Well amanda,Ellen's been talking about giving our leather 3 piece suite to our next door neighbour,so it will need replacing.
We lost a lot of money invested in shares during 2007/08 and sold our house at a price les than what we paid for it.So we are investing most of what we have in this bungalow.
We have no children so there's just the two of us.
Ellen was happy to choose the cooker, washer and dish washer, and of course chose the carpet.

Hello good evening all!!!! I hope everyone is well today. Kim thank you for the photoes they were lovely.
Miranda is very beautiful and Joel is a very nice looking young man. I liked the picture of you and your ho and the dogs and lovely puss cats How are you today ?
I have had trouble reading the threads .Do not know if it is my pooter but the page thingy kept shooting back to the beginning most annoying my computer seems to have a problem of late very slow and not its usual self. A bit like me. I do not know what Beryl does to her face Jane it looks different everytime I see her. Today her and lover boy called round. They wanted to know if I could get two nice pieces of steak from my local butcher. Donnie wanted Steak Diane .He said Sheil I am going all refined and dining in with steak and you can get me a nice red wine girl. Beryl said you refined our cats more refined than you .Donnie replied well your Pandora and your Elvira said you had more wrinkles on your face than grandads got all over girl .Beryls comment when have you been disgussing my wrinkles with our Elvira I said dont forget Pandora and she said and you can shut up.
Annie was going home my ho was taking her it was just as well she said I will leave you to sort out the love birds. I had to sit while everything flew past my head that Beryl was throwing. Donnie was ducking saying in a gormless way Bell steady on girl that last book hurt. I said when you two have finished wrecking my happy home can you go and I will get the steak on Friday .They did go thank goodness. My day was peaceful after that No problems just me reading a nice book . I even got to go for a walk and saw two beautiful white horses. They were being used for a funeral and were settled on the park area. There was a lovely carriage to transport the coffin not a clue whoes it was.
Michelle phoned said mum can you collect me from work someones jumped on the railway line and killed themselves. No trains this evening .There was a couple last week at Selly Oak station. what is the matter with people. Is it this country or what. stuffing the lines up with dead bodies.
Amanda glad you enjoyed your day out at the Dinosaur park those places do make you walk a lot. . Jane I had to go to the doctor today for a nose spray for hay fever.
I was upset Saturday evening I cried. My son in law Mohsen came and told me he was going to drive all the way to Italy in a Renault car which he was taking for some man from Libyia who was here without papers to deliver to his brother then mohsen was going to Tunisa to help his mum paid of course for doing it. Mohsens got a terrible bad foot and he is on five pain killers a day. Something wrong with the dorsal part of his foot and his head I think the idiot. He wanted my approval and I got really worked up and he went off angry and said he would not come back again. When I told Michelle she said Oh let the idiot kill himself I am fed up of him. I wish he would get out our life. I like him he is cute really just stupid and it upset me.
Well I will go how is our Shirl is her son ill . Poor Shirl she does not have a lucky life lately. To anyone else with a problem keep your chin up. Life is hard. Hey Mel you sound better sitting out with your red wine hows the back and my week end was ok I take one day at a time thanks for asking.
Frank hope Ros is feeling better.

Mandy ,I think was very scary for everyone on the tube. They were probably all thinking about terrorists as it was recently the anniversary of the July London bombs.I think she was mustering up the nerve to get back on just to get home. I am waiting for her to ring again. I thought your house was a modern house Mandy(I don't mean that your OH is old) lol.I wouldn't be so rude :-S :-S

Oh Jane . Poor Hannah, what an experience. I bet she needed that glass of wine. I have been to London twice that was on my honeymoon and one time OH and I took a coach trip to see Phantom of the Opera , that was a christmas treat. We used the tube a couple of times but I don't like it. I feel cramped and stiffeled , just like when I'm in a lift, which I try to avoid if i can.
it's raining now, Oh is cooking dinner tonight, fish, potato and peas, followed by fruit and Icecream. I get the fruit but have to miss the icecream :-( :-(

You are almost there David :-D.I bet Ellen enjoyed buying all those new things and spending lots of dosh ;-)
Maureen I didn't realise you have lived there as long as that.We have been in this house since Sept '91.The garden hadn't been touched other than just lawn.Chris done wonders since then :-D :-D :
Hannah just called. She was on the tube when it suddenly came to a halt in the tunnels. All the lights went out,and they were there for 30mins ! and some people were crying .She said she had to get out at the next stop for fresh air and a drink. So she rang from the pub with a glass of wine as she was getting her wits back. She now has to get back on another tube for 4 more stops.

