Evening all.
Jane, As if I would comment about your mouth size. !!!!
Rained like hell, on our way up here, the wipers could only just cope. Clear blue skys here now.
Haven't looked at the photo's yet. If you sent them to me !!!!
I bet James woke this morning and went to the pub to make sure he was toped up from yesterday.
The girls went off to Peterborough ot Leicester, while I was at the pub having a drink. Conrad dosen't drink so I went on my own. I suppose it will be an Indian Takeaway tonight.
I bought up a bag of potato's from of my bags. Not masses of them, but enough for dinner for seven tomorrow. Hope they taste allright.
Have bought on of these BED CHAIRS from Ebay. Harvey will collect it for me from Hitchen,Herts.during the week. I now need to sell a double futon. that sits in the conservatory. Will have to take photo's next week and put it on Ebay. I think it will be more comfortable to sit on to read my book, and take up less space.
Ros is going through a lot of pain with her back at the moment. She went out and bought a new TENS machine yesterday, to see if it helps. She has to go to hospital again on Wednesday for the MRSA test., before going for another injection on 1st July.
Catch up with you all later.

Hi All Another graduation in the family Jane may be in another 24 years lol Mind the rate Sofia is going she's picking up everything quick , she only has to look once and she remembers what to do,
Daughter no 1 phoned, Sofia still not really taken to her other gran in Italy though she is having fun playing with the other relatives children and loves the beach and animals in the back yard of SIL parents house, it's a huge houseand they have a lot of land and they have their own hens, and a goat , the grandfather lives with them,(He has parkinson's) but still his own house is near by and thats where they keep rabbits (bred to eat) and their hunting dogs(SIL brother & dad hunt wild boar),
Ann last time I was measured at the doctors i was still 4ft 11"(sorry Jane must get it right) all my family are tall, bigger than me anyway lol I think daughter no 2 is about 5ft 5" her dad is 5ft 8" , mind you she was wearing heels, and I was too but not as high as daughters, I was very glad to take them off at the end of they day, wow my feet ached.
Hi Mel yes daughter no 2 takes after the Fairhurst side, and has big brown eyes like her dad, and also has to watch her wieght, the tend to be bigger , that's why OH cycles a lot, my Robinson side were all tiny and light, daughter no 1 is about her dad 's hight but was very slight before she had Sofia and takes her looks from me,
I love that jacket Mel unfortunatly I was a size 10 when I bought it, so it looks slightly big on me now that I am down to an 8, but will fit me better when the wieght goes back on, I just love that blue colour.

Gosh Fiona, Katherine is like your hubby and her gran. Lovely pics to remind you of her special day. You look lovely in that blue.
Been to the garden center to get fish food. OH bought me another little water plant I had'nt seen before. It has little star shaped bracks that are white. It's a marginal plant and is now in one of my reflecting pools. I also bought two bags of Daphnia one for each pool and some water lily fertiliser.
Just sitting here eating buttered crumpets with a cup of tea.

Lots I should be doing too Ann lol .I did do a couple of those shelves in the landing cupboards. They are huge.I had a set of 2 steps to stand on and still couldn't reach the back of the top shelf.Got a couple of big splinters too while I was stretching in.I won't tell you the last time I cleared anything from there.I'm ashamed! I am roasting a couple of Beetroot from the garden at the moment.Just to see how they turn out.I did wear disposable gloves to do them lol
Don't forget Ann ,Fiona is only 4ft 10"!! I look tiny against James. In fact I look tiny against most people lol
I haven't heard from James today.I wonder why??I expect he will ring tomorrow for Fathers Day.As usual his card was only posted yesterday lol
Chris is sat in the Summerhouse with air rifle poised. If you could all just see him !!!!

Thanks for the pics Fiona, you would never guess it had been raining in them. Katherine's happy face and smile have a 'glad it's all done, but I'm thrilled' look!! She is quite tall isn't she. I think your outfit looks lovely, really suits you.
There's lots I should be doing, but aren't!! I had a bad night last night. Next door's little dog started yapping at 11.30pm (neighbour out) and went on for about an hour. When he stopped, it was replaced by a burglar alarm noise, which is what he was probably barking at. After I got up twice to make sure it wasn't our alarm or next door's, as I couldn't sleep I sat and started to watch a horror film, The Cradle, that I'd recorded !! Not a good idea. It ended up too scary for me so I crept back to bed after about an hour..........OH slept through it all!!

I'm back.Katherine has a fabulous smile doesn't she. That Blue really suits you Fiona.Next Graduation may be Sofia lol
Ann ,I don't know how my jaw has gone a bit 'off'.I wondered if it was because I only ate on the other side when I had that temporary crown fitted,as it was too high, then I went back and the dentist shaved it down.I am trying to remember to eat on the wonky side to see if that will help get it back to normal.I just don't know.
Frank said he was taking his Laptop with him to Rutland.
James girlfriend Jessica still has another exam to do.But she still has 2 years to go.She changed course after a year so is just completing her first year.It will be interesting to see how their relationship goes now that James will be here. They have lived together for the last 2 years.Jess is having to move into another shared house ,as she is the only one remaining from the house now and James and the other 2 will be leaving uni.I hope they leave the house in good order as he needs his full deposit of £400 back!!(that will help him through the summer) without handouts from moi lol

