Hi All
Yes feeling much happier Jane that it's all finished,
we will have to take recorder etc over tomorrow as poor OH was outside straightning flagstones when he dropped one on his big toe, :-0 :-( it was not dropped from very high but still is painfull , I got him a bowl of cold water to stick his foot in and it hasn't swollen up very much, also made him a cup of tea which always helps, anyway 15 mins later he is back out there to finish the job, but doesn't feel like driving, there's no great rush anyway, will do it tomorrow,
weather muggy but wet,
Thought I would have a change of picture too, must have been about 5or 6 years old when this was taken :-)

I'm here again.
I lumbered this morning, took off 8 branches, had to have the big steps to get up there. All piled up on the front, to be cleared as and when.
Went down the pub at 12.30 watched Liverpool v Everton.. They opened at 7.30 this morning for the Rugby. They laid on a breakfast of Sausages, bacon, eggs, hash browns, beans, tomato's, black pudding, bread and butter. and two pints, all for a TENNER. It was still packed when I got down there at 12.45. And just as packed when I left.
Might go and cut the lawns later, if I feel like it. Ros is out clearing and planting the boarders, so had better go and see if she's allright.,

Afternoon all Hi I'm finely back
Ver*in man came to fix Modem that sits by the computer, we have a new modem now (it's a little black box with flashing lights shows you are connected to internet) another man will come and check the connection outside as the first man thinks the wires underground needs sorting out.
I am feeling a little better and managed to eat some toast and low fat cheese for lunch, Can still feel pain from the acid moniter in my chest, it is somehow glued to the inside of my asophagus wall (sp?) and should drop off when the 48 hours are up and the little recorder I keep by my side should shut off very soon We will hopefully take the recorder and a diary which I have filled in over to the hospital this evening, and as Jane has already mentioned I go back to see the consultant on the 31st October for my results.
I have Just looked down at recorder now 2.00 pm and it has stopped GREAT, :-D :-D

Hi Kim. I haven't played Scrabble in years.i think we still have a box somewhere.I will have to look it out. I hope this hot weather doesn't end in thunder. It is that hot ,that we don't even fancy any lunch!.Chris has decided not to cut the bottom hedge today,he has done enough in the garden this morning and is now sat with a nice cold beer. I keep going outside and then coming back in to sit by my friend the FAN.I can't believe it is October!!!!.I don't know where the last year has gone either. It's just whooshed by.I find it quite scary really to think how fast the years fly by now.
I worry that we haven't heard from Sheila.I hope she hasn't had another Heart Attack. It's not like her to be away from the thread for so long. I like to think that Liz and her OH are now happy in their new place .Fingers crossed the move went ahead without any last minute problems from that NFH.
Poor old Chester is wilting. How is Toby coping Mandy?
Did Ann say she was going today to the place she should have gone yesterday?

We've just had lunch and hubby's waiting for the dust to settle ,then he'll have a good hoover up .
When the little ones were here yesterday DIL stripped Katie down to her nappy and Chelsea just had her little knickers on ,i turned the fan on and they thought it great fun standing in front of it , we kept them inside ,shame really but it was so hot out side for them ,they are both so fair and would quickly burn in that sun.
I remember mum filling the tin bath outside with cold water in the summer ,we had great fun splashing about in it keeping cool, no paddling pools about in those days !!
We have some friends who have gone to Turkey for a fortnight ,bet they wished they had stayed here now and saved their money !!!
Hope the storm has gone over Kim so you catch the end of your film .

Hello everyone,
Just finished playing Scrabble and beat the old boy, now he's huffed off into the lounge to watch telly. Also he's unhappy as his beloved Collingwood Magpies - Aussie Rules team got beaten in the grand final today. I don't follow it, but I did watch today.
Miranda still away and Joel started back at cricket today. Where has the year gone to!!!
Hope Fiona is doing much better and the computer will be fixed soon. Shirl has been sending emails via Genes, but she says they are bouncing back. I think if you offered her any tommies at the moment, she would throw them at you Frank.
Jane thanks for your photo, most beautiful countryside in your area. No wonder Chester likes his walks. I always liked Creamy Soda as a kid, was my favourite.
Hope Liz is settling in and got away from the old place without too much bother. Hope the new owner doesn't have the same trouble with them.
Hi to Mandy, Mel, Pat, Ann and everyone else. We have just had a storm go through, so I might go and finish watching the movie I fell asleep during last night. Lights are flickering, so I'd better find myself a torch and not fall over this cat at my feet. Have a good day everyone.

Shame we can't just strip off to our pants like we did when we were little.( well we know FRANK does ;-) )I have just dug out the flimsiest sundress, which I look an absolute sight in.But I don't care,I have my shorts close by just in case someone calls.
Smoke still coming from that fire.It seems incredible that it is still smoldering after all this time.
Mandy I don't envy you with lots of dust today. In this dry hot weather it will be flying everywhere :-S
My niece has gone to Turkey for 4 days with some of her friends.Janice has had Finn and Amelia for 2 days, and now it is their Daddies turn for the weekend.I bet we are hotter here than Turkey right now.I see we are the same temp as Rome :-D I bet James will be sweating in his suit at the wedding :-S :-S

We're off out tonight for a birthday meal for hubby, its his birthday on Tuesday , so its out with sister and BIL tonight and Tuesday a meal with son and DIL and the little ones ,probably Chinese that night .

Still no Sheila or William !!
Hubby wants a drink ,if i can find him in the dust :-S :-S

Morning All,
Another scorcher today I think.
OH has to cut up the fallen trees today. He did have a bit of a bonfire last night with what he had already piled up.
It is just a thought Frank :-( did you take the photos to Conrad's at the weekend?? I have asked the Borrowers if you could have them back please?
Did'nt like it when I awoke this morning to a plain blue window. Told oh and he said he would put them back today!! I must admit that they did block all the gutters up on the bungalow with their leaves and we always had loads of leaves around the front of the house in the autumn. The wind comes mostly from the west here and they were on the west side. The new garage now stands out and it all looks very bare out there.
He was talking about making me a small veg patch out there at the back and moving the chickens a little further up the field but not too far for me to walk to when it's wet and rainy. I said he will have to put a strong fence all round it to keep the rabbits out.
I watched Strickly last night. Thought Anita Dobson was good.

Mandy there is a garden down in the village I would love to get a pic of .it is small ,but lots of pots of Geraniums,Fuchsias .The chap who lives there is a funny old Bu***r,and I haven't got the nerve to ask him if I can take a photo. It is so colourful but just an easy garden.I might see if I can get a sneaky pic lol I didn't see Alan Titchmarsh tonight. Chris's turn to walk Chester in the morning. My floors are disgusting so I think while he is out I will be having a hoover and floor washing session :-S
I gave Chester a good soaking with the hose earlier, and he now looks all fluffed up .He had a squirt of doggy deodorant after a rub down so smells quite ok now.Not that wet dog smell :-S :-S
Will say night night now and watch the rest of Strictly CD xx

Hope i sleep as well tonight ,it does seem a lot warmer so might be a restless one tonight .
