Evening all,
We woke to rain but by late morning it eased up a bit ,no sun today after yesterday's nice sunny day ,we even sat out in the sun for quarter of an hour but we did have our jackets on .
Vera that was nice of your neighbour to bring you the daffs ,it reminded me of something I read the other day where a lady found a bunch of daffs in her fridge ,her hubby had put them in there as he thought they were spring onions lol
I rang the doctors and I now have to wait for the doc to sort out another tablet for me ,they will ring when they have sorted it . Not sure where I will shop this week as there is road works on the way to aldi where they are mending the paths and there's also lots of one way roads so a right mess and clogged up roads, in one road a sink hole as appeared so that hasn't helped .
Had a nice white orchid and chocolates for mothers day ,it was nice to see the family as they haven't been for a while as they are so busy and so usually like the weekends at home .

Been rianing here too Anng. I went into Holsworthy for chicken food and wild bird seed but thought I would first have a little look in town so I popped in the factory shop to see if they had any of the cotton long sleeved tops I like. They did'nt but they did have one light navy vest top in my size so I treated myself to that. They are only £4 each and in the summer I sleep in those with my jim jam bottoms.
As to my Ebay saga I am not putting it on here. It was a scam.
Fed the bantam before I went out and the big girls when I go back. Now I am having a hot cross bun and a nice COT.

What is your ebay problem Mel, I don't think you said.
ust been to Cheltenham on the bus. Buses all on time and no cancellations. Wednesday I have to go to Gloucester for the chiropodist but is ages since I went in to Cheltenham on my own. I have been a few times with our group of friends, didn't go all round the shops, just Boots, M&S and John Lewis but my back and legs had had enough by then they are remembering I was gardening yesterday.
Pleased I got the lawn cut because it is raining now.

Its 11 degrees here but still cloudy and rain in the air and pc says rain coming.
Told Ebay but I don't think they will do much.

Good afternoon all
Grey skies and rain on and off so I’ve got washing hanging all round the house again. Some of it could go in the dryer but I’m trying to save a bit of leccy by only using the dryer for towels.
Yesterday seemed to fly by yet I don’t seem to have done very much. OH took out 2 grasses from the back garden and cut down the other 3 so it all looks a bit flat at the moment but the ones cut back will soon grow again. While he was out the front tidying the strip along the side of the garage our neighbour came back from church with several bunches of daffs. She gave OH one and then went round the other houses in the Close with a bunch for each house. I am not sure but I suspect they had them in Church for children to give their mothers and there were some left over. It was kind of her to think of giving us all a bunch.
I’m typing this while cooking our dinner. I’m doing our main meal now as we need to be out early tonight. We have a club meeting and we are down to do the teas so need to be early to get the urn on and cups out etc. In theory I should do teas once a year at this club and once a year at the Ladies Group but I seem to be constantly helping out when the allocated person can’t do it for some reason or simply forgets. I’ll have to learn to say No. Tonight is our official turn at this club and I am down to do the October meeting at the Ladies Group so I hope that will be it for this year.
Our dinner is about ready now so I’d better start dishing up. Enjoy the rest of the day.

I had BIL here today but he did'nt stay long. He tried to get the printer to work but could'nt and said he would do it whe he had more time. He did take four bags of rubbish away for me so that was good.
I also had trouble with Ebay and have been trying to sort that out but will have to ring tomorrow now.

After I dropped off my cards Cynth and I went for a coffee to the local garden centre. good job we didn't want breakfast or lunch as we could only have had either if we had booked. I suppose because it is mothers' day
I did an hour in the garden when we got back. Gave the lawn a high cut and cut back some of the dead clematis and other bits. Aching now but it was a job that needed doing

Afternoon all,
BIL arrived really early this morning and we tried to sort my printer out as it won't print the things I want it to. He only left a little while ago and then I got lost in the garden for a while.
I also accepted an offer for my minitures on Ebay but I found it was to the US and it would have cost me £9 to send it which was half the price of the items so I had to cancel that.
I am now sitting here with a small coffee and a hot cros bun.
Hope all the aches and pains have gone from those suffering.

