlier.
See you all tomorrow Night Night

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY <3 <3 <3 <3...... Sorry this is a bit late in the day but we have had a bit of bother with the internet today. I wonder if it might have been to do with the weather. We had one heck of a hail storm earlier with thunder too !!! Some snow also. It was quite stormy, and now looking veryt stormy again. I hope today have been a good one Mandy with nice presents and lots of cards :-D
Gill what along shopping trip you did yesterday . Where on earth did you get the stamina from with still feeling under the weather?? You did so well getting all you needed didnt you. I bet that wallpaper will be up in aflash now LOL.
Oh Frank, I dont think I would fancy a 2 seater plane somehow. But what a lovely offer .You may decide to give it a go (when the weather is good. Just think of the view you will get over our county.
Massive snowflakes here now!!!!!. It was blue sky a little while ago. Thomas is in. I dont think he is feeling 100% as he was sick again this morning. Maybe he has found a batch of dodgy mice :-SHe has hardly been out at all much today.
Mel we were talking about our flat roof over the garage the other day as it has to be about 20 years now since we had it re felted .I dont think there are any leaks but it wont be long before something happens.Lets hope your flat roof is still ok and you dont have to fork a shed load of money.
Did Sandra get her Roast Dinner today Gill? :-D :-D
I wonder how Ruby and Anne got on today at the Boston Terrier Meet. I have no idea what the weather was today down in Hove today.
Yesterday when James Hannah Jess and Gareth were at the indoor Crazy golf and Bar they spotted Fitz's son Tom !!! He was with work Colleagues having fun. Tom bought my lot a round of drinks on his companys Bar Tab :-D What a small world though .Of all the places to bump into Tom. James said that after the Golf they had a really lovely meal at some Greek Restaurant. So a good day out for them all. Gareth won the Crazy Golf.
Roast Beef here tonight. My Roast Potatoes look amazing :-D :-D :-D. The Beef seems very tender.I cooked that this morning and sliced it ,covered it with gravy so it just needs reheating now. Carrots,Parsnips,Leeks in Roasting so it is all looking good so far.
I have not had a brilliant day with my hip/back/sciatica. I was awake a lot in the night because of it . Even my heat patch hasnt done much good today. I tend not to take 2 Codeine and Paracetamol tablets as the codeine does have the unfortunate effect of constipation. So I take one with the codeine and a normal Paracetamol .Plus Ibuprofen.
We are trying to eke out our logs now. Should be ok until thursday and then the next load delivered on Friday.. My next door neighbour mowed her lawn today !!!!!!. I thought she must have lost the plot LOL .It must have been so wet and she was struggling with the mower.
I see an email from Liz about Marmalde :-D

The bedroom's finished now Frank, so I'll give it an hour or so to dry and put the furniture back in. At least we won't be sleeping on the sofa's. OH was having a joke with Sandra before when she asked where we were going to sleep and he said your mum and I will pile into your bed. You can imagine what she said....bless her. I just sang "There were three in a bed and the little one said roll over" LOL
I remember those wallpaper books Mandy, can't say I've seen any recently as everything's online now. I prefer to see the paper properly as the pictures online don't do the wallpaper justice. So Max has worn himself out, bless him. I can imagine him running around with excitement. I do miss having a pet, this place can be so quiet sometimes.
Going to get a cuppa now, I think I've earned one ;-) ;-)

Rain, hail, and snow here in a matter of half an hour. Now clear sky nd wha looks like a lovely SUN SET.
Simon rang earlier. They were at "FOXTON LOCKS" a flight of SEVENTEEN LOCKS, which have been drained for repairs. He says it's only the 2nd time in their history. So a sight be be seen for sure. Sally is in training for her Marathon walk in May. She walked 15 miles let Thursday, and is hoping to get it up to the full 26 miles over the coming weeks.
Mea is in the oven, and the oil is heading for the roasts. Cali and broccoli in a dish with cheese sauce ready to be heard through later. Just the brussels, peas and carrots to boil. The Yorkshire will go in shortly. Then it's all systems go for dinner.
Glad you have had a nice day Mandy. Back to normal tomorrow !!!!.
You certainly don't let the grass grow do you Gill. Will you finish it tonight. ??

