Hi Everyone Just spent a lovely afternoon outside with Sofia, played with her dolly and buggy , watered the plants and tried to sweep up the paths, everyone had a sweeping brush, but didn't get much sweeping done lol.
Glad Jane, Mandy, Mel ,got the photo's will keep trying with the other ones.
Done the weekly shopping tonight was the first time I have been out in the car for 2 weeks, It was good to get out.
Got my results from the doctor on last weeks tests, sample of back passage was all clear and blood test for white blood cells was the same as before, so it is being sent to a hemotoligist to find out why the white blood cells are low. No news on the Endoscope appointment yet,
Going to watch the TV for a while before bed, night night xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Chris was called for Jury service earlier this year, but has deferred it until October. He is not looking forward to it at all.I think he has to be available for 2 weeks.I have never been called :-( I would love it.Maureen had to go last year or the year before. Then I think she was called again! I went to court many times when I was working for Victim Support.I went to support my 'victims'.Some of the cases were horrendous.I was shocked a few times by some members of the Jury. One even nodded off,and others just looked like they were bored and would rather be elsewhere. I loved my 10 years with V S.One year I was asked to go to a talk in London by Terry Waite. He gave a brilliant talk on his experience when being held hostage for all that time.He went through Hell . Must dish up dinner now.

I'd thought the upper age limit for jury service was 60,it is in fact 70
Iv'e been on jury service twice. The first one was very boring. The second,a case of greivious bodily harm brought by the Police was far more interesting.

Frank are you suggesting I had too much wine lol.Just 2 glasses and no I didn't fall asleep. We were just nattering about all sorts. It was nice though as there were 2 Red Kites and a Buzzard flying around the whole time and lots of Swifts /Swallows.The 2 cats Bella (mum) and Podge her son were both sat peering into the hedge on mouse watch lol
Diverticulitis is not nice .Hopefully this bad spell will settle and Conrad won't have another flare up for some time.
Mandy I can imagine you all felt sick when you couldn't find Jake.It is a terrible feeling.Little monkey!,he was just off enjoying himself.I'm glad you all had a good time (other than that little glitch) lol
Frank you be careful now if you are off for a few pints. We don't want to look on here tomorrow and see you have had another disaster !! and behave yourself at Morr****s tomorrow.Make sure you buy some extra goodies.
Please pass on my wishes to Ros .

Ros has been resting on the SOFA all afternoon, I am the gofa. Cooked chicken brest on the bone, with rice and veg, I did extra onions, mushrooms and peas. They never put enough in these packets. Stewed some plumbs, and made a pint of custard. She can have some later.
I will cadge a lift to Morriso## tomorrow morning with my neighbour, to get the odds and sods, that Ros would get, if she went with her friend.
I have kept out of trouble today, so I might walk up and have a couple of pints.

Annx, I finished my book this morning, and started a new one. will get into it proper when I go to bed. After all my jobs are done !!!! Mens work never done !!!!

I'am here !! been busy doing things in the garden , hubby's having a few days off , he wanted another water butt ,so we've been and got that this morning ,thats all connected up now , the car had to go for its MOT ,and passed ok so hubby was pleased , i had only done five thousand miles in the car since the last MOT . Went in hubby's van to get the water butt , it's like climbing mount Everest getting up into it !!! talk about pull my knees !! glad i don't have to drive that every day .
We all enjoyed our day at the show ,weather was just right for walking round ,DIL's father nearly bumped into Princess Anne !!!!! we didn't realise she was there , by the time we realised it was her all i saw was the back of her head !!!
We had a panic in the afternoon ,little Jake went missing !! we had walked round to were the children could go on some rides and i suppose Jake thought it was free ,like when DIL takes him to the park ,they run off to the swings and have a ride and go on what ever they want .
There was a Helter Skelter and he had gone inside with a little girl ,he climb up to the top and came down with her on her mat !! Because it was all covered we couldn't see him , talk about a scare ,we all shot off in all directions to find him. As we went into show the Lions had a tent were the children could be tagged ,so they we all wearing tags with sons mobile number on in case they did wander off ,its so easy to lose sight of them with all the people about .
I see you've been at it again Frank!! hope your legs not to sore today , and that Ros gets some relief from the pain with her latest injection .
Lovely photo's of Sofia Fiona ,she looks happy on her holiday , hope your feeling better .

