Morning Liz. Morning Frank

Glad your settling in to your Bungalow Liz. I grew up in a bungalow because my mum was unable to climb stairs due to ill health, I liked it being all on one floor.
my MIL has an old saying at bedtime "well I'm away up the hill meaning she's off to bed. sometimes when I'm really tired going up stairs is like climbing a mountain, lol :-) :-)

It has been a wild wet & windy night here and is still raining and blowing a gale.
Need to go into town and pay a bill , and do a bit of shopping in Mar*s,

whoops!!! sun has just come out, we might be lucky and it will stay a while.

morning liz.

Bright little butterfly this morning, or should I say "O(LD BIRD" :-D :-D :-D

I have been up since 6 am, suddenly I can't sleep in, in the mornings, had three cups of tea, feed the cat.

Beautiful morning here also, we had rain yesterday evening, but all dried up on the patio now, with a typical autumn breeze but wall to wall sunshine.

While sitting having a cup of tea, I started all the CRYSTALS moving in the window, the sun coming through them made some lovely patterns on the walls and ceiling.

Going to do a bit more on my tree,

Hows Queenie this morning, hope everybody is well too.

I'm the early bird this morning! Had a really good nights sleep and am ready to face the day! Nothing to report except that it heaved it down in the night, but this a.m is windy, bright and chilly! Bungalow needs a good clean, but hey, I think I can manage that without too much hassle!! The garden here is really pretty, overgrown due to neglect, but nothing a good pair of seccateurs (spelling?) and TLC can't put right! Talked to a friend yesterday ref:- taking old NFH to a judicial review to try and get some of our money back, not sure we shall bother though, probably just more hassle with no result! We are going to talk to our Insurance Co though as we might be able to make a third party claim. Will keep you all posted. Thank you ALL for your support throughout our troubles, it really helped to keep our morale up through a VERY difficult period.

Evening All,

Glad everybody seems well, and getting used to the cooler weather.

It's been hissing down here for the passed hour. Rattling againt the conservatory windows.

Old cat is back in the shower. Ros has even put a blanket in there for him. Something else to move every time I want a shower. SPOILT OR WHAT.

Done loads on the Family trees today. Paper everywhere. Must clear up.

Goodnight to you all, sleep tight.

You're quite right Mel, we shouldn't have paid them a penny piece, but we would have lost the sale and been sued for breach of contract by our buyer, sued by our buyer, and God knows what else as well as having to go on living next door to these hellish people so, we didn't have much choice!! Yes Anne, our lives are certainly a lot more peaceful now, and we both feel a lot better, in fact Saturday morning was the first morning for weeks on end that I didn't wake up with that 'sinking feeling'. I wouldn't wish what we've been through onto my worst enemy (well, only one, maybe!)

Hi Everyone Had busy day yesterday out and about but have managed to complete the holiday ironing today ( Yippee). Spent the morning trying to find a toddler bed for Hazel as family coming in a couple of weeks. After much searching and looking at folding beds etc we have decided to buy a toddler bed from good old Jo** Lew** and a mattress frm Tes** as JL does not have one. Thanks to the internet again we can have delivered to the door.
I am now wearing the dreaded stockings for my legs and they seem ok at the moment so lets hope they work.
Pleased to hear that Fiona is eating a little more and that Jane's tooth problwm appears to be fixed.
Liz I was horrified with the tale of your NFH and hope life is much less horrendous for you now. Thought we had problems with the Horsebox but that pales into insignificance in comparison with your probs.
Must go as cooking the tea :-) :-)

Glad you are getting settled in Liz.

Some people just can't let sleeping dogs lie can they. A right nice piece of work those two. I still don't think you should have paid them anything though.

Must go and corn the chickens as they are making a lot of noise outside the window.

Oooohh I hadn't spotted your post Liz. We have been quite worried about you so thank goodness you have arrived at your new place. What a nightmare for you .......... your NFH were trouble right to the end!! How awful of them trying to get your new address like that. I think you did the right thing......at least you are rid of them now!!

Our electrician is still digging....he says our garden is a rubbish dump under the surface!! He threw me a 'roman bracelet' he dug up earlier!! lol I wish it was. lol OH hasn't been out the back at all today!! lol

That sounds a good tactic to eat more earlier Fiona.......worth a try to see if it helps.

I have cleared a huge box of old floppy discs and other bits and bobs today.......can't use them on our computer so may as well get rid. I really must have a go on ebay with 2 old cameras I have. We must have other stuff to sell too.

Glad your tooth saga is over Jane. Poor Fitz sounds like he needs a bit of a break......good that he has a bolt hole at your place though when it all gets too much. :-D

We are going for a carvery when the electrician goes......got a voucher for a free pud with it.

Maureen Report 5 Oct 2011 16:27

Glad to hear you have at last got away from those NFH Liz and are settling in to your new home, hope they didn't manage to get your new address.

I've been soaking up the sun until yesterday, that's it now I reckon but fingers crossed it will be a nice weekend as we are off to Portsmouth for a couple of days not expecting sunshine but let's hope it doesn't rain.

Did you enrol in any classes Ann, have you got a project going as you mentioned beads?

Did manage to catch up on some of the posts, sounds like you had a great holiday Anne.

Thanks for the photos Frank, you can see your garden gets a lot of TLC mine is looking very neglected with great logs laying all over the lawn, have to wait for son to cut them up, I do have a go at most things but draw the line at chainsaws.

Looking forward to WDYTYA, I do like the ones with Eastend connections, Richard Madeley certainly has some fascinating ancestors but I just didn't find settlers in the 'new world' that interesting, they cut out the ggg.aunt who was burnt as a salem witch, now that I would have found more interesting. Have you found any saints or sinners yet Frank.

Two more fingers from me to your NFH Liz.
Good to see you back. What a nightmare for you both.Have Pm'd you.

Dentist went fine .I finally have my new Crown :-D :-D :-D.In and out in about 20 minutes. How many months has this tooth business gone on???????.Hopefully that is the end of it now.

I now need to do some jobs around the house.I have had Fitz here since 9am.He had to get away from the house and came here as a bolt hole(not sure if that is the right expression) :-S.Have sent him back with a big hug and told him to take a DEEP BREATH as he needs to face his Mother.I can't say more other than i really felt for him today.
Sheesh !I am so pleased I have a normal family.

It is quite dark here now.Still no rain though. But very breezy.

Ann sounds like have found a good place and much better prices.

Fiona ,i bet you feel better after being able to eat something.

Oh dear Pat ,is it a cough and then oops!! lol.Touch wood no need for the Ten* here just yet.My sister has that trouble sometimes and blames it on having a 10lb Breech Birth!!!!!!.Yikes.

I really must get on,but am waiting for a call now from Fitz.Just to let me know how the land lies at his place.Have told him my door is still open if he needs.

Hi Everyone,

You are right Frank, searching for your ancestors does get a bit addictive and the time can fly!!

Hissing Sid had a lovely hissy lisp and would do long hissy words and pause. I can't remember who did his voice though?? :-S

Crowns don't usually take long to fit so Jane should be in and out quite quickly today. Mind you, doesn't your heart sink when you think they have finished and then they start poking at something somewhere else!!!

The electrician is here digging away again. OH has kept out of his way this morning as he wants to get on with things and he knows he won't be able to get away once he starts chatting!!! lol

This morning I have found a really good little place in a unit that sells beadwork things very cheaply. :-D :-D I shall be going back there......half the price of Hob*ycraft.

Better get on with going through my wardrobes now..........
