Dos'nt that make you cross when they cancel appointments. Hope she's in tomorrow for you Mandy.
Suns out now and its 11 degrees and pc is telling me there's a record high.
Shopping been and no subs. All put away now and I think I'll have a hoover and maybe do some miniatures. Also need to fill the bird feeders up.
I keep yawning..................................

Good morning all. Another night when, like Mel, I didn't sleep well. I hope I have not settled into that for more nights. I eventually got up just after 7. I suppose I had about 4 hours sleep altogether. Like ann I seem to go straight off to sleep then wake around 1-2am. Lots of dreams again but not really anything worrying on my mind. Well, on the 'count dow' for 3 weeks until my ops for the BCCs on 25th March but wasn't actually thinking about that last night.
sudddenly thought this morning that it seemed a while since my last chiropodist appointment. when I checked, I had not written it on my calendar and it is Thursday. and here I thought I had a free week.
vera it is so annoying when things like the TV stop working isn't it? It sits there in the corner of the room, reliable that it will go when we press a button. Easy to forget they can go wrong and inconvenient when they do. I hope it is easily fixed.

Did'nt have a good night and hope yours was better. Got up for the loo and could'nt go back to sleep and then I got hot nd I even turned over to see if I could drop off that way. I could hear the dawn chorus and that did'nt help. Anyway I was thirsty so I got up.

Evening all
Weather wise it has been a beautiful day, perfect for hanging out washing and doing a bit in the garden but I haven't managed either as I have had one of my periodic funny tums. This one was worse than usual so I haven't been able to eat much, just a slce of wholemeal bread at 1 pm and a bowl of porridge at 7 pm. Now the TV won't work! It's just one thing after another at the moment. The TV isn't old, it's one our daughter gave us and was working fine but a couple of weeks ago it began taking a long while to start up. Now it doesn't come on at all. Secretly I wonder if OH has been fiddling around with the remotes again but I haven't said anything to him other than suggesting he calls in a TV engineer.
It's not all been bad today. I did manage to pull myself together enough to go with OH to get the car and he drove it home. He was very pleased with it and, although it was expensive, felt they had done a really good job with it.
Mel, I have got plug in night lights on my landing and in the hall. They provide enough of a glow to see what you are doing but aren't too bright. I started using them when my first granddaughter moved from a cot to a bed and I was worried in case she got out of bed in the night and was stumbling round in the dark. She's now 28 and I think we have only had to replace one of them in all those years.
Lovely to see your first butterfly of the year Annx, it makes you feel that spring is on the way.
Mandy, I hope you are beginning to feel better now you are taking a lower dose of the bp tablets.
I was going to stay online and order myself a new lap tray but I am just too tired now so I think I am going to get myself a hot drink and tuck myself up in bed.

Evening All,
It's been sunshine all day here, so we were up early and went to a garden centre further away and had a browse and a breakfast bap with three items. The floods seem to have mostly gone off the roads, but the ditches were brimming and fields still partly covered.
Before I forget I saw my first butterfly this year and it was a Small Tortoiseshell. It was a surprise as I usually see the Yellow Brimstone ones first.
I'm going to sort out and decide which of those lights to get Mel. I did wonder about the greenhouse, but decided the heat in there and a battery light wouldn't be good together. Tomorrow I might have a good run out and have two places in mind if I'm up early enough and foot and knees seem up to it! OH has an online meeting so will be talking loud so I find it hard to concentrate on doing much. So not to disturb his meeting I have to tiptoe everywhere and can't use the noisy hoover or do washing (even if I wanted to!). He's out every day this week and next and has already arranged a lengthy trip to footie on Saturday, so unless I sort something it'll just be me and the HW for the next fortnight!
AnnG have have had a few dreams I can't remember and not slept well lately. I seem to drop off ok then wake about 4.00am and can't settle to sleep again. You have got a lot done today, more than me.
I hope Vera and her OH managed to get the car home ok today and has her missing tablets now.