So glad all is going well David, I bet you and Ellen can't wait to get in and make it your own. I'm not one for moving about, have lived in this house for more than 30 years. Wouldn't be upset about leaving the house but I wouldn't want to leave the garden after all the work I've put into it. I wouldn't mind buying an old run down house though and doing it up myself, well with a little help from my son.

Been an expensive day. Ellen bought a new gas cooker, new washing machine dryer, and a new dish washer.
Also chose carpet which will be fitted next Wednesday.
Tomorrow I'm getting that sink fitted and on Thursday and Friday some one is re-arranging the kitchen units.
If all goes to plan,we move next Thursday and on Friday I give the keys to this house to the estate agent. On that day or shortly there after, the sale price of this house will be paid into our bank account.

Afternoon All
The meaning of LAIR - a resting place / burial place,
Here in Scotland some people say Lair instead of grave,
Annx we decided we would go with daughter no 1 to the country park so we took a picnic and sat on the grass next to the duck pond and had our lunch, weather was great, then we went to the play area, and then about 1.45 we made our way to one of the local cemeteries where next door there is an office where monumental grave stones are made, Sofia and her mum stayed in the car. we were only in the place about 1/2hour. so it was not to long a wait for daughter sitting in the car.

I do hope Ros will be feeling better soon. I't so miserable to be in constant pain and feeling sick too. The only place you really want to be is in your own home.
Book's on its way Frank.

Made the most of the sunshine this morning and just sat and sunbathed, clouded over now. Looks like it will be a nice day for you tomorrow Ann, cooler at around 22, I know you're not keen on the heat.
I'm tempted to get the hose out but It'll probably make it rain. How much more have you got to do to the garden Ann, sounds like we will see it in the Open Gardens when it's done.
Do you find when you take things out of either cupboard, freezer, sheds etc. you can never get everything else back in, even though you have less to go back. That's what's happened with my shed, it is a little bit smaller than the old one and I put loads of stuff in the front shed and still it's full to the rafters, everytime I open the door something falls out at me.
You're doing well Pat, first a dishy plumber now a workman in his pants ....lol.
Thanks for the photos girls, beautiful children Mandy. My friends grandchildren are very blonde and blue eyed. I said they look like little angels, she just raised her eyebrows and rolled her eyes.

Oh my word I am a Sweaty Betty :-S.I did the things I had to get done in town this morning then came home.Phone call from Fitz.He seems to have a slipped disc or something and is in agony and can hardly walk.He neededa few things from the local shop for his Mum so I got those and went down.Sat with him in the garden for and hour or so and had a little lunch with him, then I lumped his recycling boxes out for the bin men tomorrow as there is no-one else there today to do it.Think I caught the sun again on the back of my neck and shoulders. I have now just finished dead heading the roses. There are just so many :-S That is it for today, and I am now by the fan agian with a large glass of some kind of cordial.I think it is Apple and Thyme. It's really refreshing.
I hope Ros finds her new tablets work Frank.I think it is a nice idea that if you need you can go to Conrad for a while(if Ros changes her mind)
Anne I don't think I have heard of Coughton Court.I will have a google and look it up.I bet you will have a lovely day, especially if it is as nice as today.
Fiona I have not heard of a lair Stone before.it must be the Scottish name . Right now I am going to go and sit down and have a look at the paper and cool off.

It's been nice sitting in the garden, with the exception that a nieghbour decided to cut his lawn. The row his mower made nigh on drove me mad.!!! He is always doing something that makes noise. Even on a Sunday afternoon, he has the B radio on, with cricket blareing out over the gardens. I get my own back by putting some obscure Music programme on, with the radio outside, and turned up, and we are indoors with TWO double glazed doors closed :-D :-D :-D :- That will teach him.
Jan rang this morning, and wanted our Doctors Telephone No. She rang back later to say the blood test has been bought forward from Friday to tomorrow. and we will soon know when she will go for an X ray.
She has had a jacket potato at lunchtime with a little cold slaw. That means she won't be eating tonight. So I will sort myself something when I feel hungry.
I used to drive pasted Stone Henge on weekends when we were going to the south West coast to go Fishing. The only trouble was, It was still in the middle of the night :-D :-D :-D :-D
