Morning All On a very wet day .We haven't had this amount of rain for some time. The front of my jeans are soaking from where all the rain dripped down the front of my jacket.Quick walk today lol I am going to Tes** in a bit as I have collected enough coupons to get a couple of really good stainless steel pans.10 coupons plus 70% of each one.
Hi Teresa nice to 'see' you again.I remember all that Hoo Haa when you were moving. At least you are all settled in now. It is a heck of a business this moving lark.
Fiona that was good that you knew nothing during your endoscopy, and you don't feel to exhausted.Hopefully results will come back quickly.
Mel ,I hope the weather clears up for the dog show.I think the weather is supposed to improve for the weekend.
Ann you have a bit of peace and quiet for a while then
I am going to have to change these Jeans the wet legs are uncomfortable Kim take it easy girl and let your pills do the biz .

Hi everyone can somebody cheer me up I took a sinus tablet last night that somebody gave me and its made me feel so ill and depressed I feel like my head is about to burst and keep crying I just do not know what to do with myself. My ears feel funny also. The doctor is away.Being bank holiday nobody is interested.
I feel like I am going mad and it did not help that Mohsen let Michelle down again. he just raises her hopes and dashes them. I knew he would not come for her birthday. No planes he said Kim are you in pain again. What is wrong with the lovely Fiona. I hope everyone feels better soon. Maureen thank you and Jane for your good thoughts over my cold a cold I can stand but not these blocked sinuses I cant think straight and I just cry and cry. I dont know what it was my neighbour gave me but it made my nose run and I was sneezing my head off and now I am bunged up dizzy and tearful.Anti biotics do the same thing. Jane that is awful about the nurse. what a shame. I love trains but not travelling backwards it makes my headache. But whenever I go on a train somebodies sat in my seat even though I have a ticket. I once fell down the stairs on a bus Me and Beryl were acting silly and I went down two stairs instead of one being clever and the bus jolted and I ended up sat on the bottom step with my skirt everywhere some lads on the long seat were making comments about seing my knickers.I remember one lad said to Beryl fancy a night out duckie and she said I like a man not a shirt button meanwhile I was in pain with a sore bottom. We got chased round town by those lads. Beryl loved that. I used to fancy myself when young if I looked nice and would stand up to go down the stairs thinking all the men were looking at me. They wernt of course but you know how you are when young. I noticed Donnie was very white and said to him how come you are not brown and he said Sheil I am allergic to the sun.I went for a spray tan but the women took the mickie out my body when standing in the booth in my fig leaf. One said I looked like a stick insect. I said oooh how mean you dont but was having a laugh except I like young Donnie I see what Beryl sees in him or doesnt see in him in her case. He is so droll and dry and funny. A real posh women came in the shop yesterday and Donnie opened the door for her when she was going out. She said thank you young man in a posh voice and he said thats ok old fruit anytime. He just makes me laugh. my husband is convinced Donnie fancies him he had his arm round Leslie and said hows me old mate. Les kind of cringed said fine aand disapeared for the rest of the day. Donnies studs had increased four in his nose one in his lip and some where I cannot mention. I said to Beryl goodness help you if you get stuck up on one of those. I said how do you manage to live together you have nothing in common she said he makes a nice black pudding sarni. They were spikes and looked nasty it cannot be very healthy. No wonder Donnie looks brain drained.
. My sinus is so blocked I just do not know what to do with myself. My head feels really weird and crying relieves it but I cannot go around crying all day. it is raining so I cannot go and take the dogs out.
I have baby Mat but Michelle said she would look after him. Jess Ryan and April are enjoying New York. .They went out to Vermont in New England to visit Ryans parents. Mats little chubby cheeks make me pinch them poor mite.
April phoned last night and she told me cheer up nannie I am missing you which was nice.Ryan was saying April move your fanny up here it means something different she said have to go I have to move my fanny quick which made me laugh shes getting so American she keeps saying have a nice day and way ya go kid. And sure great. its really weird. I need a holiday .I was going down to Western for some seaair Jane not just to get Beryl and Donnie. They are back now anyway and I was presented with a tee shirt two hands clutching a bosom from Donnie. Beryl brought me something that looks like a cupie doll lamp reminded me of my childchood and the cupie dolls at the faIr Cheap and cheerful but its the thought that counts I hope Pat is enjoying Western there is not a lot there really they did up the pier after it burnt down.Sophia is not well either shes had a stomach upset since she stuffed that awful lamb broth .I had to listen to how her couson Rudolph married a countess and ran away to Germany with all her family treasures yesterday. There was a photo and it looked like one of those real old photoes from the early films She was in a low waisted dress with feathers and a headband. He had a big moustache and he was kneeling down in front of her saying what I wonder. Me and Shell were making things up yesterday.Shell said he was saying I wonder wheres she keeps her diamonds hope she says yes. I think he was saying something like nearly got you where I want you to himself.
Arizona is the grand canyon I have flown over that in a small plane and it was very scary when I went to Kansas for a holiday. My cousons brother in law lived there Everett .I remember leaving my stomach somewhere .But it was a wonderful experience.
I am glad Ross is feeling better now.
Liz i have moved loads loads of times I remember being so thrilled at moving into one house and the agent sold it to somebody else because we could not sell our place the people changed there mind about our house .I was broken up and estate solicitors and agents are the worse at keeping you waiting best of luck six moves in all and only two were smooth sailing for us.
i wish we could sell our house its so large and I hate empty rooms. I am glad of the shop sometimes but feel like screaming today. Well now everyone knows how depressed and fed up and ill I feel will go and depress my husband who is singing round the house Oh what a beautiful morning and its raining cats and dogs. I have just got a cup of tea.Have a nice day everyone.
Kim dont take too many pain killers hate you to feel like I do today.
Kim how are you doing out there my nephew phoned he is not happy at the moment he left his wife and now cannot see his daughter what does he expect. Emily is such a cute girl also so grown up for her age when she came not like our little ones. Not long ago they took her on holiday to Mexico and she was nearly kidnapped. A man in a car stopped and tried to pull Emily into it and she bit his hand and got away. They take Emily to the most strange places it was Peru last year .My friend Annies been there and said it was the last place she would take a child. Annies going to the swiss alps in a week she is opening a sports centre with her friend Hugo Zapplander and Roger Federer is there. lucky thing she takes it all in her stride. Skies like a trooper and theres me could not even stand up when I went a long time ago. I managed one run and sat down.Decided it was too wet and cold for me. I ached for a week afterwards but loved the evening sing songs and trhe shops.

