Thanks Harry. I thought , mistakenly, that there was more to the question, than met the eye, if you see what I mean.
and when I saw Foggys' message , saying they 'dont get
it' ,!! I was looking for what the 'answer' could be.
Just having a mad moment I suppose, as I enjoy puzzles of that sort .!!
Getting back to original question then, money making racket would be my opinion , for what its worth. Agree there are alot of vulnerable people who will sadly believe anything they are told .
Sometimes I dont know how the presenters can keep a straight face when announcing these things.! What has it all come to.? Sue

I would doubt if anyone would get the question wrong. My point is it a money making exercise and not a quiz - as pointed out earlier re "lottery".

They seem to be preying on people who cannot see beyond that - and that is cruel.

Happy days

Harry,
Excuse me if this sounds stupid, but are you making a point or trying to make people look silly by getting the wrong answer.
Foggy, what is this cryptic message all about. Share!!!

The easier the question the more entries and the more money they make. If the questions were difficult not so many people would enter

Its like the D-M__T prize, who ever gets it? I t is just a ploy to get you to buy from every catalogue.

Of course it is Ann, which is why I never try.
It would be like buying a lottery ticket every day.... I certainly couldn't afford to do that.

I may of course win..... but then I couldn't win an argument, so I don't try.

Have any of you won on these phone ins?

This all started when it was made illegal to just have a draw. Every competition has to have some sort of skill, hence the stupid easy questions so that they can say it is not a draw/lottery but they are asking a question.

It is still a draw/lottery.

I used to enjoy entering competitions where a bit of skill was needed, a catchy slogan, or some general knowledge, but these easy ones give every one the same chance like the lottery lol.

This probably says more about me than the people who I'm now going to insult. Competition on TV to complete the above phrase with three options.
Think it's a pound or more to enter. Money making racket in my humble opinion, but who enters?
