Frank Report 18 Aug 2011 12:33

Afternoon all, It was morning when I started reading the posts.

RAIN at last. eased off a bit now, but they say more is due.

Ros went off with Jan at about 11 am. for 12 noon appointment. Jan said she would ring when they have seen the specialist, and got any results. Ros. hardly slept again last night. Worrying about what might be wrong with her. I tried to tell her everything would be allright, but you know how you women worry.

I lover Virol, and Radio Malt, would go and pinch extra, when mum wasn't looking. The orange concentrate was very strong, you only needed a little drop to a glass of water. But, I would have it neat, after taking COD L:IVER OIL each day.

I don't bother blanching my beans before freezing. I did the other year, and when defrosted the were soggy.!!!! (Nothing worse than soggy beans) :-D :-D

Jane that Moth was big enough to put a saddle on :-) :-) :-) I could just imagine if that turned up in our house, Ros would have left home :-D :-D :-D :-D She is terrified of Moths, spiders, wasps. I sometimes come into the lounge in the morning and find a spider under a glass in the muiddle of the carpet. :-0 :-0 :-0

Kim, You are doing well with your bits on Ebay.

Those Bloody Indians who ring up about computer problems, I thinkk I have warned you all before about them. I now say "I HAVEN'T GOT A COMPUTER" and put the phone down. What I must do, is say just a moment I will get someone for you, then leave the phone on the side and let them waste their call. :-P :-P :-P

Mel, When I lived at Gayton, we had four huge plum trees. I would pick them and take bags of them to work, up the club, and put cloth baskets full outside the house with a big card "FREE HELP YOURSELF" and still I would throw loads and loads away.

Trust everybodies teeth are behaving today, keep taking the medicine :-D :-D :-D

Sorry if I have missed anybody out, cant go back to previous page !!!

Mel I don't seem to be having any trouble.(yet).
Just got the veg in time.It started raining as I was picking the beans.Looks like it getting heavier now. That will be me in then for the rest of the day.We are so desperate for rain though I mustn't complain.
I need to wash the en suite floor it looks disgusting .I'll do it now before I start on something else.

Morning Kim Mel Fiona and everyone

Fiona will be well on her way for the appointment now.I expect we will hear from her later.

I must ask my neighbour Mel if she has excess plums this year.If she has I'm sure I will be able to have some. They are normally delicious.

I think I better get in the garden and get some veg before rain arrives.I think we are due it a bit later.

Man is coming to see to the cooker between 1 and 3

Haveing trouble getting on here today as they are changing the site AGAIN. I hope it is for the better.

Picked a huge basket of victoria plums yesterday evening while oh was out ringing. Shall freeze some and put some on the table outside and some down the local shop. There are tons on the trees this year and many of the branches are breaking because I did'nt thin their fruit.

OH not amused as it's raining today!!!

Hope the tooth getes better with your medication Ann. I jarred my front tooth at the top the day before yesterday whilst eating. It felt very sore yesterday but is a bit better today.

Good to hear from our Sheila. I hope you have a safe ride to Western and enjoy haveing little Mat when he stays with you.

Morning All
Just a quick hello before getting ready to leave for the hospital, my appointment is 12.10pm so we need to leave here about half past 10 I want to get there a little earlier as I don't want to be rushing around at the last min.Better sort out my papers , I have wrote down everything I want to tell the consultant, I always seem to get nervous and forget something important, good job OH will be with me.

Looks like my printer has packed in OH says we need to get a new one, most annoying as I have just put in a new black ink :-(

Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon everyone (well early morning),

What a day and over $400 later new carpet had to be bought for the room as the near-new carpet and underlay we had didn't fit. Had all been previously measured, I don't know what went wrong, but there you go!!!!!!

People arrived to pick up nest of tables we sold on e-bay $107 not bad for 30 year old tables and two owners. Car all registered and it seems good, still chugging along the highway to Newcastle. It will do for a while yet :-) Poor little man had to pay well over $600 which included green slip - insurance, pink slip - Road worthy and service. He's in a bit of shock, better make him a strong cup of tea ;)

Ann you poor thing, an abcess that's horrible. So painful, hope the medication does the job for you.

Sue that scam is terrible. We have an elderly friend who lost $300 Aus. to them and never got any back. Not much the authorities can do, but alert everyone. Hope people wise up, as they are such vile vultures. My friend was so upset that she never told her family, only us. She will know better next time.

Maureen and Shirl, my fingers are not green. Whatever they are, they manage to kill everything that flowers, lol. Hope my Princettia survives, still a bit of life in the old girl - 2 weeks since I transplanted her into the ground.

Sheila I would want to be reporting that woman too. I can't abide cruelty to animals :-( Hope you enjoy your time with Beryl and Donnie. Does sound like Beryl had a very tough life, the poor mum, no wonder she passed away young. It's nice at Super, I remember walking out onto that long pier, but it was raining and very cold. Mat having two grandma's looking after him - lucky little boy. I always kept the nappy changing well away from the kitchen, especially the smelly ones, awwweeee.

Sun is out this afternoon, but rain is forecast. Hope teeth, jaws and backs are improving. Will be interested to see how Ros goes with the MRI results.

Off to have a cuppa. Have a good day everyone. 3.15 pm EST

Down to my doctor tomorrow in Gordon. Looking forward to lunch at our little cafe. Will need to be up really early, so I might not be back later, will need a really early night.

Hope Pat is enjoying her time with her daughter and grandkids.

The orange juice in the clear glass bottle with a white screw top?Thick juice I think. Was that given free to parents with young babies and children?.
Mil Par for constipation dished up on a Tablespoon!!.That was foul stuff. The nice thing I do remember was taking a Farleys Rusk to school for a snack when I was just 4 and 3/4's .
My Primary school was several miles away from home and my Dad would take me there in the little old Black Hillman Minx, but I had to get a Double Decker bus home. The Conductor would put me off at the right stop and see me across the main Rd,then I would walk the rest of the way home by myself.About half a mile or so I think.Mum would be at home with my baby sister.

Well I watched WDYTYA and fell asleep just before the end :-S :-S...Typical lol especially after waiting all week for it.
I'm off to bed now. Will have another go with this blooming bite guard.I will try harder to keep it in tonight.
Night Night xx
Hope all goes well tomorrow Fiona and Ros.

Oh hi, Jane. We quite liked the Virol. It was only meant for our brother but our mum used to let me & my sister lick the spoon after he'd had some!
We liked the orange juice in the glass bottles too. ;-)

Jane Report 17 Aug 2011 20:02

Hi SueCar.
I am a result of Virol too.lolol.I hated the blooming stuff.Spooned down me in great dollops!!!!!!!!!! Yuk :-P

SueCar Report 17 Aug 2011 19:48

My little brother used to have Virol 'cause he was so skinny. He's fat & fifty now, so it must have worked.
That is so a scam those people phoning you up from India offering to fix your computer. (Contrast with the BT people in India who are SOOO helpful if ever our Vison Box or Hub go wrong). Never, never type stuff into your computer that someone who has just phoned YOU asks you to do. I always tell them my computer is at the shop being mended and they go away.

Some of those young thugs should be made to spend a few weeks helping others their own age who are CARERS for a sick parent. How hard done to would they feel after seeing what other children have to deal with in life. Sharp shocks is what they need to see what the real world is about.

I think imposing strict curfews is good so they can't associate with other thugs, with stricter curfews if they break them.

I agree with you Frank.........good behaviour, they just behave long enough to work the system and get out. Some of the parents could do with BOOT CAMP too.
