Kim,that seems an awful long time to wait to see the specialist. What happens now with your pain if it doesn't settle.Hotfoot it to Sydney?I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.
Anne your hoiiday sounded amazing. Not sure I fancy the idea of Rattlesnakes and Scorpions though :-S :-S.Can't wait to see some of your pics. What was the hottest temperature you had there?
My TV sk* controls doesn't seem to be working.I have changed the batteries but nothing. It is stuck on one channel and even if I turn the tv off and on again it goes straight back to that channel.Any ideas anyone.Do I need new controls? I better go and see if I can find the Sk* details in the filing cabinet :-|

Hi everyone and thanks for the welcome home messages. Sounds as though everyone is still suffering in some way or another, must be to do with age. I have been to have my Doplar test at the Drs and will need to wear these horrible stockings all the time. Trouble is my legs are now much better but guess I will give then a try. The jet lag is now wearing off and both hubby and I had a better nights sleep last night. The weather is much better today and the last of the holiday washing is out on the line. I have done one lot of ironing so far today but can see another waiting for me ugh. What can I tell you about my hols Las Vegas was whacky, Zion and Bryce canyons were fabulous, the Grand Canyon was huge and the San Pedro valley was very hot with rattlesnakes and tarantulas but quite the most wonderful place to stay. I will download some photos for you all to see.
Fiona My neighbour had her gall bladder removed earlier this year and is now feeling much better so hope you can have it done quickly. She had it done at the day hospital but guess they will want to keep you in overnight if you are having it done privately. Thankfully have not put too much weight on whilst on holiday so must work hard to get it off again before the winter. :-) :-)

Hello everyone,
Shocking day for me pain and nausea. They are thinking now acute pancreatitis, so I have to hang out until next Monday for this specialist.
Thanks everyone for the photos I did enjoy them before the s**t really hit the fan. Fiona get the damn thing out, my pain in that region did improve when I had my gallbladder out via keyhole surgery. Didn't fix my CFS and the continuing health problems, but it did stop that pain and I was able to eat more of what I liked. If I remember correctly I was also having reflux at that time, but they wouldn't remove it until I saw a surgeon and he said lets whip it out. By this stage the stones were blocking the bile duct and my eyes had turned a slight yellow. I do wish you well with it all and hope it comes to an pleasing end very soon. Yes and my pain was under the ribs too.
Sorry no more for me. Hope everyone is well. Maureen glad you liked the email about the frog - it tickled my fancy too, lol.

Morning all, from a much cooler Northampton. Still in shorts.
Have cleaned out wheelie bin, left to dry. then I will spray with Jeye# fluid. Fresh for another two weeks. Green rubbing bin bben full since it was emptied last week, now the neighbours too.!!! He's in Orlano till Thursday, so won#t need it I HOPE.
Skonen with Condad this morning they spent Friday at the SAVOY HOTEL in London for a business meeting, with the developers in the Carribean. Allright for some :-) :-) :-)
Fiona, Lets hope you can get in and get this lot sorted once and for all, You can't keep putting up with all this discomfort. It must drag you down.
Jane, leave poor old Chester where he is, I am sure he can get his excerise in the garden.
What are you all upto today. Me thinks, it's a day of doing nothing. Let my limbs get back to normal. Ros is also in a lot of pain today. These patches, and new pain killers don't seem to be doing any good.
Pat, That photo of the Robin, is good enough to enter into a local paper competition, many professional photographers would be glad to get one like that. It's beautiful

Fiona I thought all along it was the gall bladder. I do hope they can whip it out quickly for you and you will feel much better and get back to eating normally again.
Still haveing trouble withthis sight. My cursor won't go on the page easily now and the words are not appearing as I type sometimes.
Welcome home to England Anne, you take it easy for a bit to get back into our time line and get rid of the jet lag.
Ir's another nice day here today but there is a breeze which makes it a little cooler.
It is also shopping day and my poor little feet are feeling quite achey today after walking sown the church and back yesterday evening. I did have a little heel on the boots I wore!
OH is digging out the tree stumps from the bank they were planted on. He said there is no stone in the soil he is digging away!! That is very unusual from this garden. He thought they may have been a bit smaller than the ones he took out before but has found they are still quite large.
By the way we did'nt take the marrow to Harvest as we walked!!
Frank I remember going over the fence at the Lido at night on a summers evening with the gang. The water was so warm in the evenings after a lovely day. My dad used to take me there on a Sunday morning when I was small to teach me to swim. I can remember having my rubber ring round my waist. It was blue one side and white the other. Don't think there was arm bands around then. Must have been about 17 when we went with the gang. That was when I went out with a John Smith. Once we went to Southend in my dads builders van and were stopped by a policeman and he asked for his name and when John said "John Smith" he said come on son don't give me that!! I seem to remember he had to hand in his licience to his local police Station to prove it the next day.

