Afternoon All,

Quite muggy here but sunny. Sheila I can just picture the 2 newlyweds and Beryl losing her top.........just like in the carry on film!! lol I went to the concert to see Andre Rieu at the end of April. It was superb and we got a really close view of him as he walked past us with the orchestra to get to the stage. He looks so smart in his tailcoat......gives me goosebumps!! Such a charming man too.

Glad you are off to the docs Mel. I have to put up with quips like that all the time. lol I had a tax letter this morning and my tax will go up (I knew it would do!) and I happened to jokingly say to OH I would have to look for a clerking job too at this rate. He said he knew just the job for me.........a life model for art class!! lol Then he added, they would need to bring a lot of pencils!!!!!!.........and TINS of Du*ux paint!!! He has such a cheeky grin and can hardly say it for laughing so I can't help but laugh myself!!

Frank I think you get more done in a day than we do in a week! I'm not sure about those higher steps you have......hope they are very stable.

We fetched the water butt this morning and the bits for the pipe to it. We got some concrete blocks to stand it on and OH is out there fixing it up he says. It needs a new tap fixing on first, one that the hose will clip to so he will be crawling inside to do that I bet there are a few naughty words!! OOps.....I just got called......he thinks he will get stuck in the water butt and wants me there in case!! I asked him if that had shrunk as well like he says his clothes have!! lol

Well the opening in the new butt WAS quite narrow and he nearly got his shoulders stuck, but it is all done now and in place with piping to it. Oh has gone all hot and bothered and is sitting watching tv.

That sounds a good thing your surgery are doing Maureen. Worth going as you say.

Oh my Sheila, your posts are a laugh a minute. I bet you wonder what Beryl and Donnie will do next when they visit. You should be taking it easier though, get someone else to cook dinner, you never mentioned your OH does he stay out the way when Beryl is there ........

Just got a letter from my surgery, they are doing a preventing heart & circulation diseases so I'm going for a health check, can only be a good thing, hopefully all is normal but you never know.

Sorry frank I have my own way of hanging washing out as well...Have to give it a shake before hand..lol

I did manage to get my bits dry before I headed off to school..(Lunch time)

All the girls came up from their jnr schools to look around this big senior school...They also had dinner as well...So was extra busy..

Frank...I do have alarge sheet of polythene I may have to do that..My other half is in from work at four..I had just text him to see if they have given him a starting date yet...They should have rung him back yesterday,,so he will be on the phone straight away...

Some dark clouds have been appearing. but are passing now...Do I read my book for 20 mins or start to prepare dinner..Are having a curry tonight... A Medium one...my OH would like it hotter but not me lol

No-one hangs the washing out properly here except for me Frank.I always have to go and peg things the way I do it lol.So I am with Ros on this one.

Have tried out the new steps. Cleaned all the windows and frames, I can now reach the gutter, so thats had a wipe too. Quite high up there, but a least I can hang on the the top of the steps. !!!!

Ros poped into Tesc#'s this morning, and left the whites wash on. When it finished I put it on the line. She won't let me do it when she's around. SAYS I DON'T HANG IT OUT PROPERLY. You can only peg it out, after all said and done !!!!

Have beed sitting on my bed/chair reading this morning, nice and comfy. with plenty of bum space.

Just told OH I had an appointment at the docs today and he said "take the injection if he offers it" I said "What injection is that?" he said " euthanasia" .....................................

Hi Sheila so nice to hear from you. It allhappens in your neck of the woods, dos'nt it. I do hope Moshen and Michelle get back together after all they have been through. It is nice to think that Jess has Ryan and they may get together.

Took car in after charging the bettery up!! They are also going to stick my back number plate back on as it has fallen off one side!! Been and collected pills from the docs and have an appointment at 5.30 tonight FRANK.

Hi to all old friends and new .Did post a thread the other day but had to remove it it was all over the place. I was not feeling well. We had a real hot day and i was cooking dinner in sweltering heat .

Beryl and Donnie had come and were sunbathing and I asked them to share my leg of lamb. What a site they were .Beryl in her bikini and Donnie in his skimpy trunks stretched out on the grass .I was sitting near them and suddenly Donnie dived on top of Beryl and was nibbling her ear and she pushed him off and said get off you fat lump. Well is is like stick insect. .So romantic is Beryl.

I went in doors to cook the dinner. Walked to the dining room and must have fainted I came round with a sore head and back and managed to get up and sit on the setee. I later went out and said to the sleeping beauties
wake up I have just fainted and Donnie jumped up and said God Sheil old girl sit down and Beryl tried to jump up but her bikini strap had got stuck to the deck chair next to her and and she lost her top it went ping and fell off . That was a site for sore eyes or in my case a sore head after my fainting fit.

