Just had a bath and I am now feeling warm and relaxed, we didn't bother doing the weekly shopping tonight, so going to do it tomorrow instead.

Going to get a drink and make my way to bed, just finished my book, so will need to get another one, I would be lost without having something to read.
So I will say goodnight
BB tomorrow :-D :-D

Hi to everyone today I am having trouble with my e mail today hope to get on later.
Pat think you for explaining how to get a picture I shall have a go .I love all the change of pictures. .

Kim it is sad when you loose a long term friend I had a male friend die years ago I used to see him a lot when my husband was in Cyprus I was not married then but it was assumed I would marry my husband.

John was my mate and we were not romantic just really good friends his mum had this lovely flat in Chelsea in London and going down there was so thrilling after Birmingham. I rememeber she had two Manx cats Perdy and Perditta they were beige and had beautiful eyes such regal looking animals it was funny because when they sat each side of the fireplace they looked like book ends.
His mum used to have a unusual eye glass to look through and wore huge combs in her hair and called me duckie all the while which rather took the posh edge off things. John never married and he got a job at Buckingham Palace mending bed linen well you would have thought her majesty would be able to afford new but she had them repaired. I lost touch of him for several years and he became very ill with cancer in 1988 and died. I received a lace tablecloth from him that his mum left me because I said it was pretty it had doves in gold thread embroidered all round the edge and little pearls dangling from them but some of the pearls had fallen off but I sewed some more on it. I gave it Jess when she married because her house was made up of old fashioned things. Her new place is the same. Sadly she sold a lot when Mat died she had no room for big chests and such. She loves pink and her setee is old pink.

April is funny I think Kim she is a bit jealous .

Teddie is back in now and Jasper seems a little bit better but I am dreading Monday. I have been reading everyones threads from way back.

Jane it sounds like you and Annx had a great time with Friz what a lovely house to visit .Fiona i am hoping to look at Sophias pictures have kept the others you sent.

Jaspers a cain and teddy is a cross cairn I had him off a lady who wanted rid of him then she wanted him back but I told her no
he was settled. They love each other those dogs now. I kept teddie outside in the shed for the day he did play up but he was well fed and walked .When he came in he gave a huge sigh and curled up by the fire
stepping over Jasper.

Catch you all tomorrow love to everyone. nite nite from SHEILA.

Oh yes I'm with you there Fiona, Mr Darcy waiting at the bottom to catch you in his arms.......! :-D :-D

Yes, Mel and Jane are right....we are three shorties!! lol

It was very, very posh like Jane says, but not at all snooty.....we were made to feel quite at home!! The snow white napkins were placed on your laps by the waitress and as soon as Fitz and Jane had a few quoffs of their wine, the waitress was there and kept topping up their glasses for them........yes, they didn't have to lift a finger Frank!! lol

Maureen, I loved Phantom of the Opera when I saw it a few years ago. I bet you will love it too. MIL had to prod FIL.....he was singing the songs and heads were turning!! :-S

Was at the hospital for hours this afternoon. My neighbour fell whilst getting into the swimming pool at her villa in Crete last week. She went to the medical centre where she was xrayed but was told that it was inconclusive. On arriving home her hubby took her to the hospital who discovered a double fracture of the wrist. She is now in plaster for 4weeks and cannot drive etc. As her hubby was at a meeting this afternoon I volunteered to take her.
Mel I have just upgraded to Platinum a couple of months ago but have had nothing but trouble since and now they are talking of charging even more for new information.I have sent you an email re a look up for me please.
Jane and Annx What a wonderful day you must have had especially with your own guided tour. Luton hoo looks a super place to stay.
Time to watch the tele :-)

Maureen I bet you will love Phantom.I saw it some years ago.You will get a few goosebumps.

Fiona ,2 weeks will fly by.I bet her other Grandma can't wait to see Sofia. She will have changed a lot since they last saw her.At least you have some time to recharge your batteries lol

Hannah is off to Manchester tomorrow to see Take That.I will be sat by the phone waiting for her call so I can hear them .I would love to see them live but couldn't stand the crowd.Plus I don't think Madam would be too impressed if her old Mum was there making a fool of herself lolol.

Jane

Jane Report 10 Jun 2011 19:14

Mandy.Fitz looks tall because Ann and I are little shorties lol.
Ann has forwarded me lots of pics so I will be sending some of them tomorrow.
We could have stayed there for a lot longer than we did as there was so much to see .Fitz wanted to stay the night lol
Winston made a speech there to 110,000 people to thank them for all their help and support during the war.

We have just had the biggest downpour with hail.It last for about 20 minutes. Now the sun is out.At least everything is watered now !
Better go and have a look at dinner.Shame it won't be silver service .
Yesterday when our main course was brought to the table out plates had the big silver lids on,and we had a waitress each who lifted the lids off at exactly the same time.it was very posh!!.

Maureen Report 10 Jun 2011 18:54

Thanks Ann,that made a very interesting read. Isn't Fitz lucky to have such distinguished and interesting ancestors. Imagine just one couple living there and how nice that the hotel group are keeping it to its original state.

I'm off to see Phantom of the Opera musical tomorrow, looking forward to that, it better be good considering the price of the ticket., more than double the price for Blood Brothers.

Anne was it you who are paying their sub soon? If it was only have the ordinary one as we can look things up for you and send them by email.

GR searches are expensive and it is only worth having the £9.95 one as there is always plenty of people who will post things on the Find Ancestors board.
