That's bad Ann (spelling)!!! I wonder who made up the badge. I watch Strangeways .Hannah said that when she worked in Prison, some prisoners are just amazing at faking anything, especially mental illness!
I think I will take myself off up to bed with my book now. Last night I had a dream where there was a little pig in our garden and it was digging up the lawn.Someone pegged it up by it;s tail on the washing line ,so I rushed to get it down ..............then I took it to the butchers shop!!!.I think I thought he would look after it.Why do we have these weird dreams??.I wonder what it will be tonight. See you all again tomorrow.Night Night xx

OH was doing some invigilating at a written exam in Portugese at a school today. They gave him his ID badge with his name and photo on. Instead of it saying 'Invigilator', they spelled it 'Invigulater'. Not much hope of the children learning to spell properly is there??
I saw that Strangeways programme last night. They seemed to take a long time deciding that poor man was really ill and not faking it.
I'm off to see the interview with Prince Phillip now...........hope you all have a restful night's sleep......night, night and be back tomorrow. xx

Hi All Ann I get both the headaches and the visual disturbances , starts just like your OH flashing lights, zigzagging, then numbness down the same side as the zigzagging , then pins and needles in face and hand all down the same side, then the headache comes last but on the opposite side of the head. As a child from the age of 9 when they first started I was physically sick but that does not happen any more. but the pills I take make me drowsy and I feel like a zombie the next day. Mine are all down to stress and tension. and over tiredness.
Still very windy here we had hailstones this afternoon and the rain hardly ever stops, Daughter no 2 and boyfriend have gone to visit boyfriends parents in Inverness tonight, they own a big Hotel in Nairn, will be home on Friday,

Evening All,
Migraines can be awful Fiona and so draining. All you want to do is lie down in the dark. I bet you were glad to get home to your bed. I don't seem to get them as much since I have got older. OH gets the sort where you don't get a headache, but get visual disturbances, flashing lights and zigzagging across your vision. He still has to lie down and feels absolutely whacked after though. Mel, I think he gets tingling in his arm/ hand at times
Sorry to hear that about your brother Kim. I have a brother with schizophrenia and it's always at the back of my mind there might be a phone call or knock on the door with bad news one day. Those poor little duckies in the video.....they must have got so dizzy!! Still it all ended well.
Sorry to hear about your eyes Sheila. Good that they keep doing checks though and can take action early if needs be.
I have been and got a gooseberry bush today.......NO FRANK, I'M NOT EXPECTING TO FIND ANYTHING UNDER IT!! lol :O :O It is virtually thornless, has red fruit and is suitable for small gardens it says on the label so we'll see how it goes.
If you lived nearer I could give you a SHARP haircut like OH's with the hair trimmer!!! lol He asked me what my business was called and I told him 'Short Cuts' !! lol It's a 'NO FRILLS' service though. lol

I had trouble getting on here at about 6.35. I had to go to my inbox in the end and open an email from GR click on the name and I got in that way.
Have been up the tunnel all afternoon after lunch and OH moved my BIG water tank from the top of the tunnel to gown by the archway into the veg garden. It is near the tap from the well now but the water is only dribbling out at a very slow rate.
I thought Fiona was very tired after her journey but I am sorry to hear you had a nasty migraine. I have had those but I don't get a headache with them. Just the fuzzy spot which gets bigger till I can only see the actual bit I am looking at and everyone seems very far away like in a dream. As soon as I get one coming on I go and lay on the bed with my head hanging ver the side near the floor or put my feet up the wall for a while. Sometimes parts of me go numb, like a little finger or two fingers on one hand. I have'nt had one for years now. Bright light can bring them on for me too.
Anyway I am glad you are a bit better now Fiona.
Kim thanks for the video. You would'nt beleive it if you had'nt seen it. they must have been so dizzy after their tumbles. It even blew mum over too!!
I have cleared a great roll of matting stuff we had in the tunnel to cover the ground. Capillary matting OH put down years ago which he cut holes in to plant through. It had all the old plant stuff rolled up in it and I cut it off and put it on the wheelbarrow to move it out as I could'nt carry it. Now I feel all itchy and dirty and dusty as it had sat there rolled up for three years. The mice had chewed some of it up and there was about three mouse nests under it, so beautifully made and lined with this grey matting. Think I shall probably burn it all.
Sowed a load of seeds and planted some courgettes a veg spaghetti and some peppers. I have to wash and paint some canes for the runners I put in there too. Only ten plants as they don't so too well in the tunnel. They get red spider mite and thats why I paint the canes.
Going for a shower now to get rid of the itches and dust.

