Been up the tunne and picked more tomatoes! I have them coming out of my ears at the moment. Must get some bagged up and put on the stall outside.
I was up there enjoying myself when oh appeared at the door and asked me if I had had any breakfast. Yes I replied I had a bowl of cornflakes. He said he had'nt and when I looked at my watch it was 1.30pm !!! I usually do lunch for about 1pm!! No wonder he was hungry...........
All fed now and back out in the garden on the digger.
some sun and blue skies now and I better go back up the tunnel and get the beans I forgot to bring down with me.
Hope the smoke clears for Jane when she gets back from the hairdressers. Smoke it awful and you even get the taste in your mouth :-P Yuk.

I can't go in the garden because the smoke is so bad and smells dreadful. It is on ground level at the moment.Chester and I have the sneezes :-S
Frank from what I can gather it is bales of compressed paper that is used for power stations !! I shall be glad to go to the hairdressers soon to get away from it.It will probably move higher soon with a puff of wind.
Must get changed now.Back later with my new hair do :-D :-D

Afternoon All,
That's good you got the pics to send to Mandy, Mel. I was going to have a look for them later.........no time yet with these workmen buzzing around asking questions and needing drinks. The patio is like a billiard table this time.....don't think the moles will move these slabs with the thick mortar under them!! They are doing the slate base for the new seat now and then there is only the grouting to do. They have levelled up some of the old slabbed path up the garden too. They have been very careful.......even covered the plants in the front border in case the mixer splashed any cement over them.
Frank, if you were like OH you wouldn't even need to shave much!! Glad Ros has managed to eat a little.
OH is having a nap I think. He was flying about moving cars again at 7.00 am after being out quite late at a meeting last night. He has worked so hard shifting stuff this week, his muscles are all achey and sore fingers from all that tweezing of the plastic sack from his boot lock!!
It seems as if all the plastic stuff at these recycling plants burns like mad and for a long time. I know what you mean about the smell Jane, it is particularly unpleasant.

I've had my three cuppa's Egg and Bacon sarnie, Set up for the day now. Ros had a glass of milk and a mince pie. (whatever she fancy's) I also have massive veins, the nurse always says" no trouble with you then." Your blood almost gives up on it's own :-D :-D
When peeling the Potato's yesterday I took a slice of the tip of my little finger. My, did it bleed. I had kitchen roll round it with a elastic band to hold it in postion. This morning you can hardly see it.
I aught to pop in to Northampton CC and take a look how the "HAPPY BUNNIE" is doing. Have you thought of going to the Public Area, to see what goes on ??
You find it hard to believe that this fire could be burning deep inside for so long, and then come to life again. Lets hope this time they get the job completed. I wonder what they stored there ??? see you later

I keep meaning to tell you this!!!
Remember I planted some sweet peas up the border and I said the rabbits had bitten them off. Well I picked my first two sweet pea flowers at the weekend!! They are now full of buds but don't think I am going to see many actually flower. I have a lilac one and a nice soft redish one. They are on the table in a tiny vase.

Morning All,
Started very misty and moisty this morning but it is not raining at the mo. I have put washing out as it brightened a bit.
I have been trying to get the pic of Mandy's uncles medals. I have sent her one which I think may be them and are just waiting for confirmation from her.
I have a fasting blood test on 24th Oct including a smear test and my flu jab. Thought I would get it all over at once. Not looking forward to it!! Used to go with mum and we had our jabs together and the blood tests. It is a year nearly since she died and it has passed so quickly......

Morning Frank,Kim and all Yes Frank he has gone with a face like a wet weekend lol.It is Northampton CC. Kim I am so lucky and have really good veins.I remember when I a Renal Nurse many of my patients had really bad veins and I would have to even try taking blood from their ankles. The veins in our arms Frank are nearer the surface so easier to get at.
I just spoke to a Fireman as I sat in the car waiting for a burst pipe to be fixed and he reckons the fire could burn for a fortnight :-S :-S It is the same one as last time. The smoke is right over the garden and house at the moment and is really low.The smell is horrible so I have had to shut everything up.
I hope Ros keeps everything down today and is not in too much pain today.
I need some breakfast and a cuppa

Morning Frank. Hi to Kim too.
I know all about blood tests Kim, I have the same problem as you, because I am small & at the moment thinner I have very thin & wobbly veins, and the nurse always has a hard time geting the blood to flow or the needle to get in the first time, they try the right arm first and when that does not work they try the left and I often come away with huge bruises in both arms,& I find it difficult to get the sticky plasters off later on in the day,
gray day, but no rain yet, another quiet day for me so far still in my dressing gown, will get dressed after my shower. Not sure If daughter no1 &Sofia will come for lunch, they sometimes pop in after playgroup as they have to go through my town to get home.
off to get my shower BBL

Morning/evening Kim,
What a bummer not being able to get blood, from your arm. Why it it they always go to the arm ?? Can't they get it elsewhere.
Ros is still sleeping, she ate a bit of dinner last night and kept it down. !! I must learn to cook smaller portions, Now we haven't got the chickens, it goes in the bin, such a waste.
Very dull here this morning, but not cold, the sun may break through later.
Not sure what plans Ros has for me today. Haircut comes to mind. I wonder what I would look like bald, All I would need then is a shave :-D :-D :-D
Has Chris. gone on his merry little way Jane. Where is the court. ???
Liz, seems a lot happier in her new surroundings, and Ian id progressing after his illness, so good to see.

Hello people, down to Sydney today to the doctors and more blood taken, but it wouldn't come out, so she tried for a vein further down my arm. Got plasters all over me, haha.
Thanks for that pic Jane - sure is a stubborn fire!!!!
I will try to catch up on your news tomorrow, so tired. Glad to see you back Sheila and poor Beryl, what a state she is in!!!!
Hope you feel better today Fiona and Ros too. I know about the bleeding gums and I take care of my teeth and floss, but I wouldn't be getting the right amount of minerals either.
Hope sun is shining on you all. Have a good day. 6.21 pm EST

Poor Katie,Croup is a nasty thing and it's awful to hear a child coughing with it. Fingers crossed she is over it soon.
Fiona I hope you have a better day tommorow.I am surprised you haven't had an date for your op(with it being Private).I would get on the blower if it was me.
I have made Chris go to bed as he is driving me nuts tonight, plus that blooming alarm will be going off early in the morning.
Who is on WDYTYA tonight?

I had to look those up David as I didn't know what they looked like. A nice warm jacket and that was a bargain, looking at what new ones cost. OH still has a grey herringbone tweed wool jacket he got from a charity shop about 15 years ago for £10 and it still looks good.......won't wear out. You can find some really good things, some unworn or unused.
