Afternoon All
Sunny day but windy, had a few rain showers but they did not last, need to keep busy, finding my self drawn to the TV when I'm on my own and there's a few bits of ironing to do, will probably go mad tomorrow before daughter no1 & Sofia come down and finish the lot.

Hope all goes well with your hospital tests kim, and they manage to see you again earlier than later,
I have been sorting out my small bag for Thursday when I return to hospital, last time I was there all day, it was boring lying there so this time i have packed a book and my wordsearch, they have a TV in every room but they are so old that the picture is not very good and
it hurt my eyes to conentrate,

Hello everyone, just popping in quickly. Read through your posts, but I didn't take it all in apart from wet walnuts. Thanks for the pics Maureen. I liked the little seat.

Hope Ann is feeling better for her trip. Pat when do you go to Paris??

Had the rest of my tests today and see a specialist later in October, but sooner if they can fit me in.

Picture was taken when I was eight and in 3rd grade. The new uniform was introduced that year, much better than the old beige thing they wore when I arrived at the school.

I tell you girls, rounder is good. I am down to a size 8 and losing weight by the week. Hang on to your curves. They keep you warm in winter!!!!

STAY SAFE everyone, especially around the trees, lol. Hope you all have a good day. Terrible rain has stopped for today, but due back tomorrow for a few more days. Garden has greened up, but this localised flooding is a worry.

Cheers for now. 9.31 pm EST

Morning flowers, !!

How the devil are you all this bright sunny morning. I am full of the joys on Spring. Had a good night sleep, and my bacon sarnie this morning.

I had another 70 bulbs turn up this morning. I have done a recount, and the total is 220 not 180.!!!

Thinking of making my own planters, from LOG ROLLS. I have a big sheet of thick plywood, which I could cut to make the bottoms, Nail the log ro, lls round the bottom, put in a support round the top, and there you go. A PLANTER. :-D :-D :-D Hope it is a easy as it sounds. :-S :-S :-S

We now have it confirmed, that Ros has Spinal Stenosis. It seems that people over the age of 50 are likely to get some form of it. So take care GIRLS. You don't know whats round the corner. We have found that when she is sitting on her" garden seat" and bent over, she is a lot more comfortable, rather than standing upright. I suppose it takes the pressure of the spine.

Think I may take a day off today from "LUMBER JACKING" Might pop to B & @ to price up the logs. and Ros needs some more plants for the pots under the fromt window. "MORE EXPENCE"

Am looking out of lounge window, and can't believe the amount of light we are now getting since I cut out the middle bush.

Morning All
Thank's Mel for the email.
I have just watched Twizzle on Youtube !.I felt like a little girl again lol.The woman's voice is hilarious .She sounds like the one who did Watch with Mother.
Just waiting for the bit of mist too clear and I think it will be a lovely day.
Pat my bath is too long to read in.My old one was just about right, but I just keep sliding down lol,and getting books wet.Hannah always read in the bath and I would often open the airing cupboard door to find a book drying out with curly pages :-| :-|

We used to have Koi,but I hated it when they were dying and gasping in the pond.
In the end we decided to fill it in and all the fish went next door. They have no doubt been gobbled up by the Heron :-S

Off to town now BBL

Morning All,

Jane and Frank I have pm'd you.

Very damp this morning and I would say a typical autuminal morning.

Washing has gone out on the line, hopefully it will dry.

Thanks for the info on the planter Frank.

Hope Ann has a good day today and manages the train trip and enjoys it without interuptions.

Frank Report 26 Sep 2011 23:16

Just of to bed for a read.

The planter came in kit form, loads of bits of wood with slots in.
Harvey bought it for a present. I put it togrether. Ros plants it out with purtuna's in the summer and pansies in Winter. When I next speak to Harvey I will ask where he got it.

My back and shoulders ache tonight. This is the time I wish I had a BATH. Where you can lay back in hot water.

Goodnight all

I seem to be ok this afternoon, so will probably go in the morning as we can always turn the car around and come back!! To think, there I was a few days ago more bothered about my knees and the stairs at the station. I'm taking my camera, but I bet the windows on the train will be mucky!! On the old trains you could slide the window down to get a clear view to take a pic.

I must admit I had never heard of wet walnuts until they were mentioned on here. lol They sound quite nice. I never watched Twizzle either.

Mandy I can just imagine your hubby saying that!! It is the sort of cheeky thing mine would say!!! lol.

Just looked up Twizzle.First on Tv !957.A living boy Doll who lived in a toyshop .I asked my sister if she remembered ,and she didn't.(too young)He didn't have stripy clothes. But did have the ability to extend his arms.So there is another Childhood Memory lol.(I don't think we have mentioned Twizzle before)

Jane

Jane Report 26 Sep 2011 19:10

Mel I think you might be right about Twizzle. Also did he not have stripy clothes?I don't know why it suddenly came to mind.It is strange how something pops in your head out of nowhere.

LOL Mel ......put Tit on Eba* !!!! ;-).I never knew about wet Walnuts until a few years ago ,and we had a French Market in town.I bought a bag of Walnuts and when I got home thought they must have gone off as they were wet lol.I took them back the next morning and it was explained to me .

Frank I do like that planter with your Pansies.Where did you get that?

Chris has just come in and said do "do you not think it is time to shut the Patio Door and all the windows " I think I would have them open all the time if I had my way lol.It will be a mild night tonight 13 degrees,so i will make sure our bedroom window is OPEN.Chris would have it shut :-S,and that just won't do .