Now Now David, Didn't we all, That was part of GROWING UP .
Kim, I hope the pain killers give you a bit of relief, and please rest when you need too.
I keep promising myself, that I will spend a day on the bus. Could try to get to Uppingham, and get Conrad to pick me up, that would give him a surprice, Someone has done the Lands End to John O groates on the bus pass. Don't know how long it took. Sore BUM after that trip
Mandy, the way youi are going you will need a seperate room for all your cottages. How many do you have now ???
Liz, Have you had a chance to speak to Sol. today.?? Hope things move along soon. Such a pain. You would think with all the modern technology, they wouldn't need to keep sending things through the post !!!But thats where to top up their fees.
I wonder if we will hear from Fiona today, I hope she had a good nights rest, and is feeling more relaxed this morning.
Ros had to be at the hairdressers for 8.45am this morning, couldn't get in for tomorrow so, will have to look after it herself for the wedding on Sunday.
Had a lot of rain in the night, Now damp and misserable, Don't think there will be much improvement this morning.

Morning All I'm here safe and sound, and not as tired as I thought I would be. Thankyou to everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes.
Yesterday seemed to drag on and on all that waiting till things started to happen which made my nerves worse. We left home at 10.00am and arrived at the hospital 3/4 hour later. then handed in my papers at reception and sat in the waiting area till my name was called. Then went to the changing room to change into a hospital gown and waited till a doctor came for my Ultrascan which went ok and only lasted about 20mins. Then OH & I were taken upstairs to the wards where we had are own room with bathroom & TV. waited another 10 mins and a nurse came in and took my temp & blood presure. then was told my time at theatre was booked for 2.15 that ment we had a good couple of hours to wait, by this time I was really neeeding a drink of water , but not allowed of course. hadn't eaten since 8.00am. We spent the time watching the tv while nurses, anethetist and Doctor came to visit. explaing what would happed before, during and after my procedure. they were running 15 mins late but finely about 2.20 I was taken down to theatre, OH went for a sandwhich & a cup of tea, I was put to sleep (much to my relief lol) and then woke up in the recovery room about 3/4 hour later, not knowing about anthing that had happened, after they took my temp and blood preasure again I was taken back to my room and had to stay in bed till the doctor had checked that I was ok, and I had eaten my toast and tea, Dr said all went well and hopefully he will know the results soon and send me another appointment to visit him and tell me whats going on. Thankgoodness its all over.

