So that really goes to show that you must have tested negative when you actually had the infection.. so, as you tested negative you could have gone out into the shops when you were really positive. Or did you not test when you had lost your voice? Hope you both feel better soon anyway.

Do you think the Meena story is dragging out too long and getting a bit unbelievable.

Annx Report 9 Mar 2022 14:58

Afternoon on this sunny breezy day......well it is here anyway.

Just lost my post when I noticed a bit of my paint on the keypad on the laptop and flicked it off!

Both tested positive today, but we both feel better than we did. I had no voice again this morning but as long as my bad throat doesn't develop into the nasty chest infections I can get and have to battle to get antibiotics for, I can put up with it. I must have caught it off OH before we knew he had it and took precautions. We also forgot he went to a school meeting last Thursday and the Head teacher has emailed today to say she has covid so he could have caught it there as well. Flipping lifting of restrictions!!

Mandy I'm not the only one that loses the plot when they jump forwards and backwards in programmes then! I hate it when they do it early on before I've even got a grasp of what's going on. Yes I miss Frank, Gill and Island posting too.

AnnG I have watched Emmerdale since it was Emmerdale Farm! I just rely on the recordings for it lately as it is all over the place. So many twists and turns in the Meena story. Surely she would be in trouble for not telling the whole truth (as she wants people to think) in the first place. Mind you, there were a lot of 'no comments' when she was interviewed.

Mel enjoy your F&C. Yum yum! We had decided to have them for OH's birthday tomorrow, but our appetites are NIL at the moment, so they will have to be a treat for another day. How many parts are there to your project.............or are you not telling!

I need to photograph a special delivery, to be signed for, letter envelope for OH that was delivered to a wrong address despite the address typed on the envelope being correct! The wrong recipient had written on the front that it was not their address (which they wrote on the envelope as well). I knew this would happen when they named 2 roads the same as ours in another village and the city. Are the Royal Mail still obtaining signatures since covid, as the postman just left the letter outside the front door for me? Special delivery with a signature needed costs more doesn't it.

Morning Anng and all,

Bright then dark here this morning and I think its been raining too. Its 7 degrees and mostly clear by the pc.

Oh has ordered F & C's for tonight so I only have to go and fetch it so no cooking. Am hoping to get on today but should do some hoovering first of the carpets and a suck up of spider webs as when the suns shines I can see them.

AnninGlos Report 9 Mar 2022 07:29

good morning all. 6 degrees here at the moment and fairly bright. Up at 7am again, It seems if I sleep reasonably well my body is ready to get up at sevenish. Nothing planned for today, but, as I have the garden interests group meeting here tomorrow, I need to tidy the conservatory and the patio and dust etc the lounge/dining room.

I keep getting huge bumble bees in the conservatory, they get in even if the doors are shut and no way can I find how they get in. I did find one yesterday that has got caught in a cobweb in a corner behind over wintering tubs poor thing so I have to go on a web search today out there.

Mandy I am sure they intend it to be permanent. I just watch recorded programmes I have no wish to watch more than an hour of news.

Glad you all liked the little pigs :-D

Ann hope OH's test is negative tomorrow.

Anng we've been watching the one show after our Look East local programme why they have to keep changing things I don't know , is it a permanent thing this longer news .
I started to watch The House but when it started going backwards and forwards I gave up on it .

I know only Mandy watches Emmerdale but this mucking aroundvwith the schedules is a pain, just so we can have more news, more of the same.always depressing, rarely any good news. Well in my opinion.

I thought it was cold too AnnG. I'm having the same layers on the bed as last night.......can always chuck them off if I get hot.

Yes the pigs in blankets are so cute! :-D

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 8 Mar 2022 18:27

Those pigs in blankets are lovely arn't they? I love the colours too and they all have their own expressions. I must get down to the post office van with this parcel for Mandy.

AnninGlos Report 8 Mar 2022 18:16

Love the pigs Mandy, so cute.

Ann I watched the house as well. I have read the book four years ago but can only vaguely remember it. I quite enjoyed it as well.
Hope your OH soon tests negative.
It is cold here, trying not to turn the heating up. But might give in soon.

I have a hair appointment too in the next fortnight AnnG and hadn't thought about the staff not wearing masks now. I hope mine still does as she lives on her own and wouldn't want to get it. It seems we will all be at more risk now.

Another early night for us I think. OH can do a test tomorrow as it will be his 5th day. I'll be glad when he stops being infectious as he doesn't think before he starts touching things let alone remember to wipe them afterwards. I'm following him round all the time with a cloth (at a distance!).

I watched the first episode of The House last night, a 4 part thriller. It jumps to the past which I hate, but I'm quite enjoying it.

It was a very cold walk to the hairdresser as the wind was icy.. This time none of the staff were wearing masks which was a bit off putting especially as one more has just gone down with it and the girl who did mine has not had it. I had my mask on but not sure how much they protect us when the others are not wearing them. Just have to keep fingers crossed. I suppose if I get it, I won't know the culprit, could be the bus last friday, yesterday at Evesham or today at the hairdresser and then local garden centre. Cases seem to be rocketting up all over England according to the published figures, gone up a lot since the end of restrictions.

