Thanks for the reminder Mandy. I got it all recorded and am really looking forward to watching it. The Aldi pasta sauce with your additions sounds very tasty and easy to do and something OH would love. :-) I must remember to clean the bedroom window inside now I've nearly finished the sorting in there.

Funny boy he is wishing he could get a biscuit out of that tin. You can see from the picture his mind working. If I look at it for so long perhaps mum will give in and let me have a biscuit.

that is strange Vera as I am sure you will have done exactly how you did it before. Maybe there is a blockage somewhere (lost any socks lately?) Hope it is an easy answer but a bit od a worry for you. Sorry you had another sleepless night.

I have washed the bird feeders and filled them up too.Fed the chickens and picked up more leaves in the corner of the orchard as they were over the snowdrops and my crocus which I like to see each year.

Washed the plastic holly wreath again and just letting it dry to see what else needs going over on it. If its wet I can't see the white stuff has come off when its wet as it was up the potting sheds and the walls are either painted with lime or distemper. Thats a blast from the past!!! I don't think we have distemper now. It was horrid stuff to paint over with modern paint as the new paint would'nt stick to it and just peeled off. I had it in the cottage and tried to paint a small area and it kept coming off till I sanded it right down and washed it well after and then painted it.

Enjoy your walk to the post box while the suns out Anng as it could well disappear this afternoon.

I am now going to do lunch. Oh is up the caravan with the pressure washer washing all the green off the van and windows.

You must have needed your sleep AnnG. I had a dreadful night again but can’t work out why. I was comfortable and warm and my mind wasn’t buzzing or worrying about anything. I gave up at 4 am and got up for an hour. I eventually dozed off sometime around 5.30 and woke when OH came in with a cup of tea at 8 am. So I am a bit heavy headed this morning.

I have managed to do several jobs. I did 3 loads of washing but haven’t hung it outside. It’s sunny but cold and hardly any wind so it won’t dry outside. Then I tidied a bedroom that has been used as a dumping ground and that looks a lot better now.

I also set my machine up for a “maintenance wash” which I do every 3 months. It’s an automatic programme which basically does a wash with no clothes in the drum and only using a minute amount of detergent, no more than 10% of the normal amount. OH suddenly called me and said there is foam all over the floor in the uti. Well, I don’t know what has gone wrong but this foam was everywhere. He has mopped it up for me but I can't stop the programme part way through so I have to keep running out to check it’s alright.

Oh, here comes OH with our lunchtime sandwich. Better check the washing machine before I sit down.

Well I have cleaned the bathroom (except the bath which is only used as a shwer and is more difficult for me to clean these days), hoovered the lounge and dining room and done a load of washiing, half of it dry and the other half in the dryer. Sunny today but it is much too cold for washing to dry outside. Also filled the bird feeders. I did dust the end of last week but I might have another go round downstairs in a minute. Ought to walk to the post box as well but will see if I do that later.

Cleaned both loos and a wash has just finished so that needs to go on the line before the sun goes round.

good morning, late up today. frosty out but not too hard, lovely sunny morning. I woke at 5.30, back to sleep until 0645 then back to sleep until 9am, must have needed a long sleep to make up for Saturday night. Better get dressed and put some washing in. nothing planned for today, bathroom needs cleaning though.

Morning All,

We have a very hard frost and everythings white but the sky is blue and the sun is shining so I hope it stays like that and we will have a lovely day.

Nothing planned for today so will see how it pans out. Probably some hoovering and dusting as the sun shows it all up.

While it was nice this morning I cleaned the big girls out and then it was time to get the big breakfast. We had that and then the clouds came over and when we had finished it rained.

Pc says rain to stop with a pic of an umbrella.

Afternoon All,

8 degrees here and cloudy.

Vera our patio is covered with green patches and is slippy too which isn't good. I never got round to jetwashing it last year or the path across the front of the bungalow and was thinking like you to get someone to do the whole lot this year. The driveway needs doing too, but at least OH's car oil drips have stopped.

Oh Mandy, what a shame you didn't manage to get a photo! I wonder what you will make next? It's nice when you have an easy meal to get isn't it.

Asda always send a receipt before delivery too. I have about 5 subs today and 2 items out of stock, one of which is paracetamol, which is annoying, as they stock more than one sort and when I just checked on line, the one I ordered is still shown as being available??

My doc, after talking to a senior partner, suggested I be seen by an endocrinololgist rather than do the tests the radiologist suggested. To go with their report I need fasting blood tests tomorrow morning, followed by a 24 hour urine test when they have the right size receptacle!! In the afternoon I also have an appointment to review one of my meds, but I have managed to move my dental appointment tomorrow to wednesday. I just hope I won't have to wait 6 weeks like for the scan.

I think Asda are here so I'd better roll my sleeves up!

Well Cynth is not back from Cardiff yet, hope they don't leave it too late as the mist is starting to come down.

Tesco order was right on time so that was good and Louise over the road came over for coffee which broke up the day nicely.

I think I am going to pressure wash the patios in the spring. Garden doesn't look too bad. Strangely I can't see any sign of snowdrops (hope I have not dug them up!!)

MillymollyAmanda Report 16 Jan 2022 13:25

Well the sun didn't last long here it's got really dull and looks more like rain now ,I never got outside we sat here talking with our coffee and decided to look at colour charts to pick a colour for the kitchen walls as we hope to decorate in there in the spring .
I did clean the brush head on my hoover though so thats one job done .

Colin was only saying this morning Vera that he needs to get the pressure washer out as some of the paving slabs at the bottom of the garden that don't get a lot of sun and are getting very green .

Oh I can see a bit of blue sky again .

SuffolkVera Report 16 Jan 2022 12:28

Lucky you Mel. There’s not a sign of sun here and the weather app is telling me it’s 6 degrees but feels like 4. I’m looking out on the garden and thinking how mucky the paths and patio are. OH doesn’t like pressure washers but always kept everything beautiful himself. Health problems and bad backs mean he hasn’t been able to keep up with it and it’s now covered with moss, lichen and bird splat. I might be getting it pressure washed this spring whether he likes it or not.

Sainsbury’s have been emailing their receipts all the time I’ve been using them and I noticed Tesco did it the last time I had a delivery from them. It’s quite useful to be able to decide on subs in advance.

I’m going to try and sort out some books for the charity shop this afternoon. I’m a book hoarder, I hate getting rid of them but I’m running out of space. I’ve got a lot of books that are just novels that I’ve picked up at NT places or charity shops and it’s stupid to keep them if I’m never going to read them again.

I’ve just put our chicken in to roast. I’m looking forward to my dinner today as I’ve been off my food a bit lately.

Oh, there’s a gleam of sun :-)

Morning girls and all,

Naughty naughty Mandy not taking a picture of the cowl.

Brighter here this morning and the suns trying to come out. I don't know if its me or the new keyboard or GR but I keep typing things and they disappear and I only get the last few words I have typed so I am posting this now.