Morning All,
Haveing trouble getting to the last page of this thread so posting to get there so I can read yesterdays posts.
Thanks for the pics Pat and Ann and Jane.
We went to the harvest festival yesteray and the supper afterwards. It was really lovely food laid on by a friend of ours who is a smashing cook and does lots for the community. We had two big slices of ham (oh had three) and homety pie which I have never had before. I asked Pat for the recipe. The pastry just melted in your mouth. There was french bread and plenty of salad stuffs and egg mayonese (sp) with fruit crumbles to follow with custard or clotted cream. Guess which I had?? yes of course I had the cream.....mmmmmmmmmm also cider or apple juice to drink. No tea or coffees served.
Had to walk back to the house in the dark and it was so black I had to hang on to OH as I could'nt see a thing!! Then I took my glasses of and it was much better. As we came into the garden through the archway it seemed much lighter and there were my solar lights shining away by the back door. We had'nt meant to stay to the supper so had'nt left any lights on. Then had to shut all the chickens and bantams in.
We did'nt take the car as we thought there would'nt be a place to park. We could have!!

Morning All Oh Fiona. You have been saying for a while now you think it the Gall Bladder.I think the telling thing is the pain between your shoulder blades.I remember my sister having that before she had the GB out.Lets hope they can get you in and get it removed asap for your sake.Good luck this afternoon.
Chester has made it quite clear he did not want to go walkies this morning. We just got to the beginning of the lane and he wouldn't go any further.I think his legs are hurting. So he can have an easy day today.
It is cloudy at the moment and thankfully just a tad cooler. Lots and lots of ironing to get done this morning :-S

Morning All
Well What a awful afternoon I had yesterday , about 1.00pm I got this horrendous pain under my ribs and between my shoulder blades. went on for a long time, had to tell all the family not to come down for dinner, about 5.30 I phoned the NHS line and they made an appointment for me to go up to the local hospital at 7.30pm to see an out of hours doctor who after listening to my symptoms, and examining me , agreed that it is the Gallbladder that was causing me so much pain, so I now have an appointment to see my own GP this afternoon, and am phoning up the consultant at the private hospital to get an eairler appiontment to talk over deatails about the Gallbladder. Well hopefully it can be sorted and I can get the rotten thing out and and I can get some relief.

Thanks for the photos Jane and Pat. My cousin had a Beagle that was an escape artist. Any opportunity and he was gone like the wind!! Her hubby got a bit of ribbing from his colleagues at times at times as the dog would be handed in at the local police station.........and he was a local policeman! lol
Pat what a fantastic photo your hubby got of the Robin. I would love to take a photo like that.

Welcome home Anne, With all that's gone on we haven't missed you !!! We have really :-D :-D :-D
I just got out of the shower, was towelling myself down, and my shins are both burnt.Vever tender. Put a load of after sun on, will do it again later. It's not as though I have been sitting around in the sun all afternoon, like some of you ;-) ;-) ;-)
X blood# factor on again till 9.00 so going to catch up on some info. that our dear MEL has found for me. What would we do without her.
Annx, I wish I could get hold of a cherry picker, but a ladder seems the only other option.
Going to try to load a few photo's, so look out.

I remember going to the Lido at Westward Ho! when I was little. There was also a natural pool for swimming in the rocks.Golly thinking about those days now, what wonderful times I had there. The only bad thing I can recall was wearing Flip Flops and stubbing my toes all the time :-S :-S..and them rubbing sore bits in between my toes.I have really happy memories from Westward Ho! My Nana or someone in the family had a beach hut there.Sadly those huts are no longer there.I do have some black and white pics of me at the hut.
David how are your ears now?And is your new home all done? I wonder how Liz is?Hopefully settling in nicely now.
