I beg your pardon sir! Wet legs indeed! Actually I have just got them wet again by tipping all the rain water out of the canopy .There were gallons.I have to use an old walking stick to push it all out and then try and stand well back lol

I know most of the Dr's at the Woodlands do the NHS stuff and then have their Private Work separately .I think this is why they have late appointments.Chris would love the extra money Frank but not the hours :-S :-S.He has had enough now and really is ready to retire.

David I think you must maybe produce a lot of ear wax. :-S.It's just normal and keeps the inner bits of the ears clear of dirt etc.Are you using warm Olive Oil to soften it?

Maureen Report 26 Aug 2011 17:52

I think the 6 month check ups were so the dentist got more money, you can have a check whenever you want, I've extended mine to 9 months, although they still send a reminder after 6, I was going to do a yearly one but thought if I leave it that long I would probably lose my courage ......

Don't know why some people have more trouble than others with wax, David, doesn't seem to be any reason for it. I've never had my ears syringed, spoken too soon now haven't I.

Just going to have a pizza and salad tonight. Shall watch Miranda later, wasn't a fan of hers at first but there are some laugh out loud moments in her show. What do others think of WDYTYA, I'd give it a QI up till now, sounds like I'm talking in code

Not like me to feel the cold, but I put on some jogging bottoms this morning. Just half an hour ago we put the heating on. It's taken the damp feel out of the air.

Ros has bought her birthday present allready (not till 19th Sept) 3 pairs of ear rings on one of her jewellery channels. Nothing like being ahead of yourself. I have been trying to think of what she might want.

Fiona, It just goes to show how these doctors who are paid privately, get on with appointments. At the rate they charge, they would see you at 10pm Bet Chris would like their hours and salary. But I must admit, we do very well with the local hospital on the NHS.

Mandy you are doing well with your collection, also the prices you are getting them for.

We can't decide what to eat tonight, will leave it to Ros to decide later. I can pop something in the Micro wave to thaw it. Provided she dosen't want a roast. :-D :-D :-D

Where's WET LEGS then still sitting by the FAN ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) cooling off.

Maureen ,have a great weekend!.I'm sure the weather will improve :-D

Anne it has rained just about all day here ,but I think it has stopped now.No heating on here Phew! I have never heard of 9 month checks for the Dentist .I have always had 6monthly.I think I would prefer 9 though lol

Hello Gt Grandmother Mary :-D.Mandy where do you keep all your cottages?

Oh Sheila you do sound down in the dumps.Surely there must be a Doctor available if you need to see one.Touch wood I don't get Sinus trouble ,but I know it is blooming awful.
What are Donnie and Beryl like!!!!.I do enjoy your tales of them.
I hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.Good job Michelle is able to look after Matt for you while you feel poorly.

I spoke too soon again. It's started raining again :-S.I just realised I have the big windows open upstairs.I bet the windowsills are soaked.
Better go and check I think.

Frank, did Ros get the ring? What time and where is the wedding on Sunday? I'm not being nosey ;-)

Went for second attempted ear syringe.
Differant nurse on.She said the canals were still full of hard wax.
Said trying to syringe hardened wax might perforate drum, would most certainly hurt.
Ive to go back next Friday.
What causes ear blockage? :-S

It's pouring with rain outside and it feels so cold, think we will have the heating on later. All good for both of us at the dentist and no need to go back for 9 months.
I am cooking an apple crumble with custard for tea( so much for the diet) Yesterday I made a veg lasagne which was enough for 4 so we will finish that with homemade chips and peas.
Fiona Good to know that you are feeling ok and that the Dr will see you soon.

Sheila So sorry to hear of your troubles and this dreadful weather will do nothing to cheer you, do keep your chin up

Better go back to the kitchen :-) :-)

Lucky you Mandy, I wish I had photos of gt.grandparents. Can't make her out too clearly, what has she got on her lap.

Poor you Sheila, you do sound very down, mind you, I'd probably feel the same with blocked sinuses. Wouldn't crying make it worse, I know when I cry it blocks my nose and gives me a headache. You should have joined your OH for a sing song, singing always cheers me up.

