Evening All,

It's been warm and dry here today.......dried all the washing, but there's more to be done. Frank, 2 small oak cupboards I bought a couple of years ago arrived on a wooden pallet that they were just going to leave in our drive!! Luckily the fork lift driver was able to run the pallet into the front part of the garage, otherwise they would have had to sit in the drive all day till OH came home!! H & S has gone mad these days.

Mandy, my last new washing machine just had the booklet in about 10 languages.....no soap powder.lol I remember years ago they would put a bouquet of flowers in a car when you bought one and a fragrance in the air intake.

My gran used to have those brown paper sticky fly traps......yuk. I think you can still get yellow paper ones for greenhouses.

Pat they did very well to raise that for such a good cause.

Kim I hope your cold soon goes. It must sap what energy and strength you have.

I hope Mel is feeling better now her mum's ashes are buried. My mum's ashes are in a different county to dad's as she wanted hers to be buried with her mother!!

Evening all from a very sunny Blisworth.

I am sitting here in my shorts, with the sun beaming through the window on to my bare body. Don't get exicited !!!!

Mandy, those were the days, when you had a pack of DAZ or some other washing powder. As for taking the old one away. NO CHANCE. they said we only deliver.

Anne/Fiona, I had all my trouble Sat/Sunday. I've been on three times today. and touch wood all is fine. AT THE MOMENT !!! I do wonder what they find to do all the time( GR this is)

Where's our Jane then. Looking to see if the runner beans are growing UPwards..

Still having problems getting on here , the normal route,

Had a blood test a week or so ago and the Dr says my white blood cells are low, She says I can't take my Omeprazole now if my indigestion is bad , only just take the Gaviscon for the next 6 weeks :-( Not happy because Gaviscon alone doesn't always do any good.

Dinner time , will have to watch what I am eating.

Evening everyone,

Had a job to get on here tonight ,its so slow !!!

Mel, hope everything went ok today ,have been thinking of you ,but couldn't get on here to say <3
Never been to Walberswick, we ues to go to Southwold a lot ,you could nearly park the car on the beach there lol
Yes hubby watched all the Grand Prix yesterday , i thought it was never going to end !!

Pat, well done to your son ,he did well yesterday raising that amount .

Frank, i always thought when you had washing machine delivered they usually take the old one away, i suppose it depends where you buy it from , you use to get a free box of washing powder and fabric conditioner inside the machine , i don't suppose they do that anymore ?

Was talking to a friend today and she was saying she hadn't had many flies in this year ,and we were talking about the old fly papers that we use to have ,horrible old brown sticky paper things !! wonder if you can still buy them , not that i want one LOL

Anne, hope your family have managed to get to the beach , it has been much warmer today , but there has been lots of black clouds about .

Hi ALL This is my second attempt at posting . The site is so slow today and it will not let me into my tree which is very annoying.Yesterday it rained until after 9pm so much so that the water butt overflowed. Thankfully it has also filled the wildlife pond for us which means we do not have to lug the watering can around. Today it is much warmer but no rain and some sun. I think the washing looks dry out there but am leaving it for now.
Have to say that we watched the coverage of the Grand Prix last night yes all 5hours of it and the race was very good when it eventually happened.
Mel Thanks for all your help yesterday. I hope your day has not been too traumatic. My parents ashes were scattered at the crematorium and I have no idea what will happen to me as I cannot decide. The only thing I would like is to be taken to church in a horse drawn hearse.
Frank Ros and her friends deserve a medal for all their hard work. Was your son in the scouts in the past? MIL was involved in raising money for our village scout hut many years ago. It was built on Church land and, a few years ago, they sold the land, pulled down the hut and built houses, she was furious.
Mandy Thanks for the weather u[pdate. They have only taken the cottage until tomorrow as son was unsure how they would cope with such a young baby.At least they can play on the beach today.
Am now going to try to access my tree again :-S

Maureen, The chap up the road has a skip outside his bungalow, I am going to be cheeky and ask if I can put the washing machine in it.!!!! You can but ask. Then it will be the matter of getting a couple of strong young men to put it in for me. It weights a TON.

Sunshine here and quite warm. Washing on the line is dry, another load just gone out. Then Ros has the job of ironing it all, tomorrow I think. We have just about bugger## ourselves today. fitting the machine.

Mel, If you are back home now, hope everthing went off O.K.
Pat, you must be a fit as the butchers dog, going out line dancing. I know I would fall on my bum just trying.

Jane, You must take more notice. when you see the Broad beans grow. With Chris a gardener I thouth you knew that. As for what they do with you. You won't be around so you won't care. How did we get on this subject. DAVID I THINK !!!!!

Kim, I hope your cold improves before Thursday. and that it won't be too much for you.

Just popped in quickly to see what you are all up to. Glad the rain has held off Mel, even got a bit of sunshine, hope it's the same in Devon.

I've been out in the garden all morning and will go back out in a minute, so much to do out there.