Afternoon All,
We are getting downpours now after a nice, sunny morning too.
I bet everyone will be glad when they have found out what is the matter with your DIL's father Mandy. As you say, he is no age.
Jane do you think the 'opening wide' at the dentist might have damaged/overstretched your jaw? I know sometimes it is hard to close your mouth when it has been wide open for a long time in that chair. Quiet Frank!!! lol 'Me duck' is heard a lot in these parts too. lol I hope James doesn't have a hangover today. When will his girlfriend know her results?
My mum used to get me and my sister's names mixed up too.......all the time.
I went and bought 2 pink and white geraniums this morning for the pots that will go each side of the arbour. Of course now I want some more compost and other plants to go with them. The pots are quite tall, so I'll put a brick at the bottom, then some polystyrene in the bottom halves. They shouldn't blow over then, be lighter to move around and use less compost!

Hi Jane I'm here, Went food shopping this morning , then took MIL down to the garden centres , she loves to walk around the plants and the Scottish craft shops.
Conratulations to James, he has done brilliant, another graduation soon
WELL!!!!!! yesterday was a lovely day, shame about the weather though it poured down most of the time.
we left home about 7.45 running a little late but not to bad, the drive was ok, everyone apart from OH was dozing in the car not used to getting up so early, daughter had an upset stomach , it seems that some of the staff at her works have been off with a virus or something so she she was hopeing she would be ok for the rest of the day.
We arrived about 9.20 in Galashiels parked the car and went into the church were the ceramony was to take place , Old Parish and St Paul's , it was a beautiful church, Daughter and boyfriend went to collect daughters robe and then the rest of us we went for a walk round the building, There actully is a stained glass window there which was dedicated to the church by the Scottish College of Textiles following a merger of the instituion with Heriot Watt University in 1998
we were able to find a seat and just sit and appreciate the place while other folks came in and out , Ceremony started about 11.00 the first 8 pews were taken up with the students and the rest of the church was where the parents etc sat we all had to stand when when all the professors walked in in there long colourfull robes in a long procession. There was many speeches that seem to take ages and ages, and one of the most inportant people who was recieving the DOCTOR OF LETTERS AWARD was the comendian Rory Bremner for recognition of his distguished contributions to broadcasting and entertainment as an impressionist a comedian and playwright.
Then there was the graduation ceremony and of course lots of clapping and cheers when it was your daughter or sons turn. after the ceromony the was a musical recital from the Director of Music a Dr S king he played some classical music on the violin. then some more speeches, and then we a left the church, and went a cross the road, to another building which was in beautiful gardens where there was tables with sparkling wine, orange juice and srawberries , all the students were able to relax and speak to there famies and teachers. Daughters boyfriend took some photo's here and I had my camera too. it was drizzeling with rain the whole time. after the photo session daughter took her robe back and we went to the car , traveled to Peebles and stopped of at one of the pubs for lunch, it was a very nice day, and we were all very tired but very proud of daughter no2. when we got home we gave daughter her kindle and she was very happy.
I have a few photo's which were taken with my camera , I will e-mail them to you all

Mel all the local people here call everyone 'me duck'.Don't think you would be too happy about that lol
Mandy, good job all tests and scans are being done today. Is he elderly?
My temporary crowned tooth itself is not causing me trouble but the jaw ache has shifted to where the bottom jaw meets the top one, just in front of my ear.If I put my fingers on either side of my face where top and bottom jaws meet and open my mouth I can feel the jaw on the right move before the left one.Like it is out of kilter.Chris think it is something to do with that tooth and when the bite was wrong has done something to the joint.I don't know whether to go back to the Dentist or not. When I yawn I can't open my mouth as wide as I need.(Frank will say thats a good thing lolol)
No Fiona today.I hope she got back safely yesterday.Or was she staying overnight?

Afternoon everyone,
Heavy showers here this morning ,now bright sunshine .
The latest news from the hospital on DIL's father is that he had a comfortable night ,he had a chest xray last night ,he's got to have a TC scan today so at the moment he's having some sort of fluid ready for the scan ,he also has to have Ultrasound tests , so it looks as if he's having the works to try and find the reason for the turns , son said when he has one he looks quite yellow in the face !!
Pat, my dad would some times call me by my sisters name, but a lot of the time he would tell people i was his baby girl , the baby girl of the family he would say !!! We're off out tonight with sister and BIL for a meal , just to a country pub ,but it does lovely food , i must not have a starter this time, i just can not eat three courses any more and i do like my pud !! naughty but nice !!
Meant to ask Jane , has your tooth settled down ,haven't heard you say much about it lately.
Must get a shirt ironed for hubby ,why is it the one he picks out is always creased ? when it goes in the wardrobe its all nicely ironed !!!

Morning All So it's Saturday is it? Thanks Mel lol Sun Shining just at the moment and it looks a bit breezy, I haven't poked my nose out the door yet.I am showered and hair washed but am still in my nightie (my favourite holey one) . I need to sort out the landing cupboards today and have a bit of a clear out. There are old sheets, duvet covers ,old towels that you could spit peas through. They need to be chucked out ,and then there will be some extra room for some of James's things.
My Mum used to call Janice and me by the Cat's names before getting the right one lol.We were called Peter,Rudie Jerry.
