Fiona I hope you feel less tired today.Have you sunshine? Maybe if you do you you could have a nice relaxing day in the garden.
Mandy a lot has gone back in the garage lol but it is all sorted and tidy now.I can actually get around in there.James has the job of going to the tip at some point. Righty Ho! I think it is time for a coffee .Ta Ra .

Evening everyone,
We've all had a lovely day at the Zoo, weather was good not to much sun which made it comfortable for walking round ,i think the monkeys were the best for me and the Giraffe's , no one got lost this time !!!!! On the way home ,i was driving and some thing bit or stung me on my side , just round from my shoulder blade , i gave it a rub and what ever it was bit me again , it has come up as round as a tea cup !!! with the two bites inside the round mark , hubby has rubbed some cream on to see if will ease the stinging .
Nice for you get out for a while Fiona , a change of scenery does you good , sorry to hear about your neighbor ,very sad .
How much has been put back in the garage then Jane? lol
Think i'll sleep like a log tonight , we're off to the coast tomorrow , last day out then hubby will be busy for a few weeks working .

Hi everyone, I was very tired yesterday. and OH took me out in the car, for a change of scenery. we went for a drive up to Sterling and we sat for a while enjoying the countryside,
Today, we went to B&Q , OH wanted a new padlock for the garden shed he has just put up. and we bought a couple of plants for a pot in the kitchen, one of our next door neighbours has just been round to tell me that an elderly man who used to live next door to us and moved away 4 years ago is now in hospital, he has dementia and suspected lung cancer, he actually lives in the same care home as my dad was in, But his wife is on holidayat the moment in Germany visiting the daughter but they are due to fly back to Scotland tomorrow.

Sheila,(not being rude or anything) but it sounds as though Beryl and Donnie can find their own way home without you having to go down there.I think they may be playing on your good nature.I think you will have enough on your plate with having the baby and that pain.Beryl and Donnie are old enough to get themselves home!!.There! that is me with my bossy hat on ;-)
Oh Shirl it must be hard for you with your son.I think those drugs are one antidepressant and one for the Parkinsons......Just been seen to !!!!!! means a slightly different thing here Shirl ;-) ;-)........wink wink ,nudge nudge, say no more lol
I have just turfed out an old biscuit tin of photos (to do with Chris).I think I may have found a pic of his Mum.She died when he was about 3 or 4 .It is a very touchy thing talking about his past .I did find out what his Mum's name was on ancest**.He had no idea :-S.I think I will leave it now as I don't want to rake up bad memories for him

Afternoon all,
Went round the local at lunchtime for a couple of pints. We had lunch about 2pm then went down to Rutland water for a walk.I think half of Leicester were there. We got Ros in the wheelchair and took turns pushing her around. We have been back about an hour, had a nice cup of tea, and now sitting out on the decking watching the fish in the pond.
It's now turned very cloudy and STICKY. I don't think it will to long before it rains.
I can just see Chris. throwing things out and you putting them back :-D :-D :-Just looked up to the sky. There are hundreds of seagulls, making their way back to Runland water to roost for the night.
Started to rain, so they are coming in now.

My injury was nothing to one Dad once had. He was working night shift on an open cast coal site at Bedlington Northumberland about 50 years ago. On that shift he was a greaser. He was climbed up the jib of a digger greasing the drag chain and the wheels it ran over. Another operative climbed into the machine and started it up !! The chain ran over the back of his left hand and took his fore finger and the first two joints of the next finger clean off. He was lucky he didn't lose his arm.

Have given up trying to read the threads on this today it keeps shooting all over the shop. I was going away but but my car seemed to get a flat wheel and could not be bothered to get it changed having a really bad pain on my scalp just above my neck .I think it is arthretic or something anyway it hurts so will sort things out tomorrow.. One never knows what you are going to wake up with when you get to my age I said that to my daughter and she said a nice man would be nice. I said I have your dad and she just laughed.
Ashley my son is at Bellmont prison chasing the rioters around .2,000 were arrested loads sent to Blakenhurst Ashleys prison but now he is in London. Being born in London he does have a friend there and is staying with him. I think its a nasty prison though.I am worried.
Beryl phoned she sounded full of cold blamed poor Donnie. He made her go swimming at 6am one morning . I said to him are you having a nice time and he made me laugh he said well I love donkeys . I said I meant with Beryl and he said Ya well I said I love Donkeys. If my problem is still bad they will be coming back by train. How did Ros get on with the horrid taste Frank. I woke up with the most awful metallic taste yesterday morning with the pain my throat hurt also and I think was the tablets that is long lasting to boost my metaformin its a little tiny tablet. Little Mat is due soon I hope I am ok by then. Well will go and start tea its stuffed marrow my ho was given two large ones .Not in the mood really my pain is painful and in a annoying place. I move and it jars and makes me jump

It was in a box still with the dry cleaners cover on !!.I know she won't wear it again ,but even so she could sell it.Another thing was an old sewing table of Aunty Betty's.it's pretty rubbish but I can't let that go.I almost had to turn on the tears lol.So that is still safe(phew).I wonder what else I will find him trying to chuck??

