Morning Jane, Hope you have a nice weekend.
Had every intention of getting more branches of the tree this morning, but when I got up I felt I had been trampled by a heard of Elephants. So got showered and dressed.
Have spent ages trying to get this scanner to work. Will have to get neighbour in, but he works with computers all week so don't like to bother him at weekends. Conrad might be able to talk me through it. If not will have to wait till he comes down. Thats the trouble with being THICK
Very dull this morning, but warm. I think the sun will get through later.
Ros is off with her friend, at Morriso#s this morning. There are only a few things we need, but I bet she comes back with bags full of stuff.
Can someone resend the birthday list to me, I seem to have lost mine

Good Grief ,where is everyone today??I will be of to my Sisters hopefully in about an hour.Chris has got a bit held up at work as the fire brigade have had to be called as the alarm was saying there was smoke somewhere. It all seems fine thank goodnessThey had a big fire some years back when kids set light to a wheelie bin and pushed it up against the wall.It then set fire to the roof.I'm just pleased it is nothing like that again.
I'll be back tonight.Have a good day everyone.

hi All we did go shopping a bit earlier than usual, and I'm glad we did as by the time 8.00 came round it was almost dark and cold, the nights are fairly drawing in.
Planning a trip up to Mat*lan tomorrow to buy a new winters jacket, I got a voucher for my birthday from them. I was tyding up my winter wardrobe today and because I have lost weight through the low fat diet I am on because of my stomach my brown winter Jacket (SIZE 10) is really big on me so I need to replace it with a jacket (SIZE 8).
Jane I have a bottle of water at my bedside all the time, it's great to have a drink in the middle of the night incase I wake up suffering from stomach pain due to the acid reflux, it's the best way to dilute the acid. that and my Gavi*con.
happy Birthday to Ellen

I'm off to bed now with my book BB tomorow night ,night xxxxxxxxxxxx

Ooh Mandy I have the same trouble with my thumbs. Some days they are really painful, and not a lot of strength for gripping..I find if I have a long car drive gripping the steering wheel make them hurt and i'm always waggling my thumbs around lol. David your accident was obviously such a bad one you were lucky to have come out of it as well as you have. Dinner is nearly ready here and my tummy is rumbling .

Went out to lunch at the garden center and bought a new fish tank. Cost me £50 and oh said think how many fish you could have bought for that. Still they are all in it now and look quite happy. I bought them a packet of daphnea and watched them eat it. Now I have another time waster in the lounge. I shall keep looking at them to make sure they are alright. We set up the old airater(sp) and oh got it to work a bit better than is was when we first plugged it in and turned it on. We used the old under gravel filter but had to cut a bit off the pipe as this tank is'nt as tall as the old one. It also has a filter on the side and a llight. I need a bit more weed in there but that will have to wait till tomorrow.
Just going to do a sandwich now and have a sit down.

The 1994 RTA resulted in anong other things the fracture of my right pubic rami anterior and posterior, and the fracture of my left pubic rami anterior and posterior.
All the base of my pelvic bowl
The area from scrotum to bum was in agony for months. Getting back on my feet entailed walking with crutches and later sticks. All my bodies weight at every step went through the site of these fractures.
I'd always thought in recent years that the hip pain was caused by gammy knees.
The specialist said the opposite is true. He could tell from my gait that the R leg was afflicted. Apparently the foot turns out. Theoretically,if I walked far enough I'd walk full circle.
Thank GOD I can still stand and walk, something I thought I'd never do again back in 1994

What a busy girl I have been.I didn't dare turn pooter on when I got in otherwise ~I would never have (finally ) finished that ironing. Hair done and no more grey (for now) .It was really in need of doing.I think I last had the colour done in July !! Us ladies have to pay a fortune to get our hair done don't we.Not fair me thinks
I am looking forward to tomorrow and seeing my Sister and everyone.Especially Amelia .Apparently she is quite a character. I must buy a massive bouquet in the morning to take. Can't go empty handed to a new house.I did send a garden centre voucher as a pressy when they moved in as I know they wanted to buy a new tree.
My lovely BIL went on a cycling trip to Belgium last week with a small group of friends. When he got off the Ferry back in Dover he had to stop at the side of the road somewhere to sort his bike out.Little did he know he left his panniers on the verge.WITH EVERYTHING in them.Passport, driving license, wallet, with bank cards etc,and his specs. So a major disaster.Janice told me on the quiet so we don't mention it tomorrow.I think the poor man feels so stupid. He has had a little problem with memory since he had a tiny stroke a couple of years back. I must remember my camera.
So Ann what are your earrings and necklace like??Looks like the class may continue if all 8 of you sign up.
I treated myself to a new top while I was in town.it is a lovely shade of purple and is a tunic styled one,so covers my bum nicely

Annx, Ros goes to the hairdressers for a perm, then returns the next week for her Blond highlights. God only knows what it all costs, I dare nor ask But it's her money, so does as she likes with it.
I have prepared dinner while Ros is out. Pork Loin steaks, Roasted parsnips, sweet potato and ordinary potato. Sprouting Broc, and Runner beans, I have made a Onion and Mushroom sauce with cream to go with it and Apple rings to be roasted with the loin.
I think after all my hard graft, I will be allowed out for a PINT tonight. I will go anyway.
Going for a shower and shave, then will put dinner on for about 6/6.30pm.
See you later.

Afternoon All,
Enjoyed my class this morning and we all made a necklace and earrings. Eight of us today and most want to sign up.
Oh Mel, what a DISARSTER DARLING!! Why do you need to buy another tank? You can get special aquarium sealant and do a repair. I had a tank once that would leak until about 6 inches of water were in it and then the weight seemed to seal it and it was ok as you filled up the rest. How nice to have your own baby fish! Did you put some eggs in your reflecting pools?
I can just picture your hens gobbling up the new tasty grass. I imagine they will be handier to 'do' at the back of the bungalow over the winter too.
Frank, Ros is multi talented isn't she and does some great work for the scout fund.
I am aching all over today and throat is worse. I wanted to get on in the garden like you Mandy, but decided to flop on the bed for a bit instead. Just got settled and neighbour over the road has had trees and shrubs cut down/back this morning. Now they have started the shredder up so I'm here now where it is quieter!! lol
Hope Jane gets on ok with the 'basin' at the hairdressers today. I get lowlights done Patricia, but it costs a bomb........even for a half head it is 3 figures with a cut and finish as well. Sometimes I wonder whether to stay white!!!!

"I'm a lumberjack & I'm O.K.." What song was that and who sang it. Must go on google
I'm finished for today. Cleared another three barrow loads of branches, All this walking had made my left knee ache. Thats the one I had an operation on in 2003. Took all the cartlidge out and cleaned it out. Hope I don't start to suffer with that again. That was the first thing that happened to make me retire. I worked on a Garage sales site, and walked about 5 miles a day. One morning I just collapsed in a heap, the knee had seased up. Couldn't continue at work.
Has been a smashing day so far, warm and sunny.
Ros has one of her fund raising meeting this afternoon for the scouts. She has been knitting HATS, JUMPERS for children, and decorating xmas balls for christmas trees. She's a cleaver old whatsit. Mel, you remind me of that song "There's a hole in my bucket dear lisa" I don't think I would have checked the tank either. Couldn't you put a big plactis liner bag in it, it would save the expence of a new tank.
Don't over do it out in the garden, Mandy, don't want you with a bad back.

What colour hair did you have this time Jane "PINK"