Morning All and Mandy and Kim and Mel,
Hi Teresa, your house move was quite an ordeal then to as well as costly. I bet you are not moving again in a hurry!!!
Raining here, so that means a break from the garden, but lots to catch up on indoors. I hope they have their wellies on for the dog show then Mel. Mind you it is supposed to be dry here over the weekend.
OH has whizzed off to pick his mum and dad up.......they are off to Coventry Hospital to do his mum's pre op assessment. It has put them out as they like to be about an hour early for any appts (OH is the same.....drives me nuts as he expects me to be the same and I like to be on time but hate waiting about for an hour or more) They have been told not to be there more than 20 minutes before the appointment.
I hope Fiona has some more information after the endoscope, I bet she woke up feeling pleased that is done now.
Sheila look after yourself won't you. Don't do too much till you're cold is on the mend. Was baby Matt good when you had him?
Sorry you are feeling a bit ropey today Kim. I hope the rest and painkillers soon pick you up.
Mandy, with OH at home now I find I forget the list!! I love the toyshop window with the red frame around it! BBL

Hello everyone,
I was looking at all your posts and then the page disappeared.
Shirl so glad you are safe, as I said in my email. Sheila I hope you are feeling better soon, summer colds can be worse than winter ones. Rest and dose up - brandy sounds good. Hope all the family is otherwise ok. How is little Matt doing?
Fiona hope things went well at the hospital and you have some answers.
Mel we have quite a few wind turbines popping up over here. The farmers get quite a bit of money to have them on their land. They are making some people ill. There has been a bit in press about it, even up to 10 kms. away. Neighbouring folk have had to leave farms and houses and just tend to them during the day and live away from home during the night. The manufacturers and gov. officials are calling it hysteria, but these are sensible, once healthy people, who are being affected.
Miss the old double-decker buses. They took them out of service many years ago. I used to love riding on top. Now they are going to bring them back because IT WAS A GOOD IDEA way back then and single level buses they use are not safe and take corners badly!!!
Another sunny day here, washing out late as I could not get motivated. On the painkillers today for the tummy pain and lower back. Liz good that your Ian is putting in those complaints. I hope it stirs things up and gets it all moving. Wishing you all the best.
Hello to everyone I haven't mentioned. Think I will have to put myself to bed for a while, feeling awful at the moment. Hope you all have a good day. Cheers.

Hi Peeps
Haven't been on this one for well over a year!
Read Liz's problems with moving house...
Well..... we finally moved to a bungalow in May 2010..the third one we went after.
First one fell through a few days before we were to exchange final contracts. Seller was moving in with her daughter as they were to purchase a larger property together..so no chain involved.....but daughter decided that she didn't have the room for her mother..so we lost that bungalow!
One lot of solicitors fees for selling our house and buying bungalow no 1.
Found another bungalow..great!... About to exchange final contracts again and the buyer of our house sends an email to our agent saying she's pulling out. No other reason given.
Solicitor fees for the purchase of bungalow no 2!
Our house back on the market! One lady who viewed it before... put in an offer.
Found bungalow no. 3 with the help of our agent...only came in that day. They rushed to typed out details and we viewed it the following day. Put in an offer which was accepted.....Yippeeee
Solicitors fees for selling our house again and purchasing bungalow no 3!
I have to say though that this bungalow is in better situation that the other 2.. so third time was lucky!!!

Maureen, your experience about buspasses at the boot sale made me laugh!!
Mandy.....another cottage for me to look at. You must have a village now.....they are very pretty. Fancy the bus driver calling in home!! I can imagine all the 'tuts' thinking he was up to no good. lol
It was me that asked about the nests Anne. The number nesting does seem to be increasing so I expect you are right about it being less secret.
FIL may remember some of that William, but he worked from Hinckley after he left Clear Hooters. He used to test the hooters, some big lorry ones too and reckons that is why he is a bit deaf now!! I can just imagine all the 'tooting' going on in there as you walked by. That is a really good idea to sketch the old places that would be lost.
Those wooden shingles will need nailing on Jane.......keep the plasters handy when you hear a lot of hammering!!
Yes, hope you are all tucked up and happy to be home again Fiona.
Night, night all xx

FRANK,I think you meant to say you tried to Skype Shirl ,not Sheila lol. Maybe phone lines are down there. Yes we have the wind'mills' at Burton.I have to say I quite like them I can just about see them when they are turning from my bedroom window! Not sure I would want to be much nearer though. They can be quite mesmerising (sp) to watch as they turn. They are HUGE.But I think they are fine there.
Yes ,tragic about the poor Nurse who died.A freak accident I think. It didn't say if she was married or had children.
Frank I think we are in a really weird part of the country.Like in a channel where we miss a lot of 'weather'.
Well that is me now for the night so I will say Night Night all xx Still thinking of Fiona tonight.I expect her OH will be looking after her.Hopefully hear how things went tomorrow.