Hello All. I'm late today. Not because I had a lie in,but have been over to Market Harborough to check the blasted house. It's a pain now as I only need to pick any post and make sure all is secure, and it takes just 2 ticks.I wouldn't mind so much if it was just around the corner. KIm I'm sorry you are having a bad day,and hope you pick up again soon.
I remember when we went on trips to Paignton Zoo with school. We would all be singing 'We're all going to the Zoo tomorrow now ,zoo ,tomorrow now zoo tomorrow now'.Is that the same song that you have mentioned Frank? I always remember the poor Polar Bear there who went mad as he was in such a small enclosure .He would just stand there and rock his body side to side. Not good :-S Frank it sounds like having the weekend away is doing you both good.
David ,you were lucky to have kept that finger.I will think of that next time a sausage bursts :-D
Mel I haven't been to Tavi in a long while.I think the last timeI went was with Mum and Aunty Betty and we had Tea in the Bedford Hotel.
It is hot and humid here.Rain in the night I think ,but none today . I have roast beef and things all cooking right now.It doesn't half smell good.
Ann did you send me any pics ,or are they the ones I have seen before?
Chris it attacking the Garage!!!!!!!.I am staying well out of the way (like your FIL should have Ann lol) I think is going to put Hannahs table up now it hasn't sold.Cover it in tarpaulin and stack things underneath and on top!.We literally can't move in there at the moment. Mandy will be having a lovely day today, and I bet the children will be all excited seeing all the strange and wonderful animals and birds. Must go and turn the spuds now.
Fiona I hope you are alright.

Morning All,
Good that you are enjoying your weekend Frank and that Ros is eating a bit too.
Sun is out here and it looks quite promising for another nice day.
One of oh's sisters rang this morning as she is coming down to Devon in Sept. They have booked a cottage at Tavistock for a week with an indoor pool which will be ideal for their dau.
David that must have been some injury you got with the sledge hammer. How frightening :-S
No no Fiona yesterday, perhaps she is busy but I do hope she is ok.
Thanks for the lovely pics Ann you are a clever girl to do all that painting.
Off to wash my hair now while oh is out ringing.
Love to Kim hope you feel better tomorrow.

Morning one and all,
Mandy will by singing "I'm going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, how about you, you, you.
Kim, I thought I had missed something, and that you had fallen out with everyone HELL TO :-D :-D :-D :-D
Ros is the Rose expert. she always goes round deheading, and trimming, where she she's shoots that shouldn't be there.
Conrad has got a big free range chicken for lunch today. He has prepared it ready for the oven, just got the veg to do.
I couldn't watch the X factor last night" trash". so I went in the conservatory and watched a nature film on channel 4. with a bottle of RED. I can see myself doing this when I get home also.
Ros is sitting on the reclinner chair, being spoilt by Conrad, getting her some cerial with warm milk.!!! good sign she on the mend.
Had a lot of thunder and lighting this morning, with rain thrown in, bit freesher now but very overcast.

Morning everyone (afternoon),
Horrid day here, continuation of bad weather, but not as windy. Woke up feeling so ill, lower abdo pain right through to my back. Looking so pale and it's come out of the blue!!!! Feel like I've been slogged by a huge fist. So if my post sounds dippy, that's because it is.
On a different computer, a little faster than my usual one, but same keyboard. Keith took the other for repairs up to Doug (Keith said he looks super fit and well). I started to have withdrawal symptoms with it - had to look for things today, plenty of washing to fold and dishes to wipe, even read the papers. Couldn't settle to watch tv at that time of day. Addicted I am!!!
Ann wonderful photos of all the carriages, they take you back in time. Thanks for sending them. Yes, changed my photo - I'm scaling fish on the balcony at Coogee while my first OH took the photo; didn't want to get his hands smelly :-( Tiny scales, can't remember what sort of fish, but then I find out later you don't need to scale that particular type :-S
Pat enjoy your time in W. Super Mare. I had you away for 4 weeks, you wish :-)
Mandy hope the weather is sunny for your trip to the zoo, enjoy your day. Is Toby more active in the cooler weather?
Need to list a few more bits and pieces on e-Bay. Several items did not sell last time. Getting Keith to make me a tapioca pudding for tea as I don't feel like anything too solid.
Hell to Jane, Fiona, Mel, Shirl, Sheila, Anne, Liz and everyone else when you rise. Have a good day. And of course, Frank and Ros - good that you were able to make the trip.
BBL I hope. 5.31 pm EST

Hope you have a good time at the zoo tomorrow Mandy. I love to see the baby animals, bet you will have a lovely time.
Shirl, I wonder where she gets her canniness from!!!!! lol
OH came home from the match holding his head in despair. He took his friend and FIL today. His friend has problems and needs to use a frame to walk. OH arranged to move the car to the nearest exit after to save the chap walking so far. Well, FIL had other ideas!!! OH moved the car as planned, but FIL had taken the poor chap right up the other end to where they usually walk out so they had to walk all the way back!! Then when they got to the car, FIL was swinging car doors open in the chap's way. OH told him to get in the car in the end (out of the way!!) but he just ignored him!! When my knees were really bad I would open the car door just wide enough for me to use it to balance while I got in. FIL would stride over, grab the door and swing it wide open nearly pulling me off my feet at times. MIL was always telling him to leave it!! I wonder what will happen next time OH takes them!! lol
Hope Fiona is ok, haven't heard from her today.
Sleep tight everyone.....night, night.

Talking of sledge hammers. Many years ago I was helping Dad put up some fencing. We were putting 4x4"x4foot poles into the ground for the fence to be fastened to.Dad was holding the posts steady while I swung a 14 pound hammer. I'd an accident to put it mildly. I missed the top of the fence post on one swing. I hit the 4x4 with the shaft and my R hand gripped around it. My fore finger burst like a sausage! Blood every where. Ralph who was watching went white, think Dad did too. A towel was put around the hand and I was taken to the Doctors. He took one look and sent me to the hand clinic at N/cle General. Surgery within an hour.Thought they were going to amputate it. The bone was crushed and the length of the finger wide open. They saved it and there's a scar and distorted joint to serve as a memory. :
