Morning Anng and all,

We have a sunny morning but its still cold out there and pc says 7 degrees and sunny with a pic of a clear round yellow sun.

Thinking of you today Anng the first year is always very hard so sending love. <3

Have to do the shop for the paper today then hopfully get on with my project. I must remember some milk as we are running low and have to get round to Tuesday for the delivery.

Hope the others slept well. I only got up once in the night too.

Good morning all, a bit grey here but PC says 6 degrees. I slept well last night and woke around 0745 which is good for me, got up once for the loo early.

Today a year ago was my lovely Tony's funeral. Hopefully I can now go forward without counting the days, weeks, months. It is the last in a year of difficult days. I have a friend coming for coffee so hopefully a nice chat and a laugh with her will eliminate the sad memories.

Vera we shall expect a photo of your earrings after your birthday of course. :-)

It's half term here now too Mandy so OH has no meetings next week. He's had so many lately it will give him chance to catch up.

My sister wouldn't want me to be sad, but it makes you reflect and reminds you to make the most of your own lives and be grateful even for the smallest, everyday pleasures we have.

Vera I do like the sound of your earrings as you describe them. You will look the bees knees in them. I must get on with sorting my kitchen cupboards and drawers as well, but I didn't want to do too much after our short walk.

Now I must do more of the Asda order for Sunday before I forget again.

Ann a day for memories of your sister <3

Vera it's Nanny's Garden ,just got to decide where to put it .

Katie is here she came after school and son will pick her up later when dil finishes work .
The children are now on half term .

Anng I see you've got your next jigsaw lined up , we have done a little on ours but we've been out in the garden so have really got into it , a 500 piece will be easier to do .

A day of sad memories for you Ann. Thinking of you <3

It sounds as though both you and Gwyn have had lovely walks. I didn't get out again and must start walking more. I don't think I'm lazy - I just keep finding other things to do. This morning I gave three of the kitchen cupboards a good clean out and sorted out a lot of glassware and this afternoon I had quite a big order from Sainsbury's delivered.

These auto-correction tools are a law unto themselves. I am now wondering if Mandy's sign says "Mandy's Garden" or "Nanny's Garden". Could be either I suppose.

AnnX <3 <3 sad memories for you, yes what a shock it always is when it is so sudden. ((((Hugs for you today)))))
Sounds like you had a lovely walk. It was a lovely day here so I walked down to the book stall which is only on once a month now. We are told to take as many books as we want so
I took four but one will go back as when I checked I had read it before. I also got a 500 piece jigsaw for if and when I finish the monster I have.

<3 <3 <3 :-D :-D HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MANDY! :-D :-D <3 <3 <3

It sounds like you have had a nice variety of some lovely presents and cards Mandy. I chuckled at the sign and thought they had picked one with the wrong name by mistake! lol. What kind of cake did they bring that you had with your coffee? Great idea to sit back and do nothing the rest of the day.......we ladies are always on the go! Yes, we will want to see the hat!

I had decided I would varnish the birdfeeder with 2 coats before it is used this time Mel, to help stop it rusting. Some vaseline on the screws should help too. I repainted the current one with Humbrol enamel a few years ago but it has still rusted. I am ordering the lamb with Sunday's order as I forgot to add it last time. Your OH is as cheeky as mine with these quips! You were quick off the mark with a good reply!

Gwyn we went for a nice, sunny walk this morning through a little spinney near my old house and across the old rail line to the canal. There are snowdrops in the spinney now and we saw (well heard first!) a pair of Woodpeckers building a new home! Then we saw a squirrel that amused us as he was running ahead but keeping on the path edging all the time.

OH's old teacher and neighbour of his parents for many years has passed away we saw in the paper. He was my age when he came to OH's parents funerals but used a walker then.

It's 3 years today since my sister didn't wake up. What a shock that was and a shame as she was 9 years younger than me.

Thank you Anng and Gwyn.

Vera this tablet has a mind of its own lol I thought I had corrected it as I saw it had put Nancy .
Sister just called and dropped a card and pressie in they didn't stay as they had their daughter in the car and were dropping her home , my pressie was 18 little Yankie candle tea lights with a tea light holder .

Happy Birthday Mandy <3

Sounds like you are having a lovely day.

I'm just back from a lovely walk with a friend to see the masses of snowdrops growing wild in a Country Park.
The sky was so blue and the sun was so warm on our backs... A lovely day after a frosty start.

Why does your sign say Nancy’s Garden or is that the auto-correct deciding that’s what you meant?

Morning AnnG and all

There’s a heavy frost here but the sun is shining and making the roof tiles all sparkly.

:-D :-D :-D :-D <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY <3 :-D :-D :-D :-D

I hope you have a lovely day and you get completely spoiled.

I haven’t any plans for today apart from the Sainsbury’s delivery this afternoon. No subs and just one thing missing but that’s because I had said I didn’t want a sub for that item if they hadn’t got it..

I’ve been up over an hour so I’d better get dressed and have some breakfast.

Morning all,

Very bright and sunny this morning and everywhere is white with frost. I saw it last night before I went to bed so knew it would still be here this morning.

Nothing planned for today just to roast a small lamb joint tonight.

Ann have you tried the lamb chump joint yet???? Its lovely.

Hoping to get some craft done today.

AnninGlos Report 11 Feb 2022 08:42

Good morning all, slept okish, did wake up more than once, time to ditch the third pillow I think, woke with neck ache.

Dry and bright here, no frost on roofs but it looks as though car windscreens might be frozen. One of the days I am pleased not to be going to work. (actually I would have been there an hour now.) Nothing on today although friend may call bringing her tame DIY man to see if he could make a new loft door for me.