Yes i'm sure it will be here tomorrow Gill . So your getting on well, i'd be no good at paper hanging ,i don't like painting either i tried it once and got loads of runs so i leave that to Colin now . It's surprising how just doing one wall with wallpaper can make the whole room look so different ,there's some lovely wall papers now ,i can remember when mum and dad use to get the wallpaper books and have to pick paper to order ,we use to have a paper frieze too i think it went under the picture rail ,then they called them borders .
Just having a nice cuppa ,Max is curled up on Colin's feet he's worn out with getting excited with all the visitors LOL

It sounds like you had a house full Mandy, how lovely. Pleased to hear it was just a tummy bug and nothing to serious. I hope all goes well for Neil it must be a worry for the family at the moment. It's amazing what the doctors can do nowadays though, so it sounds like he's in safe hands. I posted your card with Mel's on Friday so hopefully you'll receive it tomorrow. Sorry it's a bit late.
No I don't let the grass grow, I love being on the go all the time so was quite frustrated when I couldn't do much for a few days with being ill. It's nice to be back working again now though. Just another 2 pieces of wallpaper to put up then the bedroom will be finished. The last piece will need cutting in half length wise so that will take a little longer than the rest of them, but not long now and it'll all be done. I have to keep stopping as my side is still a bit sore from all the coughing when I pulled the muscles, so it's taking me a bit longer than it normally would.
We've had a mixture of sunshine and hail showers, one minute it's bright where I'm working and then it's so dull I have to put the light on. I wish the weather would make it's mind up :-S
Well, I'd better get back to it, see you all later.

Afternoon all,
Many thanks for the birthday wishes and cards and your e card Liz it was lovely with the lab in it . Gill no your card hasn't arrived here maybe tomorrow . The family came this morning they are all better now it was just a tummy bug ,they came in with cards and pressies and a birthday cake ,then sister and BIL turned up with chocolates . Neil their son will be in hospital for six weeks with this heart infection ,he has to have antibiotic injections every four hours ,he has a line that goes in his arm up his neck and down near the heart ,they are hoping the antibiotics will go into the valve near the heart where the infection is but it's a bit hit and miss ,they are hoping this will work so he doesn't have to have another operation on the heart valve ,he's had a camera down his throat to look at the heart and has to have that done again on the 20th ,as it goes down it goes behind the heart so they can see the valve . He he hadn't gone to the hospital when he did they said he would have died .
Gill you don't let the grass grow do you ,you've soon got the wallpaper up on the wall ,bless Sandra thinking about her food LOL
Having a nice lazy day here ,the suns out at the moment but we had hail a while ago ,might even get a little snow i think .

We're having chicken too Liz, I've done half the wallpapering in the bedroom and it looks lovely. Sandra said she'd like the same paper in her bedroom if we ever move and she has a big room to take the print. I've just stopped decorating for lunch. OH is dishing up with Sandra helping.
I don't think I'd like to go in the plane either Frank, but it was nice of him to offer it to you though. So the baby quilting is stopping, the alternative place doesn't sound suitable at all, which is a shame.
So your OH has lots of plans to do things too Mel. It must be the time of year for it with getting closer to Spring. We've had a bit of sunshine which goes into our bedroom so it was nice to see the new wallpaper in the sunlight.
Well, I'd better go lunch is ready, then it'll be back to finishing off the bedroom or we'll have no where to sleep tonight ;-)

Happy Birthday (again) Mandy! I hope you have a lovely day <3 Frank, be careful with co-codamol, too much and it can bung you up if you're not careful, (sorry to be indelicate!) I had an awful, quite frightening experience after I broke my hip due to too much of it!!! I'd hate that for you! A flight in a two seater?!! Not for me, OH very probably. I'm not a natural flyer anymore and have enough trouble going on a channel hop with KLM! It's not always been that way and I now find it hard to believe that once I was perfectly happy to do long/medium haul flights without a care in the world! old age I guess!! Funny day here! One minute bright sunshine, next, dark threatening skies! We're having chicken, roast spuds and leeks in white sauce, which should be ready about 2.30. After that, a nice film?!!

