Hope you feel better tomorrow Vera and get some sleep tonight.
My delivery came about 2.30pm it was the new driver who came with a chap last week. Poor fellow had been given 20 drops when other drivers had 15. On his first day on his own. It made no difference to me as I was'nt going out but supposing I was???? Would he have left it?
Nice to hear from Mandy.

You’re having a rough time of it Island. Could your doctor prescribe a different painkiller for you? As paras alone do nothing for me I have a strong co-codomol on prescription but, of course, not everyone can take codeine. I hope things improve very quickly for you.
You seem to be managing well Mandy and it's good to hear from you. Take care not to do too much, too soon.
I had a good day yesterday. I got some washing done and managed to eat a bit more. But it’s been a case of two steps forward and one and a half steps back. The cough came back with a vengeance and I got no sleep again and after a night of coughing my back, ribs and stomach muscles all ache and I am exhausted. On the bright side OH is continuing to improve. He still feels a bit cold so is wearing his thickest, fleece lined jumper but otherwise just has a few snuffles and a slight cough. He had the energy to sweep up a few leaves and change my bedding for me this morning
It’s a nice day again, good gardening weather. I feel very frustrated as there is so much to be done and I don’t have the energy or will to do anything. Oh well, tomorrow’s another day :-)

Oh dear Island, nasty to be woken with the pain, you seem to be doing all you can and I assume you have asked your GP if there is anything else you can do. I just hope it soon eases for you <3
Mandy you are managing well now and hopefully it will continue to improve. Hope you enjoy your F&C lunch and that the chimney is now clean.
Was Annx on here yesterday I don't remember seeing her.
Yes Island did all of about half an hour in the garden. It is very wet but I planted some dutch Iris and some crocus in a pot and also took out all the rest of the tomato plants. I do have some green ones ripening in the conservatory and picked the last of the red ones before pulling up the plants. I have the hairdresser this afternoon. I have also wrapped a few more of the presents that will be going north at the beginning of December with Grandson 2 who is making the trip with the rest of the stuff for Hampshire to be collected by grandson 3.

Morning all,
Sorry to hear you both have covid Vera hope you both feel better soon .
Nice sunny morning here good for the children on half term
Not much pain now until I do my exercises or if I turn my wrists wrong ,it feels very strange when I take the splints off ,I have some splints I wear in the shower as I feel very vulnerable without them and if I were to slip I could do more damage . Bruises on my face have almost gone but I still have a swollen brow and it's sore and i still have a scabby knee.
Chris is coming tomorrow to sweep the chimney and I think we're having a F&C lunch so that will be nice ,we have had some ready meals and done lots of easy things for meals so between us we have managed ok.

Morning AnnG and Mel
Anyone want to buy a leg? :-( The pain eased up yesterday but I took two para's at bed time 'just in case'. Fell asleep easily as per. 4.19 I was woken by excruciating pain which would not ease, tried stretching, rubbing, tens wand, going for a wander. It was too soon to take more pain relief. This went on for almost two hours. Got some more sleep then woken by door at 9. Back on the par's. Sorry to go on but I just can't stand it. There was a time when at least it didn't strike until I was up but waking me in the night is too much.
Mel, your poor chicks :-0 have they forgiven you yet? Re disappearing text, I vaguely remember googling as it happens with my laptop and I think it is something to do with brushing on the right hand control key. It can be disabled but as per, instructions were gobbledegook.
Wishing Mandy and Vera a better day.
Any gardening on the cards for today AnnG?

2 subs on the shopping today, Chickens furters and giant chocolate lollipops instead of candy canes. One of the boys next door dos'nt eat chocolate so they will be going back as will the furters as I don't like the chicken ones.
12 degrees here and pc says cloudy and this time its right. could rain too as it says rain is 12 km away so I better get myself together and get dressed.

good morning all/ Oh dear Mel, poor chickens they must have been confused. Maybe now you have to remember these things on your own you could set an alarm so they are not left out in the cold. Or put a large note somewhere that you will see it before it gets dark.
hope everyone had a good night and that Vera and her OH are getting progressively better.
Mandy hope you are getting less pain in your hands now.
Island hope the pain killers are helping the sciatica.

A friend popped in today this afternoon and I paid for the monthly draw for the village hall 100 club. I showed her the pens oh made and she bought three for her girls for Christmas which I was pleased about.
Its been raining on and off sometimes heavy.
I did a silly thing yesterday. I looked in the chicken house to see if the new girls had alid in there and one had so I got the egg out but forgot to open the pop hole so they all spent the night out in the rain!!!!!!!!!!!!! two eggs laid in the run and another by the pop hole door whichthey had broken and eaten. I hope this is'nt going to be a regular thing... anyway tansy laid inthe nest box this afternoon so I would have had four eggs today but only three got indoors.
I'm glad your feeling a little better today Vera and hubby too. wishing you both a speedy recovery from this horrid virus.
Thinking of our Mandy too as we hav'nt heard from her since a couple of days I think.

