Afternoon All,
What a glorious sunny day!! More washing dried and put away.
What good news David!! Having the keys in your hand will be great!! :-D :-D Best wishes with the actual move.....have you settled on a date? I bet you are packing in ernest now......Te*cos running out of boxes yet? My parents lived in a cottage, then prefab, then bungalow, then flat, then semi detached house, then terraced house, then detached house. I lived in them all growing up, but since I married I have lived in 3 bungalows, one a dormer bungalow, but the upstairs was just spare rooms. I prefer them on the whole, but one thing I do miss is a view from upstairs!!! lol That accident must have been awful for your mum Fiona. Stairs are the cause of so many nasty accidents.
Maybe you should see the doc about that chest infection. :-)
Glad things went well yesterday Mel. I think your mum would have liked the flowers and Robin. Yes, I'm losing my marbles.........it was Homepride......the man with the bowler hat!
I like your new pic Kim.....a happy little girl!!

Have been sitting in the sun all afternoon, reading the paper and my book. My upper body is realy red. I hope I haven't burnt myself.
Hope you are well enought to travel on Thursday Kim. please take care of yourself.

Hi Guys, Just to let you know that I got a new mobile phone for FREE!! today. My SIM card had been discontinued because I hadn't used the phone for months, so I went into Phones R Us, to renew it, and low and behold I was offered a new one!!! with a camera and earplugs!! OH is really miffed as he uses his phone quite often and so his still works!! I had to buy £10 worth of calls and that was it! I feel quite triumphant! Apparently you have to use the phone at least once every three months else the card will be automatically disconnected, so I shall do just that and should be OK. Am off to the garden to 'catch some rays'

H I EVERYONE how are you all.Sorry I have not been on here I went to Stratford upon avon to see my friend Annie who went white water rafting in Snowdonia and nearly drowned when the raft tipped up and she went sailing over a waterfall and landed on some rocks she broke her ankle and was very lucky. I did not know until I arrived ,being Annie and her adventures nothing surprises me she is much younger than me and she is always off on some adventure.
Her garden was beautiful Annie just sticks millions of flowers and bulbs and seeds in and goes away for months and her garden is overgrown but with an abundance of flowers. It looked lovely how does she do it I spend hours on mine and it looks a mess. I love her Dovecot.
Pat I was so sad to read about you loosing your granson to swine flu loosing my son in law I know how you must have felt it is agony loosing someone so close to you. I thought I would go mad and then my son in law left my other daughter and I felt I was being punished for something.
The doggies got to go to the vets this afternoon but does seem improved thank you he is eating normally and seems more happy. He was in disgrace today because he chased a chat who got stuck on the roses and sat nipping its tail and the poor thing was meowing so mornfully like it was saying please leave me along. I took it in doors and gave it some milk and calmed it down then it suddenly lurched out of my arms and ran scratching me right down my arm deeply making it bleed.
When in Stratford Annie had a ticket to see a afternoon performance at the smaller theatre of Romeo and Juliette but it was a modern version and mainly schoolchildren I went to see it and it was nice passed a pleasent afternoon. I backed my car onto a wall accidently denting it trying to let some Yank out with his huge car he got out of his car and said dames always in the way move your junk and let me through I said where were you when they issued manners ,he said lady get lost will you I got so mad I accidently put my foot on the reverse pedal. he went off laughing horrid man. I made a rude gesture wont repeat it. Think of Mr Churchill.!!!!
Mel hope those bites are ok now. I saw the name Sheila mentioned was that me or someone else I have only had time to read a few threads I will get down to the nitty gritty later. I will have to try and pay less because our business is not doing too well what is the least amount you can pay.
Kim do you remember the Thorn Birds set in Australia with the lovely Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward . I bought a box set from my charity shop I worked for I watched some last night it was so sad. Being Australia I thought of you. I paid a bit for it but it was for charity. Jean Simmons was in it too.
Im pleased for Davis with his bungalow. I hope Frank and everyone is well.
Whats happened to Shirl and Liz.
Did Maureen go and see the trooping of the colour I thought the fly past of the planes fantastic the red arrows flying down the mal must have been a fantastic site.I love them seen them at one or two air shows. I am a bit nervous of planes after witnessing that crash many years ago when John Derry went through the sound barrier at Farnborough. I still get a funny feeling when a plane flies over our house sometimes being in the flight path for Birmingham airport. Catch you later I am taking the dog and coming back to catch up on the threads. I have been trying to trace my retarded couson Alan Wheatley who died having a heart operation at fourteen found his death but not his birth.

Morning All Sun out now & again, washing on the line.
Good new about the bunalow David, I bet Ellen is looking forward to getting the keys on Friday. Is this your first time in a bungalow, I was 3 when my mum and dad moved to a bungalow, unfortunatly mum had an accident (before I was born )she fell down stairs while carrying the hoover. and injured her spine, spent 2 years in Stonehouse Hospital plastered up from the waist to the kneck, then when she got out of hospital she married dad and they went to live in Sunderland. I came along and they lived for a while in a semi. then the stairs started to cause problems for mum so they moved to a bungalow. I spent my chilhood there till I was married in 1979.

Hello everybody,
I had my monthly trip down to Gordon today to see Richard. He has been in Croatia at a medical conference and was looking very tanned and relaxed.
Pat apparently it took them hours to position me for that photo - I was 6 months old and wanted to squirm and kick my shoes off. So it was a matter of "quick, now before she moves again". My poor parents!!!! A bit like this website at the moment - I have been trying to gain access for hours. Just had to copy and paste this message before I lost it.
David I hope you feel better soon. Swollen glands make you feel miserable along with the other symptoms. I never used to get any infections, but since being on the corticosteriods for my adrenals, my immune response has altered and I pick up a few bugs now. I need to be in better shape for Thursday - will have to dose up on my vitamins and hope for the best. Richard makes up a brilliant herbal cough mixture which we all take. It does a good job.
I won't stay on any longer as I think we are going to lose power. It is a wild night out there and more of the same tomorrow.
So I'll say goodbye for now. Kim 6.37 pm EST

Ann Graded grains make finer flour was Home Pride Flour was'nt it?? You had the little man in a suit and bowler hat, the graded grain man!!!!
All went fine today but Joy stayed till nealy 6 when she suddenly decided it was time to go!! We took her home and then went back into Bideford to get something to eat. Wim*y was shut so we went in the kebab shop. OH had a kebab and chips and I had a quarter pounder with cheese and chips. Thought I was'nt going to like it but it was alright and I would definately have one again from there.
The little service went off very nicely and the prayers were lovely. Her stone was all ready to go on after we had gone. The little robin I had put on there was perched on the stalk of a rosebud which I thought was very nice and I had done flowers out the garden of Ladies mantle and pale pink damask roses and lavender flowers popped in between. The holder I had arranged them in went perfectly into the flower holder on her stone. I must say I feel more settled now I know mum is in her final resting place just up the road in the shelter of our lovely little church.

Been feeling exceptionally tired and grotty for a week or two. Think Ive an upper chest infection.Frrl it in the centre of my chest.
Noticed two veins standing prominently to the right of my wind pipe earlier. Is that normal?
