Well o.h. is a grandad! Forgot to put this on sooner. Baby Eva Isabelle arrived on Sunday morning, after her Dad made her Mum a hot curry on Saturday to bring the birth on early - she was due this coming Thursday but for some reason, o.h.'s son, the one who got married on A. Bank Hols, wanted to get things moving lol O.h. got a call on Sunday mid morning but managed to get the details wrong so left me a note when he went out, and I was still sleeping, saying she had arrived yesterday(Saturday) and was Eva Elizabeth.
We haven't heard anything more but Mum was staying in hospital on Sunday so maybe she will be home by now.
I am stepping back, there are enough relatives nearby the couple on the Mum's side and no doubt o.h.'s ex will be driving over if she hasn't already to go and visit. The son told o.h. to come over before Christmas, rather a strange comment but up to them to sort out a visit, it's only 44 miles away and can be done by train in a day, there and back .

I just hope things go ok for them with the financial cuts and costs ahead, I think with her not working and him having to travel by train to work here every day, so out of the house a lot things won't be easy but I am sure little one will be well loved even if she doesn't get to see her Grandad much.
I will be way down the list of important people in her life so will wait till my son gets round to settling and having children to be a Nanna!

It's strange, my stepniece had a daughter Isabel three years ago and my son's cousin in Essex had a daughter two years ago, also called Isabelle. Well they say they come in threes lol

Congratulations to you and Oh I love the name and I do hope you get to have some cuddle's , they always smell so lovely.

I had a lovely time in Italy Barb & I went window shopping every chance we got, the hand bags and shoes were beautiful but oh what a price.The Venitian Glass was beautiful as was the crystal jewellery.
The traffic was a nightmare especially in Rome.
I hope you are keeping well, how is your Oh is he looking after himself? his Diabeties will only get worse, men are such fools to theirselves.

This will show what a strange family they are! O.h. tried to ring his son on Monday evening to see if the Mum was home or what was happening. No reply and no call back despite him leaving a message. He finally got round to writing in the card he got and sent that. He has had no more email pics except the first one and no info at all, when I suggested he call again, o.h. told me to stop interfering, his words were It's only a baby! I would have expected a little more news by now, seems the son texted his grandfather with the news and o.h. forwarded the picture of her to him who responded with the fact that she looks like a Smith! (poor little mite)

O.h. then started talking about what he will do with the rest of his holiday due and said he would take a few days off and fit them round a weekend when he could go and stay with the couple and baby so that he could do more work on the bathroom here.

I had suggested we go out one afternoon when he gets home from work to get a few pink things to send a parcel, but so far no response to that suggestion.

I don't think I will get any cuddles for a long time yet and can't see Grandad getting a lot of time with the baby either. When the Mum goes back to work which she was hoping to do out of necessity, there will be even less time to see the babe with them living away from here.

Oh well, not my problem and obviously o.h. isn't bothered much either!

She has two grandmas and a grandad near where they live and Mummy has I think eight sisters and brothers locally as well so no shortage of visitors and support.

Well I used to get on fairly ok with him and his wife, but since the wedding we haven't spoken, not sure if they think I should have watched o.h. more and stopped him saying what he did to upset the NY d.i.l.

O. h. got an email with a couple more pics of Eva, she has her daddy's upper lip and her Mummy's ears lol She looks a bit jaundiced, o.h. said Oh she looks yellow, and on the pic with her Mummy, Mummy looks very tired.

O.h. called the son and asked if d.i.l. is home, apparently o.h.'s ex went to see them as soon as she got the message and the son said Dad you have to arrange to come over soon if you want a look in as we are getting booked up. Now I would have thought o.h. would have said What day can we come but no, he said nothing.
After the call he said W. keeps asking me to go over, so I said Well arrange it then, does he mean for the day or the weekend? O.h. thinks the son means a weekend but also thinks they need time to themselves. I am obviously not expected to accompany him, by the way o.h. spoke, so no idea when I will get to see them, but not bothered, I am happy to step back and let them get on with it all. If he goes off for a weekend it will be a break for me lol

Just can't be bothered with them all any longer. O.h. seemed surprised that his own Dad had sent some money in the card, I suggested on Sunday that we go out and get something to send/take but he is more concerned with going out to get the bath panel he still needs so he can do a bit more on the bathroom.