Dear Annie was staying because shes had to attend the hospital for her broken ankle here in Brum and she collasped laughing but when I told her I had passed out she was fantastic hobbled around and finished the dinner and gave it me on a plate while I curled up on the setee.

I last fainted when I was sixteen and had been dancing at the Tower Ballroom and got a little intoxicated hit my elbow on the bathroom heated rail and woke up climbing out of the bath. Then again they day Princess Diana was buried.I sat all day watching the event on TV. I went upstairs to the loo and my son was banging on the door he heard a bang and it was me hitting the floor. I ended up on top of the loo brush holder. A frantic son had to bash the door open. I did suffer a big cut on my head that day.
I think how lucky I was to survive all three advents and not come out too
badly.
I have read the threads so interesting from all the new friends on here I love them all.
Poor Valerie Frank I hope she was ok.
I had a dreadful swollen ankle not long ago it went down after I got water retention tablets so know what it is like also I suffer also being on this diabetic tablet with cronic intergestion so out comes the Galveston stuff in sachets if thats the right name. What a bind I am since that heart attack me who worked in the charity shop and raised that thousand pound and did the shop stint and walked the dog .Drove my car back and forth now I am like a walking acccident attached to a chemist shop. People say you look great for seventy two you only look about 60 big joke.One women thought I was fifty the other day but she admitted she did not have her glasses on bless her. I went up to the charity shop and they asked me to do a day.I promised not to move any concrete because there was another bag in the back they are building a annex. I managed to climb in the window to fix a skirt on to a display stand. The builders over the road were out again making hand signs and pulling faces. Two popped there heads in and said are you for sale again chukie egg. I said well your welcome to me now chuckie eggs daft pair.

I have a photo of Sophia and her large bra you know it was a joke its huge and she still eats like a horse. I will e mail it. I went to see her and she was outside .Her house is only little right on the main road next to the level crossing. She was a lolly pop lady but the kids took the mickey out of her size called her roly poly and such names. Well there she was directing the traffic there was an accident it stopped the traffic which was trailing for miles. Sophia was in the middle of the road waving her arms around shouting. A policman came when I arrived and he said madam get out the road you are causing a blockage. Oh that did it she started shouting what you say I cause blockage you cheeky man. I thought she will get arrested so I said Sophia come away and the same policeman said yes you go away and she might. I thought charming. Me trying to help.

i had someone text me the other day .This lady said I think I went to school with you.Do you remember me I am Monica I am your age and went to your school in Harborne Birmingham. Its just burnt down. It did my old school which is now a junior school and the roof caught fire.
We exchanged phone numbers and I am meeting her next week .

Jasper is ok now. teddie is back.

i went to see a film the other day and did not understand it at all although the effects were good not having seen the others.Something about the x men. my son in law Mohsen came with me. He is off to help his mum in Tunisia to give her a kidney.He is going to Italy first to get some money from his brother 5000 euro which I think he said was one thousand pound or it might have ben dinars the mind boggles. The poor lady will die if she does not get treatment they have to pay to keep her in the hospital in Monistir and they do nothing for her ,the kids have to wash and do everything. I do not know if Michelle and Mos will get back together. But
Moshens been here several times and you know I love him to bits but will not get envolved. We cooked bric and a tunisian stew . He threw about ten spices in it and gosh it was hot I passed. I had a job passing he got offended after he cooked it. I gave a pot to Donnie to take home and he was on the loo haha. I am cruel. I bet that made his metal bits jangle.
Well must go I have to see the doctor hopefully no crafty bits stuck to my socks like last time although did go in the butchers with glitter all over my nose have been making cards and stuff for charity and some for friends which a couple of you will get at last. MEL will hit me shes still not had her fairy card. However it will be on its way.

The horse at the stables is enjoying his name and Jessica is fattening up at last must be love again her and Ryan seem to be getting on fine Matt would be so pleased he asked Ryan to look after her and April before he died. Would be nice to have two son in laws again Moshen back with Shell and new one with Ryan. I might loose Jess to the States but if shes happy I dont know would miss the gran kids.

Pat, You could ask the delivery people if they have a BIG waterproof sheet. You couyld then put it in the back garden and cover it. Other than that can't you get the plumber/builder to collect it when they are ready to fit it.

The futon, is having plenty of lookers, but no bidders yet. One woman wanted to know if it will fit in her car. !!! I doubt it, ev en when dismantled the base/back is still over 6 foot long.

Had some more pots from the bag last night. very tasty, and so easy to get the skins off.

Hope Chris.can cope with being landed with other peoples problems. Four of my friends went through splitting up/divorce. They came to Ros and I as mediators. Not good, trying to sort out other peoples problems.

Im still getting confussed with certain people but am making notes now.

Emails have been flying this morning..Im no longer a member of Ancestry but had a message from the usa asking about my tree,I cant make the first move to ask things but can reply to their questions hopefully..