Good morning all. One load of washing in the drier, off in a minute with cynth to run my cards for charity down to my friend, otherwise nothing planned for today. It is sunny and 8 degrees but doesn't feel very warm.
Yes vera the daffodils were very pretty just a shame we couldn't park and do the walk as I only manages a couple of photos out of the car window.
goodness Sainsbury's was a bit haywire this time, still you came off ok in the end.

It sounds as though you had a good day out AnnG in spite of the parking problems. The daffodils must have looked very pretty.
Your morning sky sounded lovely too Gwyn. Sadly all we got here were grey clouds :-(
I hope you can get your bp tablets sorted out soon Mandy.
This morning I set to and gave all the kitchen work surfaces a really good clean. They're constantly being wiped down and sprayed but after a while they seem to develop a slightly greasy looking sheen. I tackled them with Fairy Power Spray, E-cloths and lots of elbow grease. I decided not to put the electric veg steamer back on the surface as I don't often use it much now but that meant finding a space elsewhere for it, so I ended up re-organising a cupboard in the kitchen and another in the utility. Before I knew it the morning had gone.
This afternoon a lovely young woman delivered my Sainsbury order. Well, I think my shopper must have been on the G&Ts before she picked my goods. I had ordered a lot of stamps thinking I would save a few pennies before they go up in price. An email prior to delivery told me that 2nd class stamps were not available. I had ordered £38 worth of 1st class stamps. I was only sent 2 books of 4 stamps (£7.60) but I had still been charged £38. I had ordered 1 pack of baby plum tomatoes which apparently weren't available so I had been sent 2 packs of cherry tomatoes instead; except they obviously were available because I received the baby plum tomatoes I had ordered and the 2 packs of cherry toms that I hadn't ordered. Neither the delivery lady nor I could quite puzzle out what had happened but she decided that she would organize for everything that was wrong to be refunded but said I should keep the items. I have had an email from Sainsbury's saying they are refunding me £40. So I have got 8 x 1st class stamps and 2 packs of cherry toms for nothing.
It's rained on and off all day but it looks as though it might stay dry tomorrow. I hope so as OH wants to take out three grasses, 2 from the back garden and 1 from the strip by the garage. We've got 5 of these tall grasses in the back and it's too many in our little patch. I've told him which 2 to take out so it still looks balanced but I am not sure he was really listening so I'd better be on hand to supervise.

Not long back from the daffodil run. It was a good day out although because it was advertised for Daffodil weekend at Kemply and the two village walks join up, although we wanted to walk the Dymock short walk it was still impossible to find a place to park. It has been too wet for them to open up the usual fields.
Anyway we managed to park near the church at Dymock so we could go in there and have coffee (I had tea the coffee was instant and smelt cheap) and cake. Then somebody in the church said there would be a car park in the woods at Kempley. But again no fields open.
However to get there we did drive the daffodil walk excluding the woods of course and it was so beautiful with the wild daffodils lining both sides of the lanes and the woods covered in them. And some of the fields as well. They are very small wild daffodils about the size of Tete a Tete but very delicately primrose coloured. the patches of normal daffodils next to them looked almost garish.
We managed to find a roadside space outside one of the Kempley churches. So tiny built 1130 and the walls and ceiling are covered with frescoes that have been uncovered, thought to be from the twelfth century. The joists in the roof are also the original joists. there was a very knowledgeable man in the church talking about it which was interesting. then outside in a small hut was another man with all sorts of historical information about Kempley.
He showed us record that have been done on the graveyard with a list of all graves with names and information. Then in a ring binder every frave is photographed and listed with all the information on it. It would be very useful to anyone researching family history.
all the time we were in Dymock and Kempley the sun shone and the sky was blue. Travelling there and travelling home in the car the rain lashed down.
We then drove back to Roses garden centre next to the large Newent GS and had lunch. reminded me a lot of T because we used to go there for lunch and it was always a gamble how long you would have to wait and if everything was available. Well, fair enough, it was late for lunch but as we stood in the queue, us four and one other, they gradually ran out of everything. 2 in front of me wanted quiche. that just ran out so they had jackets. I wanted bacon and brie toastie, bacon had run out so I had brie tomato and pesto toastie (which was very nice). The last of our four wanted jacket and 'no more hot food sorry' so she had a sort of ploughmans but with a cheese scone. It looked very nice. It was just so typical T would have loved it!! Got home around three to find a bouquet of flowers from son and family.

