Morning Lazy bones,

Was up a 6am. just couldn't sleep. Went down the pub last night, and had to get out twice in the night. Mother nature calling !!!!

Ros, had her scan yesterday on her tummy, nothing to report. She did eat a fair meal last night, but had to fast all day before the scan. So that's perhaps why.

We had cross words again yesterday. She went to park the car, and gave the kerb a good thump, damaged the alloy wheel, I was not pleased. and showed it, in my usual way, SHOUTING AND RAVING. That set her off crying, made me feel a real jerk.!!!

I have started to look at Wheelchairs on Ebay. It's getting to the point where she can hardly walk to the car, let alone go shopping. She cancelled her Saturday trip with her friend last night. She is in so much pain, when she stands, and tries to walk. It's back to the GP for another referal, the present specialist won't consider an operation, so lets see if anyone else will.

Just us this weekend, so will get her to rest as much as possible.

Lewis and his Mum arrived in France Thurs morning. Very hot, down the pool yesterday from 10.00am till 4.30pm He's got five weeks of that. LUCKY BOY

That funeral sounds interesting Mandy. I didn't know traveller's ones were like that! I have seen white horses and carriage used for a child's funeral. There is a headstone for a traveller in Leics I read about that has a fairground carousel carved on it.

That's great progress Pat......now you can go away and have a lovely holiday!

Oh Jane!! Poor little Ethan......hope his parents get a good nights sleep too....no wonder Rachel looks so tired. Thumbs up that (sorry! lol) all goes well on Sunday and that you play your part ok......more piccies for us too please....

I must get off to bed too........very tired tonight as the Magpies were tearing at the gutter grids at 5.30 am this morning followed by the Crow Chorus at 6.00am.....night, night all xxxx

The first Photo I got of Ethan today was on my dining table having his nappy changed lol Poor Rachel looks so tired and as white as a sheet. She seems to spend all the time feeding.Ethan has big reflux trouble so he sicks everything up and is then hungry again :-S :-S
Hopefully tomorrow he will be a bit more settled.Hannah will be home tomorrow. That will be nice for Rachel as they are Childhood friends.
Chester has been like something demented .I had to keep him shut away for some of the time as I was worried he might jump up at the baby.He is totally shattered now.He is off for another mini holiday at lunchtime tomorrow until monday while we are away for the wedding(Rachel's Brother)

Well I have just had some really disgusting dried up Pizza for dinner :-S :-S
Thankfully Chris had a good lunch at his conference in Oxford.
Tomorrow I have some lovely Italian Chicken Breasts, which I will do with oven roasted new potatoes, red onions, peppers, courgettes, and carrots.
We will have that early evening.
I need my bed now .Just realised I have been awake since 5am.
As Chris just said on his way up."It's been a VERY long day.
Night Night all xx

Kim I hope you are OK .I don't think you have posted today.

Oh my goodness!.I am totally pooped!.
Ethan has cried from the moment he arrived until the moment he left about 30 minutes ago.Poor little mite.He is really out of sorts .Probably to do with all the travelling ,time difference ,and moving from place to place. He has pooed and been sick several times, all over Rachel. :-S.They have just gone to book in at their Hotel now,and will be back tomorrow morning for the day.I have a load of washing in lol
Rachel looks totally wiped out and white as a sheet. She has to learn her reading for her Brothers wedding on Sunday.
I have been asked to take part in the ceremony .It is a ceremony with lots of Jewish tradition (Kate is Jewish) I have to open a bottle of something)don't know what) and pour a glass ,then it is blessed ,and then I have to hand it to the Bride and Groom to have a sip.Sheesh I hope I don't blub otherwise I might miss the glass :-S.plus I won't have my reading glasses.I did ask if they can make sure the bottle of whatever is unscrewed before I get to it as my thumbs are weak I might not be able to do it .How sad is that lol
Must go and dish up some well cooked Pizza for Chris and me.I feel past eating really but am blooming starving .It is so late
:-S :-S :-S

Evening everyone,

Shirl, that some heat your having now , hope you can keep yourself cool .

Another lovely photo Jane , was it today you were seeing the baby ?

There was a big funeral at our church today ,four white horses with black plumes ,pulling a glass carriage with the coffin in, it was a travelers funeral ,the lady was 87 ,i've never seen so many flowers one was shaped like a caravan !!! there were three big trucks with the all flowers laying in the back .

We're listening to Phil Collins on the television, both singing along !!

Evening All,

Shirl, I would hate that heat, would have my feet in a bowl of cold water.........it doesn't seem long since you had SNOW!!

Loved the ems today......english is very confusing when you see that! I watched a programme about Ik*a last night and a lot of their products are made in Poland and Sweden........nearly everyone spoke good english, even the factory workers.....puts me to shame with my schoolgirl french!! lol

Thanks for the lovely pic of you and Chris with James, Jane.....a good photo. I love the bunny on his lead too!!

Liz, I think all the cuts are being used as an excuse for everything now, when sometimes it is just bad organisation. I hope you soon hear, you have been in limbo for so long now.

Mel, it sounds like you have plenty of things to pick just now. Our loganberries were shortlived this year.....too dry I think. I bought a gooseberry plant earlier in the year and hadn't planted it yet as I was convinced it wasn't the variety on the label as that had red gooseberries and the ones on the plant were bright green. I was ready to take it back to where I bought it from but have just noticed that they are turning red!!