Did'nt mean to do that .
Washing is on the line and its warm out but still no sun here but its quite bright.
Need to feed myself.
I have also cleaned out my mealworms and given them fresh carrot and bran. Put what was in the underneath chamber in a box as that should have eggs in and small worms. Got to get them going for spring and all the baby birds that will need feeding. I hav'nt seen Jenny lately or heard her but I know there are three pairs of Robins about. Iv'e seen two pairs under the bird feeder and a pair down by my shed.

15 degrees and bright sunshine now so I walked down and posted the birthday card for one of my Grandsons. Legs are stiff today with trailing round B&Q with my friend yesterday. So it was a slow walk using my stick.

Morning all,
Had a nice bright sunny morning so up I got and put the washer on . It finished a few moments ago and the suns disappeared and the sky is grey. Pc telling me temps to drop and its 12 degrees.
Added to my Asda order and taken a couple of things off. They are not doing my decaf coffee anymore and it was n order on rollback at £4 instead of £7 so thought I would get one in as a spare. I have only just opened the last one I had on spoecial price.
Sorry you had a bad night Anng was anything on your mind??
Annx those lights are ideal for in the hall to the loo as you only need a small one there and a warm white one would be not as bright as a white one. I looking for places now to put more. They would be great for people with stairs. I'm thinking bathroom or hall now as I hate bright lights when you're half asleep and have to go to the loo. I do [put my solar light in the hall and the bathroom but with these lights I would have to bother to put the lights in there or to charge them up in the bedroom and change them round as the sun goes round like I do now.

A beautiful bright morning here. Such a welcome change after a mostly wet weekend.
I could do with getting going in the garden,to make use of our increased price bin (£63.90 this year), but I'm too busy with other matters today, so will hope for some more dry bright weather, before next week's collection.
Your mention of the postbox AnnG reminds me that I must walk passed our nearest one, to see if there is any information. From passing in the car, I have seen it all taped over for several days now and covered in black polythene. Someone said we are getting a replacement box, which will be solar, so I need to check before I actually want to use the post. I hope you find a dry time to walk today.

Good morning all 9 degrees and very grey here looks like rain soon. I need to get a card to a post box so I will have to wait for a dry spot. I didn't sleep very well last night, lots of dreamomg amd tossing and turning. Strange when that happens and there doesn't seem to be a reason for it.
That is annoying about your delivery van Ann. Can you complain to the customer services. could you temporarily when an order is due, put your car at the entrance to the drive? Or would that putit in more danger.. Does the driver need to turn when they get to yours?

Evening All,
It's been a better day than expected and no rain thank goodness. It was lying in puddles on our gravel last night. I didn't sleep well, mostly due to thumping music I could hear till 1.30am. I could still hear it when I put the TV on. OH said it would be Ramadan celebrations at one of the big houses on the main road. Their huge, long gardens back up quite near to our close.
Food order came this afternoon and despite me telling the west indian young chap last time not to park on our drive and risk knocking the neighbour's wall what did he do, but back up our drive within an inch of the back of my car! I started to tell him to be careful driving out and he said he knew so he had chosen to ignore me which is annoyiing. It would only need his foot to slip on a pedal and my car would be damaged. They had sent a sub Called Montezuma's 100% cocoa for my usual 90% chocolate and I thought it would be ok, but it was really horrible!! So horrid I had to spit it out. There were 4 bars so I've asked for a refund on 3. Yes I worry about coming across floodwater at night when the roads are wet and shiny anyway. One ford across a brook not far from us and known as Watery Gate is notorious for flooding and there are always warnings but people still get stuck. Earlier this month a photo showed one car up to the top of it's roof in floodwater with a Boot's little delivery van next to it.
Oh Vera you are really being messed about with your tablets. It's good you are going to change your pharmacy I think. We can do it online on our surgery's website which saves calling at the surgery. What a mess that tea would have made everywhere, a bit like glitter at Christmas. I hope all goes well collecting the car tomorrow. You will be glad to get it back.
AnnG you have the same problem seeing your lower rail of clothes then. It's annoying when you pull the wrong top out and have to hook it back without the hook moving and tangling with it's neighbours.
Mel I think a motion sensitive one would be handy in our hall by the bathroom door as well. We have changed most of our lighting to be brighter now we are getting older and at night when OH nips to the bathroom the hall is like Las Vegas and the bright light round the door is like 'The Shining' film and can wake me up.

