When OH got home looking sheepish, before I could say anything, he grinned and said 'WHATEVER YOU SAY, I AGREE' lol. Wise man!! lol, lol :-D :-D Anyway he is keen to come with me and drive me to Stathern in the morning so we are going early and he says he won't rush me as long as we are back in time for him to go to Matlock!!
I liked your misty pic Jane.......it must have been a nice walk before it got too hot this morning. It registered 32 degrees in the car this afternoon and was still 27 degrees after 6pm!! Supposed to be hotter tomorrow as well.
When we moved here nextdoor had a huge Willow tree that hung 25 feet across our garden. Luckily within 12 months they had it cut back but the wind still blew all the leaves off the rest onto our gravel and it was a daily job picking them up in the autumn. The first thing the new neighbour did was chop the whole thing down. Like us he was concerned about it's roots and how close to the bungalows they might be.
I just hope you have put your photos somewhere else Frank. It will be such a shame if you have lost them.

David I used to give a lot to people begging in the street .I even gave this one particular man my dog's coat and blanket ( as he had a dog and it was winter),plus buying him food.I then discovered he had a car and somewhere to live !!!!!!!.Now I am not so sure about giving so easily.(on the streets).
Mandy I slept like a log too last night but had some very strange dream that involved the 2 chaps that were in 'Men behaving Badly' lol.I wont divulge what the dream was about ;-) ;-) Dinner is just about ready now .I have got Chris grating the Parmesan as my grip is to weak for the grater :-|
Thinking of Liz today.I hope they managed to move without any trouble. Where is Sheila???????,and William?????.Anne must be due back very soon.

Pat,one of the saddest things I saw was a few years ago. It was in Northumberland Street Newcastle at the Haymarket end.
A big strong man, must have been 6" 3" and broad was standing with cap in hand singing.
He wasn't drunk,he was begging. Tears were running down his face as he sang. :-( :-(

I know when they cut down the big tree at the end of the old peoples complex next door to us ,our garden got so much more sun ,but it was strange to see the churchyard and people walking through , another good thing was we didn't get all the leaves from the tree in the garden .
I bet the Barbeque's will be out again this weekend !! It does seem strange that its hot but the evening is dark !!
Last night i was so tired after having the family here all day that i slept like a log until 5-30 ,never even got out for a wee ,most unusual for me, some nights i get out twice !!!

As I sit here cooling off after sweeping all the dead chuggypigs out of the garden loo(well it is indoors )but mainly used when people traipse in and out with wet /muddy feet,I got to thinking about when I was young and Janice just a toddler .On a day like this Mum would knock up a quick picnic and we would all go down to Plymbridge Wood where the River Plym ran through. There was one little bit that was like a mini beach and a deepish pool that I would swim in.It was lovely and I have such wonderful memories of that place.I doubt I would ever find it again though.

Trees all down and oh has gone to Rosemore to help with trees the man is raking down there that will fall across the road. OH is going to be on the road with a stop, go sign and Peter is going to pay him.
Have taken some photos and don't know if I like it now the trees are gone. It does let much more sunlight into the front of the bungalow though and our bedroom. I may have to shut the curtains in the bedroom sometimes now as we don't have nets and if people are walking the bak field they can see straight in.

Well it's final, I have THROWN OUT the old photo's.When we got back from shopping, I decided to sort everything out on my computer table and storeage racks. No sign of them. I have now resigned myself, that they are gone for good. What a terrible shame 70 years of my life in photo's gone for ever.I know I had the only photo's so no good asking the rest of the family. We heven't spoken for over two years :-) :-)
Going in the garden for an hour, Ros wants a bit of help with small plants in the boarder. Hope I don't fall ars# over head. into the flower bed :-D :-D :-D

Hi Everyone,
Kim I'm glad you don't have long to wait for your appointment. Sounds as if they are getting somewhere and it looks as if you will be dealt with quickly if you get the severe pain again. It must be awful for you at the moment just hanging on.
Poor Fiona too, hope her monitor soon moves to where it will be more comfortable. It sound like she will need to rest for a while too. Thanks for letting us know Jane.
Well, instead of being out taking pics I am stuck at home!! :-S We did a scrunched bead bracelet in class this morning which was fiddly but good, 7 of us on the course. I whizzed home after as OH wanted to set straight off for Stathern. I got home and his car wasn't there which was odd. Inside the front door was a note with profuse apologies!!!! lol He had forgotten he was doing a custody visit at 1 o'clock........messed the afternoon up good and proper, hasn't he as he will be back too late to go! He wanted to take me to the class and drop me off and collect me as well so we could be away quickly.......lucky I didn't take him up on the offer or I would have been stranded there as there is no bus!!! I better air the doghouse for when he gets home!! lol ;-)

