David, you just dab it on your tooth, you can put some on cotton wool and bite on it. GREAT STUFF. If you don't have that use ordinary cloves and bite on them.
We could do with a bit of your rain Mel, We had about a dozen spots yesterday. Everywhere is as dry as a bone.
Jane, I thought you werre going to say HE HAD A SOFT SPOT after seeing you. :-D :-D :-D :-D
Ros, is not good again this morning, woke at 3am covered in sweat, and this horrible metallic taste in her mouth. I know she is worried about the MRI results tomorrow. But as I said if there was anything that wrong, it would have shown up in the blood test.
I had a call from the Surgary this morning. (The perscription manager) She is going to look into the whole affair, But from what I said, she thought the receptionest was in the wrong, ignoring me like she did, and that she should have tried a little harder to ger the drugs signed off. It turns out she has only been there a few weeks, I hope our paths don't cross to soon. :-D :-D :-D :-D
I must go and pick some more beans and get them frozen, we will have beans throughout the winter. Tomato's are ripening on a daily basis, Will have to dry out another couple this year again. "GOING TO OPEN A TOMATO FARM" LOL LOL
Just had a SKYPE from Conrad. They are back on line !!!!

Morning All,
It was the Orajel I found to use Mel, but I agree with you about the sell by dates. Some matter, but a lot don't. I saw in the paper that there won't be any dates on food soon as they will be able to keep it fresh for possibly years. They are in talks with the food industry now.
David, you squeeze a tiny bit of the gel on your finger and I rubbed it on the gum at the base of the tooth. It slightly numbs the gum. I said to OH we will always take some when we are away now, just in case!! It is a tiny, tiny tube so takes no space up. I went to the dentists at 8.15am and have an appointment at 2.00pm so not long to wait. It has been bearable this morning, but I could do with a good sleep!! I wonder how Jane got on with her guard!!
Frank, it is no joke when these yobs threaten people's livelihoods........hope they soon fix the cables.
Much cooler here today but dry.........hope it stays fine for your OH and the tin fixing Mel......I bet he's champing at the bit to get on with it now.

Goooooooooooooooooood Morning,
Waiting for the tin to arrive now.
Good to know Frank and Ros are ok after not hearing from them yesterday till late. What a shame about the ring not being ready for the wedding. I do hope BT get those cables fixed soon for Conrad.
I have to go up the tunnel again today and do some clearing of old lettuce and sow some more. I also have to go to market later on.
Not that nice weatherwise here this morning and it poured with rain yesterday evening so everything is wet today.
Ann good that the tooth responded to the clove oil. I should'nt worry about it being out of date as that is only to protect themselves. Don't forget we never had sell by dates in years gone by and there was still stuff I remembered from my childhood in the first aid box at home when I was a teenager.

Frank,I hope they get the cables sorted asap for Conrad.I get lost for words sometimes(not often as you know) lol,I just don't understand why people need to vandalize things. Shame if Ros can't get the ring in time for the wedding.
Ann ,it's strange but even after all the business with Hannah and her ex I still have a soft spot for him. He is not a bad person ,but comes from a really bad family.I think when Hannah got with him she thought she could 'rescue him '. But they were worlds apart in backgrounds and I could never see it working. But do they listen? Nope !!.I won't say what Chris thought about him :-( :-(.He was right . I am off to bed now and will put this blooming Bite Guard in.I give it 5 minutes before it comes out lol. Will let you all know tomorrow. Must go and check the mains are off to the cooker. It's doing my head in now . Night Night all.xx

Evening everyone. Have had a busy couple of days doing my things for the town. Hospital shop very quiet this afternoon as very few clinics. Seems that most of the consultants are on holiday. I do agree that food prices have risen very sharply especially basic things. Guess I will be making more casseroles etc this winter and thankfully we will have lots of veg from the garden. I have frozen lots of beans and soft fruits and there are lots of caulies almost ready as well as enough onions and potatoes for the next few months. Time for bed night night :-)