I am waiting to hear when they can start the work here.Next week is the earlest they said..waiting for that to be confirmed ,We have to move things out of the kitchen diner again that have been creeping back in...Also the bathroom suit is being delivered friday...Any suggestions where to put this,,,no room to swing a cat here.we only have 2 bedrooms and the second one is chocker blocked.

Fiona that town is Springburn, but this family were originally from Crossmichael in the Kirkcudbright area. Hope you have a bit more energy today.

Annx the Aborigines do usually cover their bodies with white paint for tribal dances and the like. That's what it reminded me of now you mention all that paint!!

Maureen they are a good group and very funny individually. Have known three of the girls since 1965 when I started in Grade 2 at the convent school and two of the others in high school 1970. They want to meet up every 4 months, but I don't think that's practical, probably 1-2 times per year would be better. As you said, people tend to drift away after a while. I don't want that to happen, but we had 38 years to catch up on and it worked well that day. What a top son you have and the shed is up!! We need a new concrete floor for our old shed - must organise something when the whether is warmer.

Anne we have houses either side and across the road, but dark, native bush behind us and a creek on the other side of that. I had wandered towards the fence and was trying to see into the dark when it rose up from the ground and flew straight up in front of me. Just as well it didn't fly at me!!!!!

Mandy I did take another peep last night when I put the cat in the garage again. She only goes there for a couple of hours until she calms down and then I get her back inside and she goes to sleep on my bed. Last night was wet and horrible, if IT has any sense it would be tucked away in a warm place. I won't be testing that theory though :-D :-D :-D I must Google the Royal Norfolk Show - it sounds like our Easter Show, which is agricultural and has lots of stalls. Used to be held at the showgrounds next to the Sydney Cricket Ground, but they moved it out to Homebush where the Olympics were held which is just a mass of concrete. Lost it's wonderful atmosphere years ago, so I have not been in a long time. Princess Anne seems to be a very busy, hardworking Royal!!

Jane things are back to normal in your household. Good that the car came back in reasonably clean condition.

I have put all your photos into my Genes Photo file. There is quite a collection there now.

Weather here has been a mixed bag today - overcast, sunny then rain and cold late afternoon. I might put some washing on and hang it in the garage.

It's late for me now,and I am ready for bed.It has been a very difficult evening with Chris .He has heard some very disturbing news involving a collegues (sp)husband and she called Chris to tell him about it.He went to see her after he finished work this evening and it is terribly shocking.I wish I could tell,but I can't.

Back still killing me tonight. Don't know if it is my chest or something else. Might be muscular. It seems ok until I come indoors and then if i bend sideways the pain shoots across my back but does seem to be both sides????

We had wall to wall sunshine all day today. No rain at all just a few fluffy white clouds and a good breeze. Cold this evening though. Went out to see OH give big Bertha a piece of bread. It must have been about an inch and a half square and when she found it there was a HUGE suck and it disappeared all in one go!! :-0

Sorry to hear your brother isn't well again David. I hope he is soon better.

We still haven't eaten .Chris has had a bit of a difficult evening and is having to have a bit of chill out time.I can't put the reason on here .It is nothing to do with him (thank goodness) but I know things will be on his mind tonight. :-S :-S

Brother has been very unwell recently.
A reoccurrence of a joint infection he got while at Wansbeck Hospital where he got a new hip,prior to being diagnosed with bowel cancer.
He feels sure it entered his system via a catheta.
Been diagnosed with osteo myelitis and was addmitted to RVI yesterday.

Hi all,

Have been in the garden all day. OH was cutting the box hedge and I picked all the cuttings up and carted them off to the bonfire on the big tree stump he took out. Then had a go at the fig tree and then cut the dead heads off the lupins in the border and the dead sage flowers. then started on the big Rhodo in the middle of the big lawn, taking the dead heads off so the new growth can come through properly. It had so many flowers on it this year :-S

Dinner is now ready, pork chops stuffed potatoes and brocc.

Evening all,
Ros is watching Eastenders then it will be Holby. I can't be bothered with them. I'll take over the box's at 9.00 then I can watch some Police programme or Documentary, till I am ready for bed and my book.

We still haven't seen any rain. just the slighest drizzle an hour ago. I must say that Wimbledon, had a right thunder clap this afternoon. You would have thought the place was going to explode. The girls on court looked scared to death. !!!!

Maureen, Your son, like our Harvey, can turn his hand to anything that needs to be done. My trouble is, he works six days a week now, I don't feel I can ask him to come up here to do jobs for me. Conrad (RUTLAND) wouldn't know which end of a hammer to use !!!!

I think I will go and sit on my NEW CHAIR and have a read. I can't believe the amount of space we now have. I wonder how long it will be, before something fills the space.!!!!!