Vera poor trainee lad coming in front of you ready for a fight :-D I am wondering what is going to happen when I go for my next lot of pills. They are going to want to know why the long gap since my last visit. I am the. Going to explain that last time I went in I was handed two bags which when I checked outside was two lots of the monthly pills. Ow I immediately realised that this was because the time before they were not able to find the prescription it was when they went over to the new system and I had to go back the next day to collect the pills. I guess I was. Is given the Pills that had been lost plus the current ones. So I kept them. If I had returned them they would have had to be destroyed.

It’s been drizzle and light rain all day and it’s felt a lot colder than the temperature indicated. It seems so changeable from one day to the next.
Your big breakfast sounded good Mel. I love the idea of cooked breakfasts but find if I have anything like that before lunchtime at the earliest it upsets my stomach. If we have visitors OH will cook a huge meal for everyone else while I nibble on a bit of toast. The light you have bought for the corner by your kettle sounds useful though I don’t need it as I’ve got strip lighting wired in under all my kitchen wall cupboards. They aren’t motion activated but immediately by the door into the kitchen there is a strip of four switches and one of those turns on the lights under the wall units. Have you heard whether bil managed to get photos of the long eared owl?
The flooding in your area doesn’t sound much fun Annx. I hate coming round a bend in the road and finding myself facing flooding as you can never really be sure how deep it is. It hasn’t been too bad round here. We have quite wide water meadows round the river in this area and they take the bulk of the water before it floods the roads.
The bingo night at your son’s school raised a good amount Mandy. It always sounds a good school with supportive parents. I love the accessories you’re making for the rabbits. All these little extras make them a bit special.
Well, you are right AnnG. I was aggravated at the chemist yesterday. They seem to have gone to pot completely. They have plenty of staff but they all seem to be very young and they just don’t have the experience to cope with anything that isn’t completely straightforward. Yesterday I had a young chap serving me. I explained the situation (again!), told him they would have had a message from the surgery and asked him to check if my tabs were ready. I watched him checking at snail’s pace all the made up and bagged prescriptions in two deep drawers. No joy with that so back he went to the computer and then informed me that I had a batch of these tablets on 6th February so wasn’t due anymore yet. I just looked at him and very calmly said “You are saying you gave me 28 pills on 6th February. February has 28 days so those pills should not have run out before 6th March. They ran out yesterday on 27th February. Now I would like to speak to the pharmacist please.” I felt sorry for the poor lad as he was probably an untrained “trainee” on minimum wage but I had just about had enough by then. Anyway he scuttled off and came back a few minutes later and handed me a bag saying that the pharmacist said I could have the tablets as though they were doing me a great favour. I did make a bit of a show of opening the bag and checking that I had the right pills. When I got home I checked my diary and the posts on here around 6th February and there is no way I could have been at the pharmacy on that day. I had an opticians appointment and had to go by bus as the car broke down the night before. Then I spent a good part of the day helping OH to organize getting it repaired and early evening the breakdown truck came to take the car away.
I’ve been buzzing about today trying to get ahead a bit as I have another busy week. Bedding has been changed but not yet washed. Towels have been washed and dried. I’ve sorted an order out with Sainsbury’s for delivery Tuesday morning and cooked a full roast dinner I’ve also helped OH sort out some banking that he had got in a muddle with. In fact he is not having a good day – nothing wrong, he is just being a man. First he overfilled a tea caddy by emptying a whole packet of loose tea into it. He then plonked it down on the work surface without making sure it was balanced properly and it fell over. The pottery caddy just rolled across the surface so didn’t fall and break but the tea went everywhere. Can you imagine how far 250g of loose tea leaves can travel? We’ve swept and hoovered and wiped down but I think I’ll be coming across little black tea leaves for weeks.
And then there’s the saga of the keys……………perhaps that’s a story for another day.
A quick wave ~~~~~~~~ to Gwyn and EOS and anyone else who looks in and I am on my way.
