Morning All,

Thank you all so much for your good wishes and cards. Like Jane said I haven't had so many for years!! lol I have had some books, cds and gift vouchers.....all very welcome and the picnic is all packed......like the sound of the cream tea Jane!!lol

A bit of a panic first thing......fridge freezer had stopped working and everything spoiled. OH emptied it all and chucked everything away. We have another freezer in the garage but everything in the freezer bit of the one in the kitchen was too far gone to salvage. I have put the yoghurt drinks and the cheese out of the fridge in the other freezer...........will sort someone to come and look at it tomorrow.

Better go and get some lippy on to go now, OH is ready to go.....he has been singing THE song this morning.......the Beatles one about 'when I'm 64'.......no guesses as to why!!!! lol

Our resident Pheasent just had a barny with another male and landed in my climbing rose on top of the box hedge. They are still in the hedge. I hope Phil is ok as he comes to me when I call him ususally but he won't come out the hedge. It is about 5 foot thick where he is and I also spied bantam eggs in the bottom of it!!

I see David has changed his pic to him and Ellen.
It is very cloudy this morning with a nice little breeze.I am having to wait in for James's new shoes.I think a bit of housework is in order this morning everywhere is looking grubby :-S

I have had a good gargle so am in good voice this morning So here goes

I'm going for a shower, OH gone on his bike , back at 11. then we are going into Glasgow to find somewhere I can buy hands for my kitcken clock, We have had this clock now for over 30 years. bought it while on holiday in Devon at a pottery gift shop, along with 6 pottery mugs, and all of a sudden the main hands have stopped working, second hand still goes, I've changed the battery but OH thinks it's to do with the hands so hopefully we will get it sorted out, I would miss it if it had to go, you sort of get used to glancing at it when your in the kitchen every day.

I have gone through your posts very quickly. Sheila glad you like the photos. I am really feeling the cold and my energy is so low at the moment, so I haven't been on here much. Can't seem to get my hands warm, even with gloves.

Poor old Fitz Jane. He won't be able to do too much for a while by the sounds of it. It sounds quite bad.

Frank, your neighbour should move next to ours, just the same!! It is a lovely quiet close, but on sunny evenings he has music on, so loud at times you can still hear it in our lounge through 3 closed doors and closed double glazed windows. Impossible to sit and read. We never play music outside, but I think that may change!!!

Maureen, that always puzzles me.....you chuck stuff away, so there should be more space, but there never is!! Open Gardens?? lol I don't think so......it will be bare soil and a few twigs till things grow. I just want it all done this year, couldn't face another year's hard labour!!

Pat I can't believe you will soon have kitchen units and be able to put stuff away! That alone will be a big improvement for you.

Thank you for explaining that Fiona.....as Jane says we learn so many different things from each other on here.

I bet Hannah wondered what on earth had happened Jane. I bet she preferred the idea of the bus after that. I hate the tube, so hot, smelly and claustrophobic.

David, Ellen is splashing the cash then!! lol I bet she is loving getting all the new things. It won't be long now before you are moved in. I bet neither of you will miss the stairs at the old place!

David , how lovely to have all new furniture in your new home , i bet Ellen has had a whale of a time choosing all the new things :-)

Been outside and watered , its a lot cooler out there now ,off to bed soon , shopping day tomorrow ,the fridge is quite bare !! hubby will have to have cheese in his sandwiches tomorrow or Jam !!

Well amanda,Ellen's been talking about giving our leather 3 piece suite to our next door neighbour,so it will need replacing.

We lost a lot of money invested in shares during 2007/08 and sold our house at a price les than what we paid for it.So we are investing most of what we have in this bungalow.

We have no children so there's just the two of us.

Ellen was happy to choose the cooker,washer and dish washer,and of course chose the carpet.

I have had trouble reading the threads .Do not know if it is my pooter but the page thingy kept shooting back to the beginning most annoying my computer seems to have a problem of late very slow and not its usual self.
A bit like me.
I do not know what Beryl does to her face Jane it looks different everytime I see her. Today her and lover boy called round. They wanted to know if I could get two nice pieces of steak from my local butcher. Donnie wanted Steak Diane .He said Sheil I am going all refined and dining in with steak and you can get me a nice red wine girl. Beryl said you refined our cats more refined than you .Donnie replied well your Pandora and your Elvira said you had more wrinkles on your face than grandads got all over girl .Beryls comment when have you been disgussing my wrinkles with our Elvira I said dont forget Pandora and she said and you can shut up.

Annie was going home my ho was taking her it was just as well she said I will leave you to sort out the love birds. I had to sit while everything flew past my head that Beryl was throwing. Donnie was ducking saying in a gormless way Bell steady on girl that last book hurt. I said when you two have finished wrecking my happy home can you go and I will get the steak on Friday .They did go thank goodness. My day was peaceful after that
No problems just me reading a nice book . I even got to go for a walk and saw two beautiful white horses.They were being used for a funeral and were settled on the park area. There was a lovely carriage to transport the coffin not a clue whoes it was.

Michelle phoned said mum can you collect me from work someones jumped on the railway line and killed themselves. No trains this evening .There was a couple last week at Selly Oak station. what is the matter with people. Is it this country or what. stuffing the lines up with dead bodies.

Jane I had to go to the doctor today for a nose spray for hay fever.

I was upset Saturday evening I cried.
My son in law Mohsen came and told me he was going to drive all the way to Italy in a Renault car which he was taking for some man from Libyia
who was here without papers to deliver to his brother then mohsen was going to Tunisa to help his mum paid of course for doing it. Mohsens got a terrible bad foot and he is on five pain killers a day. Something wrong with the dorsal part of his foot and his head I think the idiot. He wanted my approval and I got really worked up and he went off angry and said he would not come back again. When I told Michelle she said Oh let the idiot
kill himself I am fed up of him. I wish he would get out our life. I like him
he is cute really just stupid and it upset me.

Well I will go how is our Shirl is her son ill . Poor Shirl she does not have
a lucky life lately.
To anyone else with a problem keep your chin up. Life is hard.

This house was built in1933 ,hubby was born 1947 , he lived here with his mum and dad , we married and i moved in with FIL and hubby ,i never knew MIL she died before i met hubby.

Mandy ,I think was very scary for everyone on the tube.They were probably all thinking about terrorists as it was recently the anniversary of the July London bombs.I think she was mustering up the nerve to get back on just to get home.
I am waiting for her to ring again.
I thought your house was a modern house Mandy(I don't mean that your OH is old) lol.I wouldn't be so rude :-S :-S

Rain! I would just love to go and stand in a shower right now Fiona.I don't know how hot it has been today .I'm just waiting for our local weather to see what it was.I just know it has been HOT.

Maureen, it doesn't matter what size shed you have, you 'll always fill it up , i always tell hubby oh , put it in the shed !!! then we have a clear out and end up taking things to the dump.

Hubby has lived in this house all his life , he was born in our front bedroom !!!

David, are you having all new things in your new home ?

Poor Hannah , i should think that was a bit scarey !!! don't know if i'd want to get back on again !!! :-S