Where is Mandy? Not still at the show surely!
I have the dentist on Monday 9am,to have this Jaw problem looked at.He has told me to just have soft food, and not keep opening my mouth wide to keep testing it,and to take anti inflammatory tabs.
I think I have got a bit sun burnt today when I was sitting in Fitz's garden.I didn't expect that.

Mel, Those planes come over here two at a time just above the roofs, They are stationed at Briars Norton, in Oxfordshire. When they come over, you can't help but stare up in the sky to see them go over. They are the Hurculease bombers. and yes I think they trandport the bodies home from the war.

Sheila hope your dogs are over the kennel cough. Zoe, my old border collie (now gone) got that when we moved up here with the bank. The animal transportation was part of the deal and she arrived a week later in a terrible condition. The vet diagnosed it immediately and she recovered, but it's a nasty illness.
Good that you went to the doctor and all is well. You need to take things easy in the heat. Family is good thanks, OH going to the gym 3 times a week and feeling better for it, kids on holidays
I'm good Annx just tired. Too much activity lately. I get so bored if I can't do things and then try to do too much when I get a bit of energy. A dog chasing it's tail!!
I was going to the tv, but then saw all your posts come up.
Frank I hope Conrad feels better soon. I hate hospitals too and we have some woeful ones over here as well as the better ones.

Hello everyone,
Did start this earlier, but had to rest. Also trouble getting on here today. I didn't get up until midday, so pooped at the moment. I have just finished the washing and it's in the garage. Hopefully a better day tomorrow so I can hang it out in the sun.
How's the human shredder today? Are you being STILL and QUIET?? Hope Ros gets relief with her injection and comes home to find you in one piece!!
Mel sorry that you are in so much pain and your foot lady didn't turn up. She could have rung if there had been an emergency or some reason to cancel. That's not a good advertisement for business. Sorry to hear about your friend who died. Must be wonderful to have that talent and pass it down through the family. We would probably only have ringers at the cathedrals here. All the churches would be too modern, apart from some of the small country parishes. I did find a connection to Holy Rood, Daglingworth for one of my Curtis family. Someone kindly looked up the Gloucestershire records for me.
Pat that's so good that they came in with a better price and starting on Monday!! It is all coming to an end - let's hope you will be very happy with the finished product and they do a great job :-)
Jane that's a dreadful situation for that lady and her son, plus going through the treatment for her illness. What turns these people into such vile creatures? I can't understand it at all. They are going to need so much support to get through this - I hope they have a lot of loving people around them.
Well I need to get on the couch, so might BBL to say goodnight. Must be something on to watch. Tata for now, it is 10.06 pm EST

Hi have just been to the doctors due to the fact I fainted the other day. The doctor said I was fine and he had a lot of people faint that day due to it being the hottest day in Birmingham for years it nearly killed me I was roasting ,Maureen you are right I should have let someone else cook the dinner
I know I come over with a lot happening in my neck of the woods .I could do without it. .I have asked Donnie for a photo of the happy pair .They were saying we get fed up in our house with no back garden.I said well you spend most of your time in mine it did not go down too well.
My ho is not one for doing much domestic Maureen. The last time he cooked the dinner he forgot it and it was black.Had to be thrown away.I do not cook a lot mostly salad these days and cold stuff. The lamb was a present from the butcher.I have known him years. Since I stopped him leaving his bits of meats in the porch he phones me up now and says I have got some meat for the dog and last time it was the lamb for us.
Since the students have gone home there are bags of rubbish everywhere the dustman will not take it unless it is bagged properly it is annoying. Our road looks a tip.
I am looking forward to watching Murrey today in the semi final at Wimbledon.Beryl wanted to watch it with me but I passed on that she talks non stop and I miss the best bits.I get fed of her remarks Murry mints on the box he is a right sucker she says that everytime the lad appears.
Pat I hate it when you have to distrupt your house but it will be nice when it is done. I had a kitchen built on when my mum died. Mum left me some money and I wanted to use it wisely. The mess was dreadful and it did not help that we had dreadful rain that year and everything turned to mud. But choosing the units and seing it finished was fantastic.
Jane nice to read your threads. If I did not laugh at Beryl and Don I would cry I think. Annie laughs so much she comes across a bit rude. We were in the shop and she saw them coming and came rushing in shouting Beryl and metal mickey are coming up the road. Why not put the closed sign up quick.I had to laugh.
Sorry about your sore back Mel. Jane that poor lady some people like me get some nasty problems. My couson who is 80 this year fell in his kitchen and was on the floor all day and over night .His home help had a day off. He was ok but his daughter wants him to go in an old peoples home and he is very upset. None of the kids will have him poor old guy.
Kim hows the family .
What a lovely job your sons got Pat. My son who works at the prison had pepper thrown in his eyes yesterday some prisoner pinched it off the table and he threw it in my sons eyes just because he told him he could not have visitors he was abusive to his dad last time he went to see this prisoner.
I will send the photoes when I get them.
Annx so glad you enjoyed your concert how lovely to see the man himself he looks a very nice guy. I watched a couple of concerts on the tv.Annie wished she had gone now she cancelled her ticket when he did not come and she went off somewhere . I am trying to stop her going on these weird dangerous adventures shes had a couple of near escapes Breaking her ankle was the last and before that she went sliding down a muddy bank in Cuba and landed on top of a chicken pen and cut her face open. My husband said today I have caught kennel flu off the dog. I said Oh ok then I will phone the vet he disapeared quickly. men!!! sorry Frank and David. I am sure your not like my husband. Yesterday he washed his socks and put them down on the chair to answer the phone wet and then sat on them. He was moaning his bottom was wet. He is happy when he his serving in his shop and nattering. But most of the time not in the world however he copes better with all the stress we have had over the last year or so. Before then life was very ordinary and peaceful next year must be better . Fiona are you ok now hows little Sofia . Hows Chester and Toby mine pair of pets have cost me a fortune this year no holiday. I think these two will be my last dogs the vets are getting so expensive. Dont blame you not having more dogs Mel.

