Evening All,
Well, that's better Frank that they saw you straightaway and have put your mind at rest.
Hi and welcome Maddie!
Well I don't seem to have achieved much today. Sorting stuff out for tomorrow, charging camera battery and filling the car up ready to travel to meet Jane and Fitz. I have decided to wear a little pendant I had when I was 18. It's silver, but a bit tarnished!! Trouble is my silver cleaner is in the garage from when the kitchen was done and OH has piled so much stuff in front I can't get to it. Anyway, after a bit of 'googling' I discovered tomato sauce should do the trick. I shall arrive at Luton Hoo tomorrow smelling of breakfast!!! lol I'm looking forward to seeing the house, our personal tour with the historian and of course lunch!!
I am sending you an em Jane.

Afternoon all,
Maddie, Welcome to the mad house. I am an Essex boy. Born and breed in Woodford Bridge. I have been to Gt. Hanningfield when younger. Nice part of the County.
TWO hours have passed since I started to post. While sitting here, I had terrible stabbing pains in my chest on the leat hand side. I rang the Doctors They put me through to the Doctor. He said I was to go to the surgery that very moment for an ECG. The nurse was waiting for me. I had my ECG, and was called into the Doctor soon after. He said everything with my heart was O.K. got me on the couch and examined my chest. He said a word that I didn't understand, but went on to say that it was a strain between my ribs and chest bone. Caused by some sort of virus in 50% of the cases and the other 50% was unknown. What do you think NURSE JANE. I know it's taken a weight of my mind. I can't believe how quick they were.

Are you taking that back Pat? I would.I remember having some chicken from Tes** and it was too stinky for me to have it in the car to take back.I think I would have been sick.I did still have the receipt though and they didn't quibble at all.I t hink I had a fresh pack of Chicken and a refund on the 'off' one.
I forgot to say earlier I am in Kettering Northants. Not too far from Frank and about an hour away from Annx.I'm 56 and have Hannah 28 and James 25.Oh and a hubby called Chris and dog Chester. Did you say where you are?I don't know if I might have missed it.I think I had better get in gear and do something about dinner now :-(

HI Jane loved your poem it made me laugh. Sorry Amanda about all the Beryl and Donnie stories I decided today to tell them they needed to buy some sort of transport my car was falling to pieces.
Trouble was today I was enjoying a peaceful morning and about 10 30am Sophia is at my door Sheila there is free Smoked Oak Ham at the pub a new manager is advertising free lunch today. I said oh no I do not really feel like eating but no she kept on until I went.
We arrived and I sat down on my own and a man charged at me with a plate of ham and put three slices on my plate and said salads over there before I had time to say Jack Robinson. I got the salad cream then and boiled potatoes and tucked in. It was nice But along comes Sophia she sits down and again the waiter man came over she said wait before you put pig on my plate I want to make sure its not fatty.I nearly died he said madame this is special oak ham not pig. Sophia looked at him and said so we have animal called special oaked ham do we very good. I am afraid I developed a fit of my giggles he was pompus this waiter but that just cracked me up. The waiter went later came back with Pineapple passion cake he said done in tiers like a wedding cake. Sophia said whats this he told her and she hit the guy with the menu and said you bring the cake to me I make this cake . The waiter said yes well then you must eat some .If you make it . Sophia said I eat my cake when I like not when you tell me by now I was laughing so much I did not feel like any cake. I just wanted to go home. Sophia ended up eating all her dinner and another helping and three pieces of her cake. I sat drinking a coffee trying to calm my giggles.
When I got home there was a card stuck in the grill of the shop door Sheila two large breasts behind billboard. That just finished me even my ho was laughing at that when I went in the house. I had popped up to the butcher on the corner who does not sell chicken breast unless you ask he sells corn chickens cheap. I had asked if he could get me some chicken breast for Jasper he can only eat chicken and rice for a few days because of his teeth. I told you Malc often leaves me bits of scrag or stuff for the dogs.I have told him to phone me but he just leaves it. So many people walking past our shop must have seen that notice. I had to come in and calm myself down I had laughed so much. I phoned Annie my friend in Stratford and said can I come over Saturday I need some sane company again.
My ho said try asking that butcher for some nice rump steak see if he leaves that free.
Hi Pat I hated showers when we did Hockey at school they never worked and were cold mostly and it did not help that cold water on our bruised ankles even though we were told it was better for the bruises.
Poor Mel bites are horrid.hope you feel better soon. I have took the phone off the hook because Beryl rings about this time and its making a loud noise letting me know. I could not put up with a Beryl session today.

hi all just to say had a good day today When i was younger many moons ago i used to go to a pub in south hanningfield in essex, not far from where my dad was born. It had a stream running thro it. Turns out my great uncle x 3 used to run the pub back in the 1800's. If I knew then what I know now. Sadly it is now one of these 'modern' pubs So history out of the window Shared it with you as no living family members living it would mean anything to.
rregards maddie
best wishes

Hi All Having lots of computer problems today. Yahoo wouldn't let me in and I had to log in 6 times with these silly login things before it decided that I could use the internet.Hubby is setting up his new travel computer and having lots of problems as well.We were trying to skype one another and new machine has died ( it only arrived yesterday so lord knows whats wrong maybe its operator error but I dare not say so) Lovely morningthen, just after hanging out the washing, heavy rain and now its just grey and overcast. Just had a telephone call from Jersey crematorium to say that my uncles ashes are there and I can go and see the plot when I go over next week.He died in 1968 and his ashes are buried with those of my aunt and her second husband. Guess what? now I have brought in the washing the sun is shining. Thats British weather for you Kim. Frank The TIC is the Tourist Information Centre. Sounds much grander than it actually is. We do not get vast numbers of visitors to Northallerton but are kept reasonably busy and I enjoy chatting to everyone. God but I remember the showers at school, I was the biggest girl in the form and absolutely hated changing in front of the others never mind showering. Mel did you get my help e mail the other day??? I am in a fix over some details and need some help with one of my husbands ancestors please Hubbys computer now completely dead, I think he is ringingD*ll at the moment ooops ;-)

Morning All,
So nice you have joined us Pat.
Weather here is sunny and showers. I think we had quite a lot of rain last night.
I was working up on the border yesterday while OH fitted the new filter on the pond so was'nt disturbed too much as he was occupied.
Pat I am the one in sunny Devon!
Sheila sounds like you had a good laugh at the wildlife park with Donnie and Beryl and Harry. What a big bill for the vet for cleaning your dogs teeth!! Thats when I am glad I don't have dogs anymore. I will stick to my chickens.
I have put the GR link in my Favorites and get in that way now after the trouble I had a few weeks ago. My site still dos'nt work properly though. When I get my tree up it comes out ok at first then the space where you type a name to look for someone on your tree jumps to just behind the first name up on the tree and the cursor won't let you put a name in properly and it takes ages to backspace the first name etc.
Should go shopping today as no more beer for oh!! Just managed to find him one for last night, that I had hidden away in the uti room.
We never had the experience with showers at school so I was lucky!! The only time we had to go through showers was at swimming lessons at a local baths. Then we had our swimsuits on so that was'nt so bad but the showers were really cold.
My dad taught me to swim by taking me to the lido at Snaresbrook on a Sunday morning. Frank will probably know of it. When I was a teenager we used to go there on summer evenings and climb the fence and get in and swim in the dark!! We had a great time. Told my parents that we knew the keeper and he let us in when the pool was closed!!