Had a nice chat with my friend at the garden centre I was out early from the hairdressers and she had driven round to the post office so she picked me up as I was about to walk home. Which saved me a walk in the cold wind.

Missed you there Mandy! I think you are right about people not bothering as much, especially now there's no legal requirement to self isolate. As a contact I don't even need to self isolate either. OH said a lot of teachers are off with covid. You've got a lot done today already! It's nice when you can dry sheets outside with a good blow.

Morning All,

I slept well, but unusual for me I needed a fleece throw and my fluffy dressing gown on the bed as well as a hot water bottle to get warm. My voice had gone again this morning and I have a cough, but tested negative again so that was good. I had to throw one test away as I just couldn't squeeze a second drop on the test strip. They don't give you much liquid! I feel a bit brighter today, less achey and OH seems perkier and less of a cough so we'll have to see how we go over the next few days. He will test himself again after the 5 days they say.

We got our first test packs a while ago Mel in case we got symptoms and then in case OH had to test himself before meetings, but they soon changed to zoom ones instead until just now. I ordered the last 2 packs online like Vera said and I see the free cut off date is end of April not March as I said. It seems a very good service and saves you going out to get them. Your girls had a night out then last night. :-D I wonder what time they came out this morning.

Vera it's a nuisance that your doctors couldn't find a reason for your pain, but at least he has excluded the bones! I hope the chiropodist can come up with something more helpful for you to try.

It's bright and sunny here too AnnG so your walk to the hairdresser should be pleasant and be nice to get your hair shipshape again.

Better get on with paperwork now.

Morning all

Nice and sunny here but there's a very cold wind, I've stripped the bed and the washings all blowing nicely .
I've cleaned both bathrooms hoovered through done my veg for later and mixed the batter for a toad in the hole .

Vera I hope you can get some help from the physio muscle spasms are very painful .

Ann how are you both today I hope you haven't come down with it , all that time you've both kept yourself free of it too but I think now people don't test as much we stand more chance of getting it ,I still wear my mask when I go into a shop .

Anng I think our Roys store have those propergaters, they look very handy for a window sill I use to use the window sill in our conservatory for my plants but now we have the vertical slats I've lost a bit of sill so they won't fit on now .

Mel I noticed Granchester is back on and I said about Gardeners world starting again and the spin off of Father Brown so a few new things to watch coming on .

Hope Island ,Frank and Gill are OK do miss Frank's posts pity he hasn't sorted out why he can't post on here now .

Morning Anng Vera and all,

Not as bright here today as it was yesterday morning but the washing machines on anyway. There always seems something to wash when you look in the bin.

Thanks for the info on the test kits I may have to order some just incase.

Hope oh is not too achey and coughy today Ann and it will soon all be over for both of you. I hope you can manage to stay free of it.

Did'nt shut the big girls in last night as I forgot doing my craft so they were all out this morning pecking around their pen when I got up and looked out of the window.

Pc says 9 degrees and partly sunny but the trees are still moving so it windy too.

Good morning AnnG and all

It’s cold but bright and sunny today. A bit of sun makes everything look a bit more cheerful.

I hope you are still OK Ann and that OH doesn’t feel too bad.

Enjoy your walk to the hairdresser AnnG. I need to ring and make an appointment soon as my hair is getting long again. I’ll look out for those propagators when we next go to a garden centre. As to back scans/xrays - xrays only show bones so are not usually suggested for muscle problems. I’m not sure about scans. The doc did examine every bit of my spine and checked for movement and numbness, particularly in my lower body, and also checked the pain hadn’t moved to the chest area. I’ll see what physio have to say later.

Better get moving and get showered as I’m off to chiropody later. I hope I’ll find out why she is leaving and whether she will be replaced at the centre where she rents a room.

Good morning all, quite bright here at the moment so I am hoping it stays dry for my walk to the hairdressers. It is only one degree but can't see any frost. After the hairdresser it is hopefully coffee at our local garden centre.

Ann hope OH is on the mend and can shake the cough. Also hoping you are staying negative. (well you know what I mean, positive about being negative I think!)

Vera, yes the propagators look interesting a tray and four individual blocks of 'cells' - quite deep) for seeds so you can sew different varieties in one tray this part is all green clear plastic then the lid is clear plastic. They are see through so you can check the roots. they are made by Gro-Sure and sell for £3.99 each at the till with my Blue diamond card they came up at £6.95 for the 2. I just have to find a windowsill to put them on where they won't get forgotten.

A nuisance that the GP could not be more helpful. I imagine back pain is one of the most common things they see and one of the hardest to diagnose. Might be a good idea to see the physio again but, to me, exercise is all very well if the person setting the exercise knows what sort of back pain they are treating. And all very well to say keep taking the pain killers, not wonder people get addicted to them. The thing is you want to know the cause. Have you ever had your back scanned/Xrayed?