Great to hear all went well yesterday Fiona, you must have felt the love <3
so much better when they knock you out and you don't know anything about it, I wish they would do that when I have to go for colonoscopy.

Are you feeling better today Kim?

Absolutely bucketing down with rain hope it gets better for the weekend I'm off to stay with daughter in Chessington while her partner is away for a couple of days. Looking forward to spending time with baby Harry.

Thanks Mel that's very kind of you offering to send me the cottage , i will soon have to get hubby to put a shelf up to hold them all.

Frank, its fifteen Lilliput now !! i would really like the new one of Bishop Bonners Cottage here in town ,i can see the end of the cottage from my kitchen window , think i'll drop a few hints for Christmas , mind you with hubby it will go in one ear and out the other LOL

Sheila, you do sound very down at the moment , hope you'll soon be feeling better .

My word Fiona, that was quick !!! that's going private ,no waiting about .
I always breath a sigh of relief after the little ones have gone ,i do so love them coming, but they are so lively and into everything ,how do people manage to have little ones late in life , must be so tiring .

Oh my Shielia, You do sound bad. I would get down to the chemist, to see if he can give you something.. Thats the trouble taking someone elses medicines. They don't always work for other people.

Been raining again here and turned colder. Think I will have to put some troursers on.

Soup sounds nice Anne, I think I might open a tin for lunch.

Ros is going to call at the jewellers to see if her ring is ready. As they said it would be done for this weekend.

Hi Everyone Just popped in before lunch.Am making celery soup and it is almost ready. Early lunch as we are off to the dentist this afternoon for check ups.It is still dry here but looks as though it might rain at any moment.
Be back later

Fiona Glad you did not suffer yesterday

Annx Report 26 Aug 2011 12:04

That's BRILLIANT Fiona. I'm glad they put you out for it. I know I would have wanted that too. Now you can relax a bit today without having it on your mind.

Sheila, you do sound very down. Hopefully that tablet is wearing off now and you will feel a bit better then. A heavy headcold is very unpleasant especially when your sinuses are affected. I wonder if the chemist could suggest something that might help.

Donnie and Beryl are a scream aren't they. I bet the posh lady was surprised someone with all those studs was holding the door open for her!! lol The next thing April will be saying is 'awesome' I hate that phrase as well.

Yes, Jane, I have got soooooo much done this morning without him in the way and distracting me!!! lol Bless him, he's lovely really and I wouldn't swap him!! He just rang from the hospital to say his mum's BP was 190/100!!! very high. She is on tablets for it, but he thinks she is just anxious being out of her comfort zone. They have such a rigid daily routine, any straying from it gets them agitated anyway. He said she just has to have blood tests now, but it is hard keeping them on track.......nattering to everybody instead of noting their turn or listening!! lol He said to be ready to go out for a coffee and bite to eat when he gets back!!

I have caught up with lots of paperwork and managed to book to see the Pitmen Painters that Anne saw a while ago.

I hate wet jeans too.......lucky Chester doesn't have to bother about his. lol How horrid it was when you got soaked out on your bike.

Sheila

Sheila Report 26 Aug 2011 10:58

Morning All
On a very wet day .We haven't had this amount of rain for some time. The front of my jeans are soaking from where all the rain dripped down the front of my jacket.Quick walk today lol
I am going to Tes** in a bit as I have collected enough coupons to get a couple of really good stainless steel pans.10 coupons plus 70% of each one.

Hi Teresa nice to 'see' you again.I remember all that Hoo Haa when you were moving. At least you are all settled in now. It is a heck of a business this moving lark.

Fiona that was good that you knew nothing during your endoscopy, and you don't feel to exhausted.Hopefully results will come back quickly.

Mel ,I hope the weather clears up for the dog show.I think the weather is supposed to improve for the weekend.

Ann you have a bit of peace and quiet for a while then :-D :-D

I am going to have to change these Jeans the wet legs are uncomfortable :-S
Kim take it easy girl and let your pills do the biz .

Hi everyone can somebody cheer me up I took a sinus tablet last night that somebody gave me and its made me feel so ill and depressed I feel like my head is about to burst and keep crying I just do not know what to do with myself. My ears feel funny also. The doctor is away.Being bank holiday nobody is interested.

