The word 'Flappers' comes to my mind.Is that right? Ladies doing the Charleston with long beads and head bands? Were they called Flappers? I doesn't sound a very flattering name :-(

Evening all Been another lovely day, had a BBQ for dinner, came in at 8.00 because the sun has gone down.and daughter no2 and boyfriend went home, daughter is still chocked(sp) with hay fever, poor soul is really feeling tired.
OH & I were up at Loch Lomand this afternoon. it was lovely, was angry with myself as I forgot to take the camera. Went in to the shoe shop there , they have so many size 2, I didn't want to leave. bought 3 pairs of sandels the Fly Flot kind , really comfy they have velcro straps so they are ideal for my small narrow feet. 1pair in cream, 1 pair in bronze and 1 pair in black. won't need any sandels now for a while.
I better go and put the dishes in the dishwasher or . I'll get tired and it will become to late.

A poet in our midst.!!!! Well I never. Will have a look later.
Jane do those pantie things come up over your belly,???? If so I think Ros wears them. :-D :-D :-D real passion killers, Not that I have ever seen her in them. NOT ALOUD ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-). Will have to have a peep, when she's not looking.
Thought you would all like the sign. If you need your Bottom blacking, You know where to come. :-D :-D
I was asked years ago by a friend to look after his tropical fish, while he was on holiday. We had a power cut, and all his electrics went haywire, and the temp.droped in his tanks, and they all DIED. I flushed them all down the TOILET. and left a message for him, to that effect. He said not to worry. I was thinking of getting RID of them anyway.!!!!! Thanks a bunch !!!
We have had a smashing day here, very warm sunshine, I sat out this afternoon, on my lounger, reading my book. Watered the greenhouse and outside tomato's. We had Ratatouille tonight with Pork Chop and new potato's. She ate quite a bit, so that a good sign. I couldn't eat all mine, and it's the first thing I have had all day.

Shirl what is the Thread called for Spanish Eyes? I will have a look for your poem. Going back to undies and comfy pants.I have just got a pair of those"Magic" ones.I wan something to hold that midriff of mine in for the wedding.Lord knows if I will be able to breathe.I think I will wait until tomorrow to try them on.They are flipping expensive.Has anyone else had them?NOT you Frank ;-)
Ann your poor leg sounds really nasty.I hope those antibiotics kick in soon.
Poor Sofia. So many little ones are scared out of their wits with the giant Mickeys etc.I have a photo of Hannah sat on Santas lap bawling her eyes out.
Anne I worry too when I have a lot of plants to look after for my neighbour. I remember years ago when I was nursing and living in a flat ,the people downstairs asked if I would look after their very sick one week old kitten while they went out for a few hours. The poor little thing died on me :-S :-S :-S.So I had to leave a note on their door with the little kitty covered over in his box.It was awful. Must go for now my sister is on the phone.

It's always a bit of a worry looking after other people's plants or animals isn't it Anne........you don't want anything to expire while in your care!
Mandy I like the sound of comfy pants, will perhaps try some as some of mine are ready for the bin.....Lucy Lastic!! Yes I was very lucky to get an appointment today. It's usually much harder than that! The bite is spreading around the back of my leg now........trying to meet itself the other side! I am going with OH tonight to listen to a talk on future policing in the area. I daren't cover the bottom of my legs up as it will itch like mad.....I will look as if I stuck it on a barbeque.
Thanks for passing the book on and will look out for it. Does anyone else want to read it after me??
Poor little Sophia........will she ever like MM again Fiona. What a fright for her.....a bit like seeing Father Christmas the first time. My baby sister had a toy cat with a butterfly on a length of wire. You wound it up and it walked and every so often it made a loud zzzzzzz and shook its head making the butterfly wave about. She screamed her head off every time she saw it after it scared her the first time. Mum ended up giving it away.
The fridgefreezer is mended now, the clock that operates the frostfree mechanism had broken. I never had a frostfree one before......something else that can go wrong! MORE EXPENSE.....£60 but still cheaper than a new fridgefreezer. Just need some fresh food to go in it now......will do a shop later.
Thanks for all the e-mails everyone and lovely pics from your walk today Frank. Black Bottoming made me smile!! Are those orange things floats for the boats?

Hi Everyone
Had a busy couple of days. Took MIL to her brothers in Hartlepool on Monday and gleaned more information on hubbies family tree. Tuesday I was at TIC followed by lunch with friends and yesterday I went to the chiripodist followed by the afternoon in the Archives. Hubbies first week away has flown by and now there is less than i week to his return. Guess I should do some housework this weekend. I have been making biscuits for a coffee evening tonight and am watching Le Tour on the tele as it is a mountain stage today. Thanks to all for the e mails and photos. The sun is shining so I must water everything tonight again. Thankfully neighbours garden seems to be ok up to now!!! :-D :-D
