Thinking of getting one for OH - we both read a lot, but he gets through more books than I do. I'm endlessly sorting out books to take to charity shops / boot sales so this might be a good option for him. He was looking at them around Christmas time, so think I might surprise him for Easter!

I think anything that gets people reading is a good idea, but I do worry books will become extinct.

Found this now Susan thanks. I was away when you put it on and must have missed it. (was in Tenerife). I have always been anti as I do love books but for travelling, having seen my daughter's, it seems to be what i would use.

I have just received my leather cover with night light....expensive but brilliant.

Just imagine if we had a Kindle when we were at school/college and all books were on there......No more satchel shoulder.....I wish this was about when my children were at college.......I just love it, and considering what it does....so inexpensive too.

I just got mine today....brilliant!

The ease of use is amazing....turn it on and away you go

No eye-strain whatsoever...anti glare. It is light too.I know this is going to be a great boon for me......travelling/hospital visits etc with this is a must for readers.

There are umpteen free books.....PDFs can be sent to it....but most importantly.....up to date books too.

I cannot recommend it enough......great value for money.

EDIT:

I can get the internet on it too...facebook etc & play MP3s