Evening all,
I have been around but not had time to post.
Sold all the clocks Maureen. Made well over £100.00.
The ring turned up Registerted post this morning. Ros was able to drive to the jewellers, where she's having it repaired. The woman in the (the owners daughter) goes into hospital tomorrow for a hip replacement. So her Dad will have to run the shop as well as do repairs, so dosen't hold much hope for the ring to be ready for Sunday week, for the Step-Grand daughters wedding.
Conrad rang this morning to say, someone has vandalized the telephone cables around his area, BT say they won't be able to restore services till the end of the week. so his business will suffer. They rely on the WEB all the time. You are so right regarding prices. We popped into Tesc# this morning only bought a few items, and thought they had charged for the person behind me as well.!!!!
One thing, with Ros nor eating we are not useing the meats in the freezer. and I am not buying VEG. All these tooth aches take me back to my City days. I went to the dentist on 22nd December. 1960 with tooth ache. He drilled the tooth a filled it. He packed the hole to tight, and trapped the nerve. All over Christmas I was in agony. I went out to dinner with some friends, but couldn't eat a thing. My worst experience with a dentist.
Trust all of you are well, might pop back later. But I expect you will all be tucked up in bed.

Thanks Mandy!!!! :-D :-D You reminded me I'd bought something for OH ages ago, I thought it might be some of the cloves that Jane mentioned, so I rummaged in the bathroom cabinet and there it was the same stuff you said and unused!! It is 3 months out of date though, so I put just half of what it said on........instant relief, brilliant stuff!! I think you can use it 4 times in 24 hours so it will be a big help.
My OH was always saying 'How much?' at the checkout when he first retired!! lol They forget things like tea, coffee, soap powder and loo rolls cost so much. You are right Jane, prices seem to be going up a lot even the basics and economy ranges now.
Jane I bet your daughter's ex was really worried about meeting you!! Good that he is completely out of your lives now. I have just been going through the TV guides, thought I'd missed it.........still, will remember it is tomorrow now. lol
Think I will go and watch some tv too. OH is at a match again......he got a free ticket tonight.

Been shopping and yes where is our Frank. I hope everything is ok with both of them???
Bought a cooked chicken for tonight so no cooking.
I love home made jam and do most of it in ther microwave but you can only make so much and not a great load at once. If you do it on the hob you have to be there with it all the time. You can't beat it for flavour though.

Lol Mandy.Chris is always saying I should budget better.Yeah right!.I can't believe how much things have shot up in price.I often think my bill might be say £25 and it's neared £50 :-S :-S
Well I have been and got the signature from Hannah's ex.It did feel a bit strange seeing him again. It was just very polite conversation for a couple of minutes and that was it.He was probably dreading seeing me lol
I have never made jam Mandy.Never want to either. :-S.All that sticky mess and getting things to the right temperature.I remember Mum making strawberry jam and I would put the bit of paper on top of the jam and then the cover with elastic band.It did smell lovely :-D Spreading whole Strawberries on hot buttered toast!!!!!!! Oooh my mouth is watering. Now I have to go and turn the blasted cooker on :-S.Just Pasta ,sauce and garlic bread. No fish and chips :-S :-S

That's exactly how I do my jacket potatoes Jane, rub olive oil all over them then sea salt and wrap them in foil and leave them to bake.
You have some good friends Sheila, kind hearted even if they do get it wrong ....lol. I'm such a fussy eater, wouldn't eat soup even if Gordon Ramsey had made it, it smells like B.O. to me ........ My mum's cooking didn't help, she would boil cabbage till it was a watery mess but her baking was fantastic, apple pies and fruit cake, if I could have got away with it as a child I would have by -passed dinner and just had pudding.
All this talk of selling on e.bay has got me thinking. I've got a banjo in the loft, must be at least 50 years old that belonged to my uncle, he also had some very smart looking cameras, German, think I'll go and have a rummage around up there. How did your clocks sell in the end Frank?
That guard sounds like it will take some getting used to Jane, must have missed the posts about it, is it just a temporary thing to get your jaw right? When are you off on holiday?
Anyone else going away? I'm still waiting for summer ....lol