Morning all,
11 degrees here and we've had a few spots of rain .
Anng hope you enjoy the daffodils and you don't get any rain ,they will look lovely if the sun shines for you.
Feeling a bit better today as I haven't had one of the new blood pressure tablets, yesterday I was so uncomfortable with bad indigestion and heart burn , every time I have new tablets do they give me indigestion. The pharmacist said to try to carry on with them unless you really can't , I told her when she rang that they made me so tired and now with the indigestion I just had to stop ,she said there's lots more I can try , I go on Wednesday for another blood test so I'll see if the doctor can give me something else . When I first had the statin I had indigestion with them ,there must be something in certain tablets that I can't tolerate.
Oh suns out now .

Good morning Ann and everyone. A really pretty sky here early this morning, - bright pink clouds in a pale turquoise blue sky to our East. It's gone dull now though and I think that ,like Ann, we are in for some rain. I've also got a busy day ahead, so I hope the weather doesn't hinder us too much.
A visit to see wild daffodils sounds lovely. I hope the weather is kind to you, so that you see them at their best and are able to take photos if you want to.
Hoping all those with various aches and pains have had a restful night, so that they are able to enjoy the day.

Good morning all 8 degrees here and dry. Hope it stays dry as a small group of us are hopefully going to Dymock near Gloucester to see the wild daffodils. Unfortunately showers are forecast so we just have to hope they miss us.
Yesterday friend took me to Dobbies where we had a very nice breakfast. I then bought three plants to replace the three in pots that the frost got. One is a Geum but I can't remember the other two. Also bought some sweet peas in a pot as I don't want to be bothered with seeds with going away in April.
She then took me to the Tesco where T and I used to do our shopping. I had forgotten how big it was after our little one near here. Anyway I got my shopping for this weekend so don't need an on line shop tomorrow. She got her shopping as well so we were both sorted. It was a good day out. I enjoyed it and the breakfast which was quite large lasted me all day with just soup and sandwiches in the evening.

Put the washing out this morning while the sun was out a bit.
Did a little bit of painting and getting stuff ready to paint and then BIL popped in at lunchtime to pick up a bit for the mower that he had left behind.
Then I did some casting and had all my mold ready to do and with him coming it put me all back. Did'nt get the other things cast I wanted to. Then I had some lunch and watched yesterdays Doctors and then I did some ironing.
Now I am going to have a nice cuppa.

Good afternoon all
Another grey, wet day here.though it is quite warm. I had a strange night as I kept waking up but going back to sleep quickly. I think it was the discomfort in my back waking me up. I don't feel very rested and I've done nothing but yawn all morning.
I wanted to wash the floors and go into town but decided my back wasn't up to that so I haven't done much at all, just showered and washed my hair and generally faffed about, added a couple of bits to my Sainsbury's order and done a little bit of online admin.
After we have had our lunchtime snack I must plant up my sweet pea seeds as I have soaked them overnight so they need to be planted now. The only other thing to do is prepare and cook tonight's dinner. It's going to be fish pie and I took the fish mixture out of the freezer first thing. We haven't had that for a while so it will make a change.

Wonder how Mandy is getting on with her new pills?
The wifi was out this morning which meant the heating did'nt come on so I got up toa cold house. Once I had seen it was green to go Echo turned it on for me.