Hi Everyone,
Sunny here so I'm on rock duty again today. I want to see Nadal in the tennis later this afternoon though.
Frank.....STAY PUT with your ebook today........no more mishaps for Ros to come home to I hope! lol Conrad must be fed up, the company he is in won't help so hopefully he will soon be home again.
Mel, how exciting to have baby goldfish........they start off a dark colour don't they. Is the pain any better today? How is Kim today? Anne is your leg still improving?
Pat, our Liz has been with us for ages, I just think she has been a bit busy lately. I hope your bath soon arrives. I hate waiting in too especially when they don't give you a rough time they'll be there. I can never settle to do much, can't go in the garden, can't go out, can't put the hoover on in case you don't hear the doorbell! My previous house took about 3 years to renovate and we were always in a mess, but kitchens and bathrooms are the worst. I remember having the fridge in the lounge for a few weeks!! At the time the old timber garage hadn't been replaced and leaked and there were only the old roundpin power points in the hall. When they get moving with things it will get done very quickly I hope. I've always been the decorator. I have papered ceilings on my own in the past, but couldn't do that now. I got a quote for painting just the lounge ceiling about 4 years ago and it was over £200!! Needless to say I painted it myself, but it took me about a week!!

Forgot to say that the hawk came into the garden yesterday while I was by the pond and attacked the woodpigeon in the beech tree at the end of the garden. It grabbed one and the other pigeon attacked the hawk and made it let go of it's mate. It flew off empty clawed thank goodness.

Oh dear, everyone seems to be in the wars at the moment. I do hope that you ALL start to feel better soon. Jane, I can't believe that about Chris's colleague, poor woman, that must be just terrible! what on earth will she say to her son?! and I think I've got troubles! certainly nothing to compare with that! Gosh Frank, you do get into trouble accident wise. As my mother used to say "Watch what you are doing!" and, in my case,"Pick your feet up"!!! not much sympathy there in 1955!! I hope Ros's back feels better, a bad back is really hellish, and drags you down no end. weather cloudy today, but fairly warm, so, off to the garden!

Hi Folks Having a few problems send Sofia's holiday in Italy via e-mail some of you may have recieved them some of you may have not, I will keep trying.
Frank , sorry to read about Poor Conrad. I'ts not an easy thing being in hospital, my mum had colitis for 15 years, she hated going to see the doctor, and refused to go into hospital, she was still living in the 1950's when she spent 2 years in hospital from a fall where she damaged her back, she always said the nursing staff were like sergent? majors , unfortunatly when she was taken in to hospital just before she passed away she then realised the nursing staff were really very good and kind, I suppose we were very lucky, I know some nursing staff are not that good especially the ones who have no patience I felt that the staff at the hospital where my dad was couldn't be bothered with the old folks and just kept giving them medication to sadate them.
