Evening Kim

Morning Mel
Lovely day here, great just typed that and the sun went in typical!!!!
hopefully will come back out.

Getting ready for church at the moment. Daughter no 1 phoned from Italy at 7.00am says they had just got up for breakfast it's 8.00am there, Sofia still asleep, I said good at least you hopefully will get your breakfast in peace.

they arrived in Italy about 11.30 last night, and SIL father picked them up at the Airport then they had about 2 hours journey home , Sofia fell asleep in the car. so everyone just went straight to bed.
Trip went well Sofia never sat still lol :-) kept going from her mums knee to her dad's knee , My SIL had to sit in the Isle seat of the row in front, so Sofia kept peeping round the chair to see if he was still there and wanting kisses and then back to mum for kisses lol
I expect she will be a bit strange with everyone at first but will soon come round, she has an older cousin there who is 3 and a new cousin who is just 1 month old so that will be fun, though her dad is determined and mum(sometimes) to speak italian to her in her own home , everyone will be speaking it there so she will certainly get used to it .

well I need to go now and collect bag shoes, etc,
BBL this afternoon.

Morning All,

OH was right it is raining today and it is also cold.

I will be trying to help someone today so might not be around much.

Sowed more seed in the tunnel yesterday and tied up the tom plants and watered everything well so I should'nt have to do it today.

OH going to Okehampton to ring for service today. He cut all the lawns yesterday and then walked them all again with the feed spreader and then sprayed them all with the backpack sprayer with weed killer. The rain should have washed everything in well, I hope. He must have walked miles!!! He also cut the front field with the ride on. So he was really tired last night and hungry.

Well I did try to change my photo and also added my names and areas of interest, but everything shut down with a message about site maintenance.

Mel I had to get back in via a old Genes email as it would not let me log in with my password - more talk of site maintenance. Everything I have been sent by Genes regarding trees and hot matches, etc. are oops broken pages.

I had a look at my tree last night and there was a blank page. I sat and panicked for 5 minutes and then slowly, bit by bit the names began to appear.

Any sign of Frank yet?

5.33 pm Good luck today everyone. I can't believe what's going on here :-(

Hello everyone,

What a dreadful day here with torrential rain and strong winds. The pool yard flooded again and the water was flowing towards our front windows. OH got out there armed with a hose, brooms and a mop. That did the trick; he used to mop to create enough suction and whoosh out came a huge mass of roots and rubbish about a metre long. It was sitting out in the gutter. No more floods, hooray.

Pat my name is Kim, sorry I did have all my information set out for you and Maddie the other night, but when I hit submit the whole thing was lost. Just to recap, I am 54 married to Keith with children Joel nearly 21 and Miranda 16. We live on the NSW Central Coast at Bateau Bay and have been living here for 14 years since our move in 1997 from Warburton in Victoria. I have been a member of GR since 2005, but I didn't start working on my tree until late 2006.

Ann the photos are beautiful. I love all those poppies. When I showed my son, he said mum we don't have anything like that around here.

It's probably time I changed by profile photo - I might go for one from my younger days this time.

BBL Feel like a coffee right now and some cake. 4.03 pm EST

David ,I'm sure you will have lots of memories of your Dad tomorrow. It was the anniversary of my Dad yesterday .

I spoke to one of my Birth Brothers earlier tonight. He says he has the photo of me that I sent him by his fire place.(I'm his Sister) that he knew nothing about until I found him .He also told me he has a photo of another sister when she was about 3 or 4.She has been contacted but doesn't want to know.My B .Brother said he will send me the photo of her. That will be great for me.I will then have pics of all of my Birth Brothers and Sisters except for one and she died in 1953 from TB.There are no photos of her at all.
I do wonder about my Birth Mother .....why on earth did she had 8 children ??
:-S

Jane Report 11 Jun 2011 18:03

Just looked up and the concert doesn't start until 8.45!!!.She thought it was a late afternoon start. So I don't need to sit next to the phone just yet lol
I'm glad you made sense of that PM Pat.It is quite a tale and difficult to package up into a short message.
I forgot to say I sit at the dining table on my Laptop, looking out over the garden.
I used to perch on the edge of the settee with the laptop on the coffee table but got Sciatica!!!!!!! or as I heard it called Weavers Bottom lol
I feel a bit chilly now.It is quite cool outside ,but I don't think wearing shorts helps.I better go and put something sensible on.

Evening All,

Jane, I nearly choked as well!!!! A good job you didn't spill any at that price!!! I'm sure you meant to say Fitz's main course was Guinea 'Fowl' didn't you and not 'Owl' !!! lol, lol I think his starter was a Pike and ham hock terrine. Yes, my pea veloute starter had basil froth on and there was more of it than I expected! I was wondering how I would manage the next 2 courses. OH made me smile today, he said just think, there will be people who are as well known at Luton Hoo as we are at Sain*bury's cafe!! lol Says it all doesn't it. He was very interested to hear about Zena the historian........I think he more than fancies her job......especially at Luton Hoo!!! I am still thrilled about the day we had there. I hope Hannah is enjoying Take That.

I had an e-mail from Shirl........GR are suggesting she gets Internet Explorer 8 now. I think I am still on version 7 and can still get on, so why does she need to be on version 8? Perhaps Mel could let her know what she suggested to others on here to get in.

This afternoon we went on a canal walk near Lutterworth, but the towpath was awful, with sloping narrow ledges, metalwork sticking up and rods you could trip over that supported the metal edge. We gave up after a short while, but on the way back I spotted a field with poppies in which is a rarity in this neck of the woods and took a few pics.

Hi

MEgirl...just lost the whole lot I had just typed.
My parents would of been pleased with me researching my tree especially my mum.
When she was little she was sent things from Utah from her dads (my granddads aunt and uncle..One was a post card another a christmas card and another a letter..the letter she received sometime later. As a child I knew she had these but didnt take any notice...When she died I kept hold of these.

It wasent until about 6 years ago when I started my tree that I remembered these things...I have since been able to trace everyone down from these letters..Oh my! my tree soon grew.

Afternoon All
Rained here all day, did the weekly food shopping this morning , Our Mor**sons have gone and changed all the shelves and all the things are in different places. took a little longer to find what I was looking for.

We then came home and put the shopping away, then went to a local Shopping Outlet where they sell fish for OH new tank, but he did not find anything he liked. had a baked potato while we were there for lunch, then decided to go to the fish centre at one of the garden centre's , no fish there either, popped in Dun*lm on the way to another garden centre, bought a new bath mat, dinner plates, and a new wooden bread board, nothing exciting really, Got to the garden centre , had a coffee while OH looked at their fish but still nothing to tempt him. so decided we had had enough of fish hunting for one day,

OH now watching the TV some filim about a Roman Centurion, to much fighting and bloodshed for me.

Anne now the family are up and gone to other houses, I turned my front bedroom into a study, where I am now at my computer desk, I have book shelves with my family history files on and a book case with reading and researching books and also family photo's on, also an old set of drawers where I keep papers, and photo albums in.
OH uses his laptop on a small coffee table in the living room or when he's working from home he uses the dinning room table. we have a seperate dinning room from the living room so it's ideal as long as I only pop my head round the door and use sign language for a cup of tea,no one is allowed to talk to him when he's in a phone meeting. :-(
time to put the kettle on , Daughter no 1 & family will have left home and be making their way to Edinburgh Airport now, flight to Italy is a 7.30pm