I don't know about where you live Frank, but here if you put almost anything out the front it's gone in a few hours, a day at the most. I did that with my old washing machine, dragged it through the lounge and out the front, went back indoors to get my purse and bags for shopping, came back out and it had gone. There's even a guy who drives down the road in a van ringing a bell, I guess he's after metal too.

Well that's me done, must get back to the garden before I don't go at all. BBL

Afternoon All
Been shopping this morning for another dress for daughters graduation on Friday, the one I bought a while ago was thin, blue and white and very summery. but the weather is forcast for a dull, gray day in Galashields on Friday so I bought an all darker blue dress which will still go with the little cardi and jacket(if I need it) that I have already got, so I won't now feel and look under dressed for the weather.

Thinking of Mel at this moment, and hope she's copeing ok.

Better go and wrap daughter no 2 graduation present and put it away, we will give it to her on Thursday night when we are all together, I won't get a chance on Friday we have to leave at 7.30am as she has to be there for 9.30 am and it takes an about hour & half to get there and thats when the trafic is good,

Morning all,
We had the new washing machine delivered. Just dumped in the kitchen. No help what so ever.!!!! These delivery people do just what it says on the tin. "DELIVER" We managed to get it unpacked, after a few choice words, and pushed it under the worktop. and connect the water and overflow tube. Harvey cut our a bigger hole yesterday, so I could get the Electric plug through the cabinet. It was only THEN. that I realized, that there were retaining bolts, to be removed from the back of the machine.. So out it all came, removed the bolts, and put it back. Ros has now got a load of washing in, and more waiting to go in.There is only the two of us, just don't know where all the washing comes from. Anybody want an old washing machine ????

Thinking of you today Mel my love, I am sure everything will be just fine <3 <3 <3 .

Weather here is dry at the moment, hope it stays like it. The lawns have grown like mad in a few days, that will be a job for tomorrow. I have done enough for today.

Morning Everyone
Wow Frank that was a great amount of money made for the scouts.Well done to Ros and all the others for their hard work.

Pat how did your son do yesterday?

Kim, I hope Thursday is kind weather wise.A bit of sun is always good on a sad occasion such as Funerals.
I haven't a clue what I want done with me ,but I would like to have Fleetwood Mac Albatros played at my funeral.
Goodness what a topic !

Changing subject,,the A14 was shut for several hours earlier and all the traffic was diverted so it passed our house.I felt so sorry for all the folk.I was talking to a lorry driver who was stretching his legs and had to have a break and I think he said he left Huntingdon at about 5am and this was around 9.30 and he had to get to Leicester!
It looks all clear now.I did what I did last time we had all traffic at a standstill, and cleaned the loo and sink just in case someone got caught short lol
All that ironing I was going to do yesterday is still looking at me ,so I will do it NOW! :-D :-D :-D

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 13 Jun 2011 09:32

Morning All,

Well it is'nt raining at the moment but it is not very bright either and it's blimmin cold. OH has been out so I suppose he has dug the hole, bless..........................

Frank that was a great amount raised for the scouts so there must have been a really good turnout. I hope the lady recovers quickly. Was it the shock of the amount raised? OH was thinking of having gravel outside our bungalow but I did'nt want it as I said it would all walk in. It is tarmaced now and even that walks in after the hard winter we have had. Cars have to turn round to get back out and that dos'nt help as it is always in the same place.

Mandy have you ever been to Walberswick? I went there a coupple of times. They are not allowed to have any advertising signs out. A lovely unspoilt village by the sea, so clean and tidy.

I had an email from Shirl yesterday and told her what I told Jane on how to try and get on here.

I think they have had to update the site as remember I told you that I could'nt copy and paste things because they came out al elongated, well that dos'nt happen now and I can copy and paste ok.

I have only ever been a Standard member as I have an Ancestry sub too. I think I bought some credits on here when I first started and thats about it. If your membership runs out you can still read the posts but you cannot post yourself.

Well off to do some housework now as Joy is coming over. Must tidy up a bit and clean the loos.

Morning all when you wake. I think I have managed to change my photo and add a few details today. Fingers crossed.

All the best for today Mel. I hope the weather is beautiful - it sounds like a lovely setting for your mum. My parents are buried together at Wesburn in the Yarra Valley. I have a friend who lives nearby and takes flowers from her garden to their grave. I haven't visited since 2000 when my mother died due to my health.

Dad always wanted to be thrown off South Head in a bag at the entrance to Sydney Harbour. I kept telling him it was illegal and he would wash up somewhere and scare the s..t out of some poor fisherman or swimmer. As for me I have taken over the licence of the ground vault where my g.grandfather is buried - room for 6 and a party. It overlooks the ocean at Bronte, so that's where I'll be in years to come.

It is another dull, rainy day. The funeral will be on Thursday 16/6, hopefully the clouds will part and the sun will come out for a couple of hours. I need to get rid of this cold as I can't miss being there.

I'm supposed to be researching the family of my elderly neighbour, so I had better get on with that. We are having a beautiful beef and red wine casserole for dinner.

BBL, Cheers Kim 3.24 pm EST

Frank that was a mammoth effort by the Scouts!!!!