Gosh that was a good offer Frank but I don't think I would take it up either. I have never flown in my life!!
Well we are still getting snowy type showers and the wind is very high and bitterly cold. I wondered if we would have a rainbow with the snowy bits that was coming down but I did'nt see one and thought the sun could shine through snow so probably not.
Just having a COC before doing the big breakfast.

Good morning Gill and all,
One again "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Mandy. By what you said yesterday, I m almost old enough to be you FATHER. o a lite more respect from all you youngster's. lol lol.
Beautiful sunny, windy morning here. I have been to the dustbin and it's very COLD. So no plans on doing anything today.
Ros has been doing our tablets for the following month. I am suppose to take two Co-codimole four times a day. Do they give us enough for a months supply. NO WAY I do try to keep to two twice a day, but still don't have enough in the pack to last the month. I will have to have words with th Doctors.
While I was reading the paper and having my 2nd cot, Ros decided to do the Veg for dinner tonight, just leaving me to make the Yorkshire, Cheese Sauce and grey. So a nice easy task for later.
Gill, you really went to town yesterday in more ways than one. All those doors Paper and paint. You are going to be Sooooo Busy. Good luck. !!!
How are the "DUCKS" doing Mel. ?? Is it still a duck pond in their runs.
We both have chesty coughs still, and I ache all over. I swear she has been kicking me in the night. lol
Madam has made another "TWIDDLE MUFF" (that's what they call them). There are little things sewn inside and outside for the person to play with while they sit, and of course they keep their hands warm, inside the muff. Martine ha been making them for ages, and takes them to the General Hospital, for distribution to the patients that want them.
It looks like the Baby Quilt thing is going to stop. The group that meet up every month have been asked to leave where they meet. The organisers have found another location in Daventry. The trouble is there is no big Tables to work on, not enough sockets for the sewing machines, and no Coffee/Tea making facilities. Plus it's up two flights of stairs.
A lad in the village has offered me a flight in a TWO SEATER AIRCRAFT. he works for a company that makes them a Sywell Airdrome. H said he can always arrange it for me. I am not sure if I would like it, but the offer is there.
Roast leg of pork with crackling for tonight. with all the usual veg, and apple sauce.
Have an enjoyable day whatever you are up too xx

Enjoy your day and be spoilt rotten.
Morning all,
We have sunshine and clouds and we've had a snowy shower this morning too. The three deer were laying up the top of the garden by my border and did'nt move when the shower came down.
Oh is now talking about our bit of flat roof over the lounge and wondering if we should have it redone. Its over 20 years since it was refelted after having a leak. He will go up and have a look when the weather is a bit better.
Hope Frank had a better night last night than the night before and got a good sleep.
Glad to hear you all seem to be on the mend now Gill so don't over do it and make yourself ill again. I like Sandra and her not wanting you to do the kitchen as its Sunday and there is the roast to cook. Bless........
I have one lot of washing out on the line and am just about to put more in the machine.

Morning all
<3 <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY <3 <3 <3 Have a great day what ever you are doing.
I hope the weather is better for you than us, we've got rain, hail and snow. I hope the birthday card I sent you arrived on time.
I hope the weather is nice for you too Anne, the last thing you want is to walk around is horrible weather. I'm sure Ruby will have a good time what ever the weather is like. I'd love to see some pictures if you take any.
How is your OH Mel now he's had a few days rest. Does he have much more to do in the loft now? Your poor girls in all this wet weather I don't blame them for not coming out of their house very often. Is there a way you can raise it up for them so it's not so near to the ground where the rain collects? Or maybe move them to a drier part of the garden. I know it's more work but would be better for them and of course you in the future. It can't be much fun trying to sort them out in all that mud. Your back door lock sounds much better just turning a knob and not having to mess around with keys.
How are you and Ros today Frank, I hope you are both starting to feel a bit better?
I've spent the morning preparing the bedroom for decorating so that's my next job. It's only six pieces of wallpaper so hopefully it won't take to long to do.
I'm feeling much better so far today so that's good and so is Sandra and OH. Let's hope we all carry on getting better and don't have any set backs.
I had to laugh with Sandra yesterday, she said we couldn't make a start on the kitchen today because it's Sunday and we have to cook a roast.....talk about getting her priorities right, bless her. ;-) ;-) Like I've said in the past, she loves her food.