You got a repeater to LIZ, TGry to relax with a glass or two.
Tried to SKYPE Shelia a little while ago, No reply. is she 5 hours ahead of us ??? If so she might be in bed, or the basement. Not joking, but concerned. Hope she is OK.
Jane The Grand Canyon is by Las Vegas. We fly down it on our travels.
What's up with this weather, they keep promising RAIN, but we get nothing.
Anne, I have seen all the "TWITCHERS" on the bridge at Manton. Must stop and have a look some day. How far are you from Manton ???
There are a load of those Turbines near Burton Latimer arn't there Jane.??? also at Winterton, just outside Gt. Yarmouth. You can hear them hum when you get close by. Jane that nurse who got killed, was riding on the path, then came off to go under the bridge into the path of the car. What a tragic accident.
I suppose you will all be going off to read your books soon. Goodnight GOD Bless, sleep tight.

Evening All,
What a bad experience you are having Liz with this house business. Hopefully all concerned will get their fingers out now. They won't want complaints going to the Law Society. I have found solicitors to be either good or awful. One solicitor I dealt with got things in a right mess which was going to be costly. The morning he arranged a meeting with a 'supposed' solution to the mess he went sick and never came back to work there!!! We were lucky someone else took over!!
What an awful, scary experience Shirl.....has it ever happened before?
Mel, they are up in arms at a nice village the other side of the city here, as they are putting up the BIGGEST ever wind turbine. It is 436 feet high, taller than the London Eye and just short of Blackpool Tower! It is going ahead too. Tells you about it here.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/8571055/Residents-anger-at-Leicestershire-wind-turbine.html
They have put 4 up at a village this side of the city too, they are springing up everywhere a bit indiscriminately it seems.

Evening everyone,
Oh Liz, i do hope things can be sorted out for you , these blooming solicitors ,what a worry for you , not knowing if your going or stopping , i hope you have some good news soon .
Been thinking of you today Fiona , hope all went ok and they can find out whats making you feel so poorly .
Sheila, hope you soon feel better .
Shirl, what a frightening thing !!!! i don't know what i would have grabbed first , i suppose it would be Toby !!! then photo's , do you get many Tornados your way then , i haven't heard you mention them before . Was there much damage ?
Mel, you don't want those old Wind Turbine's near to you , do they make a noise? , i've never been near enough to one .
Guess what i bought today ......another Lilliput !!!! another tiny one called the Toy Shop ...99p again DIL found it in a charity shop .
Hubby's BIL was a Bus Driver , poor chap died while on holiday abroad , he had a heart attack in the swimming pool , we were away abroad at the time so that was a shock when we got home . He use to stop at his house if he had plenty of time and have a cup of tea !! all the passengers sat on the bus and waited for him to come out , i wonder if they thought he was carrying on !!! lol it reminded me of "On the Buses " lol I love riding on the bus , you can see right into peoples gardens !! you sit so much higher so you can see more .

Woke up this morning to pouring rain and it was wet and miserable all morning but now the sun is shining out of a clear blue sky ( good old British weather)Looked at the weather in Arizona on the internet today and its 45 degrees for the next five days, this will be quite a shock when we arrive if it stays for the next two weeks.
Fiona Hope you are home safe and sound and hope the results are good.
Jane Yes you can see one of the nests from the bridge at Manton. The authorities are not quite as secretive now as there are more nests around.
William I do have a bus pass which I use mainly to get home from town if it is raining. I keep saying that I will use it more and go on longer trips but I end up taking the car as it is easier
Liz I do hope you get your house move sorted soon. They say moving is the second most stressful thing in life and that's without your problems. It must be so frustrating living out of boxes and i would not hesitate in reporting the problem solicitor. My FIL was a solicitor and they do work to very strict guidlines so they would have no comeback.
Frank Thanks for the latest messages as they do keep me smiling
Shirl have just seen pictures of the tornado on the tele and it seems very frightening. Hope you are OK now.
Mel These windturbines are popping up everywhere, It is not just the sight of them but they do make a certain amount of noise