Well, good that you are marginally better Vera, hopefully onwards and upwards. Besides having what seemed like a cold with a mild cough (the cough has more or less stayed with me ever since but is not a chesty one more of a choaky tickle.) I felt quite well except yes I felt very tired and 'dopy'. I suppose brain fog is right. that lingered a bit after I was negative. Unless you hear of somebody who has it (and a lot of people are not testing now so who knows?) it is hard to say where you caught it except you were with a fair number of people at the AGM that really wasn't and the birthday party.

Afternoon all
Sorry to hear your sciatica is back Island. It’s a horrid pain. I hope the painkillers keep it bearable and you get better soon.
Could you try a foam layer on top of your mattress Mel?
Oh dear AnnG, I hope you don’t need to get into your garage. Good job they are not away for a month. When we parked on someone’s drive once we left them some keys so the car could be moved if necessary.
I am feeling somewhat better today, partly because the awful cough has eased quite a lot and I am also starting to eat again. OH is slightly worse but isn’t too bad. He was a couple of days behind me so will hopefully start to improve soon. It was 2 weeks after our jabs that I tested positive but I think that’s just coincidence. We still have no idea where we picked it up.
Did you find you suffered with brain fog when you had it AnnG? My head seems to be full of cotton wool. I won’t bore you with the stupid things I’ve done today but I told OH I was going to write a book called “5 Silly Things To Do Before 10 am”.
My daughter was coming for the day later this week but I’ve had to put her off which is disappointing as we mostly only see her in the school holidays.
Things can only get better.

morning woozy Island, the day will pass in a haze then. Hope you can shake the pain soon. You are the second person this week saying her sciatica is back. Is it the weather?
Yes Mel, I hope I don't need to get into the garage either. I could not believe how close to the door she has parked. I assume she thought I have an internal door. It was dark when she parked and I am sure she is was in a hurry but even so.... She is actually Barbara's friend although I do know her fairly well, have had coffee several times. another one whose husband died a couple of years ago after a long marriage.

Morning Mel and Ann
I'm sorry to read that Vera is poorly and hope they are both clear soon. Funny you should say you also got covid not long after your jab AnnG. My cousin also went down with it within a couple of days of her jab. I wonder if people at catching it at the vaccine hubs?
Mel, get yourself a new mattress, have you tried a memory foam one? Mattresses are a gamble, it's a pity we can't try before we buy. They might seem ok in the shop but what happens if it takes a few sleeps to develop back ache?
My sciatica is back, since Saturday. Not a nice wake up at silly o clock. Painkillers have nearly kicked in so that's me woozy for the day. :-| :-|

Good morning Mel. Have you checked the battery in the key board? although as it is typing some keys ok it may just be that you need a new keyboard, worth changing the battery though first. Hope you feel better today, maybe you felt a bit off yesterday because you are not sleeping well if the mattress is making your back ache. I have a friends car currently on my drive as she and Barbara are off on a coach trip to Tenby until Friday. sadly either Barbara didn't pass on my message or Judith forgot but instead of parking in front of the kitchen window to the side of the main drive, she is parked straight on the drive and right up against the garage. so please all fingers crossed that I don't need to get into the garage for either the C Heating boiler or the fuses. I have no internal door. she parked before 6am as they had a taxi to an early coach in gloucester.

Morning Anng and all,
Did'nt feel too good yeterday. Did'nt do anything in the end, no minitures or crafts of any kind. All I did was feed the chickens and bantam and fish the leaves out of the big pond. BUT I did have an egg from the new girls which was laid in the house and not in the nest box.
Its wet here this morning so must have rained in the night and its 13 degrees and pc say nearest rain 92 km away!! How do they know that???
Still got back ache in fact I think I have had it ever since I bought the new matress oh wanted. I find it very hard and I loved the old one which he burnt.
Posting this before I lose the lot as pc type is not coming otu as soon as I press the keys.

Good morning all. another wet start to the day although I don't know if it has been as bad as they said overnight. It is 10 degrees. I don't have anywhere to go so it will be a day indoors for me. I would really like a dry day to finish doing the garden. Still at least it has not been frosty. Vera, hope you and OH are beginning to feel better. I guess it will be a few days before you both test negative though. I wonder if you caught it at your AGM? possible from the timescale. Not long after your jabs either, when I had it in April it was only two weeks after my jabs.

sorry to hear that you are so poorly with it Vera, I hope you are on the mend now anyway and your OH as well. I wonder where you caught it. Just try and remain hydrated maybe you feel worse because of your ongoing health problems, hopefully nobody else from your group will have caught it, maybe somebody who was there was a carrier.
Anyway let us know when you feel more like posting. <3

Good morning everyone
Sorry I haven’t been posting but I have been pretty grotty for a few days. That’s because we have now joined the Club - we both have Covid. We’re now fully paid up members of the human race.
Joking apart, I wouldn’t wish this on anybody. If this is the milder version that you are supposed to get if you are fully jabbed I can’t imagine what it is like for the unjabbed. At the moment OH is a lot better than me and fingers crossed it stays that way.
I’ve been in touch with everyone who came for the birthday tea on Tuesday and everyone is OK so far. Not told the birthday girl as she will forget within a few minutes of being told but one of our group acts as liaison between us and her family so will make her son aware.
I have read the posts this morning but won’t comment as I am exhausted now and my brain is like cotton wool. Will be back soon.