We did a bit in the garden this morning, but after several days of lugging stuff about, we ran out of steam and had achey backs so didn't do much, but at least it is weedfree now.

Later I called at a small garden centre I like that is quite cheap and has different things to the big ones. I got a nice bright pink evergreen rock rose that I have just the spot for! I also like going there as they have 2 beautiful Springer Spaniels who have the run of the place, but are usually fast asleep!! lol

I hope everything went smoothly for David and that he now has his pipe and slippers in place so to speak!! I bet they are both tired out after the move.

Hi maureen.
Sorry I ment no tomato sauces with my pasta, OH makes the pasta and adds chicken and leeks , sometimes mushrooms in a white sauce.

Shirl, thats one of the things I can not have is peppermint, something to so with it agrivaiting the infected area, not sure why,
having to wait till September for my 2 appointments to the hospital, there's a 12 week waiting list.

MIL here now, and just had a phone call to say OH brother and his wife are coming up from England on Wednesday and staying over night.

I know Maureen, it took me some time to 'wade' through it too! English must be such a difficult language to learn, thank goodness WE don't have to!! Surveyor came yesterday, it all seemed OK, but you never know! Ian been onto Estate Agent today as it's now been running 6 weeks! and we seem no nearer to an exchange! they were supposed to get back to us this pm,but so far not a whisper, why aren't I surprised! Apparently councils are taking for ever to get the searches back, no staff, no money, usual stuff!! Monday we shall have to do more chasing!! David, I hope you are settling into your new home; like us, I shouldn't think that you'll EVER want to do that again!!!

Took me a while to read that e.m Liz but I found it really interesting, always preferred English to Maths at school. Must be hard for foreigners to learn the English language with so many double meanings.

Might try that Shirl. olive oil and garlic on pasta

Are you off to a wedding this weekend Jane?

Hope the move went well David and you are now settled in.

Shirl. send me that sunshine, I would be blooming in the heat not wilting although 40 is a bit hot even for me....lol

Getting the garden tidied up while the weather is still fine, must get out there soon and cut the grass before it starts raining again.

Fiona, how can you eat pasta with no sauce, you're so tiny anyway you'll be wasting away with all these restrictions.

I do enjoy reading all about Beryl and Donnie do they live quite close Sheila as she seems to be round yours a lot.

Daughter is staying over tomorrow, partners off on a stag weekend to Amsterdam, they get more and more lavish these stag and hen do's. We'll probably go shopping as the weather looks iffy Try on a few more fascinators ....lol

Hopefully I will have a pic of Chris and Me with James.
Frank Chris just rang and said about a nasty accident on the M40(I think). He said that he got there fine though.

My visitors have had to stop on the M1 as Ethan had filled his nappy lol and was shrieking for a feed.Hopefully he will be a clean and well fed little Baby when they arrive :-D :-D

Marning, I'm early today. (WET THE BED) :-D :-D :-D :-D

Don't you go sitting in the sun our SHIRL, you will burn up and look like a prune. !!! Please take care, I don't want to hear bad news from you.

Mandy, These old clocks have been in the shed for Donkey years. I don't think they are worth much, if anything. But I thought I would try to sell them, and see the response. Sorry no Metamec clocks. If I had I would have sent it to you !!!!

Glad you are over all your excitment Jane, you can now settle back to normal life again. Heard on Loacl Radio. There were hold up on the A 34/M40 Hope Chris. dosen't get held up.

I bet David and Ellen are busy unpacking, and sorting out the rooms.

Changed the beds this morning, just going to put the line up, and get the sheets and pillow cases out.

See you later.

Morning All,

thanks for the lovely pics Jane. My fvorite one is of James and Hannah. What a lovely pair of children. Diud you have to stay in the Cathedral for the whole of the presentations?

Hope Kim is feeling a little better today.

Sheila is it like a cats chorus when Beryl sings? or has she a lovely voice.

I worked all day in the garden but today is dull and we have just had a shower. OH got on ok with the side of the road and is about two thirds of the way up there. I weeded the border. I have a kind of running weed that is like a thistley dandylion. It is a real pain as you think you have cleared it and then it pops up somewhere else or right in the middle of a plant. Thank goodness it is only on the end of the border. All the foxgloves have finished at the moment and look awfull as they have gone all brown but I wish to save some seed from them. After the rain there is not much colour up there now. The poor hollyhocks have lost all their leaves to rust but are still flowering. It really needs a good week on it to sort it all out.

Hope the move went ok for DAvid and Ellen and they had a good nights sleep in their new place. Makes all the difference.

Frank thanks for the video, \I wonder if there was anyone in the car. Liked the bit where the man got out and then went back to shut his door, as igf that would have made any difference. It must have been very frightening to be confronted with all that water and uncontrolable vehicles floating about and debris (sp).

I picked another pound of plums off the little old tree yesterday, three courgettes from the tunnel and lettuce leaves. two pounds of blackberries from the greenhouse which is nearly overgrown with them and a pound of tayberries. Pumpkins are not doing too good this year but perhaps it is a bit early yet. One I bought has'nt shown any signs of female flowers yet. More toms are ripening but only the little orange ones we love so much. Beans are now under way with small ones coming.