I feel like I am going mad and it did not help that Mohsen let Michelle down again. he just raises her hopes and dashes them. I knew he would not come for her birthday. No planes he said
Kim are you in pain again. What is wrong with the lovely Fiona. I hope everyone feels better soon.
Maureen thank you and Jane for your good thoughts over my cold a cold I can stand but not these blocked sinuses I cant think straight and I just cry and cry. I dont know what it was my neighbour gave me but it made my nose run and I was sneezing my head off and now I am bunged up dizzy
and tearful.Anti biotics do the same thing.
Jane that is awful about the nurse. what a shame.
I love trains but not travelling backwards it makes my headache.
But whenever I go on a train somebodies sat in my seat even though I have a ticket. I once fell down the stairs on a bus Me and Beryl were acting silly and I went down two stairs instead of one being clever and the bus jolted and I ended up sat on the bottom step with my skirt everywhere some lads on the long seat were making comments about seing my knickers.I remember one lad said to Beryl fancy a night out duckie and she said I like a man not a shirt button meanwhile I was in pain with a sore bottom. We got chased round town by those lads. Beryl loved that.
I used to fancy myself when young if I looked nice and would stand up to go down the stairs thinking all the men were looking at me. They wernt of course but you know how you are when young.
I noticed Donnie was very white and said to him how come you are not brown and he said Sheil I am allergic to the sun.I went for a spray tan but the women took the mickie out my body when standing in the booth in my fig leaf. One said I looked like a stick insect. I said oooh how mean you dont but was having a laugh except I like young Donnie I see what Beryl sees in him or doesnt see in him in her case. He is so droll and dry and funny. A real posh women came in the shop yesterday and Donnie opened the door for her when she was going out. She said thank you young man in a posh voice and he said thats ok old fruit anytime. He just makes me laugh. my husband is convinced Donnie fancies him he had his arm round Leslie and said hows me old mate. Les kind of cringed
said fine aand disapeared for the rest of the day. Donnies studs had increased four in his nose one in his lip and some where I cannot mention. I said to Beryl goodness help you if you get stuck up on one of those. I said how do you manage to live together you have nothing in common she said he makes a nice black pudding sarni. They were spikes and looked nasty it cannot be very healthy. No wonder Donnie looks brain drained.

.
My sinus is so blocked I just do not know what to do with myself. My head feels really weird and crying relieves it but I cannot go around crying all day. it is raining so I cannot go and take the dogs out.

I have baby Mat but Michelle said she would look after him.
Jess Ryan and April are enjoying New York. .They went out to Vermont in New England to visit Ryans parents. Mats little chubby cheeks make me pinch them poor mite.

April phoned last night and she told me cheer up nannie I am missing you which was nice.Ryan was saying April move your fanny up here it means something different she said have to go I have to move my fanny
quick which made me laugh shes getting so American she keeps saying
have a nice day and way ya go kid. And sure great. its really weird.
I need a holiday .I was going down to Western for some seaair Jane not just to get Beryl and Donnie. They are back now anyway and I was presented with a tee shirt two hands clutching a bosom from Donnie.
Beryl brought me something that looks like a cupie doll lamp reminded me of my childchood and the cupie dolls at the faIr Cheap and cheerful
but its the thought that counts
I hope Pat is enjoying Western there is not a lot there really they did up the pier after it burnt down.Sophia is not well either shes had a stomach upset since she stuffed that awful lamb broth .I had to listen to how her couson Rudolph married a countess and ran away to Germany with all her family treasures yesterday. There was a photo and it looked like one of those real old photoes from the early films She was in a low waisted dress with feathers and a headband. He had a big moustache and he was kneeling down in front of her saying what I wonder. Me and Shell were making things up yesterday.Shell said he was saying I wonder wheres she keeps her diamonds hope she says yes. I think he was saying something like nearly got you where I want you to himself.

Arizona is the grand canyon I have flown over that in a small plane and it was very scary when I went to Kansas for a holiday. My cousons brother in law lived there Everett .I remember leaving my stomach somewhere .But it was a wonderful experience.

