Hi Mel,
I am here busy on the trees, I have made a few coc# ups. but trying to sort them out. Must get all I caqn from Ancestry. before I cancel on the 16th. Tos thinks I am doing too much. But is so surprised how far I have got on her tree.
Pat, The old favourite is, FORGET TO SIGN THE CHEQUE, You could also try sending it to the wrong address, but put yours on the back of the envelope. Show the Figures different to the numbers, by quite a bit, The banks will never accept that. :-D :-D :-D :-D Just plead ignorent to what you do. BEEN THERE DONE THAT GOT THE TEA SHIRT. You could question the items on the bill, and want proof they purchased the things they said they used, to see it wasn't over from a previous job. You want to play them at their own game.
Poor old Chris, I bet he is nodding off, listening to all the evidence, GUILTY. No smoke without fire. :-D :-D :-D :-D HANG HIM/HER. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Ros, has cleared the little planters that hang on the fence down the side of the bungalow, and is now planting them up with all the little viola's, should look nice when they settle in.
Jane, Conrads squirrel was running around the lawn yesterday. His mouth was overflowing with a Wallnut. Loved to know where he was getting them. Conrads lawn is full of them . He evens stops at the patio window and looks in, and Conrad waves at him :-D :-D :-D

Morning All,
Dull and grey here too.
Shame the conker thingy was canceled and I bet there will be a lto of people disapointed.
Frank good that you had a nice weekend and enjoyed your selves. Bet you look so smart now you have your hairy bits tidied up :-D
Pat sounds as though you too had a nice weekend with the grandchildren.
Mandy, a nice shelf for your cottages and fairy's! Which fairies have you got? I have loads but they are not all out now. Too many to dust :-(
Kim good that hubby now does the washing too. It saves you over taxing yourself.
Frank you should have got them to show you how to copy and paste while you were away. I meant to remind you but completely forgot :-|
Jane like the new pic. Did James help you get it on there or did you do it yourself?
Ann I hope your dig goes well today and they get the trench finished.

THey had wanted to charge us £50 plus vat to paint the new bathroom ceiling but it got painted anyway with the other work..
WE had to pay £200 plus vat for the old ceiling to be taken down and replaced and for the new light fitting to be put in but we didnt agree for the ceiling to be painted lol...at least we gained something.
Have 3 weeks to pay for it..How long can we string them along. :-0

Morning All.
I have had a quick read though all your posts
Very cold at my daughters on Sat..In the morning went to watch my grandson do Gymnastics and in the afternoon my granddaughter Judo.
They both already do Taekwondo and have earnt many coloured belts.. Not as interesing to me as their other sport.. They are starting swimming too. In my day we couldnt afford to pay for the kids to do many things...At least my daughter can drive ( which I cant ) so no problem there. Had time inbetween to call in As*a I dont shop there usually..Had some nice ladies clothes so bought some thick tights and a lovely blue jumper.
Then called in the charity shop near her and bought another pair of trousers which may have to be turned up slightly . :-0
Sunday was alovely day spent an hour on the beach with 2 out of 3 grandchildren..They do like throwing pebbles into thje sea..The tide wascommimg in so after being told nomy granddaughter took her shoes off so that started the little one off as I made him keep his on.. At least I managed to take them home with dry trousers. :-)
Had fish and chips for lunch but the fish was overcooked and dry..Dont the fish shops give you too many chips at least for me..Had it with a glass of wine back at the house..
When we arrived home the bill was waiting for us from the builders..Just the amount we had agreed on at the beginning..

morning All. Jane I have been called up twice to do Jury service, first time I was in court, but didn't get on the jury, Thank goodness, and second time I went to the court house, but never made in to the court room, not needed. No I was not happy at all, I felt sick about the whole idea, don't think I would have slept if I'd known what the folk on trial had been up to.
gray & wet again, plan to go into town , for poly pockets, and have a look for a bath coushion (sp) I have two and they are both falling to bits, I like the ones that are filled with foam, much more comfortable than the inflatable ones, :-)

Morning Kim, and all,
Clear blue sky and plenty of the yellow thing, up in the sky. The crystals in the window are giving off a wonderful display around the lounge. Can't keep my eyes of them.
Not a lot happening this end today. I now I should get all these bulbs put in, but I really don't feel like it at present, too many aches and pains.
Had my two cups of tea, and Bacon sarnie. Ros is still in the land of nod, We thinkit is all the tablets she is taking, as least while she's asleep she's not in pain.

Ann so glad you stayed with the class, I really like what you are making.

