I have'nt got an email Shirl. Oh wait a min was it from Shirley Hurt???? It cam eup in my spam box and I deleted it!!!! Shock horror....

I have just looked out the front and the smoke is moving nearer us.It is now low lying and is right across the poor horses in the field opposite :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S
I think I might have to shut my windows soon if it blows a bit more this way.

Phew! It is too hot to sit outside.James and Fitz had to put the canopy back on the gazebo to keep the sun off the food at lunch.I am now sat indoors with the fan blowing on me.Chester is driving me Bananas because I have just cooked a big chicken and it is cooling off in the kitchen.I does smell good :-D :-D

Fitz Mother rang twice while he was here..........Once to say she couldn't open her Prawn Cocktail for lunch................second call was to say she had managed it lol.Fitz was so embarrassed .He does have his work cut out with her :-S :-S

Have we all got this heat today?....The smoke from the fire is still going this afternoon !!,so I guess the fire brigade are still on watch there.That is 4 days now.

Oh what a day.!!

Conrad and Jan came about 10.30 this morning. The girls went off to have their nails done. Conrad set up the SCANNER. and showed me how to do it. He assures me it will get better, the more I use it. (Heard thet somewhere before) :-D :-D :-D :-D

I had dug out some old photo's to send, but can't find them. They are around somewhere. Ros hasn't touched them. Where can they be.???
Have sent some to New Zealand to my deceased cousins wife, who has loads of info of the Baker side of the family.

Ros, is cleaning the kichen windows inside and out, the sun has really showed them up. I will try to do the rest during the week.

Did not have a good night last night. Both legs twitching and aching. I suppose they are telling me to slow down. Been tottery on my feet today also. So no lumber jacking today.
Have cooked a load of Steak and Kidney. Ros will make a pie later, Pots, and veg allready done this morning. The smell is wonderful around the house.

Had lunch and oh is mowing the grass and I am still irioning.

it's warm here,but there is a wind thats is keeping me from sitting outside also there's no sun on our patio area. but still it's nice to see the sun.

Jane I'm due at the hospital for 11.15am, I have no idea when they will take me down to theatre though, I hope I don't have to go back for too many more tests now, I would really like all this over soon and I can look forward to building my self up and getting back to a normal diet for Christmas.

Internet keeps dropping out, so just wanted to wish Fiona all the best for tomorrow. Take plenty of reading material with you, hope it all goes well. Got my referral today for the surgeon so that is a relief.

Mel that will be a relief for you if a Tree Surgeon can do the high bits of the trees.It needs someone who knows what they are doing(not saying your OH doesn't)lol but you know what I mean.

Right must go and get cracking now.

Oh has just rung the local tree surgeon and he is coming to see the trees on Thursday at 4pm. If he can take them down to a height that oh can manage that would be great.

Tree report.

Nothing right down yet as OH could'nt find our Looooonnnngggg Ladder. We must have lent it to someone and not got it back!

He has taken off a lot of big branches and two trunks from the first one. The bonfire gets bigger!! He has built it over the tree trunks he took out by the garage. The last trunk on this first tree is leaning the other way to the first two and pointing a bit towards the new chicken run and the bungalow. He thinks he may have to get someone in to take it down. He is not getting any younger!! He stil thinks he can do things he could in his youth.

As I lay in bed this morning I took a couple of pics out the two windows in the bedroom. We had blazing sunshine and I did'nt have my glasses on so I don't know yet if they have come out.

I think OH is still looking to see if he can find the ladder!!!

Ann sorry to hear about your headache yesterday but as you say you can go another day when you feel 100%.

Poor Chris, it seems like yesterday was a washout for nearly all of us.

a lovely day here. plan to go and meet up with friends this morning, they will have their coffee and fruit tea for me. must take my crackers for 11.00 snack.

Daughter no2 is coming this afternoon to help with Sofia, she will have to look after Sofia tomorrow her self with the help of boyfriend as I expect to be still at the hospital, depends what time I am going down to theatre, last time I went down at 2.20 pm and had to stay in bed till 6 before they will let me go home.

right better go and organise my snack etc. Back later on this afternoon. Hope everyone has a nice day. :-D

Having trouble getting to the last pages this morning so haveing to post to get there.

A beautiful sunny morning here and I have to do ironing as OH out tonight and I have'nt done his shirts.

Worked on the order a bit yesterday but it was so hot up there. Put a couple of penstemons in and did some weeding. The whole border needs weeding badly. Cut back a lot of dead heads on the bunny rabbits. They always give a good show.

Did post, but lost the lot. It was Diana Rigg, Jane. Will have to try again later. Have a good day when you arise everyone.

David ,when ever I am asked about my family medical history ,I have to say I have no idea (because I am adopted)
But I have a few inklings now (since I found birth family).I had a sister who died from Ovarian Cancer (aged 40),a Brother who suddenly dropped dead( aged 30?),a sister who died from TB(aged 9)Five of us still going lol