Aww Fiona! You poor thing. That must have been very unpleasant for you especially having that long journey back home again.I don't know what a migraine feels like (thank goodness). We all knew it was going to be a nasty journey weather wise for you.At least you got there for the funeral and got safely home. Have an easy night and hope you back on form tomorrow.
Chris just rang to say Hannah is on a later train and won't get in to the station until 7.He was there to pick her up at 6.30,so he will have to twiddle his thumbs for a while lol

Hi All Have spent most the day in bed with the aftermath of a migraine which came on yesterday just after the funeral, The weather was horrendous yesterday, we left at 7.20am and the rain and wind was awful you could feel the car swaying as you went down the motorway. There was a couple of accidents on the way down mostly to do with big lorry's and vans, one huge van had it's roof blown off, Stopped off at Carlisle for the loo. We arrived in Sunderland at the crematorium about 10.30 just in time funeral was for 11.00, it was freezing and so windy.
The funeral went ok and there were quite a few people, but apart from my cousin and her two grown up children, I didn't recognise anybody until a woman came up to me and said, hello are you Fiona I turned round and said yes she replied Hi I am your cousin Sheila., I had not seen Sheila since 1997 at another relatives wedding. (she was the daughter of my dad's older sister ) she is older than my cousin Jean by 4 years and Jean is older than me by 8 years)
after the funeral was over we then went back to my cousin Jean's house (it was her husband who had died) for sandwiches etc, I had only been there 10mins when the migraine started and we had to leave after taking pills I then went and lay down in the back seat and we came home arriving about 3.00. I then went to bed.
Just have relaxed this morning and got up a bit later this afternoon, but waited till I felt better before coming on here.

No problems this end Frank.Mind you I haven't been on it much today.
I don't use spices really in my cooking .Some of them can do funny things to my tum(I say no more) lol.But I do love my herbs.Simple Pasta tonight. Maybe your little frog took a big leap into the potato bag!
Shirl when you just said Apple Blossoms I read it as ......ample boosom (sp) lol I'm glad you have a bit of sun at long last.Just done the watering ,but will leave the front pots for Chris. He can carry the watering cans tonight. My thumbs are hurting today.
Kim,I'm so sorry that your Brother took his own life.I can't imagine what that must have been like for you going back home and finding out like that.He was dealt a double blow with MS and Schizophrenia. As you say it is something that people are more understanding about these days and that is mainly because it is talked about now.
Have we heard from Fiona today?

Afternoon All,
Shelia thanks for your good wishes for Ros. When she came back yesterday afternoon, her eyes were very large and dark. Settled down during the evening, and are fine this morning. Will have to wait for the results.
Going to get an "ESTIMATE" for having a haircut. It grows so quickly, as does my nails, forever cutting them !!!
Went round the "ESTATE" this morning, and found a baby frog in one of the bags of potato's how it got there, I don't know.
Jane, Glad you had a success with your meal, some of your cooking seems very interesting, the way you use all these different herbs and spices. Ros won't eat anything with spices as it upsets her mouth and her planalitus (I don't think thats right). But you know what I mean.
Much better morning here also. The lawn is covered in baby cherries, and pears. Leaves everywhere. Will get them all up with the mower. in the next day or so.
Kim, If things get on top of you, please feel free to let off steam amongst us, we have all done it. I know I feel better knowing someone will read it and not JUDGE you for what you say. THATS WHAT WE DO ON HERE !!!
Just tried to SUBMIT and an error page came up. Will leave it for a little while and try to submit again.