Mandy it is one of Mums knitted cardies I am wearing but it looks really bobbly I think I must have been 5 in that pic.
Well I have spent the last couple of hours looking through loads of certificates, wills ,ownership of grave plots and all sorts.Chris dug them out I have never seen them before !! A couple of sad things too. Now I am off to bed.Chris will be up at the crack of dawn :-S.He is watching Downton Abbey .I will have to catch up on the series at a later date as I have missed most of it. :-|

Oh my Frank, I bet Jan's daughter sees some sights to make your eyes water doing BACK, CRACK and SACK!! lol :-0 :-0 Glad you had a nice time at the party though.
Liz, that will be quite a quick trip to your family and for them to you along the motorway then. Will the grandchildren want to ride Merlin. I would have LIVED at my granny's if there had been a pony there!! lol We live near a motorway junction and OH loves how quick it is to get to places.
Well, it will be a busy week for us. The patio needs clearing of the furniture and pots........ and the gravel needs scraping well back from the edge and room making for the concrete mixer. Slabs coming in the morning, a skip the next day. The electrician is continuing the 'dig' to lay the rest of the cable too........just hope it stays fine so they get done quickly!!!
Off to get a cuppa now and watch Stephen Fry and then Downton which we are recording. I had a strange dream last night.......dreamt I had to do an exam and was walking down a corridor where they had put stairs up and down over every doorway because of Health and Safety......people coming out of the doors!! Then we were sat on high stools!! (I know where that came from. lol) There were partitions each side of us so we couldn't see each other and I hadn't a watch and didn't know when to start as no-one was supervising. I couldn't see if anyone had started to write!!
Night , night everyone..... and wouldn't it be nice to sleep the whole night without waking or having to get out of bed.

Evening All, "DIXON OF DOCK GREEN"
Arrived home about an hour ago, now in dressing gown and away from X factor.
We had a nice weekend. Ella's party was fine with her Aunt Kerry coming over as well as very old friends of Jan,from when the girls were young. We had to blow the candles out four time and sing "happy birthday" We also had to do it twice today :-D :-D Her birthday is Wednesday, but because she had her party, she is now FOUR and not three till Wednesday.
Jane, it was roast rib of beef, with even more trimmings than I do, trying to show me up. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Liz, isn't it lovely when you get a surprise like that. I wish it happened to us more often. What motorway is it. The M4 or 5.???
It stayed dry for the rest of the day, even though it was overcast.
Jan's daughter Jo runs a WAXING business in Torquay. She bought the waxing kit with her and waxed my ears, nose, and plucked my eye brows, Conrads also, he wimpered like a puppy, SOFTY.!!! My it does feel great not having any hair in those awkard spots. She also does "BACK CRACK AND SACK" but not for ME :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0. I would never live it down.
Trust you all had a good weekend. I will see you all tomorrow.
I also did some more work on my tree, now back to 1740s, will try and do more tomorrow.
Good night God bless

Yes Mandy, we are now much closer to them and our son Mark, 45 miles as opposed to 154 miles! We are, as Mark said, the right end of the Motorway. We should see a lot more of them which will be really brilliant.

Yes its coming on Ann, but hubby's only doing it at the weekends ,he's to tired after work to do any at night ,and i i'am useless at decorating , the walls are going to be Apricot White , i do tend to go for the very pale colors ,i like the bolder colors but i don't know if i could live with them all the time if you know what i mean :-S
His toe looks sore ,he's off tomorrow to the doctors to have his tablets reauthorised so he said he'd get the doctor to have a look at it ,it does look like the new nail is beginning to grow a little bit .

What a nice surprise for you Liz, must have helped pep you up a bit having the family there for a while , are you nearer them now so that you will see them more ?
We managed to find a new shelf for under the hall mirror , we got a glass one with rounded corners so that should look nice with my cottages on.
Called at the farm on the way home and bought a sack of spuds for £5 ,will save getting bags from the supermarket . We've been out in the garden this afternoon ,just clearing up and putting the garden furniture away for the winter ,it was nice and sunny or a while and not at all cold .
Oh Jane's changed her photo :-) is that a knitted cardi i spy :-D

What a pity Chris isn't looking forward to it Jane........I would love it!! I think I have lost hope of ever being called now. :-S :-S Maybe he should watch the film 'Twelve Hanged Men' starring Henry Fonda to put him in the mood. :-) I like your new pic, you look so angelic! How old were you? I didn't know you were a skier.
Yes David, your wife missed an interesting case there!
Your hubby is making good progress Mandy........ceilings are hardest so the rest should come along quite quickly. Did you say the walls yould be a creamy colour? It will be all nice and cosy with the new carpet down too. A shelf with your cottages or fairies would look nice......but out of reach of little fingers as you say. Ouch!! Was your hubby's toe sore after the nail came off?
Mel, how magical to be able to look out of your window and see a deer. I would love that.
Frank, I am not very good at recognising different trees and wouldn't know a Walnut tree if I saw one. I trust they were on the ground and that you didn't need to shin up it to find them.:-0

Don't know if I mentioned it earlier. My wife got a summons to be on an inquest jury for 3 weeks This was quite some time back before we moved.
Ellen had physiotherapy apptts and 2 Doctors appts during the said 3 weeks. So she got on to the relevant party and requested the summons be set aside, they said yes, excused.
The 3 week inquest jury was it proved for the late Roule Moat
I think she would have rather changed some appts and been on that jury.
Incidently the Coroner was the same one that presided over the inquests following the deaths of her Mother and her Father.