I am glad Ross is feeling better now.

Liz i have moved loads loads of times I remember being so thrilled at moving into one house and the agent sold it to somebody else because we could not sell our place the people changed there mind about our house .I was broken up and estate solicitors and agents are the worse at keeping you waiting best of luck six moves in all and only two were smooth sailing for us.

i wish we could sell our house its so large and I hate empty rooms.
I am glad of the shop sometimes but feel like screaming today.
Well now everyone knows how depressed and fed up and ill I feel will go and depress my husband who is singing round the house Oh what a beautiful morning and its raining cats and dogs. I have just got a cup of tea.Have a nice day everyone.

Kim dont take too many pain killers hate you to feel like I do today.

Kim how are you doing out there my nephew phoned he is not happy at the moment he left his wife and now cannot see his daughter what does he expect. Emily is such a cute girl also so grown up for her age when she came not like our little ones. Not long ago they took her on holiday to Mexico and she was nearly kidnapped. A man in a car stopped and tried to pull Emily into it and she bit his hand and got away. They take Emily to the most strange places it was Peru last year .My friend Annies been there and said it was the last place she would take a child.
Annies going to the swiss alps in a week she is opening a sports centre
with her friend Hugo Zapplander and Roger Federer is there. lucky thing
she takes it all in her stride. Skies like a trooper and theres me could not even stand up when I went a long time ago. I managed one run and sat down.Decided it was too wet and cold for me. I ached for a week afterwards but loved the evening sing songs and trhe shops.

Frank Report 26 Aug 2011 10:43

Now Now David, Didn't we all, :-) :-) :-) That was part of GROWING UP .

Kim, I hope the pain killers give you a bit of relief, and please rest when you need too.

I keep promising myself, that I will spend a day on the bus. Could try to get to Uppingham, and get Conrad to pick me up, that would give him a surprice, Someone has done the Lands End to John O groates on the bus pass. Don't know how long it took. Sore BUM after that trip :-D :-D :-D

Mandy, the way youi are going you will need a seperate room for all your cottages. How many do you have now ???

Liz, Have you had a chance to speak to Sol. today.?? Hope things move along soon. Such a pain. You would think with all the modern technology, they wouldn't need to keep sending things through the post !!!But thats where to top up their fees.

I wonder if we will hear from Fiona today, I hope she had a good nights rest, and is feeling more relaxed this morning.

Ros had to be at the hairdressers for 8.45am this morning, couldn't get in for tomorrow so, will have to look after it herself for the wedding on Sunday.

Had a lot of rain in the night, Now damp and misserable, Don't think there will be much improvement this morning.

Fiona Report 26 Aug 2011 10:36

Morning All
I'm here safe and sound, and not as tired as I thought I would be.
Thankyou to everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes.

Yesterday seemed to drag on and on all that waiting till things started to happen which made my nerves worse.
We left home at 10.00am and arrived at the hospital 3/4 hour later. then handed in my papers at reception and sat in the waiting area till my name was called.
Then went to the changing room to change into a hospital gown and waited till a doctor came for my Ultrascan which went ok and only lasted about 20mins.
Then OH & I were taken upstairs to the wards where we had are own room with bathroom & TV. waited another 10 mins and a nurse came in and took my temp & blood presure. then was told my time at theatre was booked for 2.15 that ment we had a good couple of hours to wait, :-( by this time I was really neeeding a drink of water , but not allowed of course. hadn't eaten since 8.00am.
We spent the time watching the tv while nurses, anethetist and Doctor came to visit. explaing what would happed before, during and after my procedure. they were running 15 mins late but finely about 2.20 I was taken down to theatre, OH went for a sandwhich & a cup of tea, I was put to sleep (much to my relief lol) :-D and then woke up in the recovery room about 3/4 hour later, not knowing about anthing that had happened,
after they took my temp and blood preasure again I was taken back to my room and had to stay in bed till the doctor had checked that I was ok, and I had eaten my toast and tea,
Dr said all went well and hopefully he will know the results soon and send me another appointment to visit him and tell me whats going on.
Thankgoodness its all over.
