Jane. I would say Olney is worth a visit. Plenty of shops and a museum, nice Pub for lunch "THE BELL" I think. Also a furniture shop, where they have many antiques, and nick nacks. tea rooms if you don't want a drink. The Charity shop in on the main road just up from the square on your right hand side. Did you know its the widest high street in the country. ????

Am now tieing up the Tomato plants which I have on the Parip, they are going mad.!!!!!

Ros has just bought me in a coffee, nice and strong, like I like it.

Rain seems to have cleared for now. Backs a bit itchy in the sun. I will suffer it, It's so nice to be out in the garden in just a pair of shorts.

I Pat,
I would stand if I could at the hairdresser to get my hair washed but I can't because of the lower back pains I get if I bend over for to long, I would be in a lot of discomfort for the next few days, I have to have a shower everytime I need to wash my hair at home.

Frank. I want to look my best for daughters graduation, I won't have time to wash , dry and style tomorrow morning , we are leaving at 7.30.
I think the last time I was at a dance GIG was daughter no1 wedding do, 3 years ago :-D :-D

I took that Red Dress (the one I wore to a wedding in Nov) into the Cransley Hospice Shop last week.I know I would never wear it again. It cost me £110,so someone will get a great bargain.
It has just started spitting so I have draped all the bath and loo mats over the back of the patio chairs under the gazebo.

Frank I like Olney.Every time we drive through it I say we must come and have a good look around, but I never have (yet)

Just thought, I went to a very poosh Charity shop at Olney, bought a JEAGAR suit that was brand new, and the trousers hadent even been turned up. £10.00 To go out and buy one would be nearer £200.00. Also bought a load of casual trousers. at £2.00 a pair. Went straight to the cleaners, got them cleaned, and I still wear them. I also go looking at books. Garden and cooking books costing near £20.00 each go for a couple of ££££

Morning from a wet Blisworth,

It started to rain about an hour ago, and looks like it will be on and off sort of day. I see that in London it is lashing down, suppose it's moving this way.!!!!

Liz, I did my lawns on Monday, They looked great, but now are covered in leaves from the trees. and it's Spring.

David, I bet you are straining on the leash now, waiting to get into your new home. Don't rush getting everything done, A BIT AT A TIME. You will get there in the end. !!!!
All you girls, getting your hair done. Is it ready for a wild weekend at the DANCE gig.

I'm off to Rutland Saturday lunchtime till Monday. Harvey,Julia and Lewis will drive up on Sunday for Fathers Day. Conrad and Jan will do the cooking, lunch/dinner will be about 3.30/4.00pm. Then we can sit and have a natter and perhaps a DRINK hic hic.

Morning Everyone

Liz Shipwreck was my favourite thing in the Gym.I think the idea was that we had to leave a Sinking ship/wreck,and get to a mat (which was the island) without touching the floor(the sea).If we got our feet 'wet' we were out.I have a feeling we were in teams and it was the first team on the Mat that won.Great Fun!

Fiona I have the hairdressers at 4pm.I think it is about time someone designed more comfortable sinks. It makes me laugh when the girl says" are you comfortable"?.I always say no lol which is true.

It is a bright morning so far.Not sure that it will last though.I think I will get the Bath Mats in the machine quickly.

Mel can you spray yourself to stop the midges,or is your skin sensitive to the chemicals?

Kim I hope your friend had a great send off.He sounded as though he was a very popular man.
My meat balls were delicious last night ,but I think I could have put a bit more lemon zest in.

Yes Jane , Shipwreck was the one where you had to go round the Gym without touching the ground! do you know I can't remember what the actual point of it was!!! TOO long ago! I can remember that a friend and I used to fill up our water pistols and shoot them at the top of passing peoples heads! they always looked up, to see where the water was coming from! it was more fun if the 'victim' was bald!! sometimes people would shake their fists, which really made us convulse with laughter!!! I can remember the telephone from two cans, and a glass held to wall or door so that you could hear what people were saying the other side! well, you couldn't actually hear much, and it was usually boring anyway!! Happy Days!

Morning All
Dry and cloudy,
Jobs for today are cleaning main bathroom and a general dust and hoover. then I'm of to the hairdressers at 2.30, only thing about the hairdressers that I don't like is having my hair washed as my kneck is painful because of the sink, I am that short , my feet don't touch the floor, and I have to streach to keep my head in the sink otherwise I get the water down my back.

Strange it was recycling bin day yesterday but the men did not come to collect them so all the bins were left out, I have noticed they have just arrived now

My eldest granddaughter is 13 and the youngest grandson 7months...I dont drive so have to rely on my husband for that.

I saw them altogether in April for Mothers day which was also my birthday......Its very rare we are altogether at once...

My youngest son had 4 children my daughter 3 and my other son 3....

I was down at my daughters in Hayling island for half term the weather wasent to bad so spent some time on the beach with three of the grandchildren there.. I do enjoy having a paddle with them

Pat ,did I imagine it or did you say some time ago that you have 10 Grandchildren??
I think it will be years before I have any lol.I feel quite envious of my Sister who has 2,and she is 5 years younger than me.

Have just finished clearing up from dinner!!.It's blooming late. But OH needed a chat to do with a quandry about one of his patients. It's not often he talks about work ,and he never breaks the confidentiality rules, but sometimes he needs to talk.I feel pooped now lol.
I think I will just let Chester out for his last wee and then I will be off.
Night Night all.
Kim ,if you pop in .I will be thinking of you tomorrow. The Funeral sounds as though it will be a big affair. <3

Pat,I remember I thought people were taking advantage of charity shops years ago writing cheques.

Now it's not unusual to see credit and debit cards being used.I may be old fashioned but I feel it ought to be strictly cash and no returns in a charity shop.Often clothes are being sold at less what it would cost to put them in the dry cleaners.

I recall charity shops and nearly new shops were used mainly by those who couldn't afford new...Now everyone uses them.
Some who you couldn't have dragged in 30-40 years ago.

I'am lucky Pat my son lives just the other side of the town ,about a ten minute walk away, we live near the school so DIL drops Jake off them walks round here with the other two, i usually look after them when she pops to pick Jake up.
They are a lively lot !! keep me on my toes i can tell you , mind you i do tend to play with them ,last week we were making things with cardboard boxes !!!

But i'am always tired by the end of the day !!

I usually pass my books on to my sister ,and when she's finished with them she takes them to work for her residents , she works nights looking after the elderly in a home ,
