Each year on Canada day a service of Remembrance is held at the Shorncliffe military cemetery near Folkestone.
Local primary school children lay posies on the graves of Canadian victims of war who are buried so far from their homeland.

If anyone wishes me to visit a particular grave at Shorncliffe, I will do so.
Please send a pm direct message to me.

Thank you guys!!

practically every community had a party ....... parades, singing, beer, and ending with fireworks.

Plus, this year the Queen and Prince Philip are in Canada, so they attended the biggest party of them all, in Ottawa ...................... estimates of attnedance at that one range from 70,000 to over 100,000

OH and I actually stay home and do our own thing

This year was the 143rd birthday