Hello everyone just a quick hello as I am going to put myself on the couch.
Jane tests all done now, I see specialist on 10/10, but more blood results have reached my doctor after the hospital visit and he rang tonight - looks like they were filed away and not reported on. Not sure where all this is going. Talk of a surgeon being involved now and I'm to bypass the hospitals up here and go straight to Sydney if I have the severe pain.
Frank I hope you find those photos. I have lots missing and I can remember them, but my mother must have thrown them out.
Ann glad you are staying with the jewellery class - I did like what you had made.
Fiona hope you have recovered from your hospital trip.
Boy you are having a last blast of summer - sounds very hot over there. Keep cool.
Today was pleasant and I managed to get the washing done. Daughter is away so I managed to grab her sheets while I could, plus all the socks and underwear that I found under her bed.
I love these new profile photos, keep them coming. I did get Shirl's email and replied, but I haven't heard from her today. Hope Sheila is well, it has been a while since she was on here.
Bye for now. 10.20 pm EST

Just had a phone call from Fiona. She is unable to use the computer today as things have packed up.She will be back when the chap comes to fix things. She said that this monitor she had put in yesterday is painful, and she can just about sip milk.It should pass through naturally in 48 hours. She has to keep a record of every burp, feeling sick etc and will get results at the end of October.

My Dad was a "NUT BROWN" man. Rolled his own for as long as I can remember. Before that it was the old "PLUG" tobacco. use to cut bits off (like rope) rub in hands and smoke in a pipe. My first memory of smoking was pinching a bit of tobacco and a Rizla paper and a swan vesta. going up to the toilet and roll one uo and puff it out of the window. He caught me once, sat me down at the kitchen table and rolled me the BIGGEST FAG. I had seen. Made me smoke it and inhale. Was a sick as a Pig. Never put me off though.
We are just off to Tesc# for the weekend shop.
See you later.

Morning Frank and all I have been out for an early walk this morning before it gets too hot.The mist was so thick going down to Cranford in the car I could barely see a thing at times. I think I might pull a few weeds up out the front this morning, that will probably be enough exertion for the day :-D :-D
James will be setting of at Lunch time(for wedding tomorrow) and will be back on Sunday. Off for a bit of breakfast and a cuppa.
Fiona I hope you are ok after yesterday. Kim I seem to have got all confused as to when all your tests were/are.Is it today you are having more? Back in a while

Morning all,
Was up at six, looking for photo's. Still no luck
Sky as blue as can be, and the sun is burning off the dew.
Reminds me of a Joke. A girl feel asleep on the synagogue steps, and woke up with a heavy DEW on her. Think about it. :-D :-D :-D
Got some more information from my cousins wife in New Zealand regarding the Baker family, so will try to piece it together while the house is silent. NO T.V.

Evening Everyone,
I just thought after typing that.......wasn't there an advert that went 'Eveninks and morninks, we drink Warni*ks'?
Just looked at my old email account I hardly use now and there were 2 urgent emails from the same building society. They said someone had tried unsuccessfully to use my password to log on to my account and that for safety reasons I needed to reset my password and could I click on a link to confirm my details. Guess what, I haven't had an account with that building society for a few years and it certainly wasn't an on line account when I did!!!!! Phishing emails no doubt.....now both DELETED!! It makes me furious these greedy folk who try to trick us out of our hard earned cash. GGGRRRRR!!!! Watch out everyone......if I'd had an account with the building society I would have phoned them to check instead.
Jane, I agree, WDYTYA was very interesting last night! Amazing to find such important ancestors. I was interested in the conflict with the native indians as that cropped up in my book about the Quakers. Luckily for them, they helped the natives so they were mostly accepted by them.
The Drawing and Painting class has been cancelled as not enough interest, but I have joined the jewellery one which is on Friday mornings, so by Christmas I could be covered in 'BLING'. lol :-D
OH's dentist trip resulted in a filling needing doing!! :-S More expense as Frank would say. We then collected and took the chippings to FIL. We then went to Nuneaton and I got some new bras ( not Sadies... lol). OH spent some vouchers he had on a book.......since we went to see Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy he's got a taste for spy books! Then we went for a carvery and came home and wilted and watched a bit of tv.
Tomorrow after I have been to the class OH is taking me to Stathern near Melton to take some pics of the autumn trees. He went to a meeting there the other day and said it looked absolutely glorious ......we shall see. May have a light bite over that way somewhere too. Life of riley this week, but a shame not to enjoy this lovely weather.
Sorry you still haven't found your photos yet Frank. Maybe they will still turn up yet. Things can end up in the strangest places.
Mel, are those trees down safely yet? I bet it looks quite different now.
David, that was a very kind gesture of Ellen's to help bury the neighbour's poor puss cat.
Hope Fiona is home and tucked up in bed and that Liz is getting sorted at her new place and that Kim is feeling a bit better and that Shirl can get her computer sorted.
Nighty, night........xx