Much better day here too so will get out in the garden for a couple of hours.
It's a good job you went to the opticians Sheila, they will keep an eye ....... pardon the pun ...... on you now. My dad had glaucoma as a result of diabeties and he needed to put drops in his eyes everyday. Such a shame Jess doesn't live a bit closer to you, sounds like she could do with some of her own family around, she must be feeling a bit low at the moment. My daughter is feeling a bit weepy, seems Harry is not settling and cries a lot, we had a long chat which I think helped, as she thought she was doing something wrong. No, all babies cry, just some cry more than others. Has it stopped raining yet Shirl. I bet in a few weeks you'll be getting glorious sunshine.

Have just got some weeding done after sorting Fitz and his car.He is blooming hopeless.I asked him eventually if he had Home recovery. He didn't know,so I made him go and have a look.'OH yes I do " he says looking very surprised. So I said "get on the phone now then".Anyway the chap came and the Alternator (what ever that is) has gone.So the car has been towed off to the garage.Sorted ! lol
It is a lovely afternoon and I am just about to get some washing out.At least today I won't lose it off the line with the wind ! :D

Hi all,
I am offering Frank a free punching bag. We have a pink and black one hanging in the garage with matching gloves, never been used, truly!!!! I love watching medical shows too. RPA is a weekly show (Royal Prince Alfred) Hospital that I have been viewing since 1996. You get to know the surgeons who appear on a regular basis and appreciate their skill.
Jane you make me laugh so much. How does one faff - you will have to send me a diagram, lol. I can imagine it though. Hope Fiona has a safe trip home too. I can remember the havoc the last volcano caused with the flights and the strong winds.
Anne I would love to be there with you going through those records. One day I might be able to volunteer at the local library or do some study through the NSW Genealogy Society. That's my aim :-)
As you can see I am working my way backwards through the posts, so just bear with me for a while.
Sheila I hope I didn't upset you with my comment, but your post struck a chord with me and I got very misty. Firstly, I love Glynis Johns with her beautiful eyes and that striking accent. I am sorry to read about your eyes and hope you receive the best care and attention. I am thinking of you.
My eldest brother had MS and was diagnosed with schizophrenia in the mid 1970's. I went to NZ in 1979 for a holiday and came home to a house full of flowers. He had committed suicide whilst I was away, nothing to do with his health, but he'd just come to the end of his tether for personal reasons. The illness had so much stigma attached to it back then and for many years. I'm glad the public is far more educated now and there is less ignorance out there. People do lead normal, happy lives as your daughter and son-in-law have proven so lovingly. Jessica doesn't know me at all, but please send her my best wishes from the other side of the world and lots of love to these two little children. I do hope I haven't offended you with my outpourings.
Look for the signs, my middle brother and I were always getting them when Ron died. Some were subtle and others were very obvious. We were always comparing notes. It was a comfort to know he was there with us through our early grief. My mother thought I was drinking too much sherry when I tried to talk to her about it.
Mandy Jane and Annx thank for your comments on the photos. My two children were really chuffed when I told them. The black and white cat is so loving and she really "chills" on the cat stand.
Shirley the rain is coming down outside and there's lots of boom crash opera going on. Hope your weather improves.
Is a BT Vision Box the same as a set top box to receive the high definition signals? If so, our government is rolling them out for all the aged pensioners. B@@@@y hell, they could do with a help to pay for the electricity to be able to use them in the first place. Hasn't gone down too well with the public, as there have been so many failed schemes and lives have been lost with the home insulation and installation by dodgy contractors. Now you know why I wanted to swap Prime Ministers.
David good luck with your move. Where are you going to if you don't mind me asking?
That about covers it, I hope I haven't forgotten anyone. Hi to Maureen.
I am off to watch a bit of tv, not much on and I have been on here too long. Might pick up on the movie I was watching last night on DVD; saw the beginning, slept through the middle and woke up at the end. It was Dragonwyck with Vincent Price and Gene Tierney. Has anyone seen it?
It is now 11.13pm. Good night all. Frank I hope you have a more restful night.

Hello all,
I was writing an epic on here earlier and I got very emotional after reading Sheila's post, that I thought I had better delete it all.
Weather forecast for tomorrow wild, destructive storms and heavy rain - not good!!!! You are all getting a blast over there, stay safe.
Frank I get very cranky too, don't be so hard on yourself. This is a bit all over the place, I know. I will be more lucid later, I promise.
Cheers, Kim
